移师大连之后，眼见得问题和矛盾接踵而来，运动队因而波澜四起风雨飘摇……我们正面临着从东方农耕社会家族式管理向西方现代社会契约式管理的嬗变，换句话说，这一切都是封建传统同现代社会的碰撞和较量，在今天急剧变化着的社会生活中，其实我们每一个人都面临着这种较量这种抉择。

我同马俊仁就曲云霞的事又相谈几次，我明确谈到了别墅问题。又往深里走，我们谈到了从家族式管理向契约式管理转化的问题，谈到了如果不彻底改变过去模糊管理、家族管理的指导思想，那就不光是王军霞和曲云霞这一批人的工作难以做好的问题了，今后在一代新人身上还会发展激烈的经济矛盾和不尽的纠纷。要从根本上改变单纯人身依附的恩恩相报状况，要善于发挥经济杠杆的作用，向体育法度化变革，向俱乐部制过渡，从制度上解决运动员成才以后的管理难题。国际上有先进的范例，国内有足球界的开拓先行，值得马家军很好地借鉴。否则，你马俊仁就是有一万张嘴，每天说几车皮的话，也拢不住运动员的心，拴不住运动员的腿，鼓不起运动员的劲儿。我建议老马邀请这方面的专家学者，为马家军研究制定有针对性的短期和长期的法规，入队时签署教学双方的合同协议，甚至可以考虑有人作保，完成任务奖励要兑现。再如参赛资格怎么办，转会怎么办，违约怎么办，退役怎么办，立大功怎么办，犯了错误怎么办，提升怎样进行等一切，都要根据国情制定严格的规定，没有规矩不成方圆。在这个基础上再辅之以深入细致的思想政治工作，事业才能有保证，基地才能往长远发展。我对老马说，你不要光爱听好听话，人家表彰你说向你学习，江泽民、李铁映都表扬过你，伍绍祖还谈过五学马家军，说一马当先要引来万马奔腾，袁伟民、刘吉也说过要学习你的严格管理，这是人家给你荣誉，并不是说你就无须改革到了顶峰。依我看人家提出向你学习，其核心正是要学你敢于解放思想，敢于创新，不被传统的旧东西禁锢，所以你自己不要闹误会反而把自己的手脚给绑死了，不敢动了！咱自家不改革就不会有新出路了，只有等着人家超过咱。我看办好基地首先是家族式管理必须变，要用人才，不要靠上阵父子兵这一套，要靠科学管理，人才遍地都是，看你怎么用。父子兵这一套事实证明不适合竞技体育。说到底，要改革，要从僵死的计划经济模式向市场经济转化，彻底转变机制，要结合国情吸收西方体育走向大市场那一套。如果东方化一点儿，也有大可借鉴的真经，过去山西商家票号还有安徽商人都曾非常辉煌，往日的晋商富可敌国，纵横万里，他们就摸索了一整套培养和管理人才的经验，完全是东方式的国粹化的，那些办法也非常宝贵可取，同样严格且相当奏效……总之是一切阻碍我们事业发展的体制和机制都需要改变它，伟大的体育家肯定都是改革派，否则他就不会成为体育事业的推进者。
我们的长谈很有实际意义，老马的态度非常认真。老马是极聪明的，他正在从各方面吸收好的意见来帮助自己记取马家军裂变的沉痛教训，并不像人们推测的那样，说老马犟得什么话也听不进去。谈到高兴处，他会激动地说，老赵哇干脆你来我这儿干吧，我们太需要一个好政委了！我就急忙说担当不起，只是因为看到马家军的现状人人着急，粗浅地提供一点思路。你真需要好政委可以全国招聘，能人有的是。

