A prison car from the Ministry of Public Security—not the prison car with the siren sounding like now, but an ordinary sleeping car, but it is an out-and-out prison car.The prisoner is me.I was not handcuffed, but sat in the car like a chief, with people "accompanied" on both sides, but I was an out-and-out prisoner. The car drove out of Deshengmen in Beijing and headed north.Except for the occasional honking in the car, there was no other sound, and no one spoke.I don't know where to go.This was the second half of 1966, not long after my country's "unprecedented" "Cultural Revolution" began.

After more than an hour of fast driving, we arrived at the foot of a low mountain. From the bottom of the mountain to the middle of the mountain, there is a high wall, and there are several buildings inside the wall. This building is very special. From a distance, there are only small holes, which are probably "windows".what! This is a prison, this is the newly built Qincheng Senior Prison! In the years when the monsters were confusing right and wrong, how many heroes of the revolution suffered here!Later, Feng Jiping, former director of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau who survived and later served as the deputy director of the Central Investigation Department, said: "If I knew that the prison I built was for my own detention, I would definitely build it better."

The mood of an innocent man locked up in an airtight prison speaks for itself. At this moment, no matter how powerful he is, he becomes so weak and at the mercy of others, humiliation, sorrow, and resentment well up in his heart, but they can only stay in his heart! I didn't feel too sudden when I was sent into this high wall, because it was before.I've been in a prison that's not called a prison for over three years. In September 1962, just as the Tenth Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee was held in Beijing—this kind of meeting has always been a meeting where the Party Central Committee makes major decisions and frequently receives good news. As usual, I look forward to it with excitement...Suddenly, the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee received an urgent call from the Organization Department of the Central Committee: "Immediately send someone to escort Shi Zhe back to Beijing."The Provincial Party Committee of course complied.I wondered in my heart: Are you transferring me to Beijing? Why do you need to "send someone to escort" "immediately"?Do you want to dispose of me?What to do with me?Even though Bai En was puzzled, he had to obey the order. So, the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee "immediately" sent the Secretary-General to "escort" me to Beijing. But my heart is always calm and down-to-earth.Because I myself know me, and both comrades in the Central Committee and Chairman Mao know me.

When I arrived in Beijing, I got off the plane and was picked up by a car and went straight to the Central Organization Department. The organization department, where cadres always feel at home and feel very cordial, is now suffocating. They asked me to sit in a room to rest, and the staff outside the door were running around and asking each other, "Is Shi Zhe here?" I could hear them all.I am even more inexplicable, but what else can I do besides waiting? After an hour or so, Vice Minister Li Chuli appeared in front of me. After a few words of greeting, he drove with me to the Wanshou Road Guest House to meet An Ziwen, Minister of the Organization Department. An introduced to me the situation of the Tenth Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. He also mentioned that Kang Sheng had passed a note to Chairman Mao at the meeting: "Someone wrote novels against the Party", etc., and then explained that these things "had nothing to do with me", and transferred me back to Beijing, just "to clarify the problems of Gao Gang, Xi Zhongxun and others. You have been close to them in the past, you should understand some problems, you have to be honest, say what you have, and explain clearly to the party", etc.The questions he raised can be summarized into three aspects: one is my relationship with Gao Gang and Xi Zhongxun and all their activities; the other is what bad things Gao and Xi have done; Bad things, and all the problems I know should be fully explained to the party. After the talk, send me back home.

In an attitude of loyalty and honesty to the party, I want to help the party figure out the problem with the responsibility that a party member should have. The difficulty is that I can't find any bad things, but in order to prevent myself from distinguishing between good and bad, I have no choice but to not distinguish between good and bad, and explain everything I know.So it took a few days to write detailed materials and hand them over to An Ziwen. While they were looking at the materials, I had three or four days to spare, so I used this time to visit an old acquaintance, Wang Shiying. At this time, Wang Shiying was the governor of Shanxi Province, and he was recuperating in Beijing due to illness (I mentioned the persecution he suffered many times in the article "Kangsheng I Know").When he saw me, he was very surprised, and said that I should not return to Beijing at this time, and it was better to go back to the original station immediately. When I told him that the Central Organization Department transferred me back, he was dumbfounded.I could tell by the look in his eyes that he wanted to tell me "something is wrong," but he couldn't get it out of his mouth.I only stayed for a while, and he gave me a few big apples, and I understood: He wished me peace, but also told me that it was time to leave. He shook my hand tightly as he sent me away.Unexpectedly, this meeting turned out to be a farewell!

