Chapter 1 Chapter 1 New Life

During the reign of Shenzong Xining in the Northern Song Dynasty, that is, when Wang Anshi reformed the political system, a poet named Yan Jidao met the woman he had been thinking about day and night by accident.Surprised and delighted like a dream but not a dream, he wrote the famous "Partridge Sky": Chi is like a lamp, reading is like work, and reading is like work. For the rest of the silver lamp, I kept holding the silver lamp up and down again and again, for fear of not being able to see clearly, for fear of not seeing enough, for fear of seeing the wrong person.Even so, I still worry that it is in a dream.

What kind of affection is this! It feels like we have known each other.During the Anshi Rebellion, Du Fu and his family were reunited after the catastrophe, wouldn't it be "Lighting candles at night, relatively like a dream"?Could it be that the people who reunited with Yan Jidao after a long absence were also relatives who were separated during the war? No, it was a certain singer I met once. The singer's name has not been confirmed. We only know that on the night of the first meeting, the lyricist drank heavily for her, and she also sang and danced all night for the lyricist, and those songs were written on the back of the fan. This is what it means to dance low to the heart of the willow building and sing to the wind of the peach blossom fan.

One night's fun is actually unforgettable for a lifetime. Ha ha, this is too much love. The problem is that this kind of affection is not uncommon in Song Ci.for example: Zhangtai Road is actually synonymous with nightclubs, because the place where Changan singers and dancers lived together in the Tang Dynasty was called Zhangtai Street. The phrase "the door is covered in the evening, and there is no plan to stay in the spring" also means that the beauty is easy to grow old and youth is no longer.Apparently, this poem was written for the brothel girls in Huajie and Liuxiang, and it is full of sympathy.

So, who is the author? Ouyang Xiu, who was a deputy prime minister and often showed his Confucian solemn face. Of course, some people say that the author is Feng Yansi of the Five Dynasties and Southern Tang Dynasty. But it doesn't matter, Feng Yansi also served as prime minister. What's more, Ouyang Xiu has also written other lyrics for singers, such as: to imitate a song first, hold back, want to laugh and then frown, the most heartbreaking. This is true: the spirit of the times is not in the horse, but in the boudoir. Speaking of which, this is also the tradition of the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties. In fact, the word, also known as long and short sentences, has been dominated by boudoir love almost from the day it was born. This is not only because the lyrics were originally sung by singers in the early days and were popular in the Qin Lou Chu Pavilion, but also because, as mentioned in the volume "An Shi Rebellion", the mood of the scholar-bureaucrats has changed since the mid-Tang Dynasty, and their eyes have also turned from the outside world to their hearts.Only in this way can their emotional experience become very delicate and real.

Those are some pretty touching stories. For example, there is a woman who knows that she can't keep her lover, even if "it's useless to keep it", but she clearly remembers the clothes he wore when parting: white silk (same as ramie, read as living) spring shirt as snow-colored , Yangzhou first went to Japan.Yes, how can such a handsome young man in white go to Yangzhou, where singing and singing, swallows and dances, on a sunny spring day? There is another song with the same tune and the same effect: April 17, which was exactly last year today. When you bid farewell to the king, you held back your tears and pretended to lower your face, half blushing in embarrassment.Just like recording history, it starts with an accurate date. Although Du Fu has done it before (the emperor's second year in autumn, and the first month of August is auspicious), "Northern Expedition" was originally a work that reflected social conditions and public opinions, so it is of course a serious matter. What is this word written about? It's just love between men and women.

This is really: the heart is not tied to the national conditions, but to the boudoir. Indeed, poets in the Song Dynasty were passionate. An affair, maybe even just a glance, can produce the eternal masterpiece, such as He Zhu's "Sapphire Case": Lingbo is the footsteps of a beautiful woman; Fangchen is the figure of a beautiful woman.Who is this beauty?I don't know. But the author can't help but wonder: who will she spend her splendid youth with? But, anyway, I can't see it.Only the infatuated poets are left not only watching, but also following. His infinite melancholy is like green grass all over the ground, catkins all over the city, and yellow plum rain all over the sky, both numerous and light.

The feeling of lightness has long been there, such as: Bai Juyi's masterpiece between poetry and Ci can be regarded as the originator of Song Ci.In fact, since the mid-Tang Dynasty, there has been an indescribable thought in the hearts of poets and poets. This kind of thinking has repeatedly become their topic, and they can't stop if they want to complain.Although no one can tell clearly, what is the thing that looks like a flower but not a flower, like a mist but not a mist, like a dream but not a dream, like a cloud but not a cloud. Probably, it can only be called idle sorrow, or leisure.

Xianchou is like a poem and a painting in the works of Zhang Xian, a poet of the Northern Song Dynasty.Just as He Zhu, who has the famous line "Plum, Huang Shiyu", is called "He Meizi", Zhang Xian, who is good at writing "things in the heart, tears in the eyes, and the person in his heart", is also called "Zhang Sanzhong".But Zhang Xian calls himself "Zhang Sanying" because his favorite words are: In fact, Zhang Xian's more beautiful sentence is: This kind of artistic conception is really light to the extreme. Indeed, before and even after Su Shi, many Song Ci poems were light music, and the theme was either boudoir love or leisure love.Wind, Flowers, Snow and Moon, Sorrows of Parting and Affair and Elegant Collection are often regarded as the true colors of the genre, and the representative figure is Yan Jidao's father Yan Shu.

Yan Shu is extremely good at writing boudoir love or leisure love. For example: at the top of the building, there is a dream at five o'clock, and the flowers are sad at the bottom of the rain in March.Another example: the slanting moon between the windows has two sad eyebrows, and the falling flowers and tears fall outside the curtain.Another example: when a sorrowful dream wakes up from alcohol, the setting sun shines on the deep courtyard. And: last night the westerly wind withered the green trees.Go up the tall building alone, looking at the end of the world. Such flowers are as light as a dream, and the rain is as thin as sorrow, which is obviously different from the all-encompassing Tang poetry, which is full of breath. It seems that, at least for Yan Shu and others, the pursuit of words is no longer heavy, but skillful; not the atmosphere, but the state of mind.

The representative work is this popular song "Huanxi Sand": Yan Shu's era was the peaceful and prosperous early Northern Song Dynasty; he himself was a pampered dignitary. However, we clearly read the nameless melancholy and a touch of sadness from his words. It is really surprising and emotional that a unified empire with centralized power should start singing such a ditty. The difference between Tang and Song may be here. Indeed, Zhao Song was very different from Li Tang, not only the political power, the system, the culture, the life, even the capital was new.In the past, the capital city was either Chang'an or Luoyang, but in Song Dynasty it was Kaifeng first and then Hangzhou.

Then let us walk into Songdu and see the life there.
