632 B.C.: The first battle between Jin and Chu for hegemony, the Chengpu War broke out, and finally ended with the victory of Jin. 628 B.C.: Jin Wengong Chong'er passed away; in the same year, the Jin State attacked the Qin State's army who had returned from the expedition to the Song State in Xiaoshan in the same year, and the long-standing alliance between the two countries broke down. 625 B.C.: Qin launched a retaliatory offensive against Jin, captured Wangguan (place name), and dealt a blow to Jin's international arrogance for several consecutive years. 614 B.C.: Chu Zhuang King Xiong Lu succeeded to the throne and began his three-year dormant period, after which he became a blockbuster.

607 B.C.: The conflict between Duke Ling of Jin and the power minister Zhao Dun broke out, Zhao Chuan murdered the king in Taoyuan, and the power of Jin State fell into the hands of the new nobles. 606 B.C.: King Zhuang of Chu sent his army north to King Qin and asked Jiuding, and his ambition to dominate the Central Plains was clearly revealed. 597 BC: King Zhuang of Chu defeated the overlord of the Central Plains, the Jin State, in the Battle of Bicheng, marking the peak of the power of the Chu State. 591 BC: King Zhuang of Chu died. 589 BC: Qi State attacked Lu State, Jin Jinggong sent a large army to help, the two armies fought in Andi, and Jin State won a complete victory.

579 B.C.: After nearly half a century of rivalry between Jin and Chu, an alliance was held in the Song Dynasty and a nominal reconciliation was achieved. 575 BC: The third large-scale battle between Jin and Chu broke out in Yanling. The victory of this battle firmly established the status of the first military power in the Spring and Autumn Period. 574 BC: Duke Li of Jin joined forces with Luan Shu and others to design and kill the Que clan, which had been in power in Jin for a long time.
