Chapter 29 Series of Investigations 1: Coal Boss Nightlife Survey

"Nightlife" is the "theme" of Shanxi Coal Boss' daily life, and it reflects the coal boss's "life attitude and value orientation" to a certain extent. In this survey, we plan to start with the three index subjects of "business public relations", "entertainment and leisure" and "family relationship" covering the entire life of coal bosses. Let's talk about "business public relations" first: In this survey, more than 90% of the coal bosses answered the question of "night life" as "socializing and entertaining".

After investigation, the main content of these "communication and entertainment" is "feasting, eating and drinking".Only 10% of coal bosses deal with matters in the process of coal operation, such as "research and production", "purchasing equipment", "sales of coal" and so on. When answering the question "What do you get from 'nightlife'?", 50% of people think that through "nightlife" they can make their "career success", and 20% of the coal bosses think that "after a day, the nervousness gets lost." Relax", 20% of people forget that life is not satisfactory, and another 10% think that they get "some kind of stimulation" from it.

When answering "what would your life be like without 'nightlife'?", 60% of the coal owners thought that "it would have a great impact on their career", and 30% of the coal owners thought it would "make their Life loses its flavor”, and another 20% of coal bosses think that it “doesn’t matter” to them. We went on to conduct an in-depth investigation and found that almost 100% of these coal bosses with an "indifferent" attitude are those of the "topless" and "extreme" type of coal bosses who "worked around" in remote mountainous areas (about this type For the analysis of coal bosses, please refer to the section "Analysis of Social Strategies under the Political Economy of Coal" in Chapter 19 "Abnormal Thinking under the Energy Economy" of this book).

The conclusion of this survey also reflects the reality that the "flywheel" of those coal bosses who are becoming stronger and bigger needs to "spin faster" and need "lubricant" such as "nightlife". "Nightlife" is quite the "soft spot".The reason, of course, is because it "has a great impact on my career." When answering the question "What influence do you think 'nightlife' has on your career", 80% of the coal bosses believed that "it is a sign of a person's social communication ability, so it has a great influence".20% think this is "adjustment of life" after intense work.

In the "Family and Family" survey, 95% of the coal bosses eat their "dinner" outside when conducting "business public relations", and only 5% eat at home.In this survey, only a small number of coal bosses (about 5% of the total number) gave a "yes" answer to the question "Do you usually communicate with your family?" "Sometimes at the end of the day, we feel distracted and physically and mentally exhausted, but we still have to go to some necessary entertainment. People are in the rivers and lakes, and we can't help ourselves."

A coal boss explained with emotion, and his words revealed a kind of helplessness that "people are in the rivers and lakes and cannot help themselves". According to the survey, 70% of the coal bosses went out to "entertainment" reluctantly. When answering the question of "relationship with family members", 40% of coal bosses think that they "do not get warmth".The rest thought it was "a matter of face", which implied that it was "getting along". So, what about the coal boss "how does he feel at the end of the day"?60% of the coal owners feel "empty", and 40% of the coal owners feel "depressed" and "irritated".

In short, "nightlife" is the objective "salt" in the business life of this group of coal bosses, and they are inherently related to each other. They love and hate it.
