Chapter 23 20. Hell

red erosion 墨熊 19708Words 2018-03-14
Twenty minutes later. The truck bounced and jolted through the jungle, speeding along a dirt road full of potholes. The sky was gloomy and the wind was howling.Compared with "Xuanwu", which can almost uproot big trees, the bizarre small typhoon before is simply a kindergarten game for girls to play house. If it weren't for the dense jungle cover, the broken truck in Lin Feiyu's hand might have been blown into the sea long ago. And the worst problem is that this is only the forward of "Xuanwu", the real berserk giant has not yet appeared, and the situation on Paget Island will only get worse and worse.

In the 20 minutes after coming out of the mine, I didn’t encounter any mercenaries along the way—this made Lin Feiyu even more disturbed. If there were one or two human beings on the side of the road—whether he was a tourist or a terrorist , and no matter whether he is dead or alive, it will make people feel a sense of intimacy, and make people not think about questions such as "am I the last survivor?" It's just that Lin Feiyu's extravagant hope has not come true, at least so far. The dense forests on both sides of the road are full of hostility, and they seem quite repulsed by the intrusion of this strange truck. From time to time, bursts of red light flashed among the dense branches and leaves, as if something was about to come out, but every time it disappeared into the air, without even a shadow.

He couldn't help but think of what Leng Bing once said to himself: "It's always the enemy you didn't see that ended your life." Unlike Lin Feiyu, Aslan was not wearing a mercenary uniform. In order to prevent unnecessary trouble, she curled up in the empty back of the truck, obediently closed her eyes and rested. Wang Qingyi was lying beside her lap, with her head tilted, snoring softly and deeply at times, like a docile kitten—indeed, after experiencing the heart-pounding adventure in the Moria Mine with Lin Feiyu, she should also is tired. As if a little curious, Aslan gently combed the girl's long black hair. Even if she didn't feel it, the satin-like silky hair still made her envious - this reminded Aslan of his "young hair". When" heroic.

In order to cooperate with the CATS armor experiment, she had to wear a tomboy-like flat short hairstyle, which was far less elegant and graceful than in school. As for dressing up, it was more like a story that happened a century ago. Now Aslan is better at what the army taught her: search, stealth, destruction, annihilation... Such military skills, but she is quite unfamiliar with the "professions" that girls should master such as dancing and shopping. She fiddled with the tail on the CATS combat uniform. This thing should be a high-end product integrating several advanced reconnaissance equipment, and it would not be a problem to disassemble it and sell it for tens of thousands of dollars. But now, it was limp in the hand like a rotten noodle, no matter how I manipulated it, it didn't respond.

She wished she had taken the electrical engineering class before she came to Paget Island, but unfortunately she didn't—and in all fairness, with Aslang's science skills, it's not realistic to understand such complicated knowledge. She just turned on the heartbeat sensor at the tip of her tail according to her vague impression of the manual, and lightly poked the red restart button on it with a long nail she found somewhere. Surprisingly, this trick seems to work. The electronic signal fed back from the heartbeat sensor is transmitted along the cable at the tail to the portable computer of the CATS combat uniform, and the three nearest heartbeat readings are projected on the display screen of the helmet in the form of green text.

"89" - most likely Lin Feiyu's heartbeat, this powerful and regular rhythm is a symbol of a healthy man. "63"——should belong to her. Because she used to be a gymnast, Aslan's heartbeat is a little slower than that of ordinary people, which also gives her some advantages when performing intense tasks. And then the last reading: "152" - Aslan shook his head and blinked his eyes, trying to make sure that he read correctly. She was right. Aslan raised his head in doubt, and looked around. There were only three people in the truck, Lin Feiyu, himself, and Wang Qingyi who was sleeping on his lap. From common sense, it is impossible for an ordinary person to have such a high heart rate in sleep—let alone an underage girl.

With a little bit of doubt, Aslan reached out and pressed the girl's neck—but she immediately realized that it was useless, because there was no sense of touch, it was impossible for Aslan to feel Wang Qingyi's pulse, so she Simply pat the girl awake, ready to ask for clarification. "161"——The number in front of him suddenly jumped up, which made Aslang couldn't help staring at it with bated breath. Wang Qingyi slowly opened her eyes, breathing rapidly as if she had just finished a five-kilometer cross-country run, sweating profusely. "What's wrong with you?" Aslan gently stroked the back of the girl's head: "Have a fever? Or have you had a nightmare?"

