不管是写作，还是写作业，都得听歌，这是蒋方舟的习惯。蒋方舟大都听英文歌曲，写完每个小说，要鸣谢不同的歌者。比如写完，她要鸣谢的是谢妮娜西门的《Feeling good》，和南方小鸡的《Not ready to make nice》。现在就在这正式鸣谢了！ 蒋方舟从八九岁懂得听歌开始，就听英文歌，中文歌不用专门听，商场歌，的士歌，电视歌，短信歌，校广播站歌，不听也会往耳朵里跑。蒋方舟不知道自己听了多少歌曲，最近一听到英文歌，就用手在自己周围划大圈，得意洋洋夸大其词地说："我所有英文歌都听过，世界上所有的英文歌我都听过。"这个"世界"，指她周围的小世界。就是说，凡是周围的人说得上来的，她全部都听过。她说："我发现英文的爱情歌，很少唱爱情中的阴谋诡计，《爱情三十六计》这种，是不存在的。这一点跟中文歌不同。" 吃中午饭的时候，蒋方舟就在碟机里塞一只影碟，一边吃一边看。五六岁的时候是看动画片，主要是迪斯尼和梦工厂的，如《仙履奇缘》、《小鸡快跑》之类。不过她很快就开始看文艺片，商业片和另类的电影也看，美剧日剧也看。十年下来，看过的电影总有两三千部。大多是外语片。她说："过了一些年，我发现每个电影都有一些我不喜欢的地方，我至今觉得没有"讨厌点"的电影，应该是《几乎成名》。" 自从有了看碟的习惯，蒋方舟几乎不看电视节目。 翻译、朗诵，偶尔客串 刚上高一时，蒋方舟参加了年级的朗诵比赛，她背了一首余光中的诗，自己觉得抑扬顿挫还不错。比赛时，她抽签抽到第一个，朗诵之后，就坐在那儿听别人的。她说："我完全被吓倒。"因为其他选手准备得格外充分，有个女生还穿上汉服，朗诵《行路难》，特别飒爽，像女扮男装混进书院的祝英台。蒋方舟那次得到了全场最低分，但她从此知道，在华师一，任何学生活动，从租服装，到请媒体，每个环节都是学生亲历亲为，而且要高质量地完成。不久之后，蒋方舟就成为"学生博雅论坛"的第二期主讲人，还成为武汉市"楚天杯"诗歌朗诵比赛的评委。 写作没有秘密 被"诱骗"上写作之路 在武汉崇文书城举办的一次讲座上，蒋方舟梳着两条辫子，手腕戴一串女孩们最喜爱的水晶手链。她背后的屏幕上，映出"纳尼亚传奇"的背景，上面写着几个大字：在衣橱后面的世界做国王，这个正是她演讲的题目。蒋方舟提到儿时的一个小故事，自己曾躲在一个小衣橱，那里静悄悄的，只有自己一个人，顿时感觉那个衣橱就是自己的世界，而长大后，自己的世界则变成了文学。 蒋方舟在文学王国里的第一个脚印，却归功于母亲一次著名的"诱骗"：法律规定中国小学生在小学毕业之前都必须写一部书，否则会被警察叔叔捉起来。蒋方舟居然上当了，小时候只要听到警笛声就会心虚，所以脑子里整天想着怎么完成小说。 "诱骗"这样的家教方法成就了一个天才少女作家，却也说明了蒋方舟的乖巧，不像她最初出道时的童言无忌呢。 从在自己的王国里驰骋，到成为国王，蒋方舟已经是很自如地写作。不过想起给《南方都市报》和《新京报》写专栏的经历，她似乎还"心有余悸"，"写专栏就像家庭作业，每天都得交，而且那时学习很紧张"，蒋方舟坦言，为了写专栏，每天要看很多书，堆起来都有一人高！ 很多同学写作时总觉得无话可说，蒋方舟说："写作最重要的是有双发现的眼睛！勿以事小而不为之！"其实，身边的小事情就是很好的素材，缺少的是发现事情价值的观察力。她写过一次火车上逃票的事，这当然是好多人看来无意义甚至不光彩的一件事，然而她却感受到自己在东躲西藏中，内心深处的一种尊严。蒋方舟说，我们小孩子很少来关注国计民生、环保问题，我觉得真正应该写的也有兴趣写下去的就是自己关心的问题，像我第一部书里面最满意的一篇文章《亲嘴大王》里的故事，因为我觉得那些东西鸡毛蒜皮的，才是最真实可爱的。 所以蒋方舟很认真地建议家长，千万别把自己的评判标准强加给孩子，写作内容是否有意义，只能由孩子自己来判断。 要想当上文学王国的国王，应该有足够的自信去操纵故事，蒋方舟在写作过程中，经常会受到各种思想的干扰，认为自己写的内容没意义，或者风格不对，最终导致半途而废。因此，自信至关重要。至少可以让坏文章也写完成哦。 蒋方舟从小学三年级以后，就从来没有休过一个寒假或暑假。通常是暑假写新书，寒假做修改。寒假时间短，她只是坐火车回老家吃年饭时休息一下，其余时间都在写作。上高中后的寒假，她连回老家吃年饭都不肯了，要一个人留在家里写书。这下所有亲戚都不同意了。他们觉得不近情理："全体中国人都在过年，喝酒聚会放鞭炮，哪有女孩子一个人单独过年的道理？"蒋方舟说："我寒假只有20天，坐火车去一天，回来一天，吃饭一天，回来了我要把小说从头到尾读一遍，慢慢进入情节，酝酿感情，又是一天。我一共耽误了四天。我寒假没有做一天作业，开学了补功课又是多少天。"亲戚就理解地说："好好，我们想得开。"蒋爸蒋妈还是要回老家的，就任由蒋方舟的意思，不管她了。父母回老家之前，就开始安顿蒋方舟。在她周围全部摆上食物：啤酒、红酒、花生米、卤菜、水果、瓜子、糖果、核桃仁……饺子包好，想吃就下，火锅煮好一大锅，想吃按一下开关。蒋方舟基本上在食物的包围中写东西，她笑称自己是"空巢老人"。
