Chapter 6 Chapter Six

On the tenth night of the siege, someone approached, but Jia Boye could not recognize who it was. Gabriel covered the sky above the inner courtyard, sifting through the sparse and weak light, and could only vaguely glimpse the figure of the person coming, and that person had a ridiculously large head.He moved forward carefully, trying not to step on the fallen Panamanian slaves, who didn't even care about the litter.Dirty mess and stench can be seen everywhere here, people who haven't eaten for many days can even smell the smell of death.Hunger hardened their stomachs and hardened their hearts.Like everyone else, Jia Boye cursed the discomfort of turning his stomach and intestines. This feeling reminded him every second that the last bite of meat came from the horse with its pigtails, and that was already five days ago. up.

When the man got closer and closer, Jia Boye noticed that he was wearing a high helmet with colorful feathers under his armpit, and there were large bloodstains on the tights on his upper body.As for the swollen head, it should be because of the bandages. The whole head only sees a pair of proud eyes, a hooked nose, and slightly parted lips. "Mr. Jia Boye!" His voice was so low that he could barely hear it.Jia Boye was still sitting on the barrel that was used as a sofa, and nodded his head as a greeting: "Mr. Juan, what wind brought you here! Look, you can get out of bed now. Brother Bartholomew bandaged you well and thickly, so you won't be afraid of any more stones."

Juan Pizarro tensed up at the sarcastic greeting, his eyes burning with anger. They looked at each other for a long time, Jia Boye didn't even blink his eyelids.Instead, Juan raised his right hand and said calmly: "Mr. Jia Boye, I'm here to make peace with you." He muttered in an extremely awkward tone. Seeing that Jia Boye didn't react at all, Juan said intermittently: "I know the reason why you want to assassinate Gonzalo...and I won't blame you...Mr. Jia Boye, originally, falling in love with a woman is not a big deal to me...but my wife came so miraculously In my life, you know that too...and I, love her so much, it's as if God Himself betrothed her to me...My gentle Yin Qi often talks to me about her best friend...that is yours ...That one, I was almost molested by my brother...Speaking of which, Gonzalo is sometimes too impulsive and thoughtless."

Jia Boye compared gently, interrupting Juan's embarrassing confession: "My lord, don't scare me!" He said with a begging tone, "I still can't let go of what your brother has done. I'm afraid I'll get another chance next time, whether it's my emotions or my I am so proud that I will not let him go easily..." "In this case, I will stand in your way, because both my emotions and my pride will tell me to do it. No matter how wrong Gonzalo is, he is my brother after all, and I love him... and, It may surprise you that my brother loves me just as desperately, but sometimes I worry about him because I seem to be the only one who can hold him back from his descent into the devil's abyss."

"Fortunately, there are angels holding him back!" Juan wanted to go on, but a burst of unbearable pain distorted his face. Then he said with sarcasm and sarcasm: "Mr. Jia Boye, that's fine. If you insist on killing him, let me block it for him. I'm afraid I can't think of any other better way right now?" Jia Boye just made a "forget it" gesture as a response. But this time, it was Juan's squeezed and deformed mouth that moved strangely, as if trying to force a smile. "Now let's think about our current situation." Juan continued, and at the same time moved closer so that Jia Boye could hear his words clearly, "I made peace with you, in order to be able to fight this tough battle together... Enando It has been decided that we will fight side by side and attack that castle. This is also your suggestion...Although I am currently injured, Enando still named me a general and lead the officers under him...I will lead everyone in this battle Charge into battle!"

"Great." Jia Boye agreed, "but please don't make the same mistakes as our warlord, and don't underestimate the enemy. I know their general is called Vera Omar, who is smart and tenacious. Especially him Swearing to the death to kill all of us, this belief gives him a lot of strength. Mr. Juan, don't take chances and think that he has some weaknesses. Even if his arms are cut off by you, those two I can even wrestle with you with my arms!" Juan tried his best to speak his mind, despite the difficulty of opening and closing his jaw under the bandage.Jia Boye noticed that in the cool evening wind, beads of sweat were dripping on his forehead:

"Mr. Jia Boye, I didn't take chances... That's why I found you. You have energy that I don't have... Therefore, if I fail, I hope you can lead everyone instead of me." Juan seemed to want to let Jia Boye understand what he meant, and suddenly pushed the high-topped helmet into Jia Boye's hand. "I wish this iconic helmet could be worn on your head... I couldn't wear it because I was injured. And if you have this helmet with plumes, then the soldiers will know Where are you going?" "Mr. Juan, you think highly of me! I'm really not used to it at all. Are you sure that your two brothers agree with you?"

