Chapter 19 18 Shoulders of Morality——Record of the Second National Moral Model Li Xuehai

One day in September 2009, Li Xuehai from Shouguang, Shandong received a red invitation from the State Council, specially inviting this Shandong man to attend the state banquet for the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Li Xuehai held the invitation card in his hand, his heart filled with excitement. He has countless honors, but he especially values the honor of being a role model for justice in the whole country. Although, bravery sometimes deals with death. He left home when he was young, and the road under his feet started with 2 cents. In order to survive, he drove a small boat to haunt the turmoil, and eventually became an excellent entrepreneur.

An entrepreneur worth over 100 million, in the eyes of others, he should cherish his own life even more, but for decades, when others were in danger, Li Xuehai extended a helping hand to rescue more than 100 people, and he also fought with others several times. Death passed by. The tree that embraces is born at the end of the millet. Perhaps, when you know his life experience, you will respect him especially as a person. Li Xuehai has suffered a lot since childhood. In 1937, his grandfather Li Rongfu went to Shouguang Yangkou to work as a loading and unloading worker at the wharf. When my father was 12 years old, he went to the wharf to join his grandfather. He started selling steamed buns at the Tongjilou Hotel in Yangkou, and then worked as a crew member on a ship. Many years later, he became the captain of the fishery brigade in Shouguang City, and settled down in Shouguang.

As long as Li Xuehai can remember, there was no house in his family. The family of six lived in a small rented small west house. It was not until the fishery brigade allocated two thatched houses that they had a permanent residence. Although it was crumbling, it was finally established. Belong to your own home.At that time, in winter, the thatched shed leaked air everywhere, and it was so cold that it was as cold as an ice cellar. Even the water in the water tank could be solidly frozen to a thickness of more than 20 centimeters. His mother, Shan Lianrong, did not have a job. Li Xuehai, a younger sister, and two younger brothers were all underage. Their father worked alone to support the family, and their lives were very difficult.

As the saying goes, the children of the poor headed home early.Li Xuehai was sensible early on. He knew how to help his parents with work since he was a child, and he never had any disputes with his younger siblings. He saw his father carrying the heavy burden alone, and his siblings were skinny and hungry. He felt that as the eldest son, he should stand up earlier and work with his father to support the family. In April 1973, Li Xuehai turned 18 years old. One day, he said to his mother, "Mom, I want to go to the Northeast. I think I will grow Dazhai fields at home. I will never have a bright future. I'd better go out and work."

Shan Lianrong's eyes widened: "Part-time job? Xuehai, you got injured on the boat that year, how can you rest assured when you go out again? Although it's a bit tough at home, it's safe and sound as a family together." "Mother, I will be careful, I am an adult now." Li Xuehai made up his mind to go. "When I go out to work, I can have a full meal, and there is one less mouth at home. Maybe I can earn some money back." Shan Lianrong sighed deeply: "Xuehai, you have decided to leave. It seems that you have been thinking about it for a long time. Mother knows that she can't hold you back. When you are out alone, you should pay attention to safety and learn to take care of yourself. "

"En." Li Xuehai nodded vigorously. The next day, Li Xuehai embarked on the road to the north. This was his first time traveling alone. A few old clothes were all his luggage. He was full of ambitions, as if he saw a bright future. Going out to work would at least give him something to eat. Well, he thought so. When Li Xuehai arrived in Jiaohe County, Jilin Province, he found a job very quickly. Four years of time hastily slipped by in the mountains in the northeast. He shuttled through the forest farm in Jiaohe County, braved the biting cold, and stepped on the knee-deep snow to transport wood and burn charcoal.

In the past four years, no matter how much or how long he worked, Li Xuehai could not get paid a penny. What he got in exchange for hard work was a "full meal" like rice cakes every day. Whenever the night comes, Li Xuehai will be homesick, and his mother often comes to him in his dreams. By the time of New Year's Eve in 1977, there was no movement in the mountain forest where there were not many people, and it was as quiet as death.Missing has tortured Li Xuehai to the point of collapse, and he can no longer bear the pain of homesickness.Could it be that leaving home, being far away from relatives, and doing such heavy physical work is just to have a full meal?Besides, if I have food to eat, what about the family? Not worth it!He decided to quit and go home immediately.