Bad omens come one after another, but I still can't guess, what disaster can I suffer? ! Three or four days later, An Ziwen said to me: "The leader (I immediately realized that this "leader" was Kang Sheng) had read your explanation, but he said no, he couldn't pass the test, and he couldn't hand in the papers (these are all my faults). I’m tired of listening to Kang Sheng’s usual language), and I have to be honest.” Although An Ziwen said this, I could feel the guilt in his heart, and he couldn’t help it!During the "Cultural Revolution", he was also defeated and dispatched to Anhui. When his son Anmin went to visit him, he said to the child: He has done two unconscionable things in his life, and the first one is to be sorry for Shi Zhe.I don't blame him. How can he not carry out the instructions of the "leader"?He himself was not spared the same fate.

After An Ziwen talked with me this time, he never showed up again. Two days later, Li Chuli announced to me: "From now on, you have nothing to do with the Organization Department of the Central Committee. Your work has been taken over by another department." Dongzongbu Hutong (the former residence of Li Zongren) was put under house arrest, and I was not allowed to say goodbye to my family.Since then, I have been missing from home for more than ten years. My head is covered with a "golden hoop". down tightly. Ever since I was imprisoned in the building in Dongzongbu Hutong, Don Quixote-like characters began to fight me.In the past three years, there were always 20 or 30 people who "talked" to me, plus nearly a hundred people who asked me for materials. At the beginning, there were four or five cadres who seemed to be a little bit more senior (deputy ministerial level). He said that he had known me for a long time. He had worked in the United Front Work Department and participated in the leadership of the construction of the National Cultural Palace. We froze at the beginning of the confrontation. After several tosses, he stopped coming. But after a while, he appeared again. This time he came alone, very humble and kind, with a low voice. After exchanging pleasantries, he said that he was sorry for me and asked me to forgive him for being rude, because the "leader" asked him to be strict with me, and he had to do it against his will.I found out later that he came to confess to me before he was about to leave this job.

The one who came next seemed to be a bureau-level cadre, probably transferred from another place. At the beginning, they were aggressive, putting on airs, yelling, beating tables and chairs, and threatening others. But he couldn't talk for a few words, and his thoughts were blocked, his language was exhausted, he was at a loss, and he looked embarrassed.I satirized him a few words: "It's useless to play the 'Three Trials', and it's even more useless to shoot a gavel. I am a wronged victim, but I am not Su San who was framed." Unexpectedly, it took effect. After that, he never dared to pat again.I found out from his change of words that every time he talked with me, he would report to Kang Sheng, and then attack me with what Kang Sheng taught him.Once I said: "When I was in Yan'an in 1942-1943, I was already tired of hearing this from him. That's how he taught us at that time, but this method is useless. Now It’s even more useless. If you repeat this, you’re asking for trouble?! The reason it’s useless is because it’s unscientific and not seeking truth from facts.” The poor man asked me, “Who did you listen to when you were in Yan’an? "I said: "You have answered the question yourself. If you are willing to play hide and seek, then let's play enough. But I will tell you: I heard him speak a lot more in Yan'an than you here .However, this method did not work in the past, and it does not work now!" Later, he introduced himself and said: He met Ren Bishi in Yangjialing, Yan'an, but "I don't know why I didn't meet you, the political secretary!" I repeated it several times in the future, but I don't know what his intentions were. I think he looks like a veteran cadre who came over from the Long March. He told me: The secret Bishop Kang gave him was to ask "why" for every sentence I said, and to ask 10,000 "whys" for every sentence, so that I could never finish answering. But as a result of his experiment, he also felt very boring. So we often just sit opposite each other, silent. After one dumb show after another, he never came again.