Juan barely raised his painful head to meet Jia Boye's sly gaze. The next words that came out of his mouth were almost inaudible: "I've already told you that I'm here to make peace...and to appoint my generals..." He paused, and then said: "Mr. Jia Boye, our countrymen want you to join! Some people believe that God sent you, and believe that the Virgin Mary guards you... Others think that God has nothing to do with all this, but they think you got it from the Indians. Magic...your performance that night left a deep impression on their hearts..." "In the name of all the saints, how can you believe these supernatural claims?"

"I saw it with my own eyes like they did...but not what everyone saw yesterday...but from Tumbes Beach when we first arrived...you wouldn't have survived that day." Jia Boye responded with a sneer: "I don't care if God appointed me or not, this is just a glimpse of my life... As for your guess, I don't think it's anything, the Incas are just like you or me, they are living people, with high There are also short, physically and mentally traumatized, and it's all because of our relationship." "It doesn't matter if it's God's will or it's possessed by the devil?" Juan became angry, his breath short and rapid, "The fact is that our compatriots respect and fear you, and think you can Seek good luck and avoid bad luck...they all feel that without you, we can't win!"

"Yesterday they still thought it was because of me that they lost everything!" "Mr. Jia Boye, do you accept my invitation?" "If I say no, then prison is waiting for me, isn't it?" "I'm here to make peace with you, not to threaten you." Jia Boye carefully put the high-topped helmet on the wine barrel, played with the bright red feathers on the high-topped helmet intentionally or unintentionally, and then asked: "How do you plan to break into the castle?" Juan cleared his throat and closed his eyes.It took Jia Boye a while to realize that he was laughing.

"Of course in the way you think is best!" Jia Boye laughed, almost like an accomplice, and kicked the ground with the heel of his boots, kicking up dust. "As far as I'm concerned, we were able to swindle the victory. Convince Vila Umar and his generals that we were ready to flee..." He represented the castle by a small mound of earth, and circled it with the heel of his boot. "This is the Camonga Pass, located in the northwest, between the city and the castle. To get there, you have to climb over the mountain, which is extremely difficult. Because it is a typical canyon. The Incas will definitely kill us .However, if we can manage it, we can break through their defenses and go around the back of the castle. There are several doors there, and it should be easy to get in." "Therefore we shall..." "Mr. Juan, don't think too much! I can't change magic. The chance of winning is even smaller than the chance of us starving to death now!" "As far as the eye can see, there will be no feast tonight... so we will have more time to pray!" Looking at Juan Pizarro's heavy and chaotic footsteps when he left, Jia Boye was extremely confused in his heart. He had just accepted the invitation, without any real discussion. (Actually, deep down in his heart, he was as afraid of this fact as anyone else—he was invulnerable.) And he forgot to teach his hateful enemy openly. However, he has no regrets. Even, he felt very happy. The belly of the sky was getting white, and the Inca soldiers shouted non-stop like every night. Fifty cavalrymen bowed their knees under the watchful eyes of hundreds of Chachapoya and Canari mercenaries. Bartolomeo walked on the Among the tight ranks, he blessed the soldiers going out with the hand with his fingers connected. Juan's head was wrapped with a clean cloth, his chest and knee pads tightly wrapped his chest and legs, and he received the monk's prayers devoutly.Beside Juan, Gonzalo had a sullen face, his thick hair hanging down on his iron shoulder guards studded with raised gold carvings, and he opened his mouth in a forced prayer. A little further back, there was Enando standing in front of the infantry. In the future, only infantry can be used to garrison the camp.Enando looked around at the departure ceremony, and muttered involuntarily. He was the first to notice that Jia Boye had arrived at the entrance of the courtyard, followed by his white horse quietly. His left hand had slipped into and gripped the buckler, and his right held the scarlet-feathered visor against his double-leather ironcloth. Anando didn't even blink his eyes, but Gonzalo turned blue and prayed intermittently.Gonzalo's pupils dilated more and more, and his mouth stopped moving when he said the Our Father.Jia Boye thought he was going to get up.But Anando watched his brother menacingly with eager eyes.At this point, the prayers were