Li Xuehai, who was eager to return home, embarked on the road back home. He walked one day from the forest farm to a small railway station in Tiangang Town, Jiaohe County. But at that time, I was penniless and had thousands of kilometers, so I couldn't walk home. There is no unparalleled road, and Li Xuehai was worrying when he suddenly found a 5-cent coin on the ground. As if he had found a treasure, he immediately picked it up, bought a platform ticket, and boarded the train home. The fifteenth day of the first lunar month is a day of reunion, and the big moon hangs high in the night sky. With the barking of dogs, there was a rapid knock on the door.

Shan Lianrong opened the door while asking who it was. A big black man rushed in with one stride: "Mom, I'm back!" "Who?" Shan Lianrong was shocked, took a step back, and squinted his eyes to look at the person who came: he was wearing a black ripped cotton jacket and ripped cotton trousers, black cotton was exposed in several places, all the buttons were missing, and the fronts of the clothes were tucked together , tied with a thick hemp rope, wearing a pair of tattered Ulla shoes, messy hair like a pile of gray rotten ropes dirty tangled together, drooping in front of the forehead, unshaven beard, dark and rough face already Can't see the original skin color at all.

Li Xuehai said with a crying voice: "Mother, I don't recognize my son anymore. I am Xuehai, mother!" "Xuehai! Is it you? I thought you would never come back in this life." Shan Lianrong hugged his son and burst into tears. Although Li Xuehai came back, he dared not come out to meet people. On the one hand, the team would discriminate against him as a fugitive and would not give him food; He is afraid of being ridiculed by the villagers for being so miserable for a penny. During the day, Li Xuehai lay down in the food storage, and went home to sleep at night. After more than ten days, he finally couldn't hold back anymore, and said to his mother: "Mom, I'd better go, it's okay to squat at home all the time, it's like being a thief, I want to go to Yangkou to find a job."

"What can we do at the sheep's mouth?" "Sheep's mouth job is easy to find. You can catch the sea, cut reeds, and carry goods at the pier. Anyway, it's better than staying at home." Shan Lianrong was silent for a while: "Well, it's not an option to go on like this. People move to live, trees move to die, it's better to go out and rush." Mother began to rummage through boxes and chests looking for things. "Mom, what are you looking for?" "Let me see if there is anything valuable, and I will exchange some money for you." Shan Lianrong was finally not found. At this time, the sound of a salesman shaking a rattle suddenly came from outside. Shan Lianrong climbed onto the top of the kang, pulled a handful of rags and cotton ends from the dustpan, and ran out the door in a hurry. When the shopkeeper saw Shan Lianrong, he asked, "Sister-in-law, what would you like to change?" Shan Lianrong hesitated: "Nothing, big brother, can you give me a dime?" The salesman smiled: "It's the first time I've encountered it, and it's not worth a few cents." Shan Lianrong felt sore: "The child is going out to find a way out, but the family has no money." The shopkeeper sighed and gave him two cents. Shan Lianrong came back with a smile on his face. "Bring it, child." Shan Lianrong said and stuffed the money into Li Xuehai's padded jacket. "Mom, I don't want it. I have strength, and I can earn money when I go out. Keep the money at home and use it." Li Xuehai took it out as he said that. Shan Lianrong held down Li Xuehai's hand, but he still insisted on taking it out. "Son, mother knows you are sensible. A poor family has a rich life, and when you travel far away, how can you do without money on you? Be obedient and bring it!" Li Xuehai "plopped" and knelt down to his mother: "Mother, take care of your father and you, and wait for your son to become a good person, and then do your best to be a filial piety." Early the next morning, Li Xuehai was about to leave. He turned around and saw his mother standing at the entrance of the village staring at him motionlessly, and his nose felt sore. Li Xuehai came to Yangkou after a while. He found his old neighbor Wu Qunyi, hoping to stay with him for a while.Wu Qunyi sympathized with the child's difficulty, so he happily gave him the small east house where he cooks. Haven't found a job yet.Li Xuehai went to the beach to fish at dawn, and sold them in the market for food. Two months later, Li Xuehai had a little savings, so he rented a small earthen house through the director of the Yangkou Fishery Cooperative for 35 yuan, which was regarded as having his own nest. There was no kang in the small earthen house, so Li Xuehai went to the beach to pull some damp grass, carried it back, dried it and spread it in the corner of the wall as a bed.I spent 15 yuan to buy a small pot and 2 half-head bricks as a stove. These are all Li Xuehai's belongings. Li Xuehai's meal was even more difficult. He can only eat one kind of homemade "three-color soup" every day.The so-called "three colors", that is, the batter is white, with a little yellow oil flower floating, and a layer of black grass ash.He scooped a spoonful of noodles into the pot and made a paste, put salt and a little oil, because he was reluctant to buy even a pot lid, and when the grass was burned, the grass ash floated everywhere and fell on the black layer of the pot However, Li Xuehai was reluctant to throw it away, because he was afraid of throwing off the only little oil, and the grass ash would creak in his mouth, and his mouth would turn black after eating. A year passed like this.A year later, Yangkou established a moving company. Li Xuehai was introduced to work in the moving company and became a stevedore. Every morning, Li Xuehai started the difficult work of carrying, carrying 183 catties of salt bags, his body wobbled and couldn't find his balance, and thick calluses gradually appeared on his immature shoulders, but he never felt tired. On the contrary, it feels quite fulfilling. At least living in a collective, I am no longer so lonely mentally, and I still have a fixed monthly income.Li Xuehai traded his hard work for temporary food and clothing. However, the good times did not last long. One day, he was carrying a bag of salt as usual. He had just walked a few steps when he tripped and accidentally stepped on a depression. Because he was carrying a heavy load, his body could easily lose weight, so he and the load fell to the ground , when the salt bag was pressed against him, he felt a sharp pain in his ankle, and he couldn't move. I went to the hospital to take an X-ray, and it showed that from the ankle to the top, the leg bone was sprained 95 cm. There was only a handful of money in his pocket, which was barely enough for food, and there was no money for medical treatment. Li Xuehai was silently sent home. At that time, apart from dragging his injured leg, Li Xuehai prostrated himself on the ground to make two meals of batter for himself, and spent the rest of his time lying in the haystack in the corner of the wall, watching the sunrise and sunset, and the morning sun turning into the setting sun, quietly recovering from his wounds. In this way, without any treatment, Li Xuehai fought against the injury with tenacious willpower. In the end, the illness couldn't get over him, and he quietly retired.A few months later, his foot injury miraculously healed. Li Xuehai can go down to the ground like a healthy person, but he has left irreversible sequelae. The injured ankle is much thicker than before, and the fracture and swelling did not heal well after all. This will cause future rheumatoid arthritis The root of the disease has fallen. Some people say that hardships are the best whetstone for tempering one's personality. We believe that Li Xuehai's tenacity, selflessness and fearlessness in the future are not accidental, but the inevitable result of hardships and hardships. In 1979, the God of Destiny extended a friendly hand to Li Xuehai's family. A warm spring breeze blows to this rough family. In the winter of this year, Li Xuehai's father implemented the policy, was rehabilitated and returned to Shouguang, where he was reassigned to work. The two younger brothers are still in school, and the burden of life falls on Li Xuehai, the eldest. In order to supplement the family, Li Xuehai goes to work during the day, and at night, he rowed a boat to the beach to catch crabs and fish, so as to supplement the family and maintain his life. During the Spring Festival of 1980, 26-year-old Li Xuehai went on a blind date. The introducer is a staff officer of Shouguang Armed Forces, and the girl is the niece of this staff officer. As soon as they met, the girl's mother took a fancy to this dark and burly young man.She also said jokingly at the time: "This kid is tall and thick, and looks quite old, but he is kind and willing to work, and he seems to be able to earn a living." In September of that year, Li Xuehai and the girl tied the knot with the blessings of their relatives. After getting married, Li Xuehai returned to Yangkou with his wife.Soon, he found a job running business in Yangkou Commercial Company. Speaking of his wife Liu Shuying, Li Xuehai said with emotion: "When I got married, I was so poor that I couldn't even eat a piece of pickled vegetables. When I arrived in Yangkou, I had nowhere to live. I rented a small broken house. The house was empty and I had nothing. My daughter-in-law Whoever suffered this, she cried when she saw it. But she was still willing to follow me. At that time, I thought, I must work hard, so that my wife and I can live a good life in the future." On July 7, 1981, the State Council promulgated "Several Policy Regulations Concerning Urban Non-agricultural Individual Economy", encouraging unemployed