Chapter 1 preface

I finally made up my mind and named this long-planned book manuscript. For a long time, the desire to "print" a bright red and distinctive "business card" for my hometown Zhaojin has been entangled in my mind.However, when the manuscript was finalized, the title gave me a lot of thought.After thinking about it, I always feel that it is most appropriate to use the word "Zhaojin in the north" in the formulation of "Ruijin in the south and Zhaojin in the north".The reason is: the Zhaojin Revolutionary Base was the first northern mountainous revolutionary base established by our party in the 1920s and 1930s.The establishment and development of the Zhaojin Revolutionary Base is a glorious and important chapter in the history of revolutionary struggle in Northwest China.Even Chairman Mao Zedong once said with emotion at the meeting of senior cadres of the Northwest Bureau held in January 1943: "If there is no base in northern Shaanxi, the consequences of the Chinese revolution will be unimaginable." It was formed after developing and growing on the basis of the revolutionary base areas.It was this very barren revolutionary base that generously and selflessly accepted the ragged Central Red Army that broke out from the Ruijin central base. From this we can see that the northern Shaanxi base also has a very important position in the history of Chinese revolution.While the revolutionary base in northern Shaanxi was developing in full swing, the ideological trend of "left" opportunism quickly raged like a flood in the only remaining revolutionary base in the country. The founders of more than 60 bases, including Liu Zhidan and Xi Zhongxun, He was brutally thrown into prison and tortured.What's more, more than one hundred revolutionary people with lofty ideals were buried alive in the underground base area of the base area, becoming the most innocent victims of the ruthless inner-party struggle.Just as the cloud of "Left" opportunism was spreading in this base area, a large number of wise and thoughtful Communists, including Mao Zedong from Ruijin, saved this base area and more than 60 people who were almost beheaded. The founder and outstanding leader of the base area, he pushed through the dark clouds to see the sunny sky, and promptly dispelled the cloud of "left" opportunism that hung over the Shaanxi-Gansu Revolutionary Base Area.Therefore, speaking realistically, both the Ruijin Central Base and the Zhaojin Revolutionary Base have very important positions in the history of Chinese revolution.It's just that comparing the local revolutionary base areas with the central revolutionary base areas is biased.

However, once upon a time, the saying "there is Ruijin in the south and Zhaojin in the north" was put on the line infinitely and became the target of criticism. For a while, people kept silent about this saying and avoided talking about it.In 1962, it was even more dusty due to the so-called problem of the novel "Liu Zhidan".In 1962, when Liu Zhidan’s sister-in-law Li Jiantong’s novel “Liu Zhidan” changed its manuscript five times and was serialized in the Workers’ Daily and China Youth Daily, it was criticized at the Northwest Bureau’s high-level cadre meeting in 1943. Comrade Yan Hongyan, then Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee and one of the early leaders of the revolution in northern Shaanxi, after reading the proofs of the novel, believed that the novel “has many fundamental issues inconsistent with history,” and he did not approve of publication. The Central Committee of the Federation proposed to stop publishing, and on the one hand, reflected it to Kang Sheng, who was in charge of cultural and educational work at the Central Committee.When Kang Sheng learned of this situation, he immediately asked the Central Propaganda Department to notify all newspapers and periodicals to stop publishing "Liu Zhidan", and wrote to Yang Shangkun, director of the Central Office on August 24, asking the Central Secretariat to handle the matter.Kang Sheng had not read the novel at the time, but he concluded in the letter that "this is not a purely literary and artistic writing issue, it seems to be politically inclined." The nature of the novel changed in this way.Later, at the Tenth Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee, Kang Sheng handed over a note to Mao Zedong who was speaking, saying that "Liu Zhidan" was a novel to reverse Gao Gang's verdict, "it is a great invention to use novels to oppose the party...".Comrade Xi Zhongxun, who had interviewed the author twice and proposed revisions, naturally became the general backstage of this novel. Together with Jia Tuofu and Liu Jingfan, who participated in the revision of this novel, they were labeled as "Xi Zhongxun's anti-party group". Later, it was linked with Peng Dehuai's issue and upgraded to "Peng, Gao, and Xi anti-Party clique"....Later, Xi Zhongxun and a large number of leaders of the Northwest Revolution were persecuted and criticized.Some people even made erroneous assertions such as "the democratic revolution in Northwest China is not thorough" and "the suppression of counterrevolutionaries is not thorough".Moreover, it is believed that the formulation of "Ruijin in the south and Zhaojin in the north" is an unrealistic and absurd argument that Xi Zhongxun is fighting against the party and Chairman Mao, calling for grievances for Gao Gang, and so on.At that time, the central government also sent people to Zhaojin to investigate the so-called "Xi Zhongxun's rebellion"....Comrade Yan Hongyan linked the novel "Liu Zhidan" with Gao Gang, and attacked Comrade Xi Zhongxun at the discussion meeting of the Central Plenary Session, and was used by Kang Sheng and his group of people with ulterior motives. The consequences were very serious. This incident not only implicated Comrades Xi Zhongxun and Jia Tuofu were implicated in the family of the martyr Liu Zhidan.This incident set a precedent for the later practice of putting political outlines in literary and artistic works.Since then, many issues in the Northwest and the revolutionary history of the Northwest have become issues that have turned pale.Fortunately, May 25, 1980.The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China finally issued the "Notice on Rehabilitating the "Xi Zhongxun Anti-Party Group"", which corrected a series of unjust, false and wrong cases caused by it, and the Zhaojin Revolutionary Base also restored its proper place in the history of Northwest revolution. The statement that "the North has a golden light" has also been recognized by most of the people who are seeking truth from facts.Since then, this formulation has also appeared in various media and local brochures from time to time.On the eve of adopting the title of this book, well-meaning leaders and friends sent text messages and phone calls, expressing their worries and doubts about this formulation, but fortunately, it is the age of harmonious development of science after all, and the word prison The era of the era has long left us...?

