Ma Yifu's original name was Futian. Since then, he has changed his name to Ma Yousheng and Ma Gengyu successively. Later, he used Ma Yifu or Ma Yifo, which shows the desolation of his state of mind. In 1893, Ma Yifu's mother died. The day before his mother died, pointing to the chrysanthemums in front of the court and ordering Yifu to compose five-character poems for his studies, he was limited to Mazi rhymes. He responded immediately and said: "I love Tao Yuanliang, and I pick chrysanthemums in the east fence.
