Chapter 28 6. See Yunsong Nest

In the hottest August, Ding Ling lived in the Summer Palace and wrote vigorously, but what she wrote was not novels, but materials of tens of thousands of words, including appeals, self-criticism, and letters to organizations and leaders.Chen Ming also lived there and helped her write together. In the early days of liberation, there were many vacant houses in the Summer Palace, and the management of the park could not handle it, so some of them were allocated to the cultural department for the rest, writing and recuperation of literati and poets. The Chinese Writers Association is divided into two places, one is Yunsong Nest and the other is Shaowo Hall, both of which are to the west of Foxiang Pavilion, not far from Kunming Lake.Today, both places are separated by walls from the Foxiang Pavilion, and the Yunsong Nest is used as the residence of the park security guards.

Yunsong Nest is a large yard built on the hill, the main entrance is at the foot of the hill, and the house is built on the hillside. There are many rocks, green bamboos and pine trees in the yard.Entering the main entrance, there is a narrow corridor on the left and right sides, along the courtyard wall and up the mountain, leading to the main room. There are five main rooms, facing the lake by the mountains, and the terrain is relatively high. Standing on the porch in front of the house, you can see the sparkling Kunming Lake with a very wide view. The main entrance of Izumo Pine Nest goes all the way to the south, and there is a corridor a few meters away. After passing the corridor, you will arrive at the edge of Kunming Lake. There is also a side door of Yunsong Nest, which is opened on the east wall. When you go out, you will find a winding corridor, which leads to Shaowo Hall through the green border pavilion.Shaowo Temple is much smaller than Yunsongchao, with only three main rooms and no yard. In the summer of 1950, Ma Feng married Duan Shumian, and Ding Ling arranged to live in Shaowo Hall for a week, counting it as a honeymoon. At that time, the newlyweds went through the winding corridors every day to join Mrs. Jiang, Ding Ling's mother in Yunsong's nest, for dinner.

Ding Ling comes to Yunsongchao to live in Yunsongchao almost every summer, reading, writing, resting, drinking tea, chatting and enjoying the scenery with friends, and Yunsongchao has left her with so many good memories! This time, things are different, she no longer has the leisure and elegance to look at the scenery, and very few friends come to visit her.She wandered melancholy in front of the porch, and sighed in the room. She couldn't help feeling emotional when she recalled the past stories of her old friends. At this time, she missed the two people very much. One is her mother.Ding Ling's mother, Mrs. Jiang Mutang, is a strong and forthright person. She pursues the bright and progressive, self-improvement and self-reliance all her life, and works tirelessly. Many of the shining points in Ding Ling's character are derived from the influence and teaching of Mrs. Jiang. It can be said that without Mrs. Jiang, there would be no Ding Ling.Ding Ling lost her father at the age of four and her younger brother at the age of fourteen. Since then, the mother and daughter have depended on each other for life. The mother is not only her life support, but also her spiritual support.Later, she went to Shanghai and went to Peiping, relying on her mother's meager salary and savings, fighting here and there, looking for her own way out, even when she and Hu Yepin lived at the foot of Xiangshan Mountain, their lives were more difficult It is maintained by the twenty yuan sent by my mother every month.Later, Hu Ye was killed frequently, she was imprisoned in Nanjing, and her mother silently shouldered the burden of raising children on her behalf.Whenever she is in adversity, as long as she thinks of her mother, she feels at ease in her heart, and feels warmth and strength. At this time, she encountered hardships again, but where could she find those warm arms and broad mind?Ding Ling couldn't help feeling sad and sad.

Another person she misses is a great man, the leader of the country, Mao Zedong.Ding Ling arrived in northern Shaanxi in October 1936, and met Mao Zedong for the first time in Baoan's cave, and they had a good impression and frequent contacts with each other. In Bao'an and Yan'an, she could freely come and go from Mao Zedong's cave, listen to him talk about history and literature, and talk about mutual acquaintances, such as Li Da, Wang Huiwu, Chen Qiming, Yang Kaihui, Xu Wenxuan, Yi Lirong, etc.Mao Zedong's profound knowledge and high-level insights made her admire and admire him, and Mao Zedong's care and guidance to her made her feel grateful all her life.

