Guo Moruo commented on Liang Qichao and said: "Before his new and vigorous remarks, almost all the old ideas and habits were like the fallen leaves in the strong wind, completely losing their splendor. Teenagers twenty years ago—in other words, : That is, the children of the propertied class at that time—whether it is for or against, it can be said that there is no one who has not been baptized by his thoughts or words.” Cao Juren commented on Liang Qichao: "Intellectuals in the past half century have all been influenced by him." When Hu Shi commented on Liang Qichao's articles, he said: "In that era, no one could not be moved by his shock when reading such writings." .People call him a conspirator, which is exactly the opposite."

Kang Youwei said to Hu Shi: "All my works were written before the age of 26. Zhuo Ru (Liang Qichao) will continue to improve in the future, and I am not as good as him." Hu Shi talked about his specific evaluation of Liang Qichao in his diary: "Mr. Ren is talented but cannot be trained systematically. He is eager to learn but cannot be a good teacher and friend. He entered the WTO too early, became famous too quickly, and took too much responsibility for himself. Therefore, his influence is great and his own achievements are great. Wei. In recent days, I have thought about the most immortal works of his life, and it is difficult to pinpoint one book. Later, I concluded that his "Xin Min Shuo" pointed out the shortcomings of Chinese culture and praised the virtues of the West. It is his most immortal achievement that the Chinese followed the law. Therefore, my elegiac couplet points out his wish to be a "new citizen of China". When the "Chinese Culture Institute" was launched in 1967, there was a fallacy that "Mahayana Buddhism is the highest religion of mankind; the culture that produced Mahayana Buddhism is the highest culture in the world". After all, he is a smart man, so he gave up this plan soon. If he does not have this retreat in his later years, my elegiac couplet can say: "China's new people, life ambitions. The Chinese Revolution, the writing is amazing.'" (Note: Hu Shi The written elegiac couplet is: The writing has received merit, the Chinese revolution. I have promised myself in my life, and I am a new citizen of China.)

Yin Haiguang said that Liang Qichao, although he is already a historical figure, "but in the eyes of this moldy society, his views appear to be so fresh, vigorous, healthy, cheerful and powerful." Huang Zunxian once commented on Liang Qichao's writing: "Thrilling, a single word is worth a lot of money, what is not in everyone's pen, but it is in everyone's mind. Even a man of iron and stone should be moved. From ancient times to the present, the power of writing is greater than this. carry on." Zheng Zhenduo said that Liang Qichao "is still a lively foot light and strong man who moves with time".

In January 1943, Liang Shuming wrote an article "Commemorating Mr. Liang Rengong", and made the following evaluation of Liang Qichao's life: "When Mr. Rengong was in his heyday, the general society felt his inspiration and accepted his leadership. His influence was widespread. , It was beyond the reach of any contemporaries such as Kang Youwei, Yan Jidao, Zhang Taiyan, Chen Duxiu, Hu Shizhi, etc. We have never seen a person who can exert such a wide and powerful influence as he did.” "Someone commented on him with a few words: It appears like a long comet candle sky, like a viburnum shining on the world, and it does not come one after another, and then the light sinks. He has a keen sense, but he can express it externally and convey it to people. He can absorb all kinds of different thoughts and studies and is the best at displaying them. But he lacks implicit and profound numbers, so he can't last for a long time."

He compared Cai Yuanpei and Liang Qichao and said: "Comparing Mr. Cai and Mr. Liang, Mr. Cai is like Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty. He doesn't need to fight everywhere on his own, but he can gather ordinary heroes to achieve great things together. No matter whether you are a scholar or a scholar, Mr. General Han Xin, the more the better, the more he advances, the more he advances. His influence on people is direct, which Mr. Cai can't match. Ren Gong is full of enthusiasm, so he can't help but want too much. Sometimes he is innocent and innocent. The heart is lovely, and it is also great. But lack of concentration, lack of composure, so many failures in life."

"In general, Mr. Ren Gong's achievements in his life are not in academics or meritorious deeds. He is alone in welcoming the new world movement, opening up new trends, shaking the hearts of the people of the country, and achieving a transformation that Chinese society should have in history." Li Zehou once commented on Liang Qichao in "On the History of Modern Chinese Thought" and said: "He is not a thinker, but a propagandist." Student Zhou Chuanru commented on Liang Qichao: "He is not a thinker, not a teacher of classics. He focuses on sorting out national histories, not on exegesis, textual research, or famous objects. He is a historian, especially an expert in academic cultural history."

