Ma Yifu once changed his name to "One Buddha" and worked hard to read the twelve classics of Tripitaka. The "Wenyuan Pavilion" in Hangzhou is next to the West Lake. There is a collection of "Siku Quanshu" there, and Ma Yifu often reads there. do not read".He combined Confucianism's "combination of management and affairs" with the "Four Dharma Realms" of Huayan School of Buddhism, and put forward the theory of "Confucianism and Buddhism intermingle". Ju Shushi", "So the words of the six arts are manifested in this land; the mystery of the Tripitaka is performed from the other day, the dharma realm is the same, and the source of the heart is listed as two."

Ma Yifu set up the "Prajna Society" as a lay Buddhist, and made friends with eminent monks and great virtues, and exchanged ideas on Buddhism. The abbots of the various forests in Hangzhou became his guests. Ma Yifu's virtue is highly respected, and many Buddhists have asked him to write biographies and inscriptions on towers, such as "Afterword to the Stone Carvings of Five Hundred Yingzhen Statues in Hupao Temple", "Preface to the Meeting of Shurangama Zhengmai", "Praise of Master Jianzhen, an Eminent Monk of the Tang Dynasty", "Chong Engraved "Preface to Master Lianchi's Precept to Kill and Release Lives" and so on.His Buddhist monograph "Fashu Gouxuan" is rich in content, precise in interpretation and far-reaching.

At the beginning of the 20th century, Li Shutong studied at Shanghai Nanyang Public School and met Ma Yifu who was studying in Shanghai. More than 10 years later, Li Shutong came to Hangzhou First Normal University to teach.Because both of them are famous calligraphers and also like Chinese and Western music, Li Shutong often went to Yanding Lane in Hangzhou to ask for advice from Ma Yifu who lived there and lived there.Li Shutong invited a lot of scriptures from Ma Yifu to read, and later he became a vegetarian. He erected a Buddha statue in his house, and the house was full of green smoke all day long.Li Shutong went to the mountain of Hupao Temple to fast. After returning, he studied Buddhism more deeply, and still talked about Buddhism with Ma Yifu.

Feng Zikai, Li Shutong's disciple, wrote about Li Shutong's relationship with Ma Yifu in his article "Mean Alleys": "My art teacher, Mr. Li, seems to think that the power of art is weak, and he can't get over his addiction to spiritual life. Music books and utensils were given to us. I went to the mountainous area to break my food for 17 days, and came back to study Buddhism and prepare to become a monk. One day before becoming a monk, he took me to this back alley to visit Mr. Ma. I followed Mr. Li Entering an old house in this back alley, I saw a middle-aged man with a short stature and a beard came out to meet us. I was introduced, bowed to this gentleman, and sat on a chair to listen They were talking. Actually, I couldn't understand what he said at all, I only heard fragments of words like 'Shurangama' and 'Yuanjue'..."

When Ma Yifu learned that Li Shutong was going to be ordained in July and that he was going to be ordained as a bhikkhu in September, Ma Yifu personally introduced and accompanied Hongyi to Lingyin Temple to receive ordain. ", Qing Dynasty Jianyue lawyer "Baohua Chuanjie Zhengfan" two books.Hongyi later said in the preface of "Records of Precepts and Precepts of Bhikkhu of the Four Parts of the Law": "Ma Yifu, a layman, was played around with "The Collection of Lingfeng Vini Stories" and "Baohua Biography of Precepts". It is my wish to learn the precepts." It can be seen that Ma Yifu had a profound influence on Master Hongyi who later studied the precepts.

In 1928, Hongyi sent 30 volumes of the "Five Precepts and Sutras" to Ma Yifu.Ma Yifu thought that "for the temptation, I am grateful and thank you immeasurably, and I will be right in time."Hongyi once expressed to Ma Yifu that he hoped to get a copy of "Qingliang Shuchao".In his correspondence, he often expressed the words "worry and sorrow in the vulgar are unspeakable, and the body of Fuwei Dao is peaceful and quiet, less sick and less troubled", and the mutual concern and mind are intertwined. In the summer of 1930, Master Hongyi felt "hand tremors, dizziness, dizziness, and arm pain that makes it difficult to lift."But he still did not forget Ma Yifu, and asked Xia Mianzun to hand over a pack of stone stamps, "to bid farewell to Ma Yifu, saying that there will be no more correspondence or meetings in the future."

During the Anti-Japanese War, Ma Yifu was on the way to escape, and suddenly received a letter from Master Hongyi, knowing Hongyi's will to die for religion, he was filled with emotion. He copied the letter to his friends in the future, and praised, "This old man has forgotten his body for the Dharma. He really has a good demeanor. He is worthy of being my old friend!" Not involved in age.Baozhang can still stay for a thousand years, but Zhaozhou can stay for a hundred years. The whole world has never been separated, and the time is cold and tender.Going deep into the samadhi of compassion, the red lotus melts away all spears and spears.

Li Shutong and Feng Zikai's mentors and apprentices once wrote "Husheng Paintings". When it was published, both masters and apprentices thought of asking Ma Yifu to write a preface. In February 1938, when Fengzi Shiqi wrote the second and second episodes of life-protecting paintings, Ma Yifu pointed out: "I hope to do my best to develop non-war literature and leave a glimmer of life for the world's humanity. Witnessing the devastation of war and experiencing the pain of chaos, I felt a sense of loss. For words, it will be more kind and easy to move people." In 1942, Master Hongyi passed away, which caused a great shock in the Chinese cultural circle. Ma Yifu wrote an elegy: Gao Xingtuo is heavy, leaving behind the art of art.Self-knowledge that the mind is a Buddha, and always take precepts as a teacher. The three realms are like stars, and the whole body is in harmony.Only today is the seamless tower, but there are no buds.

On January 10, 1954, the stupa of Master Hongyi was completed in Hupao Temple. Ma Yifu inscribed the six seal characters of "Master Hongyi's Pagoda" on the body of the tower. And wrote "Tiger Pao Lita Poem" said:
