After Li Rusong returned to the camp of the Chinese army, he ordered his personal soldiers to call seven people, and he wanted to talk in secret one by one. The first batch to come were the three giants of the Ming army besides Li Rusong: Li Rubai, Yang Yuan and Zhang Shijue.Li Rusong asked the soldiers not to rest after they returned to the camp, to keep their armors and firearms unsealed, and not to rush to put away matchlocks, gunpowder and bullets. The three generals understood as soon as they heard it, it was because the coach was afraid of robbing the camp.Li Rusong said that you will know when the time comes, without further explanation.

A person came in the second wave, Wu Weizhong.Li Rusong spread out the map of Pyongyang, clicked on one of them, and said that when the battle officially starts in two days, I don't ask you to conquer Mudanfeng, but you and Monk Xiu Jing must take this place no matter what.Wu Weizhong didn't understand what he meant, but he didn't refute the military order like a mountain, and went back with the order. The third wave is two North Koreans, Zheng Xixian and Jin Jingrui, a pair of troubled brothers. The two thought that Li Rusong wanted to settle accounts after Qiuhou, but Admiral Li was so kind, he patted his shoulder and told them to fight hard tomorrow.Zheng Xixian and Jin Jingrui hurriedly said that they must play better than today, and Admiral Li said no, just play at today's level.

After seeing these six people, Li Rusong called the last person in. This person is Zu Chengxun. Pyongyang City is the sad place of Zu Chengxun.Since that defeat, Zu Chengxun's prestige in the Liaodong Army has plummeted. Although relying on the prestige of Li Chengliang and Li Rusong's father and son, he was not pushed to the end, but the shame of a soldier who lost a battle cannot be washed away. After returning to Liaodong, Zu Chengxun was dispatched to Phoenix City to devote himself to repairing the armor, but in his heart, the flame of revenge never went out. When Li Rusong entered the court, he did not forget this old subordinate. He used Zu Chengxun's experience in fighting the Japanese army as an excuse to let him go out with the army, and his official position was still the deputy commander. He asked Zu Chengxun: Do you want revenge?Zu Chengxun nodded.Li Rusong said yes, Fuer will go over and teach you how to do it face-to-face, you have to do so.

When Zu Chengxun came out of the tent, his eyes were glowing green, like a tiger out of the cage that had been starved, and his whole body exuded a murderous aura of wanting to eat people. After making these arrangements, Li Rusong went to bed with peace of mind. The coach fell asleep, but the people below did not dare to sleep. They had general orders, so they had to force their sleepy eyes to lie down beside the tents, under the chariots, and inside the fence of the camp, watching the bright flag lights and dozing off.Maybe there are still people who secretly scold the coach in their hearts for making a lot of trouble.

It was a peaceful night, but at three o'clock in the morning, something strange appeared. People who have stayed up all night have experience. The most difficult time is not twelve o'clock in the middle of the night, but three to four o'clock in the morning. At that time, people are most likely to get tired, and their spirits are also the most lax.President Xiaoxi deliberately chose this moment and sent 3,000 people to rob the camp! These 3000 people boldly touched the outskirts of the camp, and were about to make a move, but they didn't prevent the camp from shouting and killing everywhere. The soldiers of the Ming army who had been waiting all night were getting impatient, hoping that the little devils would come early so that they could go to bed after the fight. Now that the devils have come, the soldiers have spewed out all their sleepless anger. For a moment, flames shot up into the sky, and thousands of guns fired in salvo, illuminating the sky red.

The Japanese army was used to robbing the barracks of the Koreans, but they didn't expect the Ming army's attack to be so tough, and they were a little uncomfortable. You know, people who lack sleep are particularly prone to irritable tempers, let alone tens of thousands of irritable Northeast men... This is the first flaw of the Japanese army discovered by Li Rusong: arrogance. Since the start of the war in April of the Renchen year, the Japanese have never encountered a major setback on land, and the overly smooth battle situation has raised a group of arrogant soldiers.Li Rusong felt the domineering attitude of the Japanese army during the siege battle on the sixth day.Especially when he saw the generals of the Japanese army holding up the flag and blowing the conch trumpet to supervise the battle swaggeringly around the city, he was even more convinced of his judgment.

Li Rusong is also an arrogant person, very sensitive to other people's arrogant mentality. He knew that after the Ming army failed to attack the city on the first day, the flamboyant Japanese army would never miss the opportunity to attack at night. He prescribes the right medicine, and it hits the nail on the head. The Japanese army lost a large number of corpses and fled back in a hurry. At this time, it was almost dawn.Li Rusong ordered all the ministries to bury pots and cook food. After a hasty breakfast, they blew the horn and set off. The Japanese army in the city was on the verge of a formidable enemy, and they did not fight on the sixth day of the month. Today, the Ming army must officially start attacking the city on the seventh day of the day, and there must be a bloody battle. But all they heard was the sound of the horn, but there was no movement.