over, and everyone went to fetch their horses. The cavalry turned their attention to Jia Boye. Some people nodded to Jia Boye in greeting, and some made the sign of the cross again.Even though everyone had pulled up the reins and prepared to go out, no one dared to approach him. When Enando helped Juan climb up the castrated horse, Gonzalo seemed to be forgotten, ready to go on his own. Jia Boye put on a high-top helmet and tied the hat strap tightly around his chin. "My friend, you were also included in my prayer just now! Although you thought no one would notice, I did see that you were also praying!" "You must not make it public! It will damage my reputation! Brother Bartholomew, anyway, you should be happy for me. Didn't you once tell me that you don't have to bow your knees to pray?" Brother Bartholomew placed the wooden cross on Jaberye's chest. He was exhausted, his eyes were almost sunken in their sockets, and his face was so thin that only his skin and bones remained. He looked ten years older than his actual age. "Be careful yourself, pay attention to the front, and also pay attention to the rear." Bartolomeo whispered, "Gonzalo was mad when he heard that Juan asked you to join. Don't offend him again." "Don't worry, I have always been recognized as protected and invulnerable, even God protects me!" "Don't be talkative! That won't help!" "Brother Bartholomew, if there is a God," Jia Boye said seriously, looking straight at Bartholomew, "today is the best time for him to convince me that he exists. I don't want him to bless me with nothing." Hurt, you know, I just do what I have to do..." "...and he's supposed to wipe out all the bad guys in the world at once, and Gonzalo better first, isn't he?" "My God, my good brother, sometimes I ask myself if you are God incarnate." Bartholomew replied very seriously: "My God is not a God who punishes people with a sharp edge and an eye for an eye, but a God who forgives people with love and tolerance. If you believe me, you'd better listen to him too .However, don’t forget to swing your sword when it’s urgent.” When Jia Boye opened his mouth and was about to reply with some sarcasm, Juan Pizarro walked towards them.Jia Boye read his words from his parched lips, and then he heard: "It's time, Mr. Jia Boye... I divided the cavalry into two groups. My brother led the second group." His eyes sought his approval, and Jia Boye nodded. "Then, God bless you!" At this time, the atmosphere was quite eerily quiet, as if in this way they could hear the beating of drums and shouts from the castle on the other side of the hill more clearly. All the cavalry went quietly to the gate of the square courtyard and blocked the exit with beams.Even the Kanari mercenaries who were noisy on weekdays did not say a word at this moment. When everyone was busy removing the beams and clearing the entrance and exit, Jia Boye took the opportunity to smile at Sai Batian.Sai Batian's neck and arms are still covered with bandages. But this time, the big black man didn't smile back at Jia Boye, his heavy face was covered with sadness, as if he was saying goodbye to someone forever. He walked towards Jia Boye's mount, stroked its chin, and it nodded slightly in response to him. "My dear brother, take good care of it, just like you take care of me." "I will definitely bring you the ointment, so that you can go out with me next time." Jia Boye said jokingly. "Good idea." Sai Batian grinned and smiled bleakly. Jia Boye sat up straight and stepped on the stirrup, roaring with all his might: "God Saint Jacob bless us to dine at the castle tonight!" Then, this time, the fifty cavalry behind him shouted in unison: "God Saint Jacob! God Saint Jacob!" They kept shouting as the horses leaped across the central square, kicking up dust behind them.Behind them, there were Canari mercenaries roaring and barking in the flying dust, like a group of hounds. As soon as the crowd jumped over the last wall of the square courtyard and reached the first platform at the foot of the mountain, they immediately encountered thousands of arrows whizzing down from their heads.Because the shooting range was too far, the arrow attack could not be effective. The arrow feathers bounced off the round shield and the bridles on both sides of the horse, and broke in response, without hurting the horse or cavalry. However, in front of them, there were three or even four rows of Inca soldiers blocking the mountain road on the west side of the city and across the platform.Juan turned to Jia Boye, his eyes clearly expressed the unspoken order. Jia Boye's sword was raised high, and he rushed forward with a shout.Yiza immediately jumped up and let go of her pace, as if she was waiting for this sentence. The horse's mane is fluttering in the wind, and it leaps forward, its feet do not