"I..." The girl's expression was exhausted, and her breath was messy. She didn't know whether she understood the other person's words or was unconscious. She whispered softly in her mother tongue: "I feel a little... tight in the chest." "What? What?" Aslan shook his head with a wry smile, "I don't understand Chinese." Suddenly, the girl covered her mouth and put her palm on the ground, showing a very uncomfortable look, and retched several times in a row.Aslan was a little overwhelmed by this situation, he could only pat the girl on the back lightly:

"Hey! Are you okay?" There seems to be something wrong. "this is……" She stopped - even though she had no sense of touch, she still noticed the abnormality on the girl's back, as if to confirm, she reached out and poked the small bump again. Surprised, Aslan withdrew his hands abruptly, observed carefully for a few seconds, and slowly retracted the claw blade that had just been unsheathed by instinct. She was speechless for a while, and looked at the half-kneeling girl in front of her with a complicated expression. After she was convinced that she couldn't make a choice, she raised her hand and knocked on the rear window of the cab.

Maybe it was because of the strong wind, or maybe it was because Lin Feiyu was concentrating on driving. Lin Feiyu didn't respond to the sound behind him, which somewhat annoyed the upright Aslan. She clenched her fists and smashed the glass window into pieces. . "Fuck!" Lin Feiyu didn't know what happened, and quickly stepped on the brakes, causing the wheels to slip on the muddy road for more than half a meter, and then stopped the truck crookedly. "What are you doing!" Lin Feiyu turned his head away, with an angry expression on his face: "If you want to get off the car, you can just jump!"

"Yu..." Aslan's expression was extremely solemn: "You'd better come and see this." As if hearing some clues from the other party's tone, Lin Feiyu stabilized his mood: "What's the situation? Tell me!" "No." Aslan shook his head firmly: "You must come and see this for yourself." Lin Feiyu sighed—in this perilous jungle, at this critical juncture, I don't know what kind of troubles will come to the door. He observed the environment outside the truck, and it seemed quite safe—a shallow stream about ten meters wide meandered along the direction of the road, and there was no road on the other side, but there was a dilapidated cabin standing in the lush forest , and there is a small canoe upside down beside it, no matter which one of them it is, it seems that it has been used for a long time. Lin Feiyu opened the car door carefully, and entered a world ruled by strong winds—the devil roared and screamed in the air, rolled up a razor-sharp airflow, and then threw it unscrupulously to the ground. , moving with difficulty to the back of the truck. This is nothing - Lin Feiyu knew in his heart that the real "Xuanwu" was ten times more powerful than this, and by then, not to mention driving, even crawling on the ground would become extremely difficult. While complaining about the damn weather, he leaned on the canvas awning of the cargo room and walked slowly to the rear of the car. "Hey! What's going on?" "It's your little girlfriend," Aslan held Wang Qingyi in his arms, and bent over to Lin Feiyu, "She's in trouble..." Just as Lin Feiyu stretched out his arms towards the other party, a strange hiss suddenly tore through the air, and a gray-white smoke column flashed out from above the river, and it plunged into the canvas cover of the truck, entering from the left and exiting from the right—directly hit After crossing over, he immediately disappeared into the depths of the jungle beside Lin Feiyu. Immediately afterwards, a violent explosion engulfed a large jungle with thick smoke and flames, and countless broken pieces of wood hit the right side of the truck, one of which even tore the canvas and penetrated deeply into the cargo compartment , on Aslan's face. The shock wave pushed the truck outward for a full half a meter. If Lin Feiyu hadn't fallen down in time, Lin Feiyu would have been blown into the small river to play in the water. No matter how he cursed himself, this world is still fair to Lin Feiyu—the canvas is too thin, so that the firing pin of the anti-tank missile was not triggered, but passed through directly, otherwise, whether it was him, Aslan, or him Wang Qingyi, who was to be protected, should have been blown to the west at this very moment. There was a sudden sound of gunfire, and the fiery bullets weaved a fine net of death, approaching the truck.Lin Feiyu was prostrate on the ground, his vision was limited, he couldn't see who was shooting at this side at all, he could only judge the approximate direction by hearing - it should be from the opposite side of the river bank. There was no shelter for defense on the river beach. The only shelter Lin Feiyu could find was a huge boulder about one meter high and three or four meters wide in front of him—it might be impractical to use it to resist