young people to engage in self-employment, and chartering some service industries and businesses to individuals in a planned way, so that urban individual industries and commerce can develop legally. The people around him have already set a precedent to start an individual, and Li Xuehai is also eager to try, and he has the idea of starting his own business, but he feels that the time is not yet ripe. In 1984, Li Xuehai met a friend named Zhang Chunjiang who worked in an industrial and commercial office. He had a thorough understanding of national policies. On June 20, with the encouragement and help of Zhang Chunjiang, Li Xuehai borrowed 30,000 yuan from the bank and established the "Shouguang City Yangkou Town Liangou Distribution Company". After the establishment of the company, it mainly engages in the wholesale of non-staple food, tobacco, wine and candy.Li Xuehai has accumulated a large number of customers due to his business operations in the past few years, so he has no worries about purchasing channels. Within a few months, the company saw benefits and made the first pot of gold. At that time, "10,000-yuan household" was another name for rich people. In 1988, Li Xuehai earned nearly 800,000 yuan and became a veritable rich man. In 1990, Anqiu's hometown heard that Li Xuehai had made a fortune, and specially sent someone to find him. Anqiu No. 2 Food Factory closed down, hoping that he could go back to contract.Li Xuehai inspected it, and immediately agreed. Li Xuehai was full of confidence and tried his best to do something big. After becoming the factory manager, he realized that he underestimated the difficulty of running this food factory well. This food factory occupies a large area, but all the production equipment is damaged, and there are more than 200 employees waiting to eat, which is very stressful. As soon as he took over, Li Xuehai spent nearly a year repairing the equipment, planning to process canned fruit. Unfortunately, that year, there was a bumper fruit harvest in the south, and a large number of oranges from Guangdong poured into Weifang. Fresh fruit was surprisingly cheap. Who would want to buy canned fruit. Reality and dreams always have discrepancies. Li Xuehai's dream was shattered. In the spring of 1992, there was a large backlog of canned food produced in the factory, and the company was completely in trouble. Soon, the company became insolvent and the food factory declared bankruptcy. In just two years, Li Xuehai not only lost all the money he invested, but also incurred foreign debts worth millions of yuan. He also changed from a "rich man" to a "creditor". All assets were used to pay off debts. Looking at the empty food factory compound, Li Xuehai wanted to cry but had no tears. Winter's footsteps hadn't gone far, Li Xuehai felt a chill down his back and shivered. It's really "unlucky, ill-fated"! He sat down slowly. What should we do?It has been eight years since I resigned, what have I done in the past eight years?I worked hard from dawn to dusk, and now I am back to the starting point, not only penniless, but also a big debtor. How can I explain to my family and myself?Just throw in the towel? At this time, Li Xuehai seemed to see the expectant eyes of his wife and children, and the hunchbacks of his elderly parents. He felt the heavy responsibility on his shoulders. I am a person who came from the big wind and waves, I have never suffered any crimes, I have never suffered any hardships, and now I only lose a little money, and I can be devastated, it is impossible!I am still young, less than 40 years old, and there are still opportunities. Li Xuehai was thinking over and over again. He sat in the yard until the sun went down, and finally settled down to an idea: to regain confidence and return to Yangkou to develop, where he made his fortune. The sky will send a great mission to the people, and they must first suffer from their ambitions, and then benefit from what they cannot do. Opportunities once again favor those who are prepared. When the Yangkou Party Committee heard that Li Xuehai was back, they came to the door to look for him. It turned out that in the past few years, the reed fields stretching for 40 li along the Xiaoqing River have become a heart problem for the government of Yangkou Township. The town government invests nearly 300,000 yuan every year and assigns thirty or forty people to manage it.In the past, the town government divided the reeds into pieces and distributed them to the enterprises every year, so that the enterprises could harvest them.Beginning in the autumn of 1992, the enterprises in the town refused to accept anything. Seeing that it was the harvest season, the town leaders were in a hurry. The town leaders hope that Li Xuehai can take over the reeds on both sides of the Xiaoqing River, and the conditions are very generous. He only needs to pay 7,000 yuan in resource taxes every year, and no other fees will be charged. Li