Hui Zeren (1910-1933), a native of Anding (now Zichang) County, Shaanxi. In 1930, under the instructions of the party organization, he returned to his hometown to engage in secret revolutionary activities. In September 1931, he joined the Shanxi Guerrilla Team of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army (soon to be renamed the Northern Shaanxi Guerrilla Team).On behalf of the Red Army, he fought for and reorganized the local native armed forces, and served as the instructor of the native brigade.In the struggle to open up a revolutionary base area, he fought militias, punished bullies, and fought witty and bravely. In the spring of 1933, he was transferred from the Second Regiment of the Red 26th Army, which was active in the Zhaojin Revolutionary Stick Base, to work in a detachment in northern Shaanxi, and participated in the command of the Battle of Yejicha and the Ambush of Changjiawa.In the same year, Xia served as the captain of the guerrilla team of the Red Army. Together with Qiang Shiqing, he formed a brave team in the battle to outmaneuver Zhang Hongzhen, took the lead in attacking the city, and made important contributions to the victory of the battle.In October of the same year, he was transferred to work in the Central Shaanxi Special Committee. On December 2, he participated in the battle of jujube attack.In the critical situation of the enemy's heavy siege, he was not afraid of danger, and stood alone to cover the retreat of his comrades.He fought fiercely with powerful enemies for a long time and sacrificed heroically.