She often recalled a past event with a kind of sweetness. At that time, the two people she missed the most both came to the Summer Palace and Yunsong Nest.It was probably the happiest day of her life. It was a Sunday in July 1951, and Ding Ling was staying at Yunsong Nest, writing the article "Looking at it as a Tendency", which criticized Xiao Yemu's novel "Between Us and My Wife".She knew Xiao Yemu very well. When she was writing in Fuping County in June 1947, Xiao Yemu, who was working in "Time Youth" at that time, also helped her copy some manuscripts. In 1951, Xiao Yemu published the novel "Between Our Husband and Wife" in "People's Literature", which attracted a lot of applause, and it was even made into a movie in Shanghai.Ding Ling didn't think much of it after reading it, but felt that Feng Xuefeng's (signed by Li Dingzhong) article published in "Literary News" was a bit too strong, so she wanted to write an article to express her own views.

On September 6, 2002, the author interviewed Xia Gengqi. He recalled the scene back then and said: I stayed in the Summer Palace with Ding Ling and Chen Ming for a few days, and I packed up my things and prepared to go back to the city that day.Suddenly, two security guards in plain clothes came and asked, "Does Comrade Ding Ling live here? A chief wants to see her. Please don't go out."Who is it?have no idea.At that time, the luggage had already been packed, and even the teacups were put away. How can guests drink water when they come?Chen Ming said, come on, go buy a watermelon!I walk away.To buy watermelon, you have to go out of the East Palace Gate and go outside the garden to buy it. The road is not close, and it is several miles away.I hastily walked forward with my head down, and suddenly I ran into a tall man head-on. When I raised my head suddenly, it turned out to be Chairman Mao!He held Li Na with his right hand, just over a meter away from me. Li Na was only about ten years old at that time. It's too late for me to escape.Chairman Mao saw that I was walking in a hurry, so he let go of Li Na's hand, and I passed between their father and daughter. I was very excited at the time, knowing that the guest was Chairman Mao, so I ran , went outside the gate of the East Palace, and bought a big watermelon for more than one yuan. When I ran back, plainclothes guards stood outside Yunsong Nest, preventing me from entering. I said I lived here.I washed the watermelon, cut it and served it, and they talked while eating.Chairman Mao pointed to Luo Ruiqing, and said to Ding Ling: It is no longer like being in Yan'an, I have no freedom, you see, how difficult it is for me to come out once, and I have to get his approval! After a while, someone said that the cruise ship was ready, and Chairman Mao left. They took a big boat and went to the Dragon King Temple in the center of the lake.

Chen Ming said that that day Ding Ling reported to Chairman Mao that she was writing an article commenting on "Between Us and My Wife" and briefly explained the point of view of the article. From this, Chairman Mao talked about the issues of unity, education, and transformation of hundreds of thousands of intellectuals .Chairman Mao stayed in Yunsong Nest for less than half an hour.Mrs. Jiang happened to be there that day, and she could understand Chairman Mao's Hunan dialect.Afterwards, she sighed many times and said: Chairman Mao is such a great leader, he treats people so kindly.

It is still the Summer Palace, it is still the hot summer, it is still the charming scenery of lakes and mountains, and it is still the sound of cicadas. But it is completely two identities, two situations, two moods. At this time, Chairman Mao can save her, as long as he says a word. However, it was also very difficult for Ding Ling to meet Chairman Mao. There were many links and checkpoints in the middle, and she had to go through tedious requests and approvals. It is unknown whether he would like to see her, listen to her complaints, or agree with her views. This is politics, not personal dealings. Both Zhou Yang and Liu Baiyu repeatedly emphasized at the enlarged meeting of the party group: the struggle against Ding Ling at the meeting was carried out under the leadership of the central government, and they were supported by the central government!

Later, in the summer of 1957, Ding Ling once said to Jiang Zulin with emotion: "After the founding of the People's Republic of China, I seldom went to the central leadership comrades I knew well. It was so easy to see before entering the city. Now it seems that it may be better to walk a little bit. However, it is right to solve the problem through the party organization."