reach the ground, and leaps over obstacles as if dancing, leading a group of cavalry in iron armor and flesh behind, and the Kanari tribe who shouted loudly at the back, with an ax in one hand and a shield in the other, with agility Running behind. For maybe a second or two, the Inca soldiers were leaning against each other, bows and arrows raised, a mace clutched in clenched hands. But everything happened too fast, faster than a stone throw. Before the stones had time to bounce off their breastplates or knee pads, the Inca soldiers watched with bulging eyes as the horses charged straight at them, their hoofs kicking into their chests like a puff of smoke that shocked them.Under the reflection of the sun, the shadows of swords and swords are like lightning. The Incas opened their mouths wide in pain, their swords pierced their bodies, their horseshoes smashed their internal organs, crushed their chests flat, their faces were crushed, and they could no longer hear the cry.The horse stepped on the corpses all over the ground and turned around quickly.Immediately afterwards, the Kanari tribe also entered the field, and the scene fell into a scuffle. The fighting became more and more fierce, and the Spaniards kept wielding their swords to kill the enemy, stepping on the dead to fight a way. The Inca soldiers' line of defense collapsed. They fled quickly after throwing their maces at the Spanish cavalry. But it didn't work. The vest and stirrups were stained with blood, and the horses rushed out of the bloody battlefield and galloped straight to the first turn of the mountain road, which was also beyond the reach of the catapult. Even though Jia Boye's face was covered with blood and sweat, his body was in pain from the constant beating and killing, and at the same time, the fiery breath in his chest was burning like flames, but he still kept shouting, asking everyone to follow him. He felt a deep sense of excitement, and all his world-weary thoughts and indifferent attitude towards the world were all thrown away, and he felt an endless power flowing in his body. "God Saint Jacob!" he roared again. In the response of the Spaniards, in the whistling of arrow feathers and the sound of falling stones, in the groans of the dying or the cheers of the victors, in the sound of fighting swords or trampling of horseshoes, Jia Boye vaguely It seemed as though all the mountains, all the rocks, and the whole earth agreed that he would raise his triumphant sword and win. But what they had just passed was the easiest one.Just as Jia Boye feared, the hillside of Kamonga was the most difficult test, consuming most of their troops. For about two hours, they climbed section after section of the hillside.Along the way, more than 20 roads are so narrow that only one horse can pass through them, and the road surface is loose, either collapsed or cracked. At this time, when all the Kanari people crouched under the shield like a nest of ants, or squeezed in the cracks of the fault, or hid on the road, they had to wait patiently for the rolling stones thrown from above the slope. Stop before you can move again. Jia Boye had an ominous premonition, and he noticed that fear had surfaced in everyone's heart.Because of hunger, everyone's panic and uneasiness weakened the strongest will to resist the enemy.A horse was hit in the nose by a falling stone, and painfully raised its front foot and stood up high.It slammed into the horse in front of it with its front feet, and at the same time left the cavalry on it and swayed from side to side. Thanks to the two Kanari tribesmen, otherwise the horse might fall into the endless ravine. At this time, the nearby horses were frightened and pushed, almost causing most of the cavalry and their mounts to roll off the cliff. "Get off the horse!" Jia Boye roared loudly, "Get off the horse, hold the horse's bit and let them bow their heads." But more and more people objected. Jia Boye changed his tone and assured them: "We will pass, we will pass, because we have to pass!" However, Juan's eyes still revealed doubts. In fact, the same question lingers in everyone's mind: Will the capture of the Kamonga Ridge be as tragic as the capture of the Wilkakonga Ridge? The Spaniards were also in a difficult situation. If Jia Boye hadn't relied on his tenacious willpower and love for Anna Maya, he would have died long ago. "It's a repeat of the past!" Juan muttered, closing his eyes as if it was a nightmare. They're on the high ground, we're on the low ground... lugging heavy gear. "No," Jia Boye lowered his voice so that only Juan could hear, "There is no one up there. Most of Vera Omar's army is deployed behind us." "May God know what you're talking about!" "I remember there was a flat spot before we reached the top of the mountain. Then we could mount our horses