After Tang Taizong read "The Western Regions of the Tang Dynasty", he believed that Xuanzang was a rare talent... The long speech Haizang knelt down to Emperor Taizong of Tang Dynasty was truly heartfelt, and Taizong was speechless after listening to it, and was deeply moved by Xuanzang's devotion to Buddhism... In midsummer, the weather is hot, the smoked wind is blowing, the bamboo shadows are swaying, and the jasmine flowers outside the window send in strands of fragrance... Bian Ji put down his pen and took a deep breath of the fragrance of the flower, and asked, "Master, why did you plant jasmine flowers in the temple?"

Xuanzang put down the scroll and said, "Oh, jasmine is the flower of Buddha. It is said that it is the flower of Buddha's enlightenment. Almost all the temples in Tianzhu plant this flower, because jasmine is fragrant and holy." The discriminator listened and nodded. Xuanzang and Bianji are sweating and writing "Da Tang Western Regions".Xuanzang not only dictated, but also handed over many diaries and materials recorded on the westward journey to Bianji for sorting out. Because Bianji is extremely clever and uniquely sensitive, he didn't need Xuanzang to bother, and the progress of writing "Da Tang Western Regions" was very fast.

Xuanzang wrote books with Bianji in the morning, and went to guide the translation of scriptures in the afternoon. He was very happy to have such a handy disciple. A great book was born. After the hard work of the master and apprentice, "Da Tang Western Regions" was finally completed. The book records in detail the Buddhism, history, culture, geography, customs, scenery, folk customs, legends, politics, and economy of countries in the Western Regions... In particular, the description of Tianzhu's history, politics, culture, Buddhism, etc. is more detailed. After the book was completed, Bian Ji wrote highly praised words for Xuanzang:

Thinking about thousands of years is like witnessing, and seeing thousands of miles is like traveling; what you don't hear in the past, what you haven't recorded in the previous ones.To the point of virtue and Taoism, the king of the special custom, the pure wind blows the fan, there is nothing outside the wilderness, and the topography of Shusi. On this day, Xuanzang came to Yuhua Palace with the machine.Xuanzang presented "Da Tang Western Regions" to Tang Taizong. Tang Taizong was very happy, read the scroll for several days, and gave Xuanzang a text: The provincial book has the intention of coming. The mage has always set a high standard, and he has been out of the dust early.Go to the other shore in a treasure boat, search for wonderful ways and open up Dharma gates, expound great ideas, and cleanse all sins. That's why the cloud of kindness wants to roll, and the shade of Shu is empty; the sun of wisdom will be dim, and the bright light will shine on the eight poles.Shu Lang is the only one who is a mage? !I am shallow in learning and humble in mind, and I am still confused about things. Besides, Buddhism is subtle, how can I look up and fathom it?Please refer to the scriptures, not what I have heard.

It is also said that those who newly write "Western Regions" should read it by themselves.Emperor Zangshang. When Xuanzang saw the words "Dang Zi Phi Lan", he was very happy, so he said to Bian Ji Yi: "It seems that the emperor attaches great importance to this book." Bian Ji also said happily: "I hope to be appreciated by the emperor." After Bianji finished "The Western Regions of the Tang Dynasty", he was often away from the Institute of Translation, and he didn't even tell Xuanzang.Xuanzang had no choice but to let Pu Guang and other writers be the writers.

After Tang Taizong read "The Western Regions of the Tang Dynasty", he felt more and more that Xuanzang was a rare talent, so he announced him to the Yuhua Palace and asked him to return to secular life and enter politics again, but Xuanzang still politely refused up. When Xuanzang heard Taizong say: "Mage has both ability and integrity. In my opinion, it is a pity not to enter politics." Xuanzang knelt down anxiously and said: "Your Majesty, with your talent, you can be said to be unsurpassed in the world; in terms of your virtue, you can be called the sun, the moon, and the Big Dipper. You alone are enough to guide and latitude the world, and you can control the eight countries, not to mention that there are a large group of sages around you! There are not many Zang, and there are not many without Xuanzang. Your Majesty is compassionate to talents and loves benevolence. The poor monk has received it. Your Majesty thinks it is a pity that the poor monk does not go into politics, but it is even more regrettable that the poor monk abandons Buddhism. Xuanzang has been studying Buddhism since he was young. I have traveled hard all my life on the journey, and I really can’t bear to let go. Besides, although the politics of a country is important, it cannot live without Buddhism! I hope His Majesty will understand Xuanzang and support Xuanzang’s long-cherished wish. Xuanzang will never forget His Majesty’s great kindness Germany."

The long speech Xuanzang knelt down to Emperor Taizong was truly heartfelt, and Taizong was speechless after listening to it, and was deeply moved by Xuanzang's devotion to Buddhism.Taizong finally made up his mind to respect Xuanzang's own wish, and no longer asked him to return to secular life from politics, so he said cordially: "The mage invites you. Since the mage doesn't want to return to vulgarity, I will obey." The ministers and the prince sitting on the side were very moved when they saw it. Changsun Wuji said: "Mages can come more in the future."

This is exactly what Taizong wanted, so he said: "The mage can come to the palace to translate the scriptures, and chat with me in my spare time. I am very interested in Buddhism." "Xuanzang obeyed the order." Therefore, Xuanzang returned to Chang'an with Taizong, and lived in Hongyuan, who lived in the palace arranged by Taizong for him, while translating Buddhist scriptures and speaking to Taizong. Taizong also hoped that with Xuanzang, a living Bodhisattva, praying by his side, his body might be in good health.
