Chapter 1 Prologue More, More Worlds

What is this world like? This is a seemingly simple question, but it must be noted that: seemingly. I received a birthday card many years ago, and the sentence written on it was very touching: the most wonderful thing is actually the world itself. That is to say, not long after seeing this sentence, I hope to travel around the world in my lifetime, because I always feel the need to know the planet I live on.That is, shortly after I had this wish, I thought about the question I just mentioned: what is this world like. Driven by curiosity, I spent a lot of time and energy looking for answers through various channels and methods. But I found that no one can tell what the world is like.

Just when I was confused about this, I once heard a friend who is a psychiatrist talk about some cases. Then I seemed to understand something: understand why no one can explain what the world is like. Dao said: This is the world; Buddha said: This is one of the six realms; God said: This is the battlefield between heaven and hell; Philosophy: This is the infinite dialectical fog; Physics: This is the aggregation of elementary particles Body; humanities say: here is existence; history says: here is the accumulation of time. All explanations are here. It seems that the world is an irregular body with countless faces.

So I began to ask those familiar people around me with great interest: "In your opinion, what is the world like?" However, I didn't get a serious answer. why?Probably because few people have thought about this problem, and few people are really willing to face this problem, because everyone is busy making money, finding a wife, getting promoted... Few people care about what the world is like.More people were puzzled by my behavior of not busy making money, not busy looking for a wife, not busy getting promoted, and at the same time expressed concern half-truthfully: Are you crazy?

Well, then, I decided to ask another group of people - "psychopaths", or the mental patients in our eyes. With a complicated mentality, I started to contact this special group, wondering how they see the world. Among the mentally ill and mentally disabled people I have come into contact with, a considerable number of them have extremely clear logic (it must be admitted that this is also the result of my screening), of course, the premise is that they are in their own worldview. And most of them aren't that dangerous - except for the manic ones (which require some risk, such as being attacked). But generally speaking, as long as you are mentally and physically prepared, there is no big problem.

Mental patients also have very different personalities and behaviors: some like to talk endlessly, some are looking for trouble, some are silent, and some are beating around the bush. They are no different from the sentient beings on the street. But they'll do things we don't understand, have perspectives we never thought of.Their worldview is unimaginable, and they see the world from angles we never imagined. This may be why many people think that psychopaths are difficult to communicate with. I think that some behaviors can't be understood only by looking at the results. It would be much better to understand the causes. So, from that day on, I spent my spare time for the next 4 years doing this thing—contacting mental patients.

One day at noon, I suddenly decided it was over. After a year, I decided to write about what I had accumulated. So there is the book you are reading now. I hope readers can: get rid of the fog of words and appearances, and approach this wonderful world more openly.I hope that after reading this book, you can have your own ideas and thinking (deceitful, law-breaking, and horny ones are not counted). This is more important than anything else. I just hope this book is a window that allows you to see more, more of the world - the world as they see it.I also hope that one day you will be able to say frankly: "Let me tell you what kind of world this is in my eyes."

Finally, thanks. I am very grateful to the Beijing Book Planning Center of Wuhan University Press for its attention and attention to this content, and editor Ru Yi for all the efforts made for this book. In terms of content, I must thank the following friends (in no particular order): Thanks to Dr. Yang Chen, Dr. Taishi Mingyue, Dr. Wang Jianguo, Dr. Ma Changchun, Professor Wang Yang, Professor Wang Chengbin, and several friends who do not wish to be named.