and head northwest, and the Incas thought we were going away from the castle, that we were running for our lives." Juan made the sign of the sign of the sign of the cross on his bandaged forehead for all the answers. "Beware of rocks!" Suddenly someone shouted, "Beware of rocks!" Jia Boye instinctively raised the round shield to protect Juan's head, which was only protected by bandages. First, Juan didn't have a top helmet on his head, and second, he couldn't wear a top helmet because of his injuries. "Jia Boye, protect yourself!" Juan ordered in a low voice. This time, the stones fell like hail and ice, and they were so dense that it seemed as if the whole mountain collapsed in front of our eyes. All the arms were drawn into the shields, but the round shield was still beaten to pieces by the stones, and the crowd screamed in panic, and the horses neighed plaintively to the sky in fright. But in the midst of the panic, the Incas, the Spaniards, and even Gonzalo all witnessed this scene: Jaboye and his white horse were still unscathed in the attack of falling stones like rain, and Although the other people covered their bodies with round shields and iron cloth shirts, their thighs, chests, and necks were still bruised and swollen from the stones! But Juan was safe and sound, hiding under Jia Boye's shield was as safe as hiding under the eaves. No one said a word, and everyone pursed their lips tightly, praying incessantly in their hearts. Finally, as Jia Boye predicted, the rain of stones stopped, and they reached the flat platform. There seemed to be no more than fifty Incas on their trail! They only dare to attack with catapults from a distance, but they don't take half a step closer.Weary horses can occupy the place simply by galloping back and forth. Jia Boye heard the words of the Incas shouting as they ran away. "Those Incas thought we'd be in Castile!" he said aloud. Hearing this sentence was as shocking as it was before the hail of bullets. The tense strings in everyone's hearts immediately relaxed and turned into wild laughter, and all the fatigue disappeared without a trace. "God Saint Jacob! God Saint Jacob!" The cavalry screamed wildly, then lowered their eyes and made the sign of the cross, as if they would rather not know the reason for their victory. At this time, Jia Boye felt chills. He foresees what will happen in the future, and each scene is as clear as he has already experienced it himself. About two or three hours in the afternoon, after going around many twists and turns, they finally arrived at an irregularly shaped platform with huge black rocks scattered on the road, leading to Saksayhuaman along the gentle slope. The rear of the castle. The stone walls there are composed of huge rocks, but they are seamlessly connected with each other. One cannot help but wonder how such a huge rock can be piled up with human strength.Strangely, there were no Inca soldiers defending here. Juan ordered the whole army to rest by a spring. The Kanari native soldiers were so happy that some even chased down wild rats.Even two alpacas that lost their way due to this war became the target of their pursuit.Because of the prohibition against lighting fires, they simply chop up their game and eat it alive. After a long time, the entire barracks was enveloped in a strange quiet atmosphere. But by eating large chunks of bloody meat and drinking raw, tasteless blood, soon even the extremely exhausted regained their strength and energy.Gonzalo was the first to break the silence, ordering everyone to prepare for the attack: "Brother, it's time. Wait, night is coming. The Canari people have scouted, and the channel between the defensive stone walls has been blocked, but, as we expected, the Incas did not expect us to come from here at all." Attack here, so no one is defending at all. I suggest that our good friend Mr. Jia Boye use his unusual method to lead the Kanari people to carve out a path first. At that time, they only need to make a signal, and we will attack immediately ...And, because your current situation, brother, is not suitable for leading troops to attack, I suggest that you and a dozen cavalry stay here as our backup in case of emergency." Gong Saluo's sarcastic words only caused Jia Boye to smile indifferently.Jia Boye and Juan's eyes intertwined, he put on the high helmet with bright red feathers again, and expressed his thoughts: "That's a good idea, too." Then Jia Boye quickly caught Gong Saluo's eyes, and the sight of Gong Saluo in his eyes made him feel the pleasure of revenge: because this handsome but cruel guy actually showed fear on his face. Jia Boye walked among the Kanari soldiers and approached the first anti-blocking pass.It didn't take long to break through this defensive wall, because no one was defending here. The Kanari