See if you are an ugly monster or a fairy-like beauty." 木婉清这一惊当真非同小可，自己曾在师父之前立下毒誓，倘若南海鳄神伸手来强揭面幕，自己自然无法杀他，难道能嫁给此人？忙道：“你是武林中的成名高人，岂能作这等卑鄙下流之事？” 南海鳄神冷笑道：“我是恶得不能再恶的大恶人，作事越恶越好。老子生平只有一条规矩，乃是不杀无力还手之人。此外是无所不为，无恶不作。你乖乖的自己除下面幕来，不必麻烦老子动手。”木婉清颤声道：“你当真非看不可？”南海鳄神怒道：“你再罗里罗唆，就不但除你面幕，连你全身衣衫也剥你妈个精光。老子不扭断你脖子，却扭断你两只手、两只脚，这总可以罢？” 木婉清心道：“我杀他不得，惟有自尽。”向段誉使个眼色，叫他赶快逃生。段誉摇了摇头，只见南海鳄神钢髯抖动，“嘿”的一声，伸出鸡爪般的五指，便去抓她面幕。 木婉清一掀袖中机括，噗噗噗，三枝短箭如闪电般激射而出，一齐射中南海鳄神小腹。哪知跟着拍拍拍三声响，三枝箭都落在地下，似乎他衣内穿着甚么护身皮甲。木婉清身子一颤，又是三枝毒箭射出，两枝奔向他胸膛，第三枝直射面门。射向他胸膛的两枝毒箭仍是如中硬革，落在地下。第三枝箭将到面门，南海鳄神伸出中指，轻轻在箭杆上一弹，那箭登时飞得无影无踪。 木婉清抽出长剑，便往自己颈中抹去，只是重伤之后，出手不快，南海鳄神一把抢过，掷在地下，嘿嘿两声冷笑，说道：“我的规矩，只是不杀无力还手之人，你射我六箭，那是向我先动手了。我要先看看你的脸蛋，再取你小命。这是你自己先动手的，可怪不得我坏了规矩。” 段誉叫道：“不对！”南海鳄神转头道：“怎么？”段誉道：“你是英雄好汉，不能欺侮身受重伤的女子。”南海鳄神道：“她向我连射六枝毒箭，你没瞧见么？是身受重伤的女子欺侮英雄好汉，并不是英雄好汉欺侮身受重伤的女子。”段誉道：“这还是不对。”南海鳄神怒道：“怎么还是不对？放屁！”段誉道：“你的规矩，乃是'不杀无力还手之人'这八个字，是不是？”南海鳄神圆睁豆眼，道：“不错！”段誉道：“这八个字能不能改？”南海鳄神怒道：“老子的规矩定了下来，自然不能改。”段誉道：“一个字都不能改？”南海鳄神道：“半个字也不能改。”段誉道：“倘若改了，那是甚么？”南海鳄神怒道：“那是乌龟儿子王八蛋！” 段誉道：“很好，很好！你没有打木姑娘，木姑娘却放箭射你，这并不是'还手'，这叫做'先下手为强'。倘若你出手打她，她重伤之下，决计没有招架还手之力。因此她是有力偷袭，无力还手。你如杀她，那便是改了你的规矩，你如改了规矩，那便是乌龟儿子王八蛋。”他幼读儒经佛经，于文义中的些少差异，辨析甚精，甚么“是不为也，非不能也”，甚么“白马非马，坚石非石”，甚么“有相无性，非常非断”，钻研得一清二楚，当此紧急关头，抓住了南海鳄神一句话，便跟他辩驳起来。 南海鳄神狂吼一声，抓住了他双臂，喝道：“你胆敢骂我是乌龟儿子王八蛋！”叉开五指，便要伸向他头颈。 段誉道：“你如改了规矩，便是乌龟儿子王八蛋。倘若规矩不改，便不是乌龟儿子王八蛋。你爱不爱做乌龟儿子王八蛋，全瞧你改不改规矩。” 木婉清见他生死系于一线，在这如此凶险的情境之下，仍是“乌龟儿子王八蛋”的骂个不休，心想南海鳄神必定狂性大发，扭断了他脖子，心下一阵难过，眼泪夺眶而出，转过了头，不忍再看。 不料南海鳄神给他这几句话僵住了，心想我如扭断他的脖子，便是杀了一个无力还手之人，岂非成了乌龟儿子王八蛋？