The number of people who asked me questions became less and less, and there were only two or three people left. Among them was a person surnamed Duan from Pingshan County. He said: He has never contacted and dealt with the issue of a cadre at my level, "Today, he came forward to examine you one by one, teacher and philosopher, really, really...". Two or three years have passed like this, and the same words have been repeated countless times, so I have nothing to say.Once I asked the question myself and I said: "We have talked a lot, for a long time, but it has never touched on my fifteen years in the Soviet Union, if you have any questions about this, please ask, I would like to Clarify.” This person did not dare to express his opinion, and immediately ran downstairs to call for instructions. After going there for more than two hours, when he came back, he said: “I don’t have time today, let’s talk about it next time.” I understood, they both agreed. The scope of my conversation was delineated by Kang Sheng, and they never dared to go overboard, and Kang Sheng was taboo about the period in the Soviet Union (for the reason, see the article "Kang Sheng I Know").

After several days, one morning, this person came again.Obviously the issue I want to talk about is a threat to Kang Sheng, and he has a guilty conscience and dare not let me talk about it.After planning, the scope was re-limited, and he was sent again, but the person who came thought that he had mastered a new weapon, and came to fight me with pride. It's a pity that he is just the master's mouthpiece. The question he asked was: I want to explain the relationship between Mao Zedong and Stalin.I asked: "Are you talking about the personal relationship between Mao Zedong and Stalin? The relationship between the two parties? Or the relationship between the two governments? And what issues are involved and what period of time: before the founding of the People's Republic of China, Or after the establishment of our new political power?" He could not answer, but said vaguely: "About Chairman Mao's situation." I asked him again: "Who proposed and entrusted you to discuss this issue?" He answered arrogantly Said: "The censorship cadres are the same to everyone, and they can ask anyone's questions." I said, "You are wrong. Don't you have the power and qualification to censor anyone and everything?" This angered me. He, he jumped up, and said viciously: "We have the right to censor anyone!" So I asked him to come up with a special decision from the Central Committee, and the decision must be clearly written: "The Central Committee ordered Shi Zhe to fully explain the relationship between Mao Zedong, Stalin, and the Soviet Union. The relationship between them.” I said: “As long as the central government officially makes such a decision, I will naturally explain everything.” So they called me “arrogant”, “defiant”, “disobedient to superiors” and so on.I didn't show any weakness, so I scolded them, and when I got tired of scolding, they left.

They used nerve warfare, and I took the initiative. After scolding each other, they didn't see each other for five or six days.I, too, had to wait and prepare for an attack from either direction. Those two finally showed up again. When they appeared in front of me, they changed their previous fierce and hideous faces, but greeted me with a smile, asked about my health, diet, daily life, etc., and kept silent about the substance. The problem.Do I need these falsehoods? What I need is to solve the problem! So I couldn't bear it anymore, so I offered to talk. What do they ask me to talk about?I have already realized that I won the last fight, so I simply took him into the army again. So I said, "Let's talk about Chairman Mao's foreign affairs that you raised last time." They hurriedly said, "Don't talk about that issue, and never talk about things related to that aspect again." Funny and sad: poor ignorant people, you can only serve as someone else's stick blindly! At the beginning of 1966, I was transferred to No. 20, Tai'anhou Street, which was also a private courtyard. Here, they only came once, and just to see me, ask me what I want, how is my health and so on. I lived here for less than half a year, and then I was transferred to Xueyuan Hutong, which is the backyard of a cadre from the Ministry of Public Security.I stayed here for less than two months (that is, in the second half of 1966, when the "Cultural Revolution" swept the country, but I didn't know anything at the time), and was sent to Qincheng Prison. Minister Xie Fuzhi's decision. In Qincheng, my number was 6601 (that is, Prisoner No. 1 in 1966).At this time, there were indeed very few detainees in the prison, and many buildings were empty. The building where I was placed was empty, with only about three prisoners in it.The window in the room is as high as one person above the ground, and this is one of the rows of small holes seen from a distance. During the period after I was put under house arrest and imprisoned, apart from the mental torture and depression, my standard of living was still quite high, and the food was plentiful. There is only one person in charge of me here. This person seems to be an old staff member with experience and practice. He comes here several times a day, asking me to go for a walk for a