After a while, the Japanese saw a small army tremblingly approaching the ordinary gate on the west side of Pyongyang in the distance, and they took a closer look, and they were happy. It turned out that this army was precisely the troops of Zheng Xixian and Jin Jingrui who were defeated outside Hanmao Gate yesterday. They didn't know what medicine they took today, but they mustered up the courage to go deep alone. The defenders of the Japanese army at Tongtongmen couldn't bear their temper. Let's treat the Ming army with caution. Dealing with the Koreans is almost like chasing grass chickens.

So when Zheng Xixian and Jin Jingrui's troops approached the ordinary gate, the Japanese army suddenly opened the city gate, and a group of soldiers rushed out arrogantly and happily ran towards the North Koreans. The North Korean army began to retreat without any suspense. They skillfully discarded their weapons and flags, turned and ran quickly.Zheng Xixian fled west, and Jin Jingrui fled north. The Japanese became even more excited, chasing after the North Korean army. After chasing and chasing, they realized that something was wrong.Turning around, I saw that two Ming cavalry had quietly detoured behind the Japanese, separating them from Pyongyang City.Immediately, the Koreans stopped running, and merged with the infantry of the Ming army who followed them, forming a large circle. The Japanese who were chasing were dumbfounded, they were directly made dumplings, and more than 30 people died.

The Japanese defenders stared at the city wall with eyes wide open, but they were powerless. When the news spread to the city, President Xiaoxi was a little worried. It seemed that the Ming army had a lot of numbers and their combat power was not bad. He thought it would be better to seek peace. He sent an envoy to Li Rusong's camp, and said a lot of nonsense that our country just wanted to pay tribute to Daming, why should we fight each other with swords and guns, why don't we all take a few steps back and discuss it calmly. Unexpectedly, Li Rusong agreed without saying a word, gathered up all the people who had been scattered, and went back to the camp to rest. This surprised the Japanese army who were ready to fight to the death.

Seeing that the Ming army agreed so happily, President Xiaonishi changed his mind again, thinking that these Ming troops must be strong outsiders but capable in the middle, and could not wait for the Japanese army to negotiate. His little plan was active again: to rob the camp again tonight. So on the seventh night of the first month, Chief Xiaoxi sent another force to attack Li Rubai's camp at night. President Xiaonishi's logic is: I was fooled by you when I attacked the camp for the first time, and you must never have imagined that I would come the next day. Li Rusong's logic is: I guessed your attack on the camp the first time, and you must think that I didn't expect you to come the next day. This is an endless logical problem, anyway, whoever guesses the most moves has a chance of winning. Unfortunately, Li Rusong won again in this rock-paper-scissors game.He guessed again what the hand behind President Xiaoxi's back was. So the fate of the Japanese army who attacked the camp was even worse than that of yesterday. They were beaten head-on by Li Rubai, and they ran back crying and shouting. Admiral Li had known for a long time that this was President Xiaoxi's plan to delay the attack. The reason why he pretended to agree to the peace talks was that he had no intention of doing anything on the seventh day of the lunar new year, because there was still one thing that hadn't arrived. He is waiting for the cannon. This time the Ming army brought more than 300 cannons and fire chariots, of all sizes and calibers. These artillery and supporting shells, gunpowder, poison and other supplies are very heavy and need to be dragged slowly by bullock carts. When the main force of the Ming army arrived in Pyongyang, the cannons were left behind and dragged along.Yuan Huangzheng whipped the transport team impatiently, urging them to go on the road overnight. Until the evening of the seventh day of the lunar new year, the artillery pieces of the Ming Army that arrived in Pyongyang were not all there, but the number was barely enough for a big battle. The reason why Li Rusong insisted on waiting until the artillery arrived was that he discovered the second weakness of the Japanese army on the sixth day: lack of ammunition. He noticed that, including the Battle of Mudanfeng, the firing density of the Japanese iron artillery was far less than that of the previous battle reports. In the battles in many places, the Japanese army could obviously shoot with iron cannons, but chose hand-to-hand combat. In many places on the top of the city, archers from the Korean puppet army were even used. All these signs indicated that the ammunition reserves of the Japanese army had reached a certain level, and they no longer dared to use iron cannons to their fullest, except in key places like Mudanfeng. The Japanese army without iron cannons is equivalent to pulling out half of its minions. To deal with this kind of enemy, it is the best choice to use cannons to burn them into smoked rabbits from a distance. Not long after the artillery team arrived, Li Rusong summoned