Chapter 8 Chapter 7 Let's Smile and Go

No one knows how deep Ngawang Gyatso's affection for Rinzen Wangmo is, and he doesn't need others to know, he just needs the two of them to be in the same heart. In his poem he wrote: Infatuated and eager to ask, Can we depend on each other for a long time? Yi Yan said farewell to death, Never want to live away. (Translated by Liu Xiwu) In the past, he wasn't sure how deep Rigzin Wangmo's relationship was. He believed in his heart that she was the one to marry in this life, but he didn't know if she was the one to marry. He asked her anxiously, hoping to get a satisfactory answer.Sure enough, she opened her lips and teeth lightly, and said words that moved his heart: "Unless I die, I will never leave you in my lifetime."

What an oath!Ngawang Gyatso was overjoyed by this answer. It has laid a solid mark on their love, and it seems that from now on, they can grow old forever and be with them forever. Girls in Tibetan areas have their own frankness. Once they decide to love each other, they can easily entrust their whole life to them.Their affection is unpretentious, as if love should be so heartfelt. Faced with such a life-and-death vow, Ngawang Gyatso thought of his parents.Back then, my father was also a poor man who had learned classics, but my mother stayed with him without hesitation.Although they were not rich together, they lived so happily.Only death can separate them, but even so, he knew that Grandma's love for Abba has not diminished in the slightest.Renzeng Wangmo is really a kind woman like grandma, she can be his beloved wife for the rest of his life.

Therefore, Ngawang Gyatso made Rigzin Wangmo live in his heart down-to-earth and became a habit of life.Sometimes he felt that he could not do without her in his life.He began to quietly make small calculations for the future.Love does not care about the length of acquaintance, as long as two people are willing, from now on is the starting point of their pursuit of eternity. He wanted to take Rigzin Wangmo back to the place where he was born. Come to think of it, everyone has a hometown complex. No matter how long you leave or how far you go, one day you will return to the original point to see the appearance in your memory. Are the rocks I sat on when I was a child still as smooth; Are the trees I climbed still the same tall; Are the water plants in the river still the same green? The older you get, the stronger your sense of belonging. Even if you are too old to speak your native language, and your eyes start to blur, you still have to go back to your own place.Such a complex is not difficult to understand today.

Originally, at Ngawang Gyatso's age, he should have worked hard outside. But the death of both parents made him mature early, and this sense of belonging made him more attached to his hometown.Since his mother passed away, his hometown has become Ngawang Gyatso's mother. There is his beautiful childhood, and the breath of his parents hovering in the wind. Furthermore, Menyu is originally a treasure land in Tibet, and the footsteps of spring always come here first.Rhododendrons are in full bloom, and the red color all over the mountains not only decorates the mountains, but also gives people a shocking beauty. The moo, baa, bleat of cattle and sheep, the bursts of waves in the highland barley fields, the mountains, rivers, and people are all his dreams.Although my hometown is not as prosperous as here, as long as there is love, everything will be as beautiful as the feelings of parents.

He wants to live in the same house his parents used to live in.Even without them by his side, he believed that in the Buddhist kingdom, his parents would bless them both. When Ngawang Gyatso was full of joy, he didn't know the changes in the world. At this time, Sangjie Gyatso sent a peace council to see Kangxi, hoping that the emperor would spare Galdan of the Junggar tribe. Galdan is the brother of Batuer Huntaiji, the leader of the Junggar tribe. He was a teacher under the fifth Dalai Lama in his early years, so he and Sangye Gyatso are brothers of the same school. In 1670, because of tribal civil strife, he returned to secular life and participated in the power struggle. After many fights, he killed his nephew and became the king of the tribe. In 1678, he was canonized by the fifth Dalai Lama as "Boshuo Ketu Khan" and established the Junggar Khanate.

Galdan acted arrogantly and ambitiously. In the more than ten years after the establishment of the Khanate, he first sent troops to southern Xinjiang, occupied the Yarkand Khanate, and put the vast Uighur area under its rule; The tribes of Erka Mongolia moved south; they also attacked Khalkha Mongolia in Monan, robbing people and livestock.Such a move angered the Qing Dynasty. With Galdan's arrogance, I am afraid that one day, the Qing Dynasty will become the target of his trampling.Kangxi was determined to fight in person. He organized two armies on the left and right to go out of Gubeikou and Xifengkou respectively. They fought in Ulan Butong and Galdan was defeated. At that time, the fifth Dalai Lama sent a peace-seeking team, which gave Galdan a chance to breathe and made him flee northward by night.

After that, Galdan entrenched in the Khovd area, gathered the remnants, and recuperated. But he didn't change his old habits and kept harassing the tranquility of the frontier. In 1696, Emperor Kangxi sent another 100,000 troops to attack in three ways. The West Route Army defeated Galdan's army in Zhaomodo.Originally, this incident was nothing unusual, but what was strange was that when Galdan was under attack, the fifth Dalai Lama sent a peace council to intercede with Kangxi. This is already the second time that the fifth Dalai Lama has intervened in the war between Kangxi and Galdan. The last time it can be said to be concerned about the relationship between master and apprentice, so what is it for this time?

As for the actions of the fifth Dalai Lama, people are already a bit puzzled. But thinking of the wise actions of the fifth Dalai Lama before, there should be his reasons for doing so!But what people didn't expect was that the fifth Dalai Lama they talked about had passed away long ago, and it was Dipa Sangye Gyatso who issued this order. When people are talking about this, they don't realize how much change this will bring to Tibet. For his own selfish desires, Sangjie Gyatso will surely offend the imperial court one day.Once Diba is unable to control the situation, war is inevitable. But now, it still seems to be a battle that took place on a distant grassland, and people have nothing to think about except to talk about it.