while, and for a while to do light labor. When I can't do it, he comes to help me. He is very kind, and his words and actions are almost humane, and sometimes he chats with me to chat with.He has met most of my requirements in life.He got all the utensils I asked for, such as a small wooden table, paper, pen and ink, inkstone and washbasin. One day, during a chat, I asked him: "Of course you detain criminals here, but is it appropriate to detain innocent and innocent people here?" He answered very well: "This is the state's I need it.” (!!!) And said in a comforting tone: “You are here, just stay at ease and pay attention to protecting your health. If you have any requirements, tell me, I will try my best to do whatever I can For this." His words were indeed a bit of consolation to the unfortunate. But the good times didn't last long.Around November 1967, the troops came, military control was implemented, and all the original management personnel were successively replaced.Entering 1968, I heard that all the original managers had entered the "study class". Although Qincheng Prison is "controlled" by some people in the army, they can neither manage nor arrange work, but can only do one thing, which is torturing, insulting, swearing, and making small moves. They only said one sentence to all the detainees: "You are a counter-revolutionary" or "You are an anti-Party element".If he refuted him, he immediately asked: "You are not a counter-revolutionary, why are you locked up here?! Want to get out? No way!" Yes, what a simple "truth"!How easy is it to reverse? ! It has been more than a year since I was bothered by anyone. Since these "big soldiers" came, they have started endless boring torture for no reason. They constantly and deliberately knock on the door of the cell, even at the time of rest, to wake up, so that people cannot rest and rest. There are only corn bread and pickles for meals. They seem to use the prison as a place for "military training". One day after a lunch break, a group of people came, some in military uniforms and some in plain clothes, but from the looks of them, they were not unfamiliar, they were all soldiers. However, when we met, there was nothing to talk about.Especially the older ones, when they are officers, they seldom talk, but the young people rush forward. One of them was very positive, but he ran out of words after a few sentences. He could only repeat those few sentences without finding the end point. This is how time rolls by. As the "bourgeois headquarters" rang through the air, I realized that the shrapnel would fall on me.So I took the initiative and wrote a long account in detail and clearly about what I knew about Liu Shaoqi and my contacts with him. After handing it over, there was no response. After about two months, a group of people came and accused me of "not explaining thoroughly", "avoiding the important and neglecting the important", "not getting to the point" and so on.I invite them to ask specific questions. They couldn't answer specific requests, they just pestered and pressed them blindly.I understand, it's not that I can take the initiative if I strive for the initiative. Since I intend to torture you, can I still let you take the initiative? So a new round begins. According to their request, I re-wrote the "confession" that I had already written, but it was obviously still "unable to hand in the test paper" and "unable to pass the test". The people who come to talk to me every day are all soldiers, including sea, land, air, infantry, cavalry, artillery, all kinds of services and arms. They never asked specific questions, and in fact they couldn't ask any specific questions. Instead, they just kept pressing, pressurizing, and abusing them blindly.Their intentions were concentrated on one point, that is, they wanted me to fabricate: "How did they cooperate with Liu Shaoqi to oppose Chairman Mao"?When I found out their intentions, I asked back: "Not long ago, you spent a long time saying that I was with Gao Gang against Liu Shaoqi, and now you are saying that I was with Liu Shaoqi against Chairman Mao. May I ask: Am I against Liu Shaoqi?" , or with Liu Shaoqi?!" The school-level officer with a Jiaodong accent replied confidently: "This is not contradictory!" It's really ironic, can you still say something clear to them? ! Then they questioned Liu Shaoqi's "secret relationship" with Stalin.I asked back: "Did Stalin want to bribe Liu Shaoqi to do spy work?" I replied: "Of course it was not Stalin himself, but his secret service did this." I said, "If you don't understand the Soviet Union, you can also use the We make some inferences about the relationship between China's national leaders and various ministries and commissions. Think about it, would Stalin, as the leader of the party and the highest leader of the country, personally go about buying secret agents? Their government officials and anyone else, who Dare to touch Stalin's guests?!" They were at a loss. However, these poor people, as tools of others, could not help but desperately and brazenly reckless. The wheel battle didn't stop, but they just didn't dare to ask questions anymore, and kept pressing, forcing, and urging. This went on for two summers, and in the second summer (1968), they made raids day and night, taking turns to intimidate them, without letting