all the generals of the Chinese and North Korean coalition forces to the Chinese army tent, and said four words: "On the eighth day of the lunar new year, attack the city." Then he gave a very detailed attack plan: Yang Yuan's troops attacked the ordinary gate on the west side of Pyongyang. Zhang Shijue's troops attacked Qixing Gate in the northeast of Pyongyang City. This road concentrated more than half of the Ming army's existing artillery, and it was the main attack direction of the Ming army. Li Rusong's central army was also set in this direction. On his left flank, Wu Weizhong, Master Xiu Jing and the Zha Dashou Department of the Liaodong Army formed an assault arrow. Their goal was to attack Mudanfeng in the northern city. Li Rubai's troops were in charge of attacking Hanmaomen and Chebumen in the south. His subordinates also included Luo Shangzhi's 1,500 Zhejiang soldiers and Li Yi, Jin Jingrui and other 1,500 North Korean regular troops. The Ming army was divided into three groups, enveloping half of Pyongyang's outskirts from the west, south, and north directions. When everyone saw this plan, they all raised a question: what about the east side?Pyongyang's Dongseong exits the Datong Gate and faces the Datong River directly. It was winter at this time, and the surface of the Datong River was frozen, and people and horses could pass through it.If you don't let go of any soldiers, wouldn't you let the Japanese escape? Li Rusong's expression was very relaxed, just run away.No one knows what he thinks. In fact, this is the third flaw of the Japanese army discovered by Li Rusong. Li Rusong has already learned the details of the negotiation between Shen Weijing and President Xiaoxi. He noticed that President Xiaonishi has been emphasizing in the negotiations that he wants to rule the river with great harmony. On the one hand, this condition shows that the Japanese army is determined to win Eastern Korea; on the other hand, it also shows that the expansion of the Japanese army has reached its limit. Come to bargaining chips. During the next two days of siege battles, Li Rusong proved his judgment that the Japanese army was relentless.Regardless of their stance of living and dying with the city, as long as they exert enough pressure to make them realize that defending Pyongyang City will cause more losses than gains, President Xiaonishi will abandon the city and flee eastward. Since this is the case, it is more in the interests of the Ming army to simply encircle the Three Ques than to let the Japanese army be trapped in the city of Pyongyang. You know, Li Rusong's main force is Liaodong cavalry, and siege warfare is not their strong point, but pursuit is.When the Japanese army could not bear the strong pressure from three sides and chose to retreat from the east, the cavalry would follow them all the way to chase and kill them, which was much more efficient than storming the city wall. Some people may be surprised that Li Rusong fought Ningxia City before, but he was surrounded tightly without leaving any gaps, and he fought patiently for several months. Now in Pyongyang, how did you change your mind? This is because Li Rusong has another account in his mind.Ningxia besieged the city for several months without leaving any gaps. That was because in China, Qi Bai was a daring traitor to the empire, so no matter what the price was, this person must die.And the current Ming army, to put it bluntly, is working for the North Koreans, so there is no need to fight to the death. As long as they can win Pyongyang, everyone will be happy. Different enemies determine different ways to attack the city. The so-called "the cleverness of the use lies in one mind" in the art of war is probably like this. Li Rusong's judgment was absolutely correct.President Xiaonishi is currently shrinking in the city of Pyongyang, taking the medicine of regret in handfuls. Regarding the defense of Pyongyang, there have long been disputes among the top Japanese military. As early as when the Japanese occupying forces received the news that Ming Dynasty might send troops, Ukita Hideka specially convened army leaders including Konishi, Kuroda Nagamasa, Fukushima Masanori, Mori Yoshinari, etc. to Seoul for a meeting to discuss the next strategy of using troops. When the meeting started, the generals noticed that Kuroda Nagamasa was sitting behind a person respectfully. This man is called Kanbei Kuroda, Nagamasa's father, and Hideyoshi's former military advisor. He also has a title in Japan called "Rare Famous Military Advisor". Kuroda Kanbei had been working with Ukita Hideo's family as a staff officer before, but he was not optimistic about the war of aggression against Korea, and Hideyoshi drove him back to the country in a rage. Now that he heard that Daming was going to send troops, Hideyoshi had no choice but to rely on his wisdom and asked Guan Bingwei to come to North Korea to help. Regarding the next battle plan, Kanbei Kuroda was not polite to a group of juniors. His opinion is that with Seoul as the center of defense, fortresses should be built on both sides of the road west of Seoul to resist every quarter. In this way, the supply line can be shortened, and troops can be dispatched in time to rescue from the Busan-Seoul line.As for continuing to attack, the time is not yet