Guo Bingkun (1914-1977).A native of Pucheng County, Shaanxi Province. He joined the Communist Youth League of China in 1932 and transferred to the Communist Party of China in 1933.In the same year, he joined the Red Army of Chinese Workers and Peasants.He followed the Red 26th Army and fought in the Zhaojin Revolutionary Base.Later, he served as the political commissar of the First Regiment of the Red Twenty-sixth Army, the commander of the Guanzhong Army Division, the commander of the Trilateral Army Division, the commander of the Third Garrison Regiment of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia-Shanxi-Sui Joint Defense Army, the political commissar and commander of the Trilateral Military Region, and the Trilateral Commander of the Communist Party of China. Secretary of the Party Committee, commander of the 11th Division of the First Field Army, etc.After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he served as the political commissar of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, the deputy director of the Political Department of the Navy, and the political commissar of the Beihai Fleet.

He was awarded the rank of major general in 1955. He died in Beijing on April 6, 1977.