them rest for a moment. I was locked in a small room with the doors and windows closed, and the room was stuffy, with the temperature reaching over 40°C.They turned on the electric fan and only blew it on themselves. They put me in a corner and stood facing the wall, not allowed to move. This lasted for more than 20 days. My legs and feet were red and swollen. But the wolf-like howling still lingered, and he was neither allowed to rest nor seek medical attention. At this time, some managers who came back from the "study class" saw that my injury was serious and invited a doctor. "My God!" The "doctor" looked like "He Xiangu". She stood looking at me from a long distance outside the door and asked me, "Have you ever had syphilis? Where did you get this disease? There is no cure for the disease!" I asked for some sterile cotton and a bandage, and I bandaged it myself, but she ignored it and turned away. Barbarism?During these desperate days, I did have the idea of suicide...what!Those who have truth have no minimum right to live; those who have no truth have supreme power! This right takes advantage of ignorance to achieve such inhuman barbarism. When people say goodbye to the world, they always look back on their own life, especially those who are persecuted, they always have to search for the origin of this field. In other memoirs, I have already described the seeds of disaster I planted spontaneously, especially because I knew too much about Kang Sheng, so I couldn't escape. In addition, there are some clues, I have recalled—— From 1950 to 1952, there was a gossip circulating among the staff of Zhongnanhai, mainly about Liu Shaoqi's opinion. These opinions are that during the founding ceremony of the People’s Republic of China in 1949, Jiang Qing hurried back to Beijing from Moscow in order to participate in the celebration of Tiananmen Square, and Chairman Mao firmly refused to allow her to go up to Tiananmen Square, but Liu Shaoqi brought Wang Guangmei up. When Chairman Mao returned to Beijing from Moscow in 1950, he refused to let Jiang Qing go to the station to pick him up. Before that, when Liu Shaoqi came back from Moscow, Wang Guangmei went to Tsinghuayuan station to meet Liu Shaoqi. There are other rumors that are not conducive to unity, which damage the prestige of the leaders.I couldn't keep my words in my heart, I couldn't help it, so I reported it directly to Chairman Mao.After Chairman Mao heard it, he asked me to tell Liu Shaoqi, Zhou Enlai, Zhu De and other comrades the gossip I had heard. I know, but Chairman Mao's words cannot be defied. As a last resort, I bit the bullet and reported something to Liu Shaoqi, just reminding him to pay attention. Between 1950 and 1952, Jiang Qing went to the Soviet Union twice, once accompanied by Zhang Guonan, and once again accompanied by Lin Li.As the chairman's wife, Jiang Qing was given special treatment by the Soviet Union—a separate small building, accompanied by cadres from the Central Liaison Department, equipped with guards, specialized medical staff, and a separate small stove. After Jiang Qing enjoyed all this, she was not satisfied again. The main reason is that she is dissatisfied with her appearance in front of people only as the chairman's wife, without any public title, and feels that her status is not glorious enough and not brilliant enough. It is impossible for us to know all the activities she carried out for this purpose, but I can know one or two from my personal experience. One morning in the early summer of 1952, Chairman Mao’s confidential secretary called me and said that two Soviet doctors had come and asked me to go to the Chairman immediately.Of course I didn't dare to be negligent, but as soon as I walked into his door, I felt that the atmosphere was abnormal.Sitting on one side of the room were Mao Zedong and Jiang Qing, and on the other side were a Soviet doctor and an interpreter.I know this translator from the Ministry of Health, and he speaks Russian fluently. They were having a good time talking.I immediately realized that my presence was unnecessary, and that Chairman Mao was staring at me with disgust.I was very embarrassed, and when I was about to find an excuse to leave, Jiang Qing dragged Mao Zedong to another room. After more than ten minutes, they turned back, and their attitudes changed drastically.Chairman Mao just faced me, and as long as I translated for him, the translator from the Ministry of Health would not let the translator interrupt, which made me very embarrassed, but I still expressed my trust and respect for the translator, and we discussed the translation together.I feel sorry for the translator and myself.Afterwards, I learned that the confidential secretary notified me to go, but it was just done according to the past routine. He didn't know that the routine had changed! At a meeting of the Politburo in the early summer of 1953, Mao Zedong suddenly asked: "Where did the political secretarial office of the secretariat come from, and put him next to me?" Politburo decided to set up.It is a collective work unit of the secretaries of the Central Secretariat. Its regular work is to deal with letters from all walks of life, various organizations and the masses for the chairman and vice-chairmen. I am the director of the office and have worked for four years. When