Hari Seldon stared blankly at Raindrop Four Three. For a while he had no idea what she was talking about, because he forgot he was wearing a human fur hat. Then he put a hand on his head and realized he was wearing the hat.It was smooth on the surface, but he could feel a slight spring from the hair underneath. It wasn't too obvious, since his hair was fine and not very thick. While touching his head, he said, "Why?" "Because I want you to; because if you want to see the books, that's the quid pro quo." He said, "Well, if you want me to do it." He started to fumble with the brim of the hat, ready to peel off the human fur hat.

But she said, "No, let me do it, and I'll help you take it off." She looked at him longingly. Seldon put his hands on his knees: "Then come." The sister got up quickly and sat down on the cot beside him.She slowly and carefully tore off the human fur cap in front of his ears, and licked her lips at the same time. She gasped as she loosened his forehead and lifted the fur cap up.Then the human fur hat was taken off, and Seldon's hair seemed to tremble slightly because of the joy after the restraint was released. He said uneasily, "My hair has been stuffed under the fur hat, which may make my scalp sweat. If so, my hair will be a little damp."

He held up a hand, as if to check. She grabbed his hand and pulled it away. "I'm here to do it," she said, "and that's part of the condition." Her fingers touched his hair slowly and hesitantly, and then quickly retracted. Then she reached out again and stroked very gently. "It did," she said. "It feels...good." "Have you ever touched the hair on your head before?" "Occasionally, but it's all children's. This...is different." She started to touch again. "What's the difference?" Even in this embarrassing situation, Seldon's curiosity still didn't budge.

"I can't tell, it's just... different." After a while, he asked, "Have you touched enough?" "No, don't rush me. Can you make them lie down in any direction you want?" "Not really, they have a natural fit orientation. I need a comb to do it, and I don't have one." "comb?" "A thing with many forks...ah, like a fork...but much more forked, and somewhat softer." "Can I use my fingers?" she said, running her fingers through his hair. “It’s so-so, it’s not very effective,” he said. "The back is harder."

"The hair is shorter there." Raindrop 43 seemed to remember something: "Erows," she said, "Is that what it's called?" She took off the two masking tapes, and stroked her fingers backwards along the slight arc formed by the eyebrows. "It feels good." She finished with a high-pitched laugh that almost matched her sister's. "So cute." Seldon said impatiently: "Does this condition include other parts?" In the rather dim light, Raindrop Four-Three seemed to be considering an affirmative answer, but she said nothing.Instead, she suddenly retracted her hands, and then raised them to the tip of her nose.Seldon wondered what on earth she wanted to smell.

"How strange," she said, "can I...can I do it again another day?" Seldon bit the bullet and replied, "If you lend me the tome for a few more days, so that I have enough time to study it, then maybe it can." Raindrop Four-Three reached into a slit in his jacket that Seldon had never noticed before. From a hidden inner pocket, she took out a book bound with some kind of hard and tough material. Seldon took it, trying to control his excitement. When Seldon adjusted the fur cap to cover his hair again, Raindrop Four-Three raised his hands to the tip of his nose again, then stuck out his tongue, and licked his fingers very lightly and quickly.
