三人已悟色空境界，知道花开见佛就在俄顷。内中癞姑只是随缘参拜，虽然衷心虔敬，还不十分看重。仙都二女处境却是至难，因为佛法微妙高深，不可思议，相由心生，亦由心灭，有相无相，互为因果，差之毫厘，谬以千里。此时志在取得七宝金幢，事前预受神尼、禅师指示，先已着相，如使一念不生，自非容易。如若一心取宝，既失虔敬，杂念一生，便不能见到诸佛菩萨庄严宝相。而宝幢起落快慢，全系本身，开始时如不恰到好处，占了机先，便如石火电光，稍纵即逝。二女在小寒山皈依佛法，仗着夙根智慧和今生百余年的修道功力，又得忍大师真传与寒月、一音随时指点，道行精进，固然远非昔比，但毕竟在外经历尚少，又是初次遇到这等关系重大的不世佛缘，惟恐疏失，未免胆小情虚了些。一开始一味宁神定虑，意欲不令着相。单等花开见佛，宝幢由湖心涌现，再照预计，以极大愿力上前求取。以二女这等物相生灭有无，悉由自己主宰，论起功力原非寻常。但是这次取宝，内有佛家无上妙谛，关系二女屡世修为及最后一次成道证果的成败关头，其中精微奥妙之处，不落言诠，也不是师友所能传授，人力所能勉强。便小寒山神尼、大智禅师先前那番指点，也不过告以宝幢出现时间情景，上面七宝有何妙用，以及一些避忌之处，并非传授取用之法，依言行事便可到手。事之成否，仍仗二女自己。二女也知此事不能倚仗别人，信心愿力均颇坚强。无如屏除杂念，由于平时修道功力的强制，这一矜持太过，有念生于无念，依然着相，未能上来先臻化境，以致延误时机，落个美中不足，日后多生好些枝节。Not 这时仙都二女、癞姑三人，已然通诚跪拜之后，起身趺坐湖边，端的虔心息虑，一念不生。正当静观自在，物我交忘之际，忽听身后大智禅师大喝道：“诸佛菩萨已现宝相，俱在眼前，尔等可见着么？”一语未终，三人猛被提醒，心方微动，一阵异香起处，满湖斗大青莲一齐开放。湖心上空立现出一圈佛光，中间一朵极大青莲花上，立着一尊身高丈六的金身佛相。紧跟着，随同目光到处，每朵莲花上面俱现出一尊佛菩萨，看去何止百千万亿。一时霞光万道，花雨缤纷，宝相庄严，不可言说。三人忙即合掌礼拜，五体投地，重又匍匐地上。待了一会儿，二女暗忖：“禅师曾说花开见佛以后，跟着湖中祥光涌现，宝幢便要升起，此时怎无动静？”心正寻思，忽听湖心清波分流之声，抬头一看，不禁大喜。原来佛相莲花俱已隐去，只湖中心翠涛滚滚，四外分流，当中现出一个亩许大的深水漩涡。晃眼工夫，水底忽有精光上射，随升起酒杯大小一团五色祥光。紧跟着又涌出一丈六七尺长，七尺方圆一座宝幢。那宝幢似幡非幡，略似华盖，共有七层，四边璎珞垂珠，每层上面各现出一种不同形式的宝光：头层上，是两个连环宝圈；二层是一朱轮，四边烈焰环绕，熊熊欲燃；三层是一钵盂；四层是一金钟；五层是一慧剑；六层是一梵铃；七层是一宝镜。全宝幢上，本就宝气精光上烛霄汉，这六层七宝又各具一色，光华分外强烈，精芒射目，不可逼视。共是七色光华，融会成一幢彩霞，庄严雄丽，气象万千，一望而知具有无上威力。 谢氏二女是修道多年，新近又得佛门上乘法髓，见了这等异宝，也由不得惊喜交集。因这宝幢出现以后，逐渐长大，光华强盛，只管继长增高。来时虽获明悟，怀有成算，禅师并未传授收用之法，只是具有信仰愿力，期于必得，更没料到此宝如此伟大。又以时机不再，说错过便错过，不禁心慌，匆促之间，欲以本身法力上前求取。姊妹二人面向宝幢一同拜了九拜，随同起立略定心神，施展师传佛法，一面用有无相神光护身，一面手掐诀印，口诵六字真言，朝那七宝金幢冲去。