the direct hit of rockets, but at least Can stop those bullets whistling overhead. Rolling and scrambling, he rushed forward in one quick but awkward movement, then pressed his back against the rock.In order to be able to at least figure out how many troops the enemy had, he leaned his whole body slightly to the right, carefully pressed against the ground, and cast a quick glance out - two bullets almost to the forehead drove him back, except for the opposite bank. Little flashes of light by the cabin, he saw basically nothing. When she turned back, Aslan was already beside her—and Wang Qingyi in her arms. "What's the situation?" She asked with a painful expression while panting heavily, "There are still people ambushing us? Don't they know that there are monsters in the jungle?" "This story tells us a truth," Lin Feiyu said with a wry smile, "Even at the end of the world, human beings will never forget to kill each other." As soon as the words fell, another missile passed overhead. This time, it directly hit the cab of the truck, blasting the poor old car to pieces from the outside to the inside, leaving only a burning chassis. Sparks, debris, fragments, these parts of the truck were jumping and flying around the three of them. Not only Wang Qingyi, but Lin Feiyu could hear even Aslan holding his head and screaming—of course, he himself was pale and his hands and feet were twitching. Soft, as if just walked through the gate of hell, and was frightened back again. Obviously, the enemy is not only well-equipped, but also has a strong fighting spirit. They will never stop unless they put Lin Feiyu and his party to death. "Where's your heartbeat sensor? Where's the high technology?" Lin Feiyu shouted anxiously: "Use it now! Tell me how many people are there on the other side?" Aslan grabbed the tail tip of the CATS combat uniform, lifted it over his head, and placed it on the top wall of the rock: "There are three or four signals," she shook her head after a few seconds: "...No, this thing hasn't been repaired yet, I'm not sure if the reading is accurate." "Tsk, damn high technology..." Lin Feiyu couldn't help but spat. The ear-piercing gunshots accompanied by the sound of the hunting wind tightly wrapped the three people who had huddled together, pressing them firmly in place. This small hiding place of less than five square meters behind the boulder has now become the last barrier to save the lives of the three people. Even if they take a step outside, they will be sieved by the dense firepower on the opposite side. The whistling wind somewhat affected Lin Feiyu's hearing. He closed his eyes and concentrated, trying to "find" some clues from the hail of bullets. "Hear that crackle like tearing cloth?" "A little bit," Aslan turned his head: "What new weapons?" "When the firing rate of bullets exceeds 1,200 rounds per minute, human ears can only hear this kind of sound," Lin Feiyu paused: "There is only one active light machine gun in the world that can achieve this rate of fire—— German-made MG3." "My God..." Aslan repeated the question just now as if he was a little scared: "Is... is it a new type of weapon?" Lin Feiyu glanced at her sideways: "...MG3 is an improved version of MG42. It is the best machine gun in World War II. The Iraqi army also equipped it during the Gulf War. It is a blood feud with you Americans." Aslan looked blank: "This is really the first time I've heard of it." "Big sister, you are a member of AFSOC's special operations team," Lin Feiyu said with a wry smile, "Please be more professional." "I'm sorry to disappoint you. I'm a 19-year-old girl with normal hobbies." Aslan frowned. "War history, unit number, weapon performance, military theory and so on are the most annoying." During the ten or so seconds of the conversation between the two, the gunfire from the opposite side never rang out again, only the whistling wind was still roaring in the ears.In mid-air, the chaotic air flow was up and down, engulfed in dust and branches and leaves, like a group of evil spirits who came from all directions to watch a joke, dancing in the sky above the battlefield deep in the jungle. Lin Feiyu poked his head out quickly, and then retracted it without stopping for half a second—even such a small tentative movement, it still attracted a series of bursts, one of which hit the rock, bounced, and pierced his body. In the gravel at your feet. "Fuck..." He wiped the cold sweat from his brow, "The marksmanship is fine." Obviously, the enemy is by no means idle, not only excellent in combat skills but also rich in experience. They first destroyed the means of transportation, and then blocked the target's range of activities with machine guns. Now—if Lin Feiyu's guess is correct, they have probably already started planning how to outflank them. If they don't figure out a way to escape as soon as possible, they will be captured alive It's just a matter of time. "Are you armed?" Lin Feiyu turned his head and asked Aslan, "Guns, grenades, whatever." Aslan popped out the blade