the participants explained this situation, the chairman said: "Then why didn't I know?" Everyone said: "You probably forgot." The chairman said: "I just need a secretarial group, not the political secretary office. It was immediately decided to set up another secretarial group, except for me, the original group was the same, but the group leader was Jiang Qing. After Yang Shangkun was ordered to convey this decision to me, he added: "Look at this old man, everyone knows it, only he said he didn't know it." Fortunately for myself. Then, Mao Zedong specially hosted a banquet for the head and deputy head of the secretary group. In this way, Jiang Qing has not only an official position, but also political status, and his natural status has also been improved. But she was just a name, and did not do any actual work. That’s it, she still couldn’t fill her desires, and after a while, she put forward a new request to the chairman: she was asked to review the literature and art materials such as dramas, movies, dances, etc. sent to Chairman Mao; When the "Cultural Revolution" began, he even served as a literary and artistic consultant for the Chinese People's Liberation Army. For all these, Mao Zedong accommodated her.The subsequent development is already well known.Needless to say. I'm only talking about things that concern me here. In the autumn of 1954, Jiang Qing said in a conversation with a comrade, "Shi Zhe must be brought down, ruined, and stigmatized." Why didn't he say it.Why did Jiang Qing hate me so much? This can be traced back to when I was the director of the office of the Secretariat of the Central Committee during the Yan'an period. At that time, I neither met her requirements for a job position, nor refused to reimburse her a large amount of unnamed accounts, for which she held a grudge. On the other hand, and a more important aspect, it was because she was in a quarrel with Kang Sheng, and Kang Sheng wanted to put to death all those who knew his true face on Mount Lu.The saddest thing is that they were trusted and used by Chairman Mao at that time. At the turn of 1954-1955, I once went to Chairman Mao’s office for some business. After doing business, he suddenly said to me, “When you come to my place in the future, don’t go through the confidential secretary in advance, and don’t call to know them. , just come directly, I have already told the sentinel not to block you." Oh my god! What's going on here? Not only was I not flattered, but my mind was in a mess. I didn't know why, but I just felt a chill down my spine. Not long after, I saw him again, and he said to me: "You can be my secretary!" But he didn't say anything about the secretary, let alone whether it was decided by the central government.I reasoned that I was not competent, but he still insisted that I was just being modest. These two meetings made me subconsciously feel that my situation is not good.I made up my mind, I must jump out of this circle of right and wrong! Not long after, when I was about to exit the door after finishing my business in his office, he came out unusually to see me off, and walked back and forth with me in the yard of Yi Nian Tang, talking while walking.Suddenly asked me: How many students are there in the Russian Institute? How many students are there in the preparatory department for studying in the Soviet Union? After I answered, he asked again: "Aren't you afraid of the surplus of Russian-speaking talents?!" I was very surprised when I heard that, because I was under the pressure of needing Russian-speaking talents in all aspects. How could I know that such warm Sino-Soviet relations would break down? !So I replied: "Because I couldn't train enough Russian-speaking cadres to meet the needs of my work, I was hit every time at the meeting of the State Council. Where did this 'surplus' come from?" He saw that I was not enlightened. , I couldn't understand what he meant, so I had to say: "Forget it, I won't talk about this today." As early as 1950, when Comrade Ren Bishi had just passed away, Kang Sheng said: "Shi Zhe lost Bishi's backer, and it is difficult for him to cope. It is just around the corner to attack him and bring him down." I At that time, I thought: "What kind of fortune teller are you?" There was a crack in the Sino-Soviet relationship, and Kang Sheng said: "The Sino-Soviet relationship broke down, and Shi Zhe was the first to bear the brunt!" I still think how can I be equal to the Soviet Union?Recalling this, I thought of a saying: "Don't be afraid of being stolen by thieves, but be afraid of being missed by thieves." I have been "worried" by Kang Sheng for a long time. How can I escape his clutches? ! In order to leave this environment, I took a lot of pains. How to get out of your current job?How can I get there?where to?do what? Finally, I decided to write a letter to the comrades in the Secretariat of the Central Committee to explain my wishes and requests, hoping to go to the localities to do practical work and exercise myself. What was not thoughtful about this matter was that I did not ask Chairman Mao for instructions in advance, and my letters to other comrades in the Central Committee (Liu Shaoqi, Zhu De, Zhou Enlai, Deng Xiaoping, etc.) were not forwarded to Chairman Mao, so I went to meet with Chairman Mao before I left. When he was the