初意此宝虽具无上威力，但无人主持，又是佛家之宝，自己应有这层佛缘，再以本身法力强制，必可手到成功，不问此宝如何长大，且先擎回山去再作计较，自己离宝幢不过三数十丈远近，光遁神速，本是不消瞬息便可飞到。哪知事情竟出预计，那宝幢上面发射出来的七色霞光，精芒所及，四边俱在十丈左右，并且还在逐渐增长。二女遁光飞至中途，还未到达，刚与宝幢精芒接触，便被阻住。二女心急，又自信此宝对本门弟子决不至于伤害，去势太猛。这一硬冲上去，当时猛觉着迎面遇见一种极大阻力，人虽未伤，竟被撞退回来。 二女心方一惊，仰望在宝幢顶上徐徐滚转的那一团五色祥光，已似要离顶飞去。谢琳猛想起眇姑所嘱之言，一时情急。二女素来言行心意大半相同，至多发动略有先后，这还是近年小寒山修道以后，才行如此，大致仍是相同。彼此临机应事，多想到便做，极少商议，已成习惯，也永没有什大差误之处。惟独此举却是谢琳一人动念，因知幢顶宝光便是镇幢舍利，如被飞返西方，不特七宝金幢不能随意施为，有了缺陷，并料宝幢也必更难到手。时机一误，被其沉入湖底，永无到手之日。当时急不暇择，竟施展全副神通，上前夺取。随身飞起，扬手一个诀印发将出去，欲以金刚定力，先将那粒舍利子定住，同时以玄功变化与之合为一体，将其收下。那金刚诀印也具有极大定力，功候再如精纯，无论多厉害的法宝也可定住，何况乃是无主之物。满拟舍利虽是镇幢之宝，宝相祥和，不似宝幢威力强烈，只要占得机先，总不致被它滑脱，谁知又未如愿。诀印将发未发之际，那舍利不过在宝幢顶上徐徐自转，祥光晶莹，流辉四射，看去似要飞腾，势却缓慢。及至金刚诀印一发动，人也将要飞近，只听一声极轻微的雷音，那团舍利祥光忽然隐去。谢琳玄功所化一片光华，竟又被那雷音震退回来老远，比起头次势更猛烈。如非近年功力精进，几乎禁受不住。同时舍利祥光一隐，宝幢立即大放光华，七层法宝各显威力，水、火、风、雷、金铁、沙石之声，隐隐交作，知道不妙。这后半宝幢出现情景，三人闻见相同，休说谢琳恐惶，便连癞姑也觉要糟，自知此举非比寻常，爱莫能助。正代二女着急忧惜，紧要关头，忽现转机。 原来谢璎先听眇姑之言，虽也动念，后来想到功行须仗自己修为，法宝只是不得已时用作降魔脱难之助，所以本心没有全得之念，只是急切间想不出取那宝幢之法。头次撞退下来，一时无计，决以毅力信心战胜，二次又冲上前去。不料谢琳看出舍利祥光势欲飞走，忽然舍此就彼，没有同行。二人一上一下，差不多一同飞到，谢璎飞近宝幢，正值谢琳震退下来。谢璎正觉这次飞近宝光，并无阻力，只是若远若近，不能飞到。就在这心念微动之际，祥光忽隐，吃这雷音一震，猛想起初见佛相时情景，以及禅师“佛在眼前”之言，顿触灵机，恍然大悟有无相因，人宝分合之妙，此宝与自己本是一体，何须强求？适才花开见佛，分明是悟境，一开始如不矜持，此宝早已到手。灵机一通，当时智慧空明，自在非常，人也仍在原地，含笑趺坐。另一面，谢琳被雷音震退，心中一急，侧顾乃姊正在含笑趺坐，也自如梦初觉，万虑全收，快活非常。 说时迟，那时快，先后不过瞬息间事。旁坐癞姑见二女和那宝幢忽然无踪，忙一回看，二女仍在原坐之处，面带微笑，双双入定，那玉雪双颊上，一左一右各现出一个小酒窝，于美丽庄严之中，又带出无限天真，端的仪态万方，迥绝仙凡。乍看除却神仪内莹外，别无异状。细一谛视，通身俱似有一层祥光外映。情知大功已成，宝幢已然取到，正以玄功运用，不久便可仗以施为，好生代她们欣慰。暗忖：“自己原是佛门弟子，屡世修积，夙根颇深。