claw in his hand with a "swish": "Does this count?" Seeing his own reflection printed on the shiny blade, Lin Feiyu couldn't help laughing wryly: "Your rags are not as useful as a mirror..." He paused, and suddenly, as if suddenly enlightened, he slapped hard Patted Wang Qingyi's forearm: "Have you brought a makeup box? Lend me the mirror." It was only then that he realized that Wang Qingyi's complexion was so gloomy - he was so angry, his eyes were slack, and he was slow to respond to Lin Feiyu's words. "I didn't bring a makeup case..." The moment Lin Feiyu showed a disappointed expression, the girl took out a pink flip phone from her pocket and handed it to him: "But for the mirror, there is." Seeing the camera on the back of the Motorola MS06, Lin Feiyu couldn't help but be overjoyed: "Oh, good girl, you've helped me a lot." He took the phone, opened the flip, and caught a glimpse of the upper left corner of the phone screen—— The above shows an extremely unstable weak signal, hovering between "one grid" and "none". Obviously, Aslan failed to completely destroy the electronic interference of the mercenaries. At this time, a little signal from time to time is not enough Get Lin Feiyu out of danger—besides, even if you get in touch with the headquarters of the National Security Bureau, what's the use now?Do you expect them to send fighter jets from Beijing and fly 12,000 kilometers to Paget Island to help? Lin Feiyu turned on the camera, pressed the phone close to the ground, and slowly moved out of the edge of the stone. The enemy seemed not to notice this small change and did not fire a single shot.He widened his eyes, stared closely at the screen on the flip cover, and moved the angle carefully. After a few seconds, he finally figured out the deployment of troops on the other side. "There is a machine gun under the window of the wooden house. Hmph, it really is an MG3..." He observed and murmured in a low voice: "...two lying on the edge of the shallows...there is another one in the bush...no, it is The weapons used by the two... are both AN94, it seems that they are the elite troops of the other party, and they may have been specially placed here to block the line of communication." "Only five people?" Aslan hurriedly said, "I think I can handle them." "Hush! Don't worry!" Lin Feiyu didn't seem to be "enjoyed" yet, "I haven't found the bitch who threw the missile yet... Wait, what is that..." He lowered his head and stared carefully at the screen of his mobile phone—behind the upturned boat next to the wooden house, there seemed to be a figure hiding.Slightly changing the angle of the camera, Lin Feiyu saw that the man was carrying an individual missile launcher - and was aiming this way with his waist down. After a moment of panic, Lin Feiyu put away his phone, pointed at the ground hysterically and shouted: "Quick! Get down! Get off the rocks!" Aslan immediately understood, and leapt to the ground, but Wang Qingyi didn't react so quickly, she leaned against the boulder with a dazed expression on her face, Lin Feiyu had to hold her shoulders, and pressed her tightly under her body. At this moment, the missile fired from the opposite bank directly hit the rock behind Lin Feiyu, and with the ear-piercing roar, a black-red smoke column rose into the sky, and was blown away by the hunting wind. The three of them avoided the direct impact of the shock wave and the crushed stones, but the loud noise and shock generated by the close-range explosion were still transmitted through the ground into the body. Well, if that missile was more powerful, maybe the three of them would have been shaken to pieces, unable to stand up anymore. The tinnitus slowly dissipated, and his consciousness gradually became clear. Lin Feiyu opened his eyes, shook his head, and tried to brush away all the double shadows in his vision and the gravel debris on his body.He moved his fingers and scratched for a while on the pebble-covered shoal. Since his arms couldn't exert any strength at all, the simple little movement of getting up seemed so difficult at this moment. "Get up!" He gritted his teeth, secretly encouraging himself: "Get up quickly! Lin Feiyu!" He knew very well that the mercenaries on the other side would never show mercy at this time—maybe they had already crossed the river! He must stand up!And it has to be fast! Finally, Lin Feiyu raised his right hand. After several attempts, he barely supported the ground and slowly raised his upper body. The hazy gunshots pierced through the wind wall, looming behind him, which made Lin Feiyu a little puzzled - there was no need to shoot from cover at all to take down the three unarmed people who had been stunned? Listen carefully, the gunshots are long and short, patchwork, obviously in the rhythm of the battle - and there is a tendency to become more intense. Who is shooting?Who are you shooting at again? Two questions flashed through his mind, and Lin Feiyu decided to try to get out of trouble before thinking about them. After all, no matter