people quietly moved down the rock on the wall, and Jia Boye also jumped on the horse at this time.Jia Boye kept quiet all the time, and drove Iza to walk in the labyrinth formed by the natural boulders. The tall stone walls guarded the walls and towers of the fortress. Jaboye was on the lookout for any cries from the Incas. But, nothing. No one saw him, and no one heard the pacing of his white horse. He walked up the hill that just shaded the beautiful stone walls of the castle.Jia Boye thought to himself that the flat platform should be in front of him, so he slowed down his walking speed and reached the edge of the bare grass.Beyond that is the foundation stone of the castle, where all the huge rocks are. Jia Boye's heart was beating violently. The Inca soldiers didn't find him, and no stones fell, and no arrow feathers shot at him.Not far to the left, there is a main city wall with a zigzag curve, and Jia Boye identified a trapezoidal entrance, which has been blocked by stones and logs on the grass.Passing through this gate is equivalent to sneaking into the center of Saksayhuaman Castle. He didn't hesitate at all, and confidently believed that victory was in sight, and immediately mounted his white steed, and galloped back to call on other compatriots. "Everyone mount!" He ordered within the range of Gonzalo's hearing, "There is no obstacle to the passage! Mr. Enando stayed in the city, they did not expect us to appear at all." As previously agreed, only Juan Pizarro and a group of cavalry remained in defense.Gong Salo and the other cavalry galloped their horses in the quietest way, following Jia Boye's white horse. They jumped over the obstacles, overtook the ranks of the Kanari, and attacked the tall trapezoidal gates. For a time, the world was shaken. The trumpet sounded loudly, and came from the round tower. There was a clamor on the city wall. What is jaw-dropping is that the platform at the trapezoidal entrance was still empty just now, and a hundred, two hundred, or even thousands of Inca soldiers appeared in front of them. Before Jia Boye had time to hold Yiza who was speeding, the sound of throwing stones was already resounding, like artillery bombardment. The stones fell like rain for a while, cut through the air, and made a whistling sound on Jia Boye's head. And behind him, the undefended cavalry screamed in pain after being hit by stones. And the horseshoe kicked the bouncing stone, raised its hind legs, and threw the cavalry on all fours. At this time, the Inca soldiers were already waiting to take them. Jia Boye swung his long sword, and with a roar, rushed forward to rescue them. His appearance somewhat frightened the soldiers defending the Sacsayhuaman Fortress, and the soldiers immediately retreated to the sides, watching the cavalry who had fallen off their horses climb back on their horses, or jumped on the mounts of their comrades and fled together. But the situation remains chaotic.Because the sudden attack of the Incas caught people off guard, it was difficult for the Canari soldiers to resist. The hand-to-hand combat between them and the Incas prevented the cavalry from retreating. Also, the ground is full of rocks and the horses have to be very careful.Soon, only Jia Boye's white horse was able to maintain a consistent galloping speed, ignoring the opponent's attack. How long this bloody encounter lasted, no one knows... What's more tragic is that their fighting spirit was frustrated by the sense of failure, and their energy was weakened by fasting. The Spaniards had already withdrawn from the first line of defense to find cover, even though Jia Boye shouted to them five or six times, asking them to fight again. Breaking through, still can't arouse their fighting spirit. But the stones kept falling down like a torrential rain, which frustrated their ambition and made them no longer as proud as they were before the siege. The cavalry repeatedly had to hold their mounts to prevent the horse from breaking its legs, so it was impossible to keep up with the speed of the white horse. About an hour later, they were exhausted, and as the sky was getting dark, Jia Boye came over to boost morale and asked everyone to make a final sprint. But as soon as he stopped, he heard shouting in his ears.Instinctively, Jia Boye thought that someone needed help, so he raised his shield, unexpectedly, it just blocked Gong Salo's sword that was trying to slice through his chest. "Traitor! Spy!" Gong Salo yelled, his eyes full of madness, "You finally showed your true colors! You must die, and lead everyone to jump into this trap!" "Mr. Gonzalo!" "Shut up! You son of a bitch, shut up! I saw it, everyone saw it, the Incas don't kill you. You know how to avoid their stones, you led us to Their sphere of influence allows them to annihilate us without