ripe. When he said that, Xiaoxi couldn't help but jumped out.Pyongyang is now his main base, and Kanbei Kuroda advocates stopping the attack, which is clearly to dismantle his platform.Regardless of respecting the elders, President Xiaoxi directly stated that the Korean army is not to be feared, and it is not easy for the Ming army to cross the Yalu River. If you want to retreat, you can do whatever you want. I want to fight from Pyongyang to the Yalu River, and fight the Ming army on the bank of the Yalu River. The officer, soldier and guard sighed, and said that if you ran so far, if the Ming army came over and the rear support was not enough, wouldn't you want to fight alone?Takakage Kobayakawa also advised Konishi Yuki to think twice. Faced with the persuasion of a famous military adviser and a wise general, President Xiaoxi refused to listen. He and Ishida Mitsunari were in the same group, and Ishida Mitsunari and Kuroda Kanbei had always had a bad relationship, so Konishi took it for granted that it was Kanbei who put on shoes for him. After the meeting, Kanbei wrote a letter to Hideyoshi, saying that Konishi is disobedient, and he will lose the battle sooner or later. As a result, this letter almost caused his own death, and Hideyoshi almost forced him to have a caesarean section. After Xiaoxi returned to Pyongyang, he still went his own way and ignored the words of Guan Bingwei. But as the Ming army entered North Korea, President Xiaonishi found that the strategic environment continued to deteriorate, lacking food and clothing, and the days became more and more tense. It was only then that he remembered old man Kuroda's harsh advice, but it was already too late. His First Army was tightly tied to Pyongyang, and the only friendly troops nearby were Otomo Yoshitomo of the Third Army stationed in Fengshan City, and Kobayakawa Hidebo of Tachibana Somoge of Niu Feng's Sixth Army and Pingshan. There are not many troops in these three groups. Otomo has 2,000 troops, Lihua has more than 2,500 troops, and Xiubao has almost 2,000 troops. This level of troops can at most be used to support the defeated soldiers from Pyongyang, and it is difficult to expect them to rescue them. Now Pyongyang City has become a hot potato for President Xiaonishi: I am not reconciled to retreating, but I will stick to it. It is not that there is difficulty, but it is definitely impossible to hold on Li Rusong put on a posture of encircling three queues, which was tailor-made for him according to the thoughts of Xingxing Xiaoxi. And it shows that all the military departments have received the general order, and they are going to prepare separately. But Li Rusong called them back: "Soldiers are expensive, don't eat breakfast, let's talk about killing the Japanese pirates!" The generals had to agree. Before the station opened, Li Rusong lit a stick of incense and took a divination in front of the statue of Guan Gong brought by the army, and it turned out to be auspicious. So he turned away and issued two more orders to the whole army. Do not behead. The first climber will be rewarded with three hundred taels of silver. Beheading is not allowed because the Ming army is used to counting meritorious deeds by beheading, and soldiers often delay their work in order to snatch the enemy's head.Li Rusong knew that the siege of the city was of great importance, so he specially told all the ministries of the Ming army not to rush to claim credit, and it is serious to take the city first. In different historical materials, Li Rusong proposed very different rewards, ranging from a minimum of three hundred taels to a maximum of five thousand taels. The reward of 5,000 taels is obviously a bit outrageous, Xiao Xixing's head is only worth 10,000 taels of silver; 300 taels is the amount that the generals of the Southern Army asked Li Rusong after the war, which is most in line with the facts. This pros and cons shows that Li Rusong is not optimistic about the tough battle in Pyongyang, and he needs the whole army to pay attention to it and concentrate on working. In the early morning of the eighth day of January, after two days of testing, the Ming army's general attack on Pyongyang City officially began. The artillerymen of the Ming army were the first to roar. They had already entered the position last night, aligned the various artillery pieces far and near, and adjusted the shooting angles.Following an order, countless shells flew over the city wall, and the ordinary gate, Qixing gate, and Hanmao gate were immediately engulfed in flames. The Japanese defenders were all dumbfounded.Although Japan also has similar large cylinders and stone fire cylinders, they are very few in number and do not dominate the battlefield. They have never experienced such a scene of thousands of guns firing like Daming. After the first burst of artillery strikes, the Japanese army hadn't recovered from the panic, and the Ming army quickly pushed forward one by one fire chariots. The shape of this chariot is very similar to the multiple rocket launchers of later generations. Its base is a human-powered wooden cart, and there are two rows of six rectangular boxes on the cart, which contain 160 fire dragon arrows or poisonous rockets. The leads of these rockets are hinged together and placed at the end of the