The first step is to subdue afflictions.When afflictions subside, it is easy to "break".It is knowing that "non-stop is not enough to subdue knots", "non-contemplation is not enough to break confusion".Therefore, it is said in the scriptures: "Stopping is the winning cause of meditation, and viewing is the reason for wisdom."