After Liang Qichao's death, Wu Mi said: "Mr. Liang is the most influential figure in the history of modern Chinese politics and culture." Liang Qichao's self-evaluation: "If the husband's theory is true, then I am most used to challenging the public opinion in my life, and I am not afraid to challenge those who are today's me and my past self." Chen Mingyuan commented on Liang Qichao: Liang Qichao's specialty is that with his amazing memory and keen comprehension, he can possess information in detail and quickly sort out a clue from it, in an orderly and orderly manner. But his flaws followed, that is, he was not deep enough, and it was difficult to discover the deep essence; compared with masters such as Zhang Taiyan, Wang Guowei, and Chen Yinke, Liang Qichao was not "deep" enough, but "simplified".

Tan Renfeng angered him for "selling out friends, making enemies, betraying teachers, and all kinds of selfish and profitless behaviors. Both good and good personality have been lost." Disciple Chaoguan said: "If you don't get confused about big things, if you put grievances aside, few people can match them." American scholar Joseph said: From the Reform Movement in 1898 to the May 4th Movement in 1919, Kang Youwei played a small role, while Liang Qichao became the real leader of the theoretical circle since the Opium War. From 1902 to 1911, the period from the publication of "Xinmin Congbao" to the outbreak of the revolution was Liang Qichao's golden age.

Wu Qichang wrote about his teacher Liang Qichao, "He himself recognized the merits of Chen Sheng and Wu Guang, but the public evaluation of the world later, his courage, spirit, and prestige are actually ten thousand times higher than Chen Sheng and Wu Guang." Guo Zhanbo, an intellectual historian in the period of the Republic of China, set up a special chapter to analyze Liang Qichao’s thoughts in "The History of Chinese Thought in the Past Thirty Years", and believed that the main purpose of his new people theory was to build a new morality-public morality. "The standard of public morality is to benefit the group. National ideology and rights ideology; the people want freedom and self-government; they must have an enterprising and adventurous spirit. The reason why China has not progressed for thousands of years is that all obstacles have not been eradicated, so they must be destroyed. And the people must have self-esteem, gregarious thinking and perseverance. He also pointed out that Liang Qichao's thinking "actually represents the thinking of Western capitalist society, and it is a big wash away from the patriarchal feudal thought of thousands of years." In the overall evaluation of Liang Qichao, the author believes: "Liang's thinking in China His contribution to history is not as great as his contribution to the history of academics. His contribution to the history of thought is not as good as Kang Youwei's creation, and not as good as Tan Sitong's destruction. Most of his thoughts come from Kang and Tan's two families, so his thoughts are not deep, inconsistent, and shifted at any time. Contradictions, but its influence is great because of its vivid writing and strong publicity."

Contemporary scholar Dong Defu believes that Liang Qichao was the founder of modern Neo-Confucianism in his later years. He consciously opposes the misleading of scientism with humanism, and advocates to heal the spiritual suffering of the world with Chinese spiritual civilization. Chen Yinke said: Mr. Ren Gong is highly educated and knowledgeable, which is rare in modern times. However, commentators always regret that it cannot be insulated from China's 50 years of corrupt politics, and regard it as misfortune for the husband. That is to say, I am suspicious.Reading the old history of the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, I saw that Liu Zangchun and Yao Fuxu all spent their time away from the world and engaged in state affairs with others.Mr. Kuang seldom studied Confucianism. It was based on the purpose of Dong Shengguo's unity of body and body, and Mu Yiyin Tianmin's foresight.

Liang Rongruo recalled: Mr. Ren Gong admired Wang Jinggong, and his conduct and knowledge were also close to Linchuan. The farther you are from him, the more you feel his magical power of sound and light, which is deafening, overthrows the heroes of the world, and expands the hearts of the ages. When you get closer to him step by step, you will find that he is unavoidable to be a bit aggressive, stubborn and careless, and the place where he is eccentric and self-satisfied is not all the natural principles and human feelings, and the neutral and happy education of the wind and the moon. But the longer and farther you are away from him, you will still realize that he is vast, towering, and "even if you want to follow him, there is no way to do it", he is outstanding and great. Internet scholar Xu Suizhi called Liang Qichao "the first person in China in the 20th century" and "the first person in Encyclopedia Enlightenment" in his list of China's 100-year-old people, giving him the highest evaluation.