Xuehai felt that this was a rare and good opportunity, and it could even be said to be a no-cost business, so he decided to do it. In the winter of 1992, when the harvest season came, Li Xuehai went to Qingzhou, Anqiu and other places ahead of time to recruit hundreds of workers to harvest, and decided to do a big job. However, the most beautiful things are often the most difficult. These farmer brothers are good at harvesting wheat, but they have never cut reeds. Reeds grow in water. They are afraid of water and mud. In addition, the river is freezing cold in winter. They are unwilling to go into the water to harvest anyway. , collectively resigned from work and returned home. This made Li Xuehai miserable, watching the reeds rot in the ground. After a heavy snowfall, a thick layer of ice formed on the river, and Li Xuehai's entrepreneurial dream was shattered again. Li Xuehai, who already owed a lot of debts, made things worse this time and lost another 30,000 yuan. Li Xuehai didn't want to admit defeat easily. He felt that the failure to manage the business was entirely due to his lack of effort and experience. He gritted his teeth and decided to make a comeback next year. Obstacles and failures are the most reliable stepping stones to success. If you are willing to study and use them, you will be able to cultivate success from failures. As soon as the spring of 1993, Li Xuehai started to investigate the market, he wanted to find out where the people were good at harvesting and where the market was. Xiaoqing River is an artificial canal in Shandong Province. It is named for its clear water quality. The water surface is 160 meters wide and the water depth is 4-6 meters.Li Xuehai borrowed a small boat and sailed on the Xiaoqing River every day. He first found out the habits of the reeds: the harvest time should wait until the frost begins. The reed leaves are dry, the stems are dehydrated and hard, and the reed tassels are harvested when they turn white.Harvested too early, the reed stalks have a high water content, are easy to break during transportation, and are prone to mold and deterioration after stacking; harvested too late, it is prone to fire and cause losses... One day, Li Xuehai was floating on the river, when a song suddenly came to his ears, the singing was melodious and pleasant: "Xiaoqing River is long and long, Shandong is a good place, Yantai has apples, Laiyang pears, Zhangqiu green onions and fat city peaches. Xiaoqing River is long and long, Shandong is a good place. It's a good place, corn and wheat, and cotton and sorghum..." It's March in Yangchun, and the reeds on both sides of the river have begun to sprout. There are geese and ducks playing in Hanoi from time to time. The sun shines on the river, sparkling, and the scenery is beautiful and pleasant. So beautiful!Li Xuehai was intoxicated by the picturesque beauty. He loves the land that raised him and the beautiful Xiaoqing River. Li Xuehai thought, this year I must start this business so as not to disappoint so many people who care about me. He inspected many places, and finally found out that the reed mats in Guangrao County are famous far and wide. The reed mats there have a history of more than 600 years. Export, famous at home and abroad. There are several townships in Guangrao County, and almost every household makes a living by weaving reed mats. Guangrao is also rich in reeds, but because of the high demand for reed mats, large quantities of raw materials must be purchased from other places every year.Li Xuehai thought of a good way to get the best of both worlds, and immediately set off to Guangrao to negotiate with the local reed-mat farmers on cooperative harvesting. Everything is as one wishes. He quickly reached an agreement with the local farmers: Li Xuehai would hire the boat, and the farmers in Guangrao would be in charge of harvesting.Because there was no money to pay wages, reeds were used to cover labor costs. According to the labor volume of the workers, they were divided 50-50, half of which was handed over, and the other half was shipped home to weave reed mats. Everyone took what they needed, and everyone was happy. Back then, Li Xuehai organized more than 3,000 people from Xiliuqiao Township and Damatou Township to harvest reeds. These farmers are really good at reed hitting. The huge sea of reeds, more than 3 meters high and 40 miles away, soon disappeared without a trace. The reeds they cut were low and fast, and the bundled reed handles were strong and never fell apart. After the harvest was over, Li Xuehai made a total of more than 200,000 yuan in profit that year after excluding various expenses. Unexpectedly, this profit made Li Xuehai, who was in his forties, obtain the golden key to success in his career. As the saying goes, lessons are learned from failure, and experience is gained from success.Li Xuehai manages Lu Wei more and more easily.A few years later, all foreign debts were repaid. Li Xuehai's profits are increasing every year, and the resource tax he pays to the country is also increasing substantially year by year. There is such a set of figures: 7,000 yuan was handed over in 1992, 35,000 yuan was handed over in 1993, 80,000 yuan was handed over in 1994, 120,000 yuan was handed over in 1995, 180,000 yuan was handed over in 1996, and 280,000 yuan was handed over in 1997. 