Chapter 1 foreword

art of love 埃里希·弗洛姆 630Words 2018-03-18
This book is sure to disappoint all readers who expect to learn from this book the secrets of mastering the art of love.On the contrary, this book wants to tell readers that love is not a kind of emotion that has nothing to do with people's maturity, and only needs to be devoted to the body and mind. This is a book that convinces the reader that every attempt at love fails without the effort to develop the whole of one's personality and thereby achieve a creative disposition; Love others sincerely and disciplinedly, and people will never be satisfied in their own love lives.Everyone can ask themselves, how many people have you really met who are truly capable of love?

Although it is difficult to achieve this goal, it is not a reason enough not to look for the causes of this difficulty and understand the conditions for overcoming it.In order not to complicate this issue, I have tried to avoid using technical vocabulary in this book, and I have tried not to cite other sources as much as possible. But on another problem, I have not found a satisfactory solution. What I mean here in particular is that I repeat in this book ideas from my previous writings.Readers of mine and Psychoanalysis and Ethics will find in this book ideas which I have already mentioned in my last two books. But by no means a summary of these two books, this book also presents some new ideas.Of course, even the old ideas will gain a new meaning in this book, because these ideas now revolve around one topic: that is the art of love.

Al Fromm He who knows nothing loves nothing.A man who can do nothing knows nothing.People who know nothing are worthless. But people who know a lot can love, have insight, and have insight... The deeper the understanding of a thing, the deeper the love.Anyone who thinks that all fruits ripen with strawberries knows nothing about grapes. Paracels* *Barassels (1493-1541), German medical scientist, natural scientist and philosopher. ----