box.The operator only needs to ignite the fuse, and the more than one hundred rockets can roar out together. There is also a cotton curtain in front of the chariot to protect against arrows and lead pellets. Dozens of chariots were pushed by the Ming army to a place hundreds of steps away from the city wall. The fronts of the chariots were raised and fired at the top of the city.Thousands of fire dragons rushed into the air, drawing dazzling trajectories, which was spectacular. The Japanese army discovered that after these rockets fell into the city, they would not only ignite houses, but also emit a kind of smoke. As long as people who come into contact with the smoke will feel dizzy and unable to stand still. This is a chemical weapon specially made by Daming. The drug is hidden in the arrowhead of the rocket, and it burns and volatilizes when heated. After the fire chariot was launched, it quickly retreated to its position. There are barbed caltrops buried in front of the position, which can effectively prevent enemy infantry and cavalry from advancing. At the same time, the main force of the Ming army began to assault the front of the city. In the attacking ranks, there are many firearms teams. They held tiger squatting cannons in their arms, and they were vigorous, and they were closely followed by guards. The tiger squat is a two-foot-long cannon barrel with seven iron hoops on the barrel body, and two iron claws protruding from the muzzle. They rushed to a place not far from the city gate, put down the cannon barrel, and the iron claws firmly grasped the ground, forming a forty-five-degree elevation angle with the city wall. With a dull roar, the tiger squatting gun sprayed countless high-speed moving lead and stones towards the city, smashing everyone who came into contact with blood and blood. The firearms attacks of the Ming army alternated from near to far, wave after wave, and the momentum was extremely astonishing. The Japanese army saw more firearms of all kinds on this day than they had seen in the previous half of their lives. The entire city of Pyongyang was shaken by the sound of rumbling guns. The North Koreans on the sidelines were so happy to see it-opened their eyes, it was worth the fare for so much food and grass. When looking back on this day, they described it in an intoxicated tone: "Although the sound of Japanese guns is heard from all directions, the sound can be heard everywhere. The cannons of the heavenly soldiers are like mountains falling and the ground cracking, and the mountains and plains are shaking, which is indescribable.", " The sound shakes the sky and the earth, and the mountains move. The wilderness is dark. The smoke and flames rise to the sky, and they are dozens of miles away. The rockets are like weaving in the sky, and the fire is fierce. The wind is fierce. Straight into the city, the trees are burned." Just when the north, west, and south sides of Pyongyang were in chaos at the same time, the troops of Wu Weizhong, Master Xiu Jing, and Zha Dashou approached Mudanfeng calmly. Mudanfeng is in the northeast corner of Pyongyang City. It is surrounded by a circle of city walls, forming an independent North City, which is connected to Pyongyang City through the south gate of the North City.On the night of the sixth day, Li Rusong gave Wu Weizhong an order: occupy this city gate and cut off all communication and passages between Beicheng and Pyongyang. Wu Weizhong didn't quite understand the purpose of this order.Because the enemies on Moranbong can fight independently, blocking the city gates does not prevent them from supporting Pyongyang City with firepower. But he didn't question it. After the general offensive started on this day, Wu Weizhong ordered Xiu Jing and Zha Dashou to lead their subordinates to besiege Mudanfeng, while he himself led the elite soldiers from Zhejiang to the south of Beicheng. The initial attack went smoothly, but the Ming army's overwhelming artillery attack made the Japanese army dizzy for a while, and the defense was slack. The Zhejiang soldiers quickly broke through the outer defense line and captured the south gate of the northern city. After controlling the south gate of the north city, before Wu Weizhong had time to catch his breath, he suddenly realized that he seemed to have stabbed a huge hornet's nest—the Japanese were all crazy.Countless samurai and ashigaru rushed out of the inner city of Pyongyang all at once, screaming desperately and began storming the south gate of the northern city. Facing the frenzied attack of the Japanese, the pressure on Zhejiang soldiers suddenly increased. The towers at the south gate of the northern city were small, so it was easy for them to take them down, but of course it is also difficult to defend them now.Wu Weizhong was a little confused. He didn't know what medicine the Japanese had taken wrongly. Is this place so important? As for what? He didn't know that at this time the Japanese commander Konishi Xingchang was supervising the army on Mudanfeng. The Ming army's occupation of the South Tower of the North City was equivalent to cutting off half of the Japanese army's neck. The Japanese commander and headquarters were isolated outside Pyongyang. Do you think the Japanese can be in a hurry? This is the fourth flaw of the Japanese