300,000 yuan was handed over in 1998, and 400,000 yuan was handed over in 1999. Some people say that Li Xuehai is stupid. The contract is to pay 7,000 yuan a year, so why should you pay more? The town didn't forgive you when you lost money! However, Li Xuehai said that when I was in the most difficult time, the town government extended a helping hand and provided me with the opportunity to start a business. Now that I have earned money, it is reasonable to use it for the development of Yangkou. To be a human being, one must have a conscience, and one must drink water and think of the source. In January 2000, the township government formally invited external bids for the 40 Huali reeds and the large area of tidal flats along the coast. Back then, after bidding, Li Xuehai not only contracted a small piece of reed, but also boldly contracted 68,000 mu of coastal tidal flats, including 10,000 mu of prawn farms, 5,000 mu of crab farms, 20,000 mu of clamworm and bait farms, and the rest Farmed as shellfish. In the autumn of 2001, Li Xuehai established "Shouguang Beihai Breeding Co., Ltd." Afterwards, the company was like a fish in water, like a tiger with wings added, and finally developed into "Shandong Yihai Group", and derived "Yihai Beach Development and Breeding Company", "Yihai Group Salt Chemical Company", and "Yihai Engineering Company". After years of hard work, Li Xuehai's industry has expanded rapidly, with an annual output value of more than 100 million yuan. Li Xuehai is a successful person, everyone thinks so. Li Xuehai disagreed. He said that whether a person is successful does not depend on how much money he earns. The value of life lies not only in creation, but in dedication. He believes that over the past ten years, he has saved 146 lives and helped countless people in difficulties. This is what makes him feel most gratified and most valuable. Dale Carnegie once said that successful people all have awe-inspiring spirit, they are all bold and brave. There is no word "fear" in their dictionary. They are confident that their ability can do a good job, and they think they are very valuable people. This is the most appropriate portrayal of Li Xuehai's life. Bravery and self-confidence make Li Xuehai a truly successful person in the end. In February 1997, the Thirteenth Bureau of the Ministry of Water and Electricity of China received the task of carrying out the reconstruction project of Xiaoqing River in Shouguang. The headquarters recruited a group of migrant workers from Yanggu County, Shandong. At that time, the Shouguang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government clearly stipulated that in order to protect the lives of workers, it was forbidden to build work sheds on the beach. In order to save costs, some people illegally built work sheds on the beach on the north bank of the Xiaoqing River as workers' dormitories. On March 17, the wind was strong, and the first rain since the beginning of spring fell in the sky. Based on the experience of an old fisherman, Li Xuehai saw some signs before the storm, so he decided to mobilize three boats to transfer the migrant workers from the north bank of Xiaoqing River to the south bank. After repeated persuasion, it was of no avail, and no one was willing to leave. Li Xuehai was afraid of accidents, so he didn't dare to go home that night. He lived on the boat with his companion Wang Jingwu and kept an eye on the storm. After 2 o'clock in the morning, the thing that worried Li Xuehai the most happened. In the haze, he suddenly heard someone calling for help, and the cry was filled with tears, and was lifted into the night sky by the strong wind. The cries became louder and louder, and more and more people shouted.Li Xuehai stuck his head out of the cabin, took a flashlight to take a picture, and vaguely saw the migrant workers standing in the waist-deep tide, huddled together, desperately calling for help. Li Xuehai made a phone call to report to the Yangkou Town Government and Xiaoqinghe Headquarters, and quickly prepared a rescue plan. The leader of the city government said on the phone: "We must do everything possible to rescue the trapped people!" The situation is critical, and at this time the wind force is at least seven or eight. The sea was pitch black, and you couldn't see your fingers. The strong wind mixed with bean-sized raindrops smashed into the sea. The tide was roiling and raging, and it was about to swallow dozens of lives. And those trapped workers can't swim, and can't do anything except cry. Without further