承志见他皮套中插着二十四柄明晃晃的飞刀，刃长尺许。心想：“大凡暗器，均是乘人不备，猝然施发，袖箭藏在袖中，金镖、铁莲子之属藏在衣囊，他的飞刀却明摆在身上当眼之处，料想必有过人之长。”知道这时谦逊退让也已无用，点了点头，说道：“老前辈手下容情！”将木剑还给小孩，转过身来。 温家众人知道四老爷的飞刀势头劲急，捷如电闪，倏然便至。这少年如全数接住，倒也罢了，要是他闪避退让，飞刀不生眼睛，那可谁也受不住他一刀。当下除了四老之外，余人纷纷走出厅去，挨在门边观看。 温方施叫道：“看刀！”手一扬，寒光闪处，一刀呜呜飞出。原来他的飞刀刀柄凿空，在空中疾飞而过之时，风穿空洞，发出呜呜之声，如吹唢呐，声音凄厉。刀发高音，似是先给敌人警告，显得光明磊落，其实也是威慑恐吓，扰人心神。 袁承志见飞刀威猛，与一般暗器以轻灵或阴毒见胜者迥异，心想：“我如用手接刀，不显功夫，难挫他骄气，总要令他们输得心悦诚服，才能叫他们放出小慧，交还黄金。”在怀中摸出两枚铜钱，左手一枚，右手一枚，分向飞刀打去。左手一枚先到，铮的一响，飞刀登时无声，原来铜钱已把镂空的刀柄打扁。右手一枚铜钱再飞过去，与飞刀一撞，同时跌落。那飞刀重逾半斤，铜钱又轻又小，然而两者相撞之后，居然齐坠，显见他的手劲力道，比温方施高出何止数倍。 温方施登时变色，两刀同时发出。袁承志也照样发出四枚铜钱，先将双刀声音打哑，跟着击落。 温方施哼了一声道：“好本事！好功夫！”口中说着，手上丝毫不缓，六把飞刀一连串地掷出。他这时已知势难击中对方，故意将六柄飞刀四散掷出，心想：“难道你还能一一把我飞刀打落？”却听得呜铮、呜铮接连六响，六柄飞刀竟然又给十二枚铜钱打哑碰跌。承志当日在华山绝顶，不知和木桑道人下了多少盘棋，打了多少千变万化之劫，再加上无数晨夕的苦练，才学会这手世上罕见的“满天花雨”暗器功夫。木桑若是在旁，说不定还要指摘他手法未纯，但温家诸人却尽皆心惊。 温方施大喝一声：“好！”双手齐施，六柄飞刀同时向对方要害处掷出，六刀刚出手，又是六刀齐飞，这是他平生绝技，功夫再好的人躲开了前面六刀，决难躲开后面跟上的六刀。十二柄飞刀呜呜声响，四面八方地齐向袁承志飞去。 温方达眼见袁承志武功卓绝，必是高人弟子，突见四弟使出最厉害的刀法，心中暗惊，叫道：“四弟，别伤他性命……”话声未毕，只见袁承志双手在空中一阵乱抓，随抓随掷，十二柄飞刀先后抓在手中，一抓入手，便向兵器架连续掷出。 刀枪架上本来明晃晃的插满了刀枪矛戟，但见白光闪烁中，枪头矛梢，尽皆折断，原来都给他用十二把飞刀斩断了。飞刀余势不衰，插入了墙壁。 突然之间，五老一齐站起，圈在他身周，目露凶光，同时喝道：“你是金蛇奸贼派来的吗？” 袁承志空中抓刀的手法，确是得自《金蛇秘笈》，蓦见五老神态凶恶，便似要同时扑上来咬噬一般，心下不禁惊慌。正要回答，一瞥之下，忽见厅外三个人走过，其中一人正是安小慧，被两名大汉绑缚了押着，当是刚从翻板下面的地窖给擒了上来。他心急救人，冲出厅去。温方达与温方义各抽兵刃，随后追到。 袁承志不顾追敌，直向安小慧冲去。两名大汉刀剑齐扬，搂头砍下。只听得当当两声，两名大汉手中的刀剑脱手飞出。这两人一呆，见砸去他们兵刃的竟是大老爷和二老爷，吓了一跳。温方达与温方义骂了声：“脓包！”抢上追赶。 原来袁承志身手快极，不架敌刃，嗖的一下，竟从刀剑下钻过。