army discovered by Li Rusong. In ancient times, there were no radios and telephones on the battlefield, so when encountering a large-scale battle, the coach would choose a high ground, climb up and look far, so as to control the overall situation.Especially in the battle of defending the city, it is very important to see every move of the enemy in time. Li Rusong knew that as long as the Ming army surrounded him, Captain Xiaoxi would definitely climb to the highest point.Li Rusong was also a commander, so he was very familiar with this kind of mentality of a general who loves to climb high, and he judged others by himself, as expected. The best place to look out for Pyongyang City is at Moranbong Peak, where you can see all sides at a glance.Once the Ming army attacked the city, Chief Xiaoxi would definitely choose this place—but the problem is that Mudanfeng is not like other commanding heights somewhere in the city, but hangs alone outside the main city of Pyongyang, connected only by a city gate. This was one of the fatal flaws of the Japanese army and an excellent opportunity for the Ming army. The attack on the sixth day was not so much a temptation as Li Rusong was giving psychological hints to President Xiaoxi.Sure enough, on the day of the eighth day of the lunar new year, Chief Xiaonishi climbed the Mudan Peak to overlook the entire battle situation. Wu Weizhong cut off the south gate of the north city, and Zong Yizhi, who was directing the battle in the main city, almost went crazy. There are only more than 2,000 people on Mudan Peak. If the Ming army defends the south gate and sends a large army to attack with all their strength, I am afraid that Xingchang Xiaonishi will die without a place to die, and the defenders in Pyongyang will also be leaderless. Li Rusong is planning to behead him! . Zong Yizhi immediately launched several raids in an attempt to open the passage and take back President Xiaonishi, but all failed.Under the leadership of Wu Weizhong, the Zhejiang soldiers fought to the death and guarded the south gate firmly. When Zong Yizhi was in trouble, a rough man stood up and said loudly that I am willing to break through! This person is called Kokubun Hayato, and he is a fierce general of the clan.Zong Yizhi was overjoyed when he heard the words, and selected a group of elite soldiers to follow Kokubun and launch another attack.Relying on the intensive firepower of the Japanese army's iron cannons, Kokubun Hayato forcibly broke a bloody path through the Ming army's formation, broke into Beicheng, and climbed Mudan Peak. President Xiaonishi was staring at the artillery bombardment of the Ming army with a gloomy expression, when he suddenly received a report from Hayato, and immediately broke out in a cold sweat. He hurriedly led his subordinates away from the top of Peony Peak and came to the south gate at the foot of the mountain. As soon as he saw Governor Xiaonishi, Wu Weizhong immediately realized the reason why the Japanese army went crazy. At this time, the Japanese army in the main city and the Mudanfeng Japanese army launched a sharp offensive from two directions, one from the south and the other from the north. Wu Weizhong led the Zhejiang soldiers to fight to the death, and the two sides fell into a melee. At this critical moment, a bullet happened to shoot through Wu Weizhong's chest, and blood sprayed out and covered his lower abdomen.Although Wu Weizhong was seriously injured and was snatched away by his subordinates, he still had all his beard and hair on his back, and loudly issued various combat orders.A strong belief supported him: I am a member of the Qi family army, and I must not tarnish these three words. It's just that the chief general's injury still affected the Ming army, which was already at a disadvantage in terms of strength. In the end, when the main general was seriously injured and both sides were attacked by enemies, they finally found it difficult to hold on, and could only retreat slowly around the wounded Wu Weizhong. President Xiaoxi didn't dare to pursue him.He is frightened now and just wants to return to the city as soon as possible. Although Wu Weizhong's struggle did not achieve the beheading situation, it was not completely meaningless.Chief Konishi was frightened by him, and after returning to the city, he no longer dared to climb high, but handed over the task of climbing to lookout, a guy named Oishi Arakawasuke under Zongyi Zhizhi. This buddy is a bit of a mess, he doesn't wear any armor, he puts on a short shirt and climbs up to the top of Fengyue Tower. What he saw, he told President Xiaoxi, and Xiaoxi made a decision. This method of indirect reporting eventually harmed the Japanese army itself. During the period from the beginning of the battle to the retreat of Wu Weizhong, the Japanese troops in other places adapted, and the resistance gradually became more organized. At this time, not only the south gate of the North City, but also all the battlefields in the main city of Pyongyang, the two armies have entered a stalemate. The tenacity of the Japanese army exceeded Li Rusong's expectations. They lay down on the caves and city walls, braving fierce artillery fire to attack the Ming army. When the Ming army approached, they poured boiling oil into the city and threw huge stones. When