时当日暮,帐中嚷嚷不休。老太祝心下烦乱挥手陡然一喝:“散议造饭!” 堪舆师们正在愣怔,却闻帐外吏员连声惊呼:“山口!山口!” 众人闻声出帐,只见一人遥遥站在山口峰头,皓首青衣大袖飘飘,身披七彩晚霞隐隐然仙人一般!老太祝与堪舆师们顿时警悟,当即一齐拜倒高呼:“恳请青乌子赐教解惑!” 峰头传来沙哑苍劲的声音:“堪舆之术,顺天成人而已。若以汝等之心,天命国运尽在堪舆,天下何有正道也!” 老太祝额头汗水涔涔而下,遥遥一拜高声道:“我等愚鲁,容当自省。恳请青乌子指点秦王墓地,以解朝野疑惑,以安国人之心。” “天意也!老夫只有了了这桩繁难。”峰头老人大袖擎着一支竹杖遥遥向天一划,“秦地多形胜,非一人能独占,因人因时因地耳!昭襄王背祖制而东迁,此为孤葬也。孤葬者,非于大山之下,必于广川之上。秦之南山乃昆仑东来,为中国三大干龙之首。秦之渭水,注河入海,吞吐天地,向为天下广川。如此看去,南山之北渭水之南,便是大形胜也。然两处皆阴,须得阳势补之。”老人竹杖陡然直指东北,在晚霞中划出了一个大弧,“泾水渭水交汇处有芷塬盘踞,芷阳之地照大山而过广川,塬势光肥圆润势雄力足,平野铺展厚重万绿为盖,实是气脉灌注之佳穴也。泾水之南,渭水之北,芷塬之南,南山之北,两阴两阳,相济相生,合秦国之阴平水德,承干龙之大阳充盈,正当王者孤葬之地也。” “敢问青乌子,既为孤葬,预后如何?” “孤葬得势者勃兴焉!”一语方罢,山口峰头的老人倏忽不见了踪迹。晚霞弥散,沉沉暮霭笼罩了苍黄的原野,众人痴痴站在旷野寒风之中,却无一人说话。 次日清晨,老太祝将一卷刻写整齐的《青乌子相地辞》呈到了新君嬴柱的案头,并附上对国葬日期的占卜结果,又特意说明这是青乌子相地的最长说辞,实乃秦国之幸也!嬴柱看得兴致勃勃,特意在“孤葬得势者勃兴焉”一句旁划了一道粗大的红杠,并当即下诏蔡泽“依青乌子所相,于芷阳修建墓室,依占卜吉日大行国葬。” 蔡泽接诏,立即会同驷车庶长与咸阳内史,率领三万余徭役民众赶修墓地。其时君王墓葬远非后世皇帝那般宏大奢侈,只是规模较大的一座墓室外加地面一座陵园而已。祭祀宗庙则可葬后补建,无须同时动工。以战国风习,秦昭王陵墓成“中”字形,中央墓室合“九五”之数:长九百步,宽五十步;东墓道长三百步,宽六十步;西墓道长百步,宽二十步;墓深十丈,中央墓室分三级台阶达于正室;东墓道陈列殉葬臣僚与军阵陶俑,西墓道与南北两墓道陈列各种大型殉葬品;葬后地面起一座土山,便是“陵”,陵外筑砌一圈石墙,石坊为门,便成一座陵园。与后世相比,如此工程远非浩大,但在战国之世却也是一等一的宏大陵墓了。秦人感念昭襄王大功,无分是否徭役之期,凡是田间无农活者竟一律涌来帮工,一座大墓陵园竟在月余之间建得停当。行人署便依据老卜人卜定的葬期,向山东大小三十二个邦国一齐发出了国葬文告。秦王的国葬诏书也同时颁行朝野,都城咸阳与各郡县当即大肆举哀,未及三日,秦国朝野便淹没在一片白色汪洋之中。 冬至这日清晨,三万白甲铁骑隆隆开道,举国朝臣与王族男女护卫着秦昭襄王的灵柩缓缓地出了咸阳东门。