一对小眼瞪视着他，左手渐渐使劲。段誉的臂骨格格作响，几欲断折，痛得几欲晕去，大声道：“我无力还手，你快杀了我罢！”南海鳄神道：“我才不上你的当呢，你想叫我做乌龟儿子王八蛋，是不是？”说着提起他的身子，重重往地下摔落。段誉只跌得眼前一片昏黑，似乎五脏六腑都碎裂了。 南海鳄神喃喃的道：“我不上当！我不杀你这两个小鬼。”一伸手，抓住木婉清身上所披的绿缎斗篷，嘶的一声，扯将下来。木婉清惊呼一声，缩身向后。南海鳄神扬手挥出，那斗篷飞将起来，乘风飘起，宛似一张极大的荷叶，飘出山崖，落向澜沧江上，飘飘荡荡的向下游飞去。南海鳄神狞笑道：“你不取下面幕，老子再剥你的衣衫！” 木婉清向段誉招了招手，道：“你过来。”段誉一跛一拐的走到她身前，凄然摇头。木婉清转头向他，背脊向着南海鳄神，低声道：“你是世上第一个见到我容貌的男子！”缓缓拉开了面幕。 段誉登时全身一震，眼前所见，如新月清晖，如花树堆雪，一张脸秀丽绝俗，只是过于苍白，没半点血色，想是她长时面幕蒙脸之故，两片薄薄的嘴唇，也是血色极淡，段誉但觉她楚楚可怜，娇柔婉转，哪里是一个杀人不眨眼的女魔头？ 木婉清放下面幕，向南海鳄神道：“你要看我面貌，须得先问过我丈夫。” 南海鳄神奇道：“你已嫁了人么？你丈夫是谁？” 木婉清指着段誉道：“我曾立过毒誓，若有哪一个男子见到了我脸，我如不杀他，便得嫁他。这人已见了我的容貌，我不愿杀他，只好嫁他。” 段誉大吃一惊，道：“这……这个……” 南海鳄神一呆，转过头来。段誉见他一双如蚕豆般的小眼向自己从上至下、又从下至上的细看，只给他瞧得心中发毛，背上发冷，只怕他狂怒之下，扑上来便扭断自己脖子。 忽听南海鳄神“啧啧啧”的赞美数声，脸现喜色，说道：“妙极，妙极！快快转过身来！”段誉不敢违抗，转过身来。南海鳄神又道：“妙极，妙极！你很像我，你很像我！” 不管他说甚么话，都不及“你很像我”这四字令段誉与木婉清如此诧异，二人均想：“这话莫名其妙之至，你武功高强，容貌丑陋，像你甚么啊？何况还加上一个'很'字？” 南海鳄神一跳，跃到了段誉身边，摸摸他后脑，捏捏他手脚，又在他腰眼里用力揿了几下，咧开了一张嘴，哈哈大笑，道：“你真像我，真的像我！”拉住了他手臂，道：“跟我去罢！”段誉摸不着半点头脑，问道：“你叫我去哪里？”南海鳄神道：“跟着我去便是。快快叩头！求我收你为弟子。你一求，我立即答允。” 这一下当真大出段誉意料之外，嗫嚅道：“这个……这个……” 南海鳄神手舞足蹈，似乎拾到了天下最珍贵的宝贝一般，说道：“你手长足长，脑骨后凸，腰胁柔软，聪明机敏，年纪不大，又是男人，真是武学奇材。你瞧，我这后脑骨，不是跟你一般么？”说着转过身来。段誉摸摸自己后脑，果觉自己的后脑骨和他似乎生得相像，哪料到他说“你很像我”，只不过是两人的一块脑骨相同。 南海鳄神笑吟吟的转身，说道：“咱们南海一派，向来有个规矩，每一代都是单传，只能收一个徒儿。我那死了的徒儿'小煞神'孙三霸，后脑骨远没你生得好，他学不到我一成本事，死得很好，一干二净，免得我亲手杀他，以便收你这个徒儿。” 段誉不禁打了个寒噤，心想这人如此残忍毒辣，只见到有人资质较好，便要杀了自己徒儿，以便另换弟子，别说自己不愿学武，便是要学武功，也决计不肯拜这等人为师。但自己倘若拒绝，大祸便即临头，正当无计可施之际，南海鳄神忽然大喝：“你们鬼鬼祟祟的干甚么？都给我滚过来！” 只见树丛之中钻出十几个人来，瑞婆婆、平婆婆、那使剑汉子都在其内。