what happened on the other side, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. If you don't want to escape now, I'm afraid there won't be a second chance. Lin Feiyu slowly curled up his legs, half-kneeled on the ground, and after coughing dryly twice, he shook Wang Qingyi who was under him—the girl tilted her head and remained motionless, as if she hadn't even breathed. "Hey! Wake up!" Lin Feiyu gently turned her over and held her in his arms: "Qingyi! Wake up!" Wang Qingyi reacted immediately, she tightened her eyelids, let out a weak humming sound, her body twisted back and forth a few times as if she was struggling. "Don't move around!" Lin Feiyu was worried about the girl's internal injuries, so he quickly grabbed her shoulders, "I'll help you get up." He was taken aback suddenly, feeling as if his fingertips had touched something strange. Although it was through his clothes, the hard texture and angular shape of the thing still shocked Lin Feiyu. Ignoring etiquette and having no time to say hello, he unbuttoned Wang Qingyi's clothes and let them fall to his shoulders—countless red particles came into view, densely covering the girl's fair back. Although these crystals of various shapes were not big, they were already It was so shocking that Lin Feiyu forgot the battle behind him for a moment. "Aslan..." He wiped the sweat from his forehead with his trembling right hand, "Aslan! Where are you!" "what!" Lin Feiyu turned his head away and saw Aslang with messy hair leaning halfway on the ground, less than two meters away from him. "What's going on here?" He pointed at Wang Qingyi's back: "When did you get infected?" "I was going to tell you about this just now..." With a soft sigh, Aslan said with a wry smile, "...then I was bombed out of the car with you by the missile." According to previous experience, if he directly touches the red crystal, he will also be eroded. Lin Feiyu looked at the girl in his arms, completely at a loss—whether he left her alone or let the crystal spread, the ending It's all unimaginable. "Aslan! Come and help me!" Lin Feiyu almost yelled anxiously, "We must take her out of here immediately!" After waiting for a few seconds and no one came, Lin Feiyu suddenly got a little angry: "Aslan, what the hell are you..." He turned his head and saw Aslan who was still sitting paralyzed, and suddenly understood: "You...are you injured?" Aslan blushed, and held back for a long time before uttering two words: "...the computer is dead." "What?" Lin Feiyu frowned slightly, "What's dead?" "Frozen! The portable digital combat system on the CATS has been shocked!" Aslan raised his gaze with difficulty, and squinted at Lin Feiyu: "You must understand, right, that the screen turns blue and jumps out several rows The situation of Bai Zier..." Lin Feiyu gently put down Wang Qingyi, and walked up to Aslan: "What? You can't move anymore?" "It is an independent system that is responsible for connecting the motor nerves, but it is also locked together by the way." Aslan's one-handed, half-reclining posture reminded Lin Feiyu of a certain Renaissance statue—this thought made him a little dumbfounded. "You really have a problem with timing." "I said long ago not to install Microsoft's system..." Aslan panted softly, as if he was adjusting his breathing, "Look, it really fell off the chain at a critical moment..." "Then what do we do now? Is it okay to leave you alone?" "Go away, I can't help anyway." Aslan gritted his teeth: "Until the system restarts, I can only maintain this posture." Lin Feiyu sighed softly, and he glanced at the other side of the river—there was still loud gunshots: "How long did it take for your broken system to finish rebooting?" "It depends on whether Grandpa Bill Gates shows his power. The fastest record is 34 seconds, usually five minutes, the longest..." "Longest sentence?" "Seven and a half hours." "Oh! That's great!" Lin Feiyu snapped his fingers: "Let's change the subject," he pointed at Wang Qingyi behind him: "What's the matter with this girl's back?" "What can I say?" Aslan said helplessly, "I didn't do it anyway." On the way out of the Moria Mine, the three of them stayed in the car and had no chance of touching the red crystal, so the erosion could only happen in the mine—in other words, it happened under Lin Feiyu’s nose. It was precisely because he failed to protect Wang Qingyi well. No wonder others. Lin Feiyu swept his eyes back and forth between Aslan and Wang Qingyi, and a sense of hopelessness and powerlessness welled up in his heart—this was such a tragic scene that it couldn't be more tragic. Crackling gunshots were heard everywhere, and the two girls fell beside them, moaning and chirping, unable to move, but he could only stand there stunned like a fool. The only good thing is that so far, the mercenaries on the other side of the river haven't rushed over, or even shot in this direction - this also made him a little puzzled. "I'll go and see the situation over there, and I'll be right back." Lin Feiyu turned