the Ming army retreated, they shot arrows desperately and shot wildly with iron cannons. Since the beginning of the battle, Li Rusong led the guards on horseback to and from the position between the three gates to direct the battle. At this moment, seeing that the Ming army could not attack for a long time, Li Rusong was furious, and suddenly he led more than a hundred of his subordinates, approaching the city, and personally joined the attacking team on the city. The coach was so brave and charged forward, the soldiers of the Ming army immediately launched an attack as if they were desperate.Zhang Shijue was shocked when he saw this, and hurriedly ordered the artillery troops of the Ming army to advance against the Japanese bullets and shoot at close range to suppress the Japanese firepower, so as to protect Li Rusong and prevent the commander from being injured by the Japanese army. In fact, the Japanese army in the city was almost at its limit at this moment. After all, their number was not as large as that of the Ming army, and each branch was tight, so it was impossible to mobilize mobile troops.Xingchang Xiaoxi frowned and watched for a long time, and suddenly noticed that the offensives of Qixingmen and ordinary gates were extremely strong, but the pressure of the southern Hanmao gate was relatively easy, far less severe than the other two gates. Oishi Arakawa quickly reported a situation to Xiaonishi, saying that looking at the military uniforms, it seems that the main force attacking the Hanmao Gate is the Koreans.Xiaoxi breathed a sigh of relief. He is very clear about the fighting power of the Korean army. Let alone attacking the city, he is afraid that as long as the Japanese army opens the city gate, they will be defeated and flee. So Xiaoxi made a decision. He transferred some of the defenders near the Hanmao Gate and added them to the Seven Star Gate and the Ordinary Gate. After some of the defenders of Hanmao Gate were transferred away, the North Korean army in front of the gate began to launch a new round of attacks. After the artillery salvo of the Ming army, they advanced tremblingly, relying on the gunpowder smoke that blocked their sight. The Japanese soldiers at the top of the city looked at the defeated generals below with ease, and calculated how many people they could kill this time. They didn't even bother to use iron cannons—what would those trash from North Korea do to us even if they were close to the city wall? But when the North Korean army approached the city, an accident happened. Hundreds of North Korean soldiers among them made a strange move: they tore off their clothes. Inside, what was exposed was the shining armor of the Ming army. The Japanese saw the leader with a ferocious face full of anger and an extremely strong desire for revenge. This person was Zu Chengxun who had to leave but never showed up. During the battle on the sixth day, Li Rusong discovered that the Japanese army had a strong sense of superiority over the North Korean army. When Zheng Xixian and Jin Jingrui attacked the city, the Japanese army even dared to go out of the city to fight back.In order to verify his idea, Li Rusong arranged for the two North Korean generals to carry out another trial attack on the seventh day of the lunar month. Sure enough, the Japanese army attacked again, proving once again his conjecture that "the Japanese army extremely despises the Korean army." This attitude of extreme contempt for the North Korean army is the fifth fatal flaw of the Japanese army in Pyongyang. Li Rusong called Zu Chengxun. He knew that this person had a heart for the Japanese army in Pyongyang.Sometimes psychological shadows can make people decadent, but sometimes they can double their combat power.Li Rusong believes that Zu Chengxun is the latter. Zu Chengxun and his subordinates changed into the military uniforms of the North Korean army and mixed with Li Yi and Jin Jingrui's siege troops. They had not moved until now. This was a huge time bomb Li Rusong buried in Nancheng. Now the bomb has finally exploded.Zu Chengxun has been waiting for this day for a long time. Since last July, he has been carrying a heavy sense of shame. This sense of shame can only be washed away in Pyongyang. Zu Chengxun threw off the North Korean military uniform, roaring like a fierce tiger out of the cage, and rushed towards Hanmao Gate.Behind him, hundreds of Ming army elites swept in like a gust of fire. The tired Japanese army couldn't adapt to the sudden acceleration of the attack rhythm for a while, and the troops were insufficient, and there were many dangers in front of Hanmao's gate. If President Xiaonishi had observed it with his own eyes, he might have noticed the flaws of those "pseudo-Korean troops".It's a pity that he was scared out of his wits by Wu Weizhong, so he dared to observe with the help of Oishi Arakawasuke's eyes - the latter is a rough warrior, his eyesight may be good, but his observation ability is not good. Li Rubai, the commander of the Southern Army, had been watching the battle from a distance. Seeing that Zu Chengxun's sudden attack had thrown the defenders into chaos, he immediately waved the general flag and ordered the main force of the Ming army to follow closely. This precious opportunity must not be missed. The one who