There are ten students in the Department of Foreign Languages at National Taiwan University, and the main courses are still taught by two Japanese professors. They came to the department office from the end, and I moved the books to the library downstairs. Never said hello.Soon there was one remaining, and he was sent back to Japan the following year. I always go back to Qingtian Street on weekends. Uncle Ma often treats new professors from mainland China to dinner in the restaurant of National Taiwan University Hospital, some of whom are also friends of my father. The chef was just invited by National Taiwan University from the mainland, and he is very famous in Taipei. At that time, there were almost no open restaurants with mainland flavors, so it was a pleasure to go to the National Taiwan University Hospital to eat.

Sometimes, I also go to Ge's home for a home-cooked dinner. At that time, Yilie and Junxian became obsessed with bridge (they later represented the Taiwan Sugar and Taipower bridge teams, played all over Taiwan, and were constant victors). When I was in the fourth year of university, I studied in a fellowship with several teaching assistants of the Polytechnic Institute. Of course, they were not skilled in the art, but they asked Luo Yuchang to be in a group with me and cooperated patiently. Sometimes Gosang would form a table with other students when he was free at home.I devoted myself to the study with an attitude of concentration, and followed them to read some special books. I was very interested until I moved to Taichung and stopped in summer.

One weekend in April of that year, I went to Ge's house again. As soon as he entered, Junxian said, let's take a look at Yilie's room.I said, "Hasn't he already moved to the dormitory of Taisugar?" At this moment, Gosang came out from the other room and opened the paper sliding door of that room. I was really surprised by the sight in front of me: on the floor of the eight tatami mats, clusters of golden flowers bloomed all over the place. Withering Chick: It turns out that Gosang has been mysteriously busy these days, looking forward to the first batch of artificially hatched Laihang chickens. We are fortunate to be the first witnesses of this dramatic success! These are hand-nailed wooden boxes, pulled light bulbs and hatched at a fixed temperature The chicks are simply gold for the perennially hungry Chinese!

From this point on, two years later, Gosang resigned from his full-time teaching position at the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine at National Taiwan University. At the age of 40, he went to Taiwan Sugar to start the latest scientific pig farming business.Utilize all resources in the sugar production process to produce feed, and cooperate with the United States to establish a cyanamide company to study animal growth and epidemic prevention yeast powder, improve varieties, and export them to Japan and Hong Kong on a large scale, making Taiwan's pork more abundant. In those years when mainland China was making steel with indigenous methods and millions of people died in famines, Taiwan implemented nine-year compulsory education. Slaughter tax paid!

Mr. Ge Fujiang (1913~1983), born in Hebei, graduated from the Animal Husbandry Group of the Agriculture Department of Henan University. In 1946, he came to Taiwan to work in the Department of Agriculture and Forestry and established a livestock company and a livestock laboratory.Since he has served as the representative of our country for the hillside livestock development plan developed by the United Nations for many years, and Taiwan's research achievements have attracted international attention, so he started international scientific and technological exchanges very early.Afterwards, he founded the Taiwan Sugar Corporation Livestock Research Institute and the Pig Raising Science Research Institute, and added a cattle farm in Zhubei, and devoted himself to it for 36 years.Due to years of hard work, he suffered from an asthmatic disease. Even though he was ill at night and could not sleep, he still traveled to Zhubei during the day to personally take care of various experiments of the start-up and observe and evaluate various results.

After retiring in 1981, he lived in California, USA. He thought that the climate in California would help his asthma recuperation. Unexpectedly, he died suddenly of myocardial infarction two years later, at the age of seventy. When the bad news came, I was also very sad.A few years later, when we went to Zhubei again, we walked into the Fujiang Building (later demolished by the new plan) built by the students in memory of him. We seemed to see the burly Gesang coming to greet the guests, and seemed to hear his loud smile. Just like when he personally explained his ideal to us when the Institute was founded in 1970, I have been proud to have shared that ideal and witnessed its realization in my life.