ado, Li Xuehai quickly started the 20-horsepower external engine on the boat. Due to the strong wind, the hand-cranked engine reversed, and the handle of the crank hit the back of his hand. Gritting his teeth and exerting all his strength, the machine started! Li Xuehai and his companions put the bow of the boat against the river bank to prevent the strong shaking of the hull. While waving his flashlight, he shouted towards the shore, directing them to board the boat and evacuate. But none of the migrant workers on the shore dared to act, because they knew that although the six deep pits dug during the day were gone, they were nearby, and if they fell, they would definitely die. Encouraged by Li Xuehai, finally, a more courageous migrant worker picked up a quilt and tried to walk towards the boat.Suddenly he stepped on the ground and fell into the big pit. The tide came to his mouth. He drank a few sips of water and burst into tears. Luckily, he grabbed a big oil barrel next to him and rowed desperately to the bottom. side of the boat. Seeing this scene, the migrant workers on the bank were all frightened, no matter how much they persuaded them, no one dared to take another step. Li Xuehai shouted at the top of his voice: "The tide has just begun, we have to buy time, and if we drag on, the tide will rise and we will be unable to get out. Hurry up!" Even though Li Xuehai shouted loudly, the migrant workers remained indifferent. Li Xuehai took off his thick cotton coat, regardless of his severe rheumatoid arthritis, jumped into the piercing water, picked up a pole to test the depth of the water, and slowly approached the migrant workers. Half an hour later, the 12 people closest to him climbed onto the boat smoothly under his leadership. The tide was constantly rising at a rapid speed, and Li Xuehai was in a state of anxiety. If he relied on his own strength, how could he rescue everyone before the tide rose? So he asked the 12 people who were rescued just now to return to the water to save people, but these 12 people, still in shock, finally grabbed the straw, how could they want to go back to the water again? Li Xuehai yelled: "Are you men? Can you see death without saving?!" Let him roar, and everyone came back to their senses.Li Xuehai said loudly: "Buying time can save lives! You have already waded over just now, and you know it well. The water is under water. Fortunately, it will be difficult to handle when the tide rises higher than people. Let's work in groups of two. quick!" He gave each group a bamboo pole as an aid, and asked them to hold hands and go into the water to guide people into the boat. Four hours later, Li Xuehai and the migrant workers fought against the storm surge for life and death. In the end, they won the victory, and all 69 migrant workers were transferred. Except for 11 who escaped by themselves, the remaining 58 were all managed by Li Xuehai. save. At 6:50 the next morning, the tide rose sharply, and the work sheds on the shore had been swallowed up in the tide and disappeared.Li Xuehai counted the number of people, and after confirming that they were all there, he stepped up his horsepower and sailed the boat to Yangkou Port. 58 migrant workers jointly wrote a letter asking their superiors to commend their savior. On March 25, 1997, the headquarters decided to allocate 2,000 yuan to reward the hero Li Xuehai who saved lives. Li Xuehai did not accept it. He said, "I saved people, not for money. The management of Xiaoqing River itself is doing good things for the people. The headquarters has already suffered heavy losses. I cannot accept this money." Li Xuehai donated the money to the Xiaoqing River Treatment Project without hesitation. In the course of Li Xuehai's life, his life seems to have been closely linked with saving lives. On September 30, 1997, Li Xuehai received two pennants, and naturally he thanked him for his brave deeds and sacrificed his life to save others. It turned out that in the evening 10 days ago, Li Xuehai was about to go home after working all day, and was driving on the Xiaoqing River when he suddenly heard someone calling for help.Li Xuehai straightened up, and saw a grass boat in the middle of the river tilting and sinking. The inclination had reached more than 70 degrees, and more than half of the reed grass had sunk into the water. The situation was very dangerous. Based on experience, Li Xuehai judged at a glance that the boat was leaking. He wanted to move his boat closer to the boat and transfer the people in distress first, but because the current was too fast, the boat couldn't get close at all, and the migrant workers dared not get off the boat. At this time, the engine on the grass transport boat was flooded and turned off, and the hull sank at a rapid speed.Seeing that something was wrong, Li Xuehai immediately changed his mind. He slowly approached the wooden boat, increased his horsepower, and drove his own boat against the