那两名大汉兵刃砍下来时，温氏二老恰好赶到，一刀一剑，便同时向大老爷、二老爷的头上招呼。 袁承志双手分扯，扯断了缚住安小慧手上的绳索。安小慧大喜，连叫：“承志大哥！” 这时那两人的刀剑正从空中落下，承志甩出断绳，缠住长剑，扯了回来，对安小慧道：“接着！”绳子松开，那剑剑柄在前，倒转着向她飞去。安小慧伸手接住。 这当儿当真是说时迟，那时快，长剑刚掷出，温方达两柄短戟已向承志胸前搠到。却听得“啊！哼！”两声叫喊，原来那两名大汉挡在路口，温方义嫌他们碍手碍脚，一个扫堂腿踢开了。 袁承志脚步不动，上身后缩，陡然退开两尺。温方达双戟递空，正要再戳，劲未使出，倏觉双戟自行向前，烛光映射下，只见对方手中一截断绳已缠住双戟，向前拉扯。 温方达借力打力，双戟乘势戳了过去，戟头锋锐，闪闪生光。袁承志侧过身子，用力一扯断绳，随即突然松手。温方达出其不意，收势不及，向前踉跄了两步，看袁承志时，已拉了安小慧抢进练武厅内。 温方达本已冲冲大怒，这时更加满脸杀气，双手力崩，已将戟上短绳崩断，纵进厅来。温家众人也都回到厅内，站在五老身后。 温方达双戟归于左手，右手指着袁承志，恶狠狠地喝道：“那金蛇奸贼在哪里？快说。” 袁承志道：“老前辈有话好说，不必动怒。” 温方义怒道：“金蛇郎君夏雪宜是你什么人？他在什么地方？你是他派来的么？” 袁承志道：“我从没见过金蛇郎君的面，他怎会派我来？”温方山道：“这话当真？”袁承志道：“我干吗骗你？晚辈在衢江之中，无意跟这位温兄弟相遇，承他瞧得起，结交为友，这跟金蛇银蛇有什么干系？” 五老面色稍和，但仍心存疑窦。温方达道：“你不把金蛇奸贼藏身之所说出来，今日莫想离开静岩。” 袁承志心想：“凭你们这点功夫想扣留我，只怕不能。”听他们口口声声的把金蛇郎君叫作“金蛇奸贼”，更是说不出的气恼。在他内心，金蛇郎君已如半个师父，隐隐与木桑道人相似，但神色间神情仍然恭谨，说道：“晚辈与金蛇郎君无亲无故，连面也没有会过。不过他在哪里，我倒也知道，就只怕这里没一个敢去见他。” 温氏五老怒火上冲，纷纷叫道：“谁说不敢？”“这十多年来，我们哪一天不在找他？”“这奸贼早已是废人一个，又有谁怕他了？”“他在哪里？”“快说，快说！” 袁承志淡淡一笑，道：“你们真的要去见他？”温方达踏上一步，道：“不错。”袁承志笑道：“见他有什么好？”温方达怒道：“小朋友，谁跟你开玩笑？快给我说出来！”袁承志道：“各位身子壮健，总还得再隔好几年，才能跟他会面。他已经过世啦！” 此言一出，各人尽皆愕然。只听得温青急叫：“妈妈，妈妈，你怎么了？” 袁承志回过头来，见那中年美妇已晕倒在温青怀中，脸色惨白，连嘴唇都毫无血色。 温方山脸色大变，连骂：“冤孽。”温方义对温青道：“青青，快把你妈扶进去，别丢丑啦，让人家笑话。”温青“哇”的一声哭了出来，说道：“丢什么丑？妈妈听到爸爸死了，自然要伤心。” 袁承志大吃一惊：“他妈妈是金蛇郎君的妻子？温青是他的儿子？” 温方义听得温青出言冲撞，更在外人之前吐露了温门这件奇耻大辱，牙齿咬得格格直响，对温方山道：“三弟，你再宠这娃娃，我可要管了。”温方山向温青斥道：“谁是你爸爸？小孩子胡言乱语。还不快进去！” 温青扶着母亲，慢慢入内。那美妇悠悠醒转，低声道：“你请袁相公明晚来见我，我有话问他。”温青点头，回头对袁承志道：“还有一天，明晚你再来盗吧。你就是帮着人家。你，你……发的誓都是骗人的！”