这天大早，他开车来了。一上楼就叫：老赵呢，起来了没有？王伟啊，快去把你赵老师叫来，我这儿有正经事儿要商量！一听他沙哑而又振奋的声音，我就觉得他一准儿是摸索到从根本上解决曲云霞思想问题的办法了。
一见面我先说话，好像昨晚的谈话仍在继续：老马你有好主意啦！
老马急急相告：昨晚回去到天亮我睡不着，咱们谈的那些话那些个道理在我脑子全翻腾了一宿。曲云霞的事儿咱光靠嘴说真不好使。咱这样，原先我打算奥运会以后奖给她一套别墅，我看用不着等奥运会以后啦，我现在就给她兑现，老曲头想留就留想走就走，她把合同给我签了，咱就啥也不用说啦！

入得室内，见一楼大厅有三十来平方米的样子，老马即建议可把进门过道隔墙打掉，采光又好又扩大了客厅活动范围。在大厅正面一定要建一个荣誉柜，奖杯牌子都放进去，要多排场有多排场。从一楼大厅往里进是餐厅厨房卫生间，都很宽敞方便。一楼二楼三楼均有卫生间，有大阳台和专供养花的地方，格局很合理，足够曲家老小居住。
我心中感叹良多：老曲头后半辈子的理想终于实现了。
曲云霞说可以在三楼向阳那间屋子搞一个健身房。老马说：那还不是由你，你从阳台上看着大海练吧，这空气多新鲜！
离开别墅以前，老马作总结性发言：老曲啊，曲云霞啊！行了，你们现在啥也不缺啦，就缺一块奥运会金牌！
曲母很少说话，这时候却激动地冒出一句：还缺一个好女婿哪！老马快人快语：老婶子看你农民了不是！我看你闺女最不缺的就是这个，干好了奥运会屁股后面排队排老长了！现在你老两口住进这新房来，不用搞装潢先住一回新，赶曲云霞过两年结婚时候再装潢，又住一回新，喜事还在后头哪！老婶子你两回住新房！老曲啊，你们这后半辈子就算是住进高级保险箱了。
语无伦次，皆大欢喜。
中午吃饭时老曲头给我频频上菜，还特地跑到楼外边自己掏钱给我买了一瓶白酒，表示谢意表示高兴。他说这酒跟平时不一样，这是我请你喝的，我们全家谢你，你这一来让我安心了。
我既为老曲家高兴，又怀着深深的忧虑，一时间却说不清楚。这基地的财政也没个监督审计，现在是老马一人说了算，往后算不算呢？中国的事情太复杂了。可是我私下里很严肃地对曲大叔建议说，你们不要拖拖拉拉，简单收拾收拾就赶紧住进去吧！夜长啦，你们得抓紧把生饭往熟里煮……老曲头紧紧拉住我的手，几欲下泪，狠狠地点头。
付款办理买房手续时，老马出于种种考虑，又郑重地和我商议：这房证、发票开成谁的名字好？是不是先开成我马俊仁，将来再改成曲云霞？
我思虑一下，表示还是直接开成曲云霞为好。理由很多，其中一条我说，老马你嫌自个儿麻烦事儿还少吗？内部人真假难辨，社会上人们更闹不清，问你咋又给自己买了一套房呢？过去的一个教训，就是把简单的事情人为地复杂化了。老马颔首称是，思绪万千。我再次建议他到省里去办一个较为正式的东西，或打报告形成批件，或上边针对这事发个短文，这样好。
十几天以后我离开基地，手续已经全部办理完毕。老马让我看了付款支票的回执，看了写有曲云霞名字的发票，老曲头已经把房子的钥匙拿在手里。曲云霞的哥哥姐夫们已经进驻别墅，要搞点儿修墙建灶的基本建设。
曲云霞也已经飞奔在开发区的田径场上。老马的谋略是在奥运之前不打算让曲云霞参加任何赛事，一心训练，到亚特兰大再亮出这个核弹头。
此后我没有机会再见到王有馥老汉，不知他对此作何感想？大约半年以后我见到王军霞，她偶然提起此事，问我知道不知道有这个情况。我说知道的，反问军霞你怎么看。她平静地回答说：我个人没啥意见，曲云霞是真够苦的，再好的别墅她也该得，马导办了这事儿就算做了一件好事。
我跟曲云霞的感情是很深的。马导他想气我其实我不气，我离开马导就没指望他多给我些啥，是我自己要跑