As for Ngawang Gyatso, he didn't even hear about this incident. He only had his lover and plans for the future in his heart. Ngawang Gyatso has no idea about continuing to study in the monastery. He has already drawn a blueprint for the future. He has always remembered the teachings of his masters in the past few years. His parents have passed away long ago, and the person who is closest to him in this world is his master. He wanted to go to Master's room and tell them everything. He wants to tell the story of every inch of his heart, waiting for their comfort and blessing. Ngawang Gyatso went to the master's room, saw the master sitting there, and announced, "Master, I have something to tell you." The master just stroked his hand and said nothing. Ngawang Gyatso knew that the master had acquiesced. .

Ngawang Gyatso went into the room and sat down, and said: "Master, I met a girl at the foot of the mountain. Her name is Rinzeng Wangmo. She has a heart like a Bodhisattva and a face like a Bodhisattva. I have been deeply moved by her." Yes, we agreed to go through this life together, I will be her groom, and she will be my bride. I have learned a lot from so many years of study, what I lack is to put all kinds of knowledge into practice. I imagine Like my father, be a wise man who spreads knowledge among the people." After speaking, there was a trace of sadness in his eyes, and the master knew that he was feeling sad for his parents.

Ngawang Gyatso continued: "Master knows that both my parents have passed away. In this world, the person I love the most is Master. We hope to receive Master's blessing. I wonder if Master can fulfill the wish of my disciples? " For the departure of Ngawang Gyatso, the master is very reluctant, after all, there are not many disciples with wisdom roots like him.Considering that studying in the monastery was completely voluntary, he had no reason to persuade him to stay, not to mention that this was still a place of the Red Sect, where it was normal to marry a wife and have children. After a long sigh, the master took out the usual divination tools for newcomers, did a fortune-telling for the disciple, and chose a date.Ngawang Gyatso took out an object and handed it to Master, which will be his token to Rinzen Wangmo. The master held the object and read it silently for a while, and then sent blessings on it, and when it was returned to Ngawang Gyatso, he said, "I hope you will be happy and happy." After receiving the token, Ngawang Gyatso felt unspeakably excited, and he wished he could tell Rinzeng Wangmo the news immediately. He ran to the market, and saw auspicious Tibetan curtains hanging in front of him fluttering in the wind. He couldn't believe his eyes. He actually met a new couple. Isn't this a good omen? In the lively bazaar, the big lama was dressed in a costume, holding a mascot to ward off evil spirits, and muttering words. He was at the head of the welcoming procession, followed by a few young lamas playing their trombones. The sound of the trombone might let people a hundred miles away know that today there is a pair of lovers who will become enviable family members. In the middle of the team, followed by a group of singing and dancing, they sang and danced, surrounding the bride and groom. The smiles on the faces of the young couple infected everyone around them.Joy can be read even in the eyes of an old man with a bit of dementia. Isn't this scenario exactly what Ngawang Gyatso was looking forward to?Ngawang Gyatso was emotional, and couldn't restrain his inner curiosity. He followed the wedding team step by step and arrived at the main venue for the wedding. In the yard, people from all over the world, wearing colorful clothes and accessories, danced traditional dances around the delicacies placed in the middle of the yard - highland barley wine, buttered tea, beef and mutton. They turn and turn, jump and jump, as if caught in a vortex of happiness, unable to extricate themselves. After a while, the seats reserved for the guests were already full, and the formal wedding ceremony was about to begin. The flesh and blood of the Tibetan people have long been integrated with the Buddha.Nothing in their life can be separated from the Buddha. They believe that only under the protection of the Buddha can they obtain happiness and well-being.Every year, some Tibetans travel thousands of miles and kneel to Lhasa to pray for the blessings of the Buddha with their sincerity. And such a big event as marriage, how can it be separated from the spokesperson of the Buddha? The first item of the wedding is the chanting blessing of a highly respected monk. The newlyweds looked at the monk meticulously, carefully considering every word in it, chewing on the joy and blessing of the Buddha for their union.Their eyes are as beautiful as Gesang flowers; their faces are like sunshine. Thanks to the Buddha, the two newlyweds took strips of white khata and dedicated them to every guest present and their family members.Everyone who accepted the hada felt the joy of the two newcomers, and they were all happy. The sound of gongs and drums in the yard didn't stop for a second, but the couple couldn't take the time to join the jubilation. They were toasting the guests one by one.Ngawang Gyatso knew that after another sang, the couple completed their wedding ceremony and they became a family, which is so gratifying. Ngawang Gyatso's eyes were fixed on the bride and groom motionless, and what he saw seemed to be him and Rinzeng Wangmo. He watched the newlyweds receive the master's blessing, they presented hada and toasted to the guests, and their relatives sang and danced in the courtyard.Expectation floated in his heart, he knew that his bride was more beautiful than today's one. While thinking about it, he found a familiar figure in the crowd.Yes, that is Rigzin Wangmo.Without warning, they looked at each other two by two.Without words of communication, just a look, they already understood each other's mind, and red clouds also floated on the faces of the two of them. They avoided the eyes of everyone and walked hand in hand.Ngawang Gyatso gave the token blessed by Master to Rinzeng Wangmo and told her the good news.A rosy glow immediately flew over her face, and even a hearty woman was melted into a shy girl at this sweet moment. They whispered and laughed, as if there were only the two of them left in this world. The future life is slowly taking shape in their hearts. But they don't know that it's not death that separates them, but fate that separates them.