wooden boat, forcing it to run aground on the north bank before the boat sank.A total of 33 migrant workers and boat workers on board were taken to Li Xuehai's boat one by one. After the people on the boat were rescued, they held Li Xuehai's hand tightly, tears welling up in their eyes, and they said one after another: "Good man, without you, we would have died long ago, and the boat would have sunk long ago!" "How can we thank you?" "Don't thank me, others will do the same if they see it. Hurry up and unload!" The owner of the tank boat was Wang Mingguang from Wangdaoli Village, Dingzhuang Township, Guangrao County. Immediately after landing, he took out 3,000 yuan to express his gratitude. Li Xuehai waved his hand and said, "You're welcome, I've never saved people for money." If it was for money, Li Xuehai would never appear in this thrilling scene below. On October 11, 2003, according to the weather forecast, Weifang City was affected by strong cold air, and the coastal areas experienced heavy rains, accompanied by strong winds. At three o'clock in the afternoon, Li Xuehai participated in the flood control meeting organized by the Yangkou Town Party Committee. When he got home, his wife Liu Shuying had already made his favorite dumplings, waiting for him to cook again when he came back. "I'm going to visit the shrimp pond, let's cook again when I come back!" Li Xuehai said and walked out. Strong cold air is coming, there may be a big tide tonight, Li Xuehai has no appetite to eat.He is going to sea to see if there is any danger.Looking at the shrimp pond is just an excuse. If the truth is told, my wife will definitely object. "Come back after taking a look, don't mind your own business, your legs are not good." Before Liu Shuying finished speaking, Li Xuehai had already gone out and disappeared into the rain. "Come back early, we won't eat, just wait for you!" Liu Shuying chased him out, shouting at him through the heavy rain. His wife understood Li Xuehai's temper. He had something on his mind and couldn't eat at all.The decision he made is very difficult to change, it is better to let him go and have a look, and come back with peace of mind and eat well. What worries his wife most these years is Li Xuehai's "old cold legs". Due to long-term work at sea, he has suffered from severe rheumatoid arthritis. Woke up and stomped.Li Xuehai has the qualities of a typical old fisherman, kind, brave, and righteous. When he sees someone die, he will always risk his life to rescue him. Every time, his leg disease will aggravate. Liu Shuying saw it in her eyes and felt pain in her heart. She was worried that Li Xuehai would hurt his legs if he went into the water again in the cold.So I often nagged him: Why don't you think about your wife and children when you go into the sea to save people? If something happens to you, what will my child and I do? But Li Xuehai has this temper, and he can't change it for the rest of his life. He just doesn't want to see other people have difficulties. Li Xuehai inspected the dam. Although the wind and waves were strong, the precautionary measures were in place, and the tide-proof embankment stood firmly. There has never been a problem for more than ten years. Even so, Li Xuehai was still worried. There is a local proverb: "October 5th meets September 9th, gods dare not walk by the sea." The general idea is that there must be a spring tide on the fifth day of October and the ninth day of September in the lunar calendar.Today is October 11th, the sixteenth day of the ninth lunar month, which happens to be the seventh day after the ninth day of September. Li Xuehai's heart was in turmoil. He was worried that this folk proverb would really come true today, and a terrible storm surge would really come. Li Xuehai dare not take it lightly. At nine o'clock in the evening, the sea water began to rise rapidly. "The tide is rising, the tide is rising! Get up!" The panicked cry of a dike patrol worker pierced the night sky. The shouts woke up the resting shrimp farm and more than 40 workers who were repairing the dam .Panicked people rushed outside, my God, there is a storm surge! They were stunned by the roaring sea water in front of them! The wind is strong and the waves are high, the tide level has risen several meters, and the sea is still rising... The tide has risen to their feet, and they have no way to retreat. The workers suddenly cried and shouted together. Just after zero o'clock, Li Xuehai's phone rang, and something terrible happened! A call came from the tidal flat ahead: "No, there's a high tide! The embankment broke, the shrimp farm was flooded, and more than 40 shrimp farms and dam repair workers were trapped!" Human life is at stake, and danger is an order.Li Xuehai immediately called to report the situation to the leaders of Yangkou Town, and arrived at the scene in the shortest possible time. Li Xuehai knew that a struggle between man and disaster had begun.