只因恩师屠龙大师前在本门犯规被逐，起初因心性刚强疾恶，同门中如晓月禅师、风火道人吴元智均有嫌隙，一时负气，羞于重归，中间几乎入了旁门。幸遇神尼点化，皈依佛法，如今正果将成。只是本门长眉师祖师恩未报以前，心愿未了。有一年谈起自己从小便蒙教养，传授道法，始有今日，师恩深厚，无以为报。又见眇姑在旁一言未发，便向师父力请代完心愿，一任愿力多么宏大，均由自己担承，免得延误恩师证果。初意不过和师父一样，由此起暗助峨眉发扬光大，多积善功，尽心尽力，不避艰险而已。哪知师父心意，竟是要令自己代她复归峨眉一二甲子，俟积完当年拜师时所许三千善功，才算了愿。当时说过便罢，师父一直十多年不曾再提。心料师父看出自己有了悔意，不肯勉强。因话已出口，并蒙师父奖勉，意甚欣慰，不应后悔，辜负恩师。平日想起便觉内愧，几次想要请命，俱以心中不舍离开师门，没有出口。后来峨眉已然开府，师父仍未提说，心还在想双方无异一家，不重拜师也是一样，如只暗中宣力，最合心意。哪知到了众弟子行礼授法之时，师父忽然旧事重提，自然说不上不算来。仙佛两家虽然殊途同归，一则自己过去生中已然皈依，今生又是自幼便投佛门，修为颇有根底，向往尤切；二则本门前辈剑仙中，如白云、元元、餐霞以及苦行师伯等十二三位师长，几有一半是佛门中人。自己也只开府行礼时换了一次装束。今见谢家姊妹三年之别，如此精进，佛法高深，果然另一境界。不知将来自己功行圆满以后，是否还能重换初服不能？” 心正寻思，忽听身后有人喝道：“你自有你的来路，羡慕旁人做甚？”癞姑知道说话的必是大智禅师，这才想起只顾瞻仰奇景，还忘了参拜禅师。回身一看，身后不远站着一位老和尚，相貌甚是清癯，身材也极瘦小，疏眉细目，满面慈祥，颔下无须，手握一串念珠，穿着一身黄葛僧衣，头上隐隐环着一圈佛光，身上皮肤又是金色，活似唐宋遗留的名塑名画罗汉形象。知他是我佛坐前尊者转世，宋时已然成道，只因愿缘未了，在此佛家圣地坐关结缘，得与相见，缘福不浅。忙即五体投地，虔诚跪拜。却因身已改投在峨眉门下，想不到说什么话好。禅师微笑道：“起来，起来。幻波池之事，有谢氏二女足可为助。妖尸结果我虽得知，但是这类杀孽，我已不再参与。好在到时自有人去设法，无足为虑。你此次见我，不过认认门路，且等下一甲子我临去以前，你再来吧。”癞姑闻言，重又拜谢不止。同时二女也已用完定功，起身走来。刚同拜跪下去，抬头一看，禅师已然不见，对面佛光朗照，洞门大开。二女知道禅师二次升座，一会儿便有不少人来听经说法，先已垂示事完即行，无须再留，便和癞姑说了，同向洞门遥拜，告辞起身。 这时上空云层已经布满，三人各纵遁光飞身直上，刚穿过两层祥云，入了上半云雾之中，忽听上面冰崖雪壁崩坠之声，轰隆大震。暗诧此是大雪山中最为高寒隐僻之地，冰雪多自千万年前堆积，甚是坚厚，又没有风，又无大力震动，怎有如此猛烈声势？如是人为，决非常人。禅师开关结缘之期，下面是灵区圣域，何人大胆，敢于在此惊扰？方寻思间，三人忽同想起周、李二人此时正该到达，忙催遁光穿云上去。首先瞥见的便是李英琼驾着紫郢剑光，如长虹经天，由峰崖北面绕飞过来，飞得低而又快，破空飞行之声毫未收敛。所过之处，天空密云浓雾纷纷四散，震荡如潮，云层起伏，当中成了一条极长的巨弄，蜿蜒天半。下面冰峰雪崖，便跟着纷纷震塌，冰花雪雨随着山峦倒塌，布散高空，宛如银雾，轰隆之声震撼天地，甚是惊人。英琼仍如未觉，只管在空中左旋右转，像似搜寻人物情景。癞姑知是寻找自己，同时又听英琼传声相唤，方欲应声赶去，口还未张，忽见来路侧面岭脚下光华一闪，紫光随即飞下。