原来南海鳄神一上崖顶，段誉不能再掷石阻敌，这一干人便乘机攀了上来。 这些人伏在树丛之中，虽都屏息不动，却那里逃得过南海鳄神的耳朵？他乍得段誉这等良材美质，心中高兴，一时倒也不发脾气，笑嘻嘻的向瑞婆婆等横了一眼，喝道：“你们上来干甚么？是来恭喜我老人家收了个好徒儿么？” 瑞婆婆向木婉清一指，说道：“我们是来捉拿这小贱人，给伙伴们报仇。” 南海鳄神怒道：“这小姑娘是我徒儿的老婆，谁敢拿她？他妈的，都给我滚开！” 众人面面相觑，均感诧异。 段誉大着胆子道：“我不能拜你为师。我早有了师父啦。”南海鳄神大怒，喝道：“你师父是谁？他的本领还大得过我么？”段誉道：“我师父的功夫，料想你半点也不会。这《周易》中的'卦象'、'系辞'，你懂么？这'明夷'、'未济'的道理，你倒说给我听听。”南海鳄神搔了搔头皮，甚么“卦象”、“系辞”，甚么“明夷”、“未济”，果然连听也没听见过，可不知是甚么神奇武功。 段誉见他大有为难之色，又道：“看来这些高深的本事你都是不会的了。因此老英雄的一番好意，我只有心领了，下次我请师父来跟你较量较量，且看谁的本事大。倘若你胜过了我师父，我再拜你为师不迟。” 南海鳄神怒道：“你师父是谁？我还怕了他不成？甚么时候比武？” 段誉原是一时缓兵之计，没料到他竟会真的订约比武，正踌躇间，忽听得远处传来一阵尖锐悠长的铁哨声，越过数个山峰，破空而至。这哨声良久不绝，吹哨者胸中气息竟似无穷无尽、永远不需换气一般。崖上众人初听之时，也不过觉得哨声凄厉，刺人耳鼓，但越听越是惊异，相顾诧愕。 南海鳄神拍了拍自己后脑，叫道：“老大在叫我，我没空跟你多说。你师父甚么时候跟我比武？在甚么地方？快说，快说！” 段誉吞吞吐吐的道：“这个……我可不便代我师父订甚么约会。你一走，这些人便将我们二人杀了，我怎能……怎能去告知我师父？”说着向瑞婆婆等人一指。 南海鳄神头也不回，左手反手伸出，已抓住那使剑汉子的胸口，身向左侧，右手五根手指揿住他头盖，左手右转，右手左转，双手交叉一扭，喀喇一声，将那汉子的脖子扭断了。那人脸朝背心，一颗脑袋软软垂将下来，他右手已将长剑拔出了一半，出手也算极快，但剑未出鞘，便已身死。 这汉子先前与木婉清相斗，身子矫捷，曾挥剑击落她近身而发的毒箭，但在南海鳄神这犹似电闪的一扭之下，竟无半点施展余地，旁观众人无不吓得呆了。南海鳄神随手一抖，将他尸身掷在一旁。瑞婆婆手下三名大汉齐声虎吼，扑将上来。南海鳄神右足连踢三脚。三名大汉高高飞起，都摔入谷中去了。惨呼声从谷中传将上来，群山回响，段誉只听得全身寒毛直竖。瑞婆婆等无不吓得倒退。南海鳄神笑道：“喀喇一响，扭断了脖子，好玩，好玩。老子扭一个脖子不够，还要扭第二个。哪一个逃得慢的，老子便扭断他的脖子。” 瑞婆婆、平婆婆等吓得魂飞魄散，飞快的奔到崖边，纷纷攀援而下。 南海鳄神连声怪笑，向段誉道：“你师父有这本事吗？你拜我为师，我即刻教你这门本事。你老婆武功不错，她如不听你话，你喀喇一下，就扭断了她的脖子……” 突然间铁哨声又作，这次却是叽叽、叽叽的声音短促，但仍是连续不绝。南海鳄神叫道：“来啦，来啦！你奶奶的，催得这么紧。”向段誉道：“你乖乖的等在这里，别走开。”急步奔出，往崖边纵身跳了下去。 段誉又惊又喜：“他这一跳下去，可不是死了么？”奔到崖边看时，只见他正一纵一跃的往崖下直落，一堕数丈，便伸手在崖边一按，身子跃起，又堕数丈，过不多时，已在谷口的白云中隐没。
