Chapter 44 Concluding Remarks About Mountains and Seas

secret file 何建明 1631Words 2018-03-14
Like the readers, when I write this, I am a little tired.Although I have said almost everything I have to say about the discovery of the Daqing Oilfield, I still feel that there is still something in my heart that I have not poured out. At this time, my daughter took her homework and suddenly ran to my desk and asked, "Dad, which one do you think is better, the mountain or the sea? Which one do you like better?" I was taken aback, thought for a while, and told her: "The mountains and the sea are both good, I like them both." "No, no, I can only say one thing." My daughter coquettishly asked me to stand firm, otherwise she would not follow.

This stumped me, and for several days I was unable to come up with a satisfactory answer to my daughter's question. It was only later that I discovered that the mountains and the sea have their own magnificence and majesty. If personal love and emotional preference are excluded, it is difficult to make a clear conclusion about them-the yin and yang of nature. When mountains and seas make peace, the harmonious beauty of nature is born. When the mountains and the sea are separated, it shows the unique beauty of nature. In fact, even when the high mountains and the sea collide, they are still the exciting magnificence of the huge waves and the turbulent waves.

From the high mountains and the sea, I think of two masters, Li Siguang and Huang Jiqing.Don't they just look like a mountain and the sea! Yes, for this work, I used tens of thousands of words to truthfully describe the historical role and tortuous experience of Huang Jiqing as the main organizer and leader of the geological science work that discovered the Daqing Oilfield. Some people may misunderstand that I am Completely deny Li Siguang and his theory of geomechanics. If you think so, it is really a big fallacy. The fallacies about the discovery of the Daqing oilfield problem have harmed many people, and I think it is no longer possible to use fallacies to wrong others.

History has entered the end of the twentieth century. Whether it is Li Siguang or Huang Jiqing, it should be explained that more than 90% of the reasons for such antagonism were created by the Cultural Revolution; Clearly, we should learn more profound reflections from the scenes of great sorrow and joy that the ancestors experienced at yesterday's Vanity Fair, no matter whether it is songable or tearful. If the mountains can be modest, the sea will keep the bitterness to itself, and send rain to the mountains through clouds and thunder; similarly, once the mountains become docile, it will also return the trickling streams to the sea through rivers and rivers. This is exactly the reason why nature has the breathtaking and spectacular beauty created by nature!

Between our scientific and intellectual circles, it is more important than anything else to be more tolerant and understanding and less deceitful and speculative like nature. In terms of academics, in the invention and creation of science, the era of sectarianism, monopoly, repelling, attacking, and even destroying others in order to improve oneself no longer belongs to today! Therefore, at present, we should look at some historical issues with a calm attitude of seeking truth from facts, and the purpose is still to avoid repeating the same mistakes tomorrow and in the future. Just like I want to continue to praise Master Huang Jiqing, when he heard that the oil production in the Daqing Oilfield was unstable, he went to Songliao again in person despite his eighty-year-old age to point out the direction of deep mining for the oilfield, and his dedication at the last moment of his life. As much as I still care about the Tarim Oilfield, I also want to praise Li Siguang's indelible scientific contributions as an outstanding geological master in the twentieth century-this is different from pointing out his regrettable achievements in the era when political movements and class struggle were the key points. Behavior is not contradictory.

In order to write this article well, I specially asked several gentlemen who know Li Siguang’s academics to tell me about his achievements—— In the 1920s, the young master went to the south of the Yangtze River alone and discovered the Quaternary glacier of Lushan Mountain, which caused a sensation at home and abroad; In the 1940s, mature masters held the banner of geomechanics alone, and made new achievements in crustal movement, dumping the International Geological Forum; In the 1960s, facing the natural disasters of earth-shattering, the elderly master prophesied magnificently: Earthquakes can be predicted!

... Just these, my heart surged after hearing it, and I admire it so much! I am particularly gratified that quite a few disciples behind Huang Jiqing feel the same way as me, and they also sincerely respect Li Siguang and Li Siguang's academic theories. This makes me wonder, if it is Li Siguang's disciples, should they also abandon the past or existing prejudices, with a sincere and realistic attitude, absorb some nutrition and learn from the academic thoughts of another geological master, Mr. Huang Jiqing, and learn from his personality Spirit too! If this is the case, when this work is finished, I can get some comfort in my heart.

Finally, I end this article with a poem from a geological poet: I investigated in the Himalayas and picked up colorful shells; I drilled a well in the East China Sea and took out Gu Shan's skeleton. The transposition of mountains and seas is so ruthless but reasonable, with resistance, jealousy, and cooperation... When you are a sea, you share weal and woe with fish all the time; when you are a mountain, you give soil, flowers and trees to bear fruit. Oh, what enlightenment does the shell and bone give me, can it only be explained by geologists? I invite both those who have been promoted and those who have descended to answer how to accept the harsh choice of objective needs...