Maybe it's the reason why I was born here and grew up here. I have been fascinated by the love and hatred of this landscape since I was a child.Therefore, in the voluminous historical records, it is very difficult to collect some bits and pieces about Zhaojin. Although there are only a few fragments in some classics, some have even become the ruins of history...In these historical records about Zhaojin, many materials and legends may not be accurately verified, but I hope everyone understands this, and wishes are always good....Zhaojin's natural and majestic mountains and rivers have left a deep imprint on my young heart. No matter how difficult the life journey is, I still love this place where I was born and raised.Although soaked in a lot of love, but because of the different degrees of love for this side of the landscape, I only wrote the part I am familiar with, which cannot but be said to be a shortcoming.For this piece of red land, during the establishment and development of the Zhaojin Revolutionary Base, countless revolutionary martyrs and people with lofty ideals swung their arms and leaped on their horses, worked hard, overcame many difficulties and obstacles, and carried out heroic and tenacious revolutionary struggles.I painstakingly collected biographies of more than fifty frontier special committees, Red Twenty-sixth Army, and local guerrilla leaders who lived and died in the Zhaojin Revolutionary Base Area through the comparison of many memoir articles on the Internet. While expressing sincere respect to these revolutionary predecessors who were born and died, it can also be regarded as a kind of spiritual comfort to these old revolutionaries.According to the exciting historical facts of the establishment and development of the Jin Revolutionary Base, it is mainly rewritten based on relevant materials in order to pursue the accuracy of historical events and historical figures.In Zhaojin, there are still many heart-stirring legends about the Zhaojin Revolutionary Base. From the various stories told by the ancestors since childhood; from the old Red Army, old guerrillas, and old Red Guards who were still alive During the conversation, I also accumulated some materials and wrote several Zhaojin stories.Maybe the ideological quality is not very accurate; the artistic quality is also stretched;

In addition, what still needs to be explained is that the Zhaojin mentioned throughout the book is not the Zhaojin in the strict sense of administrative divisions, but the scope of development and growth of the Zhaojin Revolutionary Base when the Zhaojin Revolutionary Base was formed. Zhaojin in the sense of the Shaanxi-Gansu Bianzhaojin Revolutionary Base. Before the beginning of the article, I wrote these tremblingly, just to explain something, so as to have a more comprehensive understanding of the Jin Revolutionary Base.
