耿鲲识得雪魂珠厉害，忙将双翼一舒，翅尖上发出数十道红光，敌住雪魂珠。接着便想展翼升空，另用玄功变化，伤害众人。就在这一时忙乱之中，忽见有十余条线细如游丝的银白光华往身上飞来。因那雪魂珠银光强烈，宛如一轮白日辉照中天，曜隐星匿，双方飞剑光芒尽为所掩。耿鲲虽是修道多年，一双慧目明烛纤微，竟没有看清敌人何时发出白眉针，直到近前，才得警觉。猛想起天狐白眉针厉害非常，自己因为想报当年仇恨，还炼就一样破她的法宝。闻得她所生二女现在峨眉门下，曾用此针伤过好几个异派能手，怎地一时大意，忘了此宝？说时迟，那时快，在这危机紧迫之中，一任耿鲲玄思电转，万分机警，纵有法宝道术，也来不及使用施为。略一迟疑，眼看针光快要到达身上，知道此针能随使用人的心意追逐敌人，除了事前早有防备，一被针光照住，想要完全逃免，断乎不能。只能将身一侧，先避开几处要害，不但不躲，拼着两翼受伤，急忙迎上前去。那十几道银丝打在翼上，登时觉着好些处酸麻。惟恐顺着血流攻心，忙运玄功，暗提真气，将全身穴道一齐封闭。身受暗伤，急须设法将针取出，以免两翼为针所毁。再加神驼乙休这个强敌还未交手，雪魂珠又非寻常法宝，同时司徒平的乌龙剪又如两条神龙交尾而至，其势难以恋战。起初只说乙休难斗，谁知反败在几个无名小辈手里，阴沟里翻船，好不痛恨懊悔！咬牙切齿长啸一声，借遁光破空而去。八姑连忙唤住众人，各收飞剑法宝，侍立神驼乙休面前，听候吩咐。那初被乙休夹上岸来的一个怪物，乃是鱼首人身，胁生四翼，两脚连而不分，与鱼尾微微相似，却生着两只长爪。它已在司徒平收回乌龙剪时，身首异处了。 神驼乙休见翼道人耿鲲受了重伤，狼狈逃走，不禁哈哈大笑。对众人道：“我自在紫玲谷气走藏矮子后，被凌花子硬拖到青螺峪去住了两天，又回去办了一点小事。知道天狐怨家甚多，魔劫太重。她以前虽有过恶，也还有许多善处。自经极乐真人与三仙道友点化，兵解以后，潜心忏悔，改邪归正，仍还脱不了天劫这一关，已堪怜悯。何况寻她晦气的又都是些邪魔外道，除老耿略好些外，余下平日为恶，更比天狐还胜百倍，偏要来此趁火打劫，委实令人不平。再加三仙道友、诸葛小友与我这记名徒弟的情面，我又最爱打抱不平，前日便到了此地，已经迎头将许多邪魔骗走诛戮。那耿鲲好不歹毒，他与天狐有仇，却想连此岛一齐毁灭。他因自己是乃母受大鸟之精而生，介于人禽之间，平日不收人类，专一取一些似人非人的东西做徒弟，打算别创一派。偏又疑忌太多，心肠狠毒，恐这些东西学成本领，出来闯祸，丢他的脸，教规定得极严，错一点便遭惨死。可是他的门下，除了本来炼就的功行外，得他真传的极少。除非有事派遗，才当时交付法宝，传些法术。他曾从南海眼金阙洞底得了蚩尤氏遗留下来的一部三盘经……除本来炼就玄功外，所炼法术法宝，俱是污秽狠毒。虽然他也不多生事，无故不去欺凌异己。每次派出来的徒弟，除临行传授一些应用法术外，必有他的一两样护身法宝和一根鸟羽。外人见了那鸟羽，一则因他难惹，二则所行之事又非极恶大过，多不愿与他结怨。因此成道以来，不曾遇过敌手，目空一世。不想今番却败在你们几个人手上。他与北海陷空老祖颇有交情，必到那里将针取出。但盼他二次赶来，有我与三仙道友在场，办个了结。否则仇怨更深，你们从此多事，防不胜防了。 “他这次派出来的两个徒弟，死的一个是鲛人一类，专在海中吐丝，网杀生灵。自被他收服，仍改不了旧恶。他对别的门徒最严，惟独这东西因有许多用处，道行也最高些，特予优容，时常派遣出外。另一个是人鱼与旱獭交合而生，名为獭人。除四爪外，胸生独手，能钻入海底，穿行地面，比较不甚作恶。耿鲲也是一时疏忽，只知道此地有风雷封锁，三仙道友奉敕闭洞，至多派两个门下相助防守，不在他的心上，又贪图和他新娶妻子乌女儿苏南怡厮守。便派两个怪物徒弟到此布置，由獭人从海底偷偷钻入阵地，再由那鲛人先用雌霓淫精破了风雷。照他所传法术，用海沙筑成一所小岛崖洞，与这里地形无二，外用吐出鲛丝包好。静等天狐快要出洞应劫之时，耿鲲赶来，施展那移形禁制之法，只一举手间，将那小山毁去，所有此岛山林生物，还未等天劫到临，便一齐化为灰烬，沉沦海底。这两个怪物俱甚狡猾，事一办完，仍由原路钻回海底潜藏，一丝形迹不露。你们只注意阵外，哪里观察得出？即使被雪魂珠光华照见，你们还未动手，两个怪物在海底先有惊觉，立时施展禁制之法，此岛仍是毁灭，你们依然不知。 “我知道如不先将此两怪擒获，事甚可危。能在事前将他禁法破去，耿鲲赶来，也无法照那般的狠毒布置了。正想深入海底搜寻，合该我省事。两怪在水中静极思动，恰赶上一个从别处游来的千年老蚌乘月吐辉，吸采大阴精气，被两怪看见，起了贪心，从海面现身赶来，想夺老蚌那粒明珠。被我双双拦住，先夺了鲛人胸藏的禁制之符，从从容容将它夹上岸来，耿鲲原本要到明日辰巳之交才到，偏那鲛人最是刁狡，以为我惧怕耿鲲，竟乘我转身之时，吐火将耿鲲给的鸟羽点燃。那鸟羽原从耿鲲两翼脱卸，这里一烧，那里便得了警兆，还未容我将那小山驱入海中销毁，耿鲲已得信追来。那座小山若被他放出来的火星打中，此岛便会震裂下沉。还算我早有防备，一面用全神护着小山，一面和他抵敌，用缩地法将小山驱入海心深处，还隔断了他的生克妙用，才借他禁符将山毁去。你们但看适才破法时声势，便知厉害。起初本不愿伤他徒弟性命，只想臊臊耿鲲的脸，警戒他以后不要目中无人，使其知难而退。后来见你们动了手，仇怨已深；那鲛人又是恶贯满盈，仗它师父来到，以为我必投鼠忌器，竟敢在乌龙剪夹困下，暗放毒丝出来害人，我才将它杀死，倒是那獭人自一见面，就口口声声哀告，准它归降，永远为我服役，以贷一死。我平素不喜收徒弟，留它看洞，也还不错。” 说时那人首鼍身的怪物早从乙休身后爬到前边，跪在地上。一听乙休答应收它，不住欢跃鸣啸。乙休又道：“我虽收它，留此无用，待我行法将它送回山去。天已快亮，该做御劫准备了。”说罢，在那獭人身上画了一道灵符，口诵真言，将手一指，一团红光飞起。那獭人将头在地连叩数下，长啸一声，化成一溜火星，被红光托住，离地破空而去。
