Chapter 33 Chapter Thirty-Three Sharp Blades

Thomas screamed and began to slap the scarred hand, his eyes still trying to adjust to the light of Brenda's flashlight, squinting to see the delirious man clutching his shirt tightly. The Crazy Man yanked, throwing Thomas against the wall. His face hit the hard concrete wall directly, a pain hit his nose, and he felt the blood trickle down slowly. The Crazy Man pushed him back a few steps, then pulled him back.Push and pull, repeat over and over. Each time, Thomas' face was slammed against the wall.Thomas couldn't believe the strength of the lunatic - it wasn't obvious from his frail and battered appearance.

Brenda took out the knife and crawled forward hard, waiting for an opportunity to chop off the hand. "Watch out!" Thomas yelled, the knife getting very close.Thomas grabbed the man's wrist and twisted back and forth, trying to loosen his grip. But to no avail, the lunatic kept pushing and pulling Thomas' body against the wall. Screaming, Brenda charged, past Thomas, and slashed at the demented man's forearm. Then there was a flash of light on the blade, and the Crazy Man let out a catastrophic cry and let go of Thomas' shirt. His hand flew out of the corridor, leaving a trail of blood on the floor. He kept screaming loudly and painfully, with long echoes.

"We can't let him go!" Brenda yelled. "Come on, come out!" Thomas knew Brenda was right, and despite the bruises, he squirmed forward. They'll get it back once the lunatic connects with the other lunatics.Perhaps they had heard the commotion here long ago and were already rushing back. Thomas finally squeezed his arms and head out of the exit, and the rest was much easier. With the support of the wall, he pushed himself completely out.All the while, he kept his eyes on the lunatic, waiting for another attack. The lunatic was only a few feet away from him, his injured arm curled across his chest.Their eyes met, and the Crazy Man growled like a wounded animal, biting the air.

Thomas stood up, but slammed his head on the bottom of the table. "Damn it!" he yelled, and crawled out from under the thick planks.Brenda was right behind him, and soon they were all standing next to the demented man.The lunatic lay moaning on the floor like a fetus, and blood dripped from the wound, making a small pool on the floor. Brenda held the flashlight in one hand and the knife in the other, pointed at the demented man. "Old guy, you should have left with your crazy friends long ago, and you should have known that entanglement with us is not good for you." The lunatic didn't reply, and suddenly rotated his body around his shoulder, and kicked it out with astonishing speed and strength with his good leg.He kicked Brenda, Brenda hit Thomas, and they fell to the floor together.

Thomas heard the sound of knives and flashlights hitting the concrete floor one after another, and shadows swayed on the wall. The Crazy Man stumbled to his feet and rushed to the knife, which fell on the doorway leading to the corridor.Thomas lifted himself off the ground and rushed towards the demented man, slamming into the back of the demented man's knees and knocking him down. The lunatic spun his body quickly, and at the same time threw his elbow, which hit Thomas squarely on the jaw.Thomas felt a sharp pain and fell down, covering his face with his hands unconsciously. By this time Brenda was on her feet, jumped on top of the demented man, and punched him twice in the face, knocking him out briefly.

Taking advantage of the short time, she yanked him and turned him over again. In this way the demented patient lies on his stomach, on his stomach. She grabbed his arm, pinned it behind his back, and pushed up hard, causing him pain. The lunatic writhed violently, but Brenda held him down with her legs.He started screaming, a piercing scream of terror. "We must kill him!" she yelled. Thomas had scrambled to sit up, on his knees, looking around in a daze. "What?" he asked, too tired to respond to her words. "Take the knife! We must kill him!" The Crazy Man kept screaming, and the sound made Thomas want to run as far away as possible. The voice was abnormal, inhuman.

"Thomas!" Brenda yelled. Thomas crawled to the knife and picked it up, looking at the crimson goo on the sharp blade as he walked back toward Brenda. "Quick!" she said, her eyes shining with anger. He seemed to sense that her anger was no longer just directed at the delirious, but that she was also mad at him for wasting so long. But can he do it?Can he kill?Even a deranged lunatic trying to take his life?A madman who wants his nose to bleed? He staggered back to her, holding the knife like it had poison on the tip.As if just holding it could make him suffer from a hundred kinds of diseases, and then die a slow death in pain.

The lunatic, with his arms pressed against his back, was pressed to the ground, screaming non-stop. Brenda looked Thomas in the eyes and said firmly, "Hurry up!" Thomas started shaking his head, then stopped. He had no choice, he had to, so he nodded. Brenda yelled hard, pressed the right side of the demented patient, and turned the demented man sideways with the help of her body and hands holding the arms, and the demented man screamed even more uncontrollably. His chest was so arched in front of Thomas, inches away. "Now!" Brenda yelled. Thomas gripped the knife tightly, putting his other hand on it for a firmer grip.He had to do it, he had to.

"Now!" Brenda yelled again. The Crazy Man screamed. Sweat trickled down Thomas' face. His heart was pounding, pounding, beating hard. There was sweat in his eyes, and his whole body ached, with this horrible, inhuman scream. "Now!" With all his strength, Thomas stabbed the knife sharply.
