Zhang Xiushan (1911-1996), born in Shenmu, Shaanxi.In his early years, he studied in Yulin Middle School, took the lead in participating in the student patriotic movement, and served as the leader of the Jiaxian County Association. In the spring of 1929, he joined the Communist Youth League of China and became a member of the Communist Party of China in the autumn of the same year. In 1930, the Northern Shaanxi Special Commissioner was sent to Ningxia and Gansu to engage in military transport work. In 1932, he led the Jingyuan Mutiny in Gansu Province and established the Shaanxi-Gansu Red Army Guerrilla Brigade as its captain.In the autumn of the same year, he went to Shanghai and joined the Party Central Training Class for training.Later, he was sent to work in the 26th Red Army, serving as the political instructor of the cavalry company of the Second Red Regiment, and participated in the first battle of the Jiaojiaping militia victory and the grain distribution struggle in Xiangshan.He was seriously injured in the battle of Miaowan, and he went to Zhaojin base to recuperate. After that, Li Miaozhai raised travel expenses and sent him to Xi'an to recuperate.

After arriving in Sanyuan Wuzi District in June 1933, he was appointed political commissar of the Weibei Guerrilla Army by the Sanyuan County Central Committee.Participated in Ertaizi meeting.