rushed to the forefront was Luo Shangzhi, the leader of the Zhejiang Army.Luo Shangzhi is a fierce general and a master of martial arts. It is said that he is good at using eighty-eight catties of halberds and can lift eight hundred catties of stone locks, so he is known as "Luo Qianjin".He took the lead in charging, holding a halberd and waving like the wind, very prestigious.Li Rubai suggested to build a sand bridge under the city before departure, but Luo Shangzhi waved his hand and said no, just watch. Luo Shangzhi led his troops to the gate of Hanmao, and the Japanese army who was catching up to the top of the city was tossed into disgrace by Zu Chengxun's sudden onslaught.Immediately afterwards, dozens of black shadows jumped up from the Ming army formation, leaped into the air, crossed the city wall and flew towards the city, like divine soldiers descending from heaven. The Japanese army had never seen such a battle before, and they were horrified, terrified, and yelled for a while, thinking that this battle could not be fought... Wait a minute, isn't this scene from a martial arts novel? How can ordinary people have such abilities? It's true that ordinary people really don't have the ability to fly into the city, but there is one kind of ordinary people who do—dead people. Luo Shangzhi played a trick before attacking. He got a lot of corpses in advance, put them on the clothes of the Ming army, tied them to the chariot, and threw them across the city.At that time, Zu Chengxun who had exploded had already been killed, and the Japanese army was in a panic when they saw countless Ming soldiers flying over the city wall into the city. Zhejiang soldiers took advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime vacancy period to lift hook ladders and stick them on the city wall, and someone below them firmly fixed them.Luo Shangzhi took the lead, jumped up the ladder and rushed towards the top of the city. He was strong and strong, and he could reach the top of the city with only a few strokes. Unexpectedly, when approaching the top of the city, a flying stone suddenly hit Luo Shangzhi's lower abdomen. If it were someone else, I'm afraid he would be thrown directly into the city with this blow; but Luo Shangzhi's physique is extremely strong, so he insisted on carrying this blow. Luo Shangzhi endured the severe pain, turned over and climbed to the top of the wall, cut down the surrounding Japanese soldiers, and shouted to move forward.Seeing how powerful the general is, all the Zhejiang soldiers blushed, and rushed up the tower in a swarm. The Ming army who went up kicked over the Japanese flag, and planted the Daming dragon flag on the tall tower of Hanmao Gate. The Japanese army was overwhelmed by this momentum and retreated in panic. The general of the Japanese army defending this section of the city wall was Goto Jungen. Under the severe blows of Zu Chengxun and Luo Shangzhi, he lost several important ministers of the Goto family and several Goto family members such as Ota Jizheng, Ejuro, and Qing Fangxin in a short period of time. Hundreds of soldiers——What's more dangerous is that Hanmaomen is no longer under the control of the Japanese army. The impenetrable Pyongyang city defenses finally showed their first cracks. Li Rubai was overjoyed and urged the army to move forward.Luo Shangzhi and others were fighting bloody battles in the front, while their Liaodong Army was busy beheading people in the back to fight for success—Li Rusong forgot all the instructions he had given them before the battle. Wu Dao's heart was bleeding. His fief was only 15,000 shi. This time he brought more than 700 people to North Korea. He already lost his family, but in such a short time, he lost almost half of it.Goto found sadly that just now Governor Xiaonishi had almost used up all the reserve teams in Nancheng, and now he has no soldiers to use. The fall of Hanmao Gate in Nancheng has been noticed by the Japanese army headquarters—no way, the Ming soldiers who climbed to the top of the city began to learn from Luo Shangzhi, throwing down the Japanese army flag and replacing it with the Daming Dragon Banner, and the banner on Hanmao Gate for a while Piao Piao, as long as you are not color blind, you can tell what is going on. Xiao Xixing turned pale with fright, and immediately dispatched a garrison from the Qixing Gate to Nancheng for support. Besides, the Ming army attacking at the Seven Star Gate, in order to protect Li Rusong, the general who joined the ascending troops, under the command of Zhang Shijue, the artillery troops advanced to a place less than two hundred steps away from the Seven Star Gate. This distance is very dangerous. If you don't pay attention, you will be hit by the Japanese army from a high place, causing the loss of cannons and operators. But at this juncture, Zhang Shijue couldn't care less. The Ming army braved the fierce blows of bows, arrows and iron cannons from the huge rocks on the top of the city, followed Li Rusong to attack the city, and pushed all the Flang machine guns and extermination guns up.Fortunately, these two types of artillery have their own exclusive vehicles. You only need to lift the cannon body onto the vehicle, and then cover it with several layers of soaked quilts to form a simple siege vehicle. "fire!"
