Chapter 15 Postscript to the 1999 Revised Edition

I cherish each of my works.In terms of the impact on personal writing career, "Blade of Fantasy Country" is undoubtedly the most important one. And not just because it was my first published novel.The entire year of writing "Phantom" was the most critical period of exploration for my writing so far. The basic style and writing style were formed bit by bit in those 349 manuscript papers and countless late nights.The joy of watching my progress with the naked eye is still unforgettable. I was a little conflicted in revising this edition, feeling a little sorry for the readers who bought the original before—readers who were willing to risk their pockets to buy the work of an unknown guy.But leaving a lot of gravel in the book alone is unfair to new readers.

Therefore, when revising, I adhere to the principle of "modify but not change": try to use deletion instead of rewriting, and never change the plot.Fortunately, there were no major problems in the end. Seeing my many mistakes when writing and revising, I couldn't help but blush a little.But it can be seen that at least it proves that I have made progress in the past few years.The pace may not be as fast as before, but it is also worth comforting.