any effort!" Before Jia Boye had time to defend himself, Gong Saluo had already mounted his horse, brandished his sword, and rushed towards Jia Boye: "My countrymen! My countrymen! This man is not St. Jacob, but a traitor, a devil! Don't follow him! Don't listen to him, he leads everyone to die!" After experiencing the panic, anxiety, frustration and disappointment in the battle, the cavalry looked at the two men helplessly, unable to make any choice between truth and madness. Some made the sign of the cross, some bandaged leg wounds, and some even pulled out arrows stuck in iron shirts or waistcoats. But at this moment, the galloping steps of the horse caught their attention and saved them from the dilemma of making a choice. It turned out that Juan and the remaining cavalry rushed to catch up with them. "Juan!" Gonzalo reproached him with undiminished anger, "My dear brother, you have to deal with a snake that will eat you! Jaboye wants to murder us! He is an incarnation." A terrible devil! The Incas have been prepared for it, and perhaps he has notified them... Come to think of it, we have never driven straight into the heart of the fortress. Be wise and return to Cuzco before dark!" "Mr. Juan!" Jaboye yelled, "don't listen to his nonsense! We have one last chance: the Inca soldiers are as tired as we are. We are dodging rocks to get exhausted, they are smashing them Tired and exhausted. And soon they will be out of stones! Even if I am left alone, please order me to fight with my back!" Without hesitation for a moment, Juan pointed his long sword in the direction of the castle, and then whipped his horse to gallop. The entire cavalry regiment hesitated for a moment, and immediately rushed to catch up, leaving only Gonzalo roaring in the distance. This time, after Jia Boye jumped over the first line of defense again, he galloped towards the hill. He identified a few steps formed by rocks, and his mount could easily climb up.He went around to the rear of the line of Inca soldiers, forcing them to fall back before they could turn their slings. The Spanish cavalry below, seeing this small victory, shouted with excitement and renewed hope in their hearts. For a while, Iza Baiju and the bright red feathers on the helmets of Jia Boye could be seen moving around in a melee, approaching the beautiful city wall from a distance. The Spaniards again cheered triumphantly. But not long after, the first rain of slingstones and arrow feathers fell from that city wall, hitting everyone on their bodies.Like everyone else, Jia Boye raised his shield to defend himself, and heard the sound of bang bang hitting the chest and armor. Immediately after a short and eerie silence, there was a sudden howl that screamed: "Juan! Juan! Wake up! Brother..." About a hundred steps away from Jia Boye, Juan Pizarro accidentally lost his balance, fell off his horse, and fell hard on a grass-covered boulder. The bandage on his head was knocked off, and his head became a bloody mess.Juan, busy with the enemy, inadvertently lowered the shield in his hand, exposing himself to the danger of bullets, so that he was hit by a stone and fell. Gonzalo had already knelt beside him and wept.He hugged Juan tightly to his chest like a baby, shaking him in vain. Jia Boye felt a knife stab into his chest coldly, almost making him stop breathing. He involuntarily drove Iza forward, but at the same time, all the cavalry surrounded Brother Pizarro for protection.Just as everyone ran away carrying Juan's body, Gong Saluo and Jia Boye passed by head-on, and Gong Saluo's handsome face was distorted with pain and hatred. "Jia Boye, you killed him, you killed my favorite brother!" Jia Boye didn't say anything, and all the hatred and ridicule towards Gong Saluo disappeared without a trace. And soon Gonzalo turned his back on him bitterly, sobbing sadly like a child. "Mr. Enando, it was not I who hit Juan with the stone, but it is true that I insisted on the last attack, and this time, like the previous ones, it was in vain! Gonzalo did have reason to think that I killed His brother!" Anando didn't answer. His thin and stoic face was reflected in the dim light.Weeping and whimpering came from the barracks next door, in which Gonzalo's cries and Bartholomew's murmured prayers could be heard. It took about four hours for everyone to walk down the platform of the castle, carrying Juan's body along the way, and there were many attacks from the Incas during the march, and returned to Okepata Square to join other people guarding the rear.Jia Boye's exhausted body had lost any feeling, even the feeling of hunger disappeared. His fingers were numb from the cold, and his palms were swollen from holding the sword for so long.He also couldn't see his surroundings clearly. "Why do you want to do this?" "Are you done yet?"