仙都二女见状，倏地想起一事，说声：“快走！”三人刚把遁光掉转飞上前去，说时迟，那时快，三人到时，英琼已和那光华中变化出来的一个形如火焰的怪人影子斗将起来。怪影身外光华已敛，极似一朵火焰结成的人影，焰色极淡，动作又极神速，如非三人是慧目法眼，直看不出一点形相。那么厉害神奇的飞剑，居然敢于随同飞舞，毫无畏意，急切间英琼竟奈何他不得。癞姑看出不是寻常，正待出手相助，仙都二女已同声喝道：“今日大智禅师开关结缘之期，不容大启杀机，难道近在咫尺会不知么？”谢琳手扬处，首先飞出一团金光，晃眼加大，电一般往前飞去。英琼也觉出厉害，将牟尼珠放将出来。怪影见状似知不妙，一声未答，忽化作一溜墨绿烟光，往岭脚深洞中遁去。真是来得也速，去得更快，目光一瞬，无影无踪。癞姑神雷已然发出，竟丝毫也未打中。 四人匆匆见面。仙都二女对癞姑道：“这一带冰山雪岳俱被琼妹剑光震塌，那妖人便是为此惊动，余波蔓延，永无终息。我们三人且将震势止住，等轻云寻到，同往小寒山洞中再作详谈吧。”说不几句，轻云也已寻到。本来约定同去小寒山二女洞中，不料毒手摩什记恨二女，赶来寻仇。二女正要迎御，忽被神尼召回，毒手摩什也被佛光惊退。癞姑、周、李三人又往小寒山求见神尼，久候无音，正负气要走，又遇两厉害妖人受人蛊惑，电驶飞来，猛下毒手。冷不防为癞姑屠龙刀所伤逃走，三人穷追不舍，二妖人在逃路上运用玄功变化将身复原，回头反噬。恰值玉洞真人岳韫正在青莲峪访晤大智禅师，出来解围，并指示三人机宜，三人才知神尼别有用意。因还有些时候，送走玉洞真人之后，癞姑抽空说了前事。又停一会儿，算计到了时刻，三人重又起身，往小寒山飞去。因知神尼终年多在入定中，灵境幽秘，封锁严密，去了必是先见二女。哪知遁光飞过雪山，折向东南方去路，飞不多时，首先发现高山前横，上有林木森森秀列。猛想起二女前在峨眉，曾说小寒山前还有一座高山，上有森林，正是这等形势。先那两次，虽均照她所说途向里数飞行，前半经历都对，此山独未见到。此时忽然出现，分明适才白跑两趟，不特不曾升堂入室，连这座高山俱未越过。照此情形，当是禁法已撤，事可如愿，好生欣喜，忙催遁光前进。为示敬意，打算一过此山，便即下落，步行入内求见。刚一同飞到那山顶上，猛觉遁光前面有了阻力，心疑主人仍有见拒之意，不便向前强进。就这遁光微一停顿之际，面前金光一闪，修地现出一个相貌清秀的少年禅师，定睛一看，认出是新近皈依佛门，改名寒月的武夷散仙谢山。知是师门至交，又是二女义父，好生欣慰，忙同拜倒。禅师含笑唤起，说道：“忍大师适才两次杜门谢客，并非故作不情，内中实有原因，日后自知就里。璎、琳二女已在准备起身，你三人此去，忍大师当可相见了。我适由她那里起身回去，见你三人到来，忽然想起一事。妖尸罪在必诛，不必说了。只是沙氏兄妹与丌南公情谊至厚，再与相遇，不妨让他一二。如真为势所迫，沙亮还在其次，沙红燕乃老怪前生宠姬，今之爱徒，情如夫妇，乃旁门中有数人物。此女精通玄功，邪法颇高，使其形神俱灭，颇非容易。此女爱她容貌甚于性命，到时不可毁她容貌。否则此仇一结，便老怪自负前辈，不肯亲自出马，为了此女日常哭请报仇，明知胜之不武，不胜为笑，也必亲来寻仇。你们仗着得了圣姑所留总图和全部道书，了悟玄秘，能将原设五行妙用尽量发挥，比起现在胜强十倍，敌人莫可如何，很难攻进为害。但是老怪法力高强，来去无踪，神速如电。你们又当奉命收徒行道，创立分支之际，其势不能常守洞门，一旦离开，必受侵害，防不胜防。就有异宝护身，时刻留意，到底添出许多麻烦。