chairman, he was very dissatisfied and said that I was leaving Beijing, but he didn't know in advance.I felt very embarrassed, so I said that if the chairman had important instructions or opinions, I would like to stay and leave later. The chairman asked, "When are you leaving?" I replied, "I will be driving in two hours." The chairman said, "In that case, you should leave first, and we can talk about it later when we have a chance." In January 1957, I went to Jinan and served as the secretary of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee Secretariat.During my work here, I deeply felt that I didn’t understand and adapt to the ways of the world in China. It’s not enough to work hard to gain a foothold. My situation is very difficult. But I shouldn’t be wrong, I shouldn’t be indiscreet in life and make mistakes. This provides an excellent opportunity for Kang Sheng who rejects different forces and deliberately harms me, and it also fulfills Kang Sheng’s prophecy: "Shi Zhe It will be stuck in the quagmire of Shandong and cannot be pulled out." Kang Sheng was very involved in dealing with my problems. In addition to being expelled from the party, Kang Sheng also proposed three conditions: first, "arrange Shi Zhe far away from the main road of railway traffic"; second, "sever the connection between Shi Zhe and the central government"; third, "prevent Shi Zhe from Flee to the Soviet Union (?!)".Only Kang Sheng's special brain can think of this.It can be seen that the treatment of me is nothing more than an excuse. 13 Years A Prisoner is even more irrelevant. When the Shandong Provincial Party Committee decided to restore my party membership, Kang Sheng suppressed him again, and waited until the Tenth Plenary Session to further harm me! The four or five years I worked at Fufeng Farm in Shaanxi was the happiest period of my work.I devote myself to the management and research of animal husbandry, fruit trees, water conservancy, etc., without any mental burden, and I feel happy. At the same time, he also maintained a correspondence with Chairman Mao.I promptly wrote letters to Chairman Mao on issues that I saw that I considered to be of a principled or policy nature, and Chairman Mao also approved my letters several times to local governments, or to Premier Zhou for handling.Sometimes Ye Zilong sent a letter to convey his words: "Don't worry, the party knows you well, and your party membership issue will be resolved, it's just a matter of timing." I wonder if Chairman Mao knew about the decision? Anyway, I was held in the hands of Kang Sheng, he must put me to death and be quick.Rather than being tortured to death slowly like this, it would be better to commit suicide, which can save some suffering and also express protest, so I tried every means to collect a large needle, an iron piece (which can sharpen the blade), and a copper wire (which can be sharpened). Electric shock), and then twist cloth strips into a rope (can be hung). The reason for so much preparation is that which method is the most sure to use depends on the camera. Just when I was almost ready for all these, Kang Sheng's ferocious face seemed to appear in a trance, and he said viciously: "I want you to die here!" I suddenly woke up, and I thought: I can't let him get his wish !Later, a comrade told me: When sending me to prison, Kang Sheng did say: "Shi Zhe went in alive, but he couldn't get out alive." Just at this time, a distinctive young soldier came, and his accent was from Shanxi. He is peaceful.Make sense. His appearance helped me strengthen my courage to live.I thought: If I die unexplainably, who can complain for me?Is it a "self-inflicted protest" or a "suicide in fear of crime"?For this reason, I also have to live and endure. The soldier with a Shanxi accent came here five or six times, and each time there were only two people. They never spoke in an interrogating tone, but kindly and politely asked about my health, my health, my diet, and my daily life. Medical conditions are provided.Once they came to talk to me. There were originally two people in the room. After I entered, one person left his seat and walked out. Only the young man with a Shanxi accent was left. After talking for a few words, I seized the opportunity to say: “I There is a letter addressed to Chairman Mao, please take it out and try to forward it to him, can you?" He asked me in surprise, "What is it written in?" I said it was about exposing Kang Sheng. He immediately replied that he couldn't take it out, let alone submit it, and, "Think about it too, is it okay to write such a letter in your current position? Anyway, I can't take it out, let alone send it to Chairman Mao. In your hands, think about where this transit time will be sent? I am afraid that the next move will be successful, and it will only cause trouble and disaster. I think for your sake: 'If you keep the green hills, you will not be afraid of no firewood'." He spoke sincerely But it made sense, so I lost my heart.I am grateful to him! A few days later, another group of people came. Although they were dressed in civilian clothes, they could still be seen as soldiers. As soon as they opened their mouths, they asked if my letter was finished and what was the content of the letter?I pretended not to know what I was referring to. And me? what! no problem!