around, walked a few steps towards the river bank with a cat on his back, squatted down next to the half boulder left, then covered the ends of his hair, and observed carefully. The mercenaries ambushing on the shore had disappeared. Under the oppressive haze, the dense jungle formed a dark green barrier, which blocked Lin Feiyu's curiosity, and only revealed some flashes of gunshots and the caress of branches and leaves—— It was like a mirage glimpsed at a glance, making it impossible to guess what happened inside. A few seconds passed, and after a long, seemingly human cry, the answer to the mystery was suddenly revealed. Misty and erratic red light like mist flickers and wanders in the jungle, and a hideous, deformed and twisted foreign body hastily exposed its head. Although it only appeared for a moment, it disappeared into the greenery, but it is still in harmony with the surrounding environment. A huge visual gap is formed, which is so eye-catching and dazzling. Lin Feiyu gasped involuntarily—the red crystals eroded at an unimaginable speed. Twenty minutes ago, they were still monsters trapped in the depths of the mine. Twenty minutes later, they had caught up with the truck.Judging from this trend, it would take only a few hours—maybe before the "Xuanwu" swept Paget, the island would have completely fallen and turned into a crimson hell. No support, no means of transportation, and even no weapons—under such a desperate situation, an idea suddenly flashed in the depths of Lin Feiyu's consciousness, an idea that he and Leng Bing had always regarded as the "rules of action" for the past few years : "Run away, run away if you can't win," a trembling baritone echoed in his mind, "while it's still too late." "Damn old problem..." Lin Feiyu gritted his teeth—just at this moment when firmness and piety are most needed, and in this nightmarish and strange scene, an irrefutable wavering is gradually gaining the upper hand: "You must survive, Lin Feiyu, you still have important tasks to complete, and your motherland is waiting for you to return." Yes, I can’t die here——Lin Feiyu nodded his chin slightly. Standing here, he represents the interests of the entire People’s Republic of China. No matter how difficult it is, he must bring back the information on Paget Island Secret Service Seven, for scientists to develop countermeasures to avoid greater disasters - maybe even save the world. "Run away, just like before, get out of your body." Most psychiatrists believe that schizophrenia is a terminal illness. Even people who seem to have been cured can hardly avoid relapse at certain times. Disgusting, yet inescapable voice. "Like before?" Lin Feiyu suddenly felt his mouth dry, and swallowed involuntarily, "No... I'm not the same as before..." It was as if something had fixed his feet, weighing as much as a thousand catties, making him unable to move at all. "Don't lie to yourself, think about it, what did you rely on to survive until now?" Lin Feiyu couldn't control the other monologue in his heart, but he was unwilling to let it go. He looked at the two girls on the ground, hesitated, and let the precious time pass by him every minute and every second. "They are just a burden," the voice continued: "Ask yourself, are you capable of saving them all?" No, Lin Feiyu clearly realized that, let alone them, even he was not sure of getting out of trouble now. "So, run away, get out of here, the sooner the better, leave all your burdens behind... just like what Leng Bing taught you before." As if a puppet that had been charged with strings, Lin Feiyu turned around slowly with difficulty, with his back to the river beach. His expression was as stiff as a walking corpse, and his face was covered with sweat. Although he was extremely reluctant, his uncontrollable body still took the first step forward. Then, he froze. In the patchwork green sea ahead, a bewitching red color faintly emerged. This ominous strange light flickered, and after a pause of two or three seconds, it gradually became clear. Lin Feiyu turned pale with shock, and suddenly woke up from the nightmare-like abnormality. He instinctively took a step back, groped his body up and down, hoping to find a self-defense weapon. At this moment, the monster crawled out of the bushes, appeared, and scanned the three people in front of it with bright red blood eyes. The same scene happened once last night. The "red dog" that was raging in Paget Town was almost exactly the same as the monster in front of him—maybe it was really the same one. The entanglement and hesitation that were still lingering in my heart suddenly disappeared, and another voice in my mind also fell silent.Lin Feiyu's soul seemed to return to his body, and his whole body returned to normal in the blink of an eye. There is no doubt that if they run away now, both Aslang and Wang Qingyi will become the feast of the "red dog" in front of them, or worse - become one of those disgusting monsters. Maybe it was because of his dignity as a man, or maybe he just didn't want to