向安小慧恨恨地瞪了一眼，扶着母亲进内。 袁承志对安小慧道：“走吧！”两人向外走出。温方悟站在门口，双手分拦，厉声说道：“慢走，还有话问你。”袁承志拱手道：“今日已晚，明日晚辈再来奉访。”温方悟道：“那金蛇奸贼死在什么地方？他死时有谁见到了？” 袁承志想起那晚张春九刺死他秃头师弟的惨状，心想：“你们棋仙派好不奸诈凶险，那晚在华山之上，我便险些死在你们手中，又何必跟你们说真话？何况你们觊觎金蛇郎君的遗物，我更不能说。”便道：“我也是辗转听朋友说起的，金蛇郎君是死在广东海外的一个荒岛之上。”说到这里，童心忽起，说道：“贵派有一个瘦子，叫作张春九，还有一个秃头，是不是？金蛇郎君的下落，他师兄弟俩知道得清清楚楚。只消叫他二人来一问，就什么都明白了，用不着来问我。” 温氏五老面面相觑，透着十分诧异。温方义道：“张春九和汪秃头？这两个家伙不知死到哪里去了，他妈的，回来不剥他们的皮。” 袁承志心道：“你们到广东海外几千个荒岛上去细细地找吧！要不然，亲自去问张春九和那禿头也好。”向众人抱拳道：“晚辈失陪。” 温方悟道：“忙什么？”他定要问个清楚，伸臂拦住。袁承志伸掌轻轻向他手臂推去。温方悟手腕勾转，要施展擒拿手法拿他手腕。哪知袁承志不想再和人动手，这一招其实是虚招，对方手一动，左方露出空隙，他拉住安小慧的手，呼的一声，恰好从空隙中穿了出去，连温方悟的衣服也没碰到。 温方悟大怒，右手在腰间一抖，已解下一条牛皮软鞭，挥鞭向他后心打到。武林中的软鞭有的以精钢所铸，考究的更以金丝绕成，但温方悟内功精湛，所用兵刃就只平平常常的一条皮鞭。皮鞭又韧又软，在他手里使开来如臂使指，内劲到处，比之五金软鞭有过之而无不及。 袁承志听得背后风声，拉着安小慧向前直蹿，皮鞭落空，听得呼的一声，劲道凌厉，知是一件厉害的软兵器，他头也不回，向墙头纵去。 温方悟在这条软鞭上下过数十年的功夫，给他这么轻易避开，岂肯就此罢手？右手挥出，圈出一个鞭花，向安小慧脚上卷来。这一下避实就虚，知道这少女功力不高，这一招定然躲不开，如把她拉了下来，等于是截住了袁承志。 袁承志听得风声，左手撩出，带住鞭梢，混元功乘势运起，上跃之势竟尔不停，左手使劲，将温方悟提起。温家众人见到，无不大骇。 温方施要救五弟，右手急扬，两柄飞刀呜呜发声，向承志后心飞去。 袁承志左手松开皮鞭鞭梢，拉着安小慧向墙外跃出，听得飞刀之声，竟不回头，右手分别在飞刀刀背轻挡，飞刀立时倒转。 温方悟脚刚落地，两柄飞刀已当头射落。他不及起身，抖起皮鞭，想打开飞刀，哪知皮鞭忽然寸寸断裂。原来刚才袁承志在半空中提起温方悟，实已使上了混元功的上乘内劲，否则他在半空中无从借力，如何提得起一个一百几十斤的大汉？这混元功传到皮鞭之上，竟将鞭子扯断了。温方悟大惊，一个“懒驴打滚”，滚了开去，但一柄飞刀已把他衣襟刺破。他站起来时一身冷汗，半晌说不出话来。 温方达不住摇头。五老均是暗暗纳罕。温方义道：“这小子不过二十岁左右，就算在娘胎里起始练武，也不过二十年功力，怎地手下竟如此了得？”温方山道：“金蛇奸贼这般厉害，也栽在咱们手里。这小子明晚再来，咱们好好对付他。” 袁承志和安小慧回到借宿的农家。安小慧把这位承志大哥满口称赞，佩服得了不得，说道：“崔师哥老是夸他师父怎么了不起，我看他师父一定及不上你。”袁承志道：“崔师哥叫什么名字，他师父是哪一位？”安