东门外的沿途原野挤满了秦国民众,人们在清晨的寒风中肃然伫立,默默护送着这位大长秦人志气的威烈之王走向命运的尽头。从咸阳到芷阳的八十里大道原野上,白茫茫黑压压人群连绵不绝,各种香案祭品摆成了无边无际的长廊,老秦人捶胸顿足嚎啕长哭,伴着在风中断续呜咽的无数陶埙秦筝,弥漫出一种撼天动地的悲怆! 秦国灵柩大阵之后,便是山东六国、周王室以及二十余诸侯国的各色与葬方阵逶迤尾随,连绵旌旗白幡长达三十余里。这次,山东六国都派出了极为隆重的与葬使团,或太子或丞相做特使,一色的“百乘”车队,一色的万骑马队。百乘战车拉着“贡”给秦昭襄王的殉葬礼品,万骑马队则意味着与葬国对死者灵魂的隆重尊崇。在列国与葬使团中,韩国最为“显赫”,韩桓惠王亲自带领一班大臣入秦,下葬之前全副衰絰,专程到秦昭王的宗庙灵位前隆重祭祀,今日自然也紧紧跟着秦昭王的灵车,引得列国特使人人侧目。 这是春秋战国之世最为讲究的邦交礼仪——会葬。 无论如何征战攻伐,但凡一国君主国葬,各国都要派出特使会葬,然隆重繁简程度却是因人因国大有不同。战国初期,赵武灵王为其父赵肃侯国葬,中原大小诸侯悉数会葬,秦楚燕齐魏五大国各出百车万骑,其余小国车骑不等。葬仪之日,邯郸郊野旌旗蔽日白幡如林人马萧萧,号为战国最大葬礼。此后百年不乏雄主谢世,如齐威王、秦惠王、楚威王、燕昭王、齐宣王、赵武灵王、赵惠文王,然此等会葬大礼却是未曾再现。 说到底,时也势也。秦昭王之前,七大战国尚在最后一波变法强国浪潮之中,攻杀征战互有胜负,内政功业各见短长,天下远未形成强弱定势。其时秦国与山东六国的合纵连横缠绕攻击势成水火,七国敌友倏忽无定,各国忙于实打实大争,邦交来往与征战恩怨盘根错节,谁也没精力应酬邦交虚礼,会葬礼仪自然也成虚文。然则经秦昭襄王五十六年,秦国横扫六国如卷席,一世奠定了一强对六弱的天下定势:先大败六国联军于河内;再将土地最广袤潜力最大的楚国一举击跨,夺取彝陵、攻占郢都、设置南郡,逼楚国仓皇北迁,最有回旋余地的一个大国终于成了二流战国;然后强攻老底子最雄厚的魏国,捎带侵消已经软成了一摊烂泥的韩国,一举夺取河东河内三十余城,设河东河内两郡,迫使魏国龟缩河南之地,终于也成了二流战国;期间燕齐两国六年兴亡大战,最终两败俱伤,一齐成了二流战国;最后,秦结举国之力与新崛起的最强大对手赵国大决,长平一战三年,摧毁赵军全部主力五十余万,牢牢占据上党天险,若非秦国君臣歧见致白起愤然罢兵,秦军完全可能一战灭了赵国!原本已经孱弱的韩国,经长平大战丢上党、失宜阳与野王,更是滑入了三流战国;至此,作为山东屏障的最强大赵国虽然依旧是山东最强,然却与秦国再也无法对等抗衡了。秦国虽然也在长平大战后两败于山东联军,但实力元气却远未损伤,经秦昭襄王晚年励精图治,巴蜀变成了秦国又一个“陆海”,财货民众已经更为殷实。天下有识之士都看得明白:若非秦国大军暂无一流名将担纲,秦昭王也痛感后继者乏力从而主动采取守势,山东六国当真便是岌岌可危了! 这便是秦昭襄王的一世沧桑,在位五十六年使天下混战局势剧烈倾斜——秦成超强大国,山东六国全部成为二三流战国!当此大势分明之际,山东六国一派颓然疲惫,竟隐隐然认了这个令人窝