admit defeat, Lin Feiyu decided that at least this time, he chose to stay instead of running away. While staring into the eyes of "Red Dog", he moved slowly, moved to a piece of scrap steel, knelt down and took it in his hand - ten minutes ago, this thing might have been the bumper of a truck or What other parts, but it is just a twisted and deformed rod-shaped metal object, and it is still slightly hot. Looking at the "weapon" in his hand, Lin Feiyu suddenly felt like laughing - when he was fighting the monster last night, he was still holding a shovel, but now there is only such a junk thing as a supplement. The monster seemed to still retain a bit of the instinct of a "dog". It took two steps to the left and right, but its eyes never left Lin Feiyu who was guarding in front of the two girls.Compared with last night, the crystal clusters around it were obviously denser and larger in area, but this obviously didn't affect its ability to exercise. After confirming that the crystal would erode organisms, Lin Feiyu didn't want to confront this monster head-on. If he could force it back after a confrontation, that would be the most ideal ending. But this monster didn't have the slightest intention to back down. It crawled forward a few steps and showed its sharp teeth at Lin Feiyu. "What are you afraid of? Little guy," Lin Feiyu tapped the ground with a steel bar: "Come here, let uncle love you." "White hands" is a fighting technique specifically for humans. As for whether it is effective against cats or dogs - this is something Leng Bing has never taught, so Lin Feiyu is somewhat nervous, and even his palms are a little wet. Maybe it read the uneasiness deep in the prey's heart, the monster suddenly jumped up without warning, and rushed towards Lin Feiyu. Lin Feiyu retreated with his right foot, crossed the steel bar, and stabbed straight at the bloody mouth that was approaching rapidly.Unexpectedly, the monster didn't dodge, let the steel bar penetrate its upper jaw, and took advantage of the opportunity to put its two front paws on Lin Feiyu's shoulders, throwing him to the ground forcefully. "Yu!" Aslan looked anxiously at the fighting in front of him, but he was still unable to move, feeling powerless. Lin Feiyu tried his best to support the steel bar to prevent the monster's stinky mouth from approaching his face.During the scuffle, he noticed a strange red light oozing from the monster's throat, and it became brighter and brighter. This reminded Lin Feiyu of what he saw in the alley last night - the monster gnawed on the head of the lobby manager. The corpse, not long after, the poor man got up again, dragging his tentacles and flailing his teeth and claws, running around. Yes indeed!Only then did Lin Feiyu suddenly realize that the monster not only ate the flesh and blood of the lobby manager, but also vomited its own "flesh and flesh" to the other party, which is the red pulp that is gushing out of its throat now— "Wow!" Accompanied by a ghostly growl, a large pool of crumbly red slag fell on the grass beside Lin Feiyu's face, slightly hot and emitting a foul smell. When the monster lowered its head and "vomited", Lin Feiyu kicked its lower abdomen with his feet, kicked it away, and kicked it aside. The monster rolled over and jumped up extremely agilely. Its crystallized left hind leg slipped a little on the grass, but it quickly stood firmly. The steel bar was still inserted in its mouth, which made it unable to straighten its neck, so it could only tilt its head and glance sideways at Lin Feiyu in a strange posture. It does not feel pain and is not afraid of being injured, so it is impossible to give up the prey in front of it.Listening to its strange and ear-piercing screams, and looking at the trembling crystal clusters all over its body, Lin Feiyu understood that it was difficult for him to kill this big dog directly, and it could even be said that he had no countermeasures. However, he also found that compared with ordinary dogs, this monster's movements were quite uncoordinated, especially when it was jumping, it was like a big piece of meat bouncing itself into the air. That is to say, under the action of the crystal, it can force creatures to make gestures that do not conform to their own "shape"-nature is fair, and violations of its laws will inevitably be punished accordingly. Through this simple judgment, Lin Feiyu felt that he had grasped the key to defeating the enemy. After brewing for a while, the monster flew forward again, just as Lin Feiyu guessed, in order to see the position of the prey clearly, it had to turn the head fixed by the steel bars sideways, and stare forward with one eye . The eyes of a dog are no better than that of a lizard, and it is impossible to rotate 180°. Lin Feiyu only moved half a step sideways to enter the blind spot of its vision.Since it couldn't turn its head, the monster could only see its prey again by adjusting its posture after landing—and this was all within Lin Feiyu's expectation. "how?" "What's the meaning?"
