Ande had this name in the Han Dynasty.The ghost does not speak, and if you ask it again, the plowman will die.It is said that it is a tomb of the Han Dynasty, and ghosts are also familiar with it, so they rely on it for food, and they are not afraid of self-defeating. ●毛其人言,有耿某者,勇而悍,山行遇虎,奋一梃与斗,虎竟避去,自以为中黄,佽飞之流也。偶闻某寺后多鬼,时嬲醉人,愤往驱逐,有好事数人随之往,至则日薄暮,乃纵饮至夜,坐后垣上待其来。二鼓后,隐隐闻啸声,乃大呼曰:耿某在此,倏人影无数涌而至,皆吃吃笑曰:是尔耶,易也耳。耿怒跃下,则鸟兽散去,遥呼其名而詈之。东逐则在西,西逐则在东,此没彼出,倏忽千变。耿旋转如风轮,终不见一鬼,疲极欲返,则嘲笑以激之,渐引渐远,突一奇鬼当路立,锯牙电目,张爪欲搏,急奋拳一击,忽噭然自仆,指已折掌已裂矣。乃误击墓碑上也。群鬼合声曰:勇哉。瞥然俱沓,诸壁上观者闻耿呼痛,共持炬舁归,卧数日乃能起。右手遂废。从此猛气都尽,竟唾面自干焉。夫能与虓虎敌,而不能不为鬼所困,虎斗力,鬼斗智也。以有限之力,欲胜无穷之变幻,非天下之痴人乎?然一惩即戒,毅然自返,虽谓之大智慧人,亦可也。 ●张桂岩自扬州还,携一琴砚见赠,斑驳剥落,古色黝然,右侧近下,镌西涯二篆字,盖怀麓堂故物也。中镌行书一诗曰:如以文章论,公原胜谢刘,玉堂挥翰手,对此忆风流。款曰稚绳,高杨孙相国字也。左侧镌小楷一诗曰:草绿湘江叫子规,茶陵青史有微词,流传此砚人犹惜,应为高阳五字诗。款曰不凋,乃太仓崔华之字。华,渔洋山之门人,渔洋论诗绝句曰:溪水碧于前渡日,桃花红似去年时,江南肠断何人会,只有崔郎七字诗。即其人也。二诗本集皆不载,岂以诋诃前辈,微涉讦直,编集时自删之欤?后以赠庆大司马丹年,刘石庵参知颇疑其伪,然古人多有集外诗,终弗能明也。又杨丈汶川,讳可镜,杨忠烈公曾孙也,以拔贡官户部郎中,与先姚安公同事。赠姚公一小砚,背有铭曰:自渡辽,携汝伴,草军书,恒夜半,余之心,惟汝见。款题芝冈铭,盖熊公廷弼军中砚,云得之于其亲串家。又家藏一小砚,左侧有白谷手琢四字,当是孙公传庭所亲制。二砚大小相近,姚安公以皆前代名臣,合为一匣。后在长儿汝佶处,汝佶夭逝,二砚为婢媪所窃卖,今不可物色矣。 ●余十七岁时,自京师归,应童子试,宿文案孙氏——土语呼若巡诗,音之转也,室庐皆新建,而土坑下钉一桃杙,上下颇碍,呼主人去之。主人颇笃实,摇手曰:是不可去,去则怪作矣。诘问其故,曰:吾买隙地构此店,宿者恒夜见炕前一女子立,不言不动,亦无他害,有胆者以手引之,乃虚无所融,道士咒桃杙,钉之,乃不复见。余曰:其下必古冢,人在上,鬼不安耳,何不掘出其骨,具棺迁葬。主人曰:然。然不知其果迁否也。又癸已春,余乞假养疴北仓,姻家赵氏请余题主,先姚安公命之往,归宿杨村,夜已深,余先就忱,仆隶秣马尚未睡,忽见彩衣女子揭帘入,甫露面即退出,疑为趁座妓女,呼仆隶遣去,皆云外户已闭,无一人也。主人曰:四日前有宦家子妇宿此卒,昨移柩去,岂其回煞耶?归告姚安公,公曰:我童子时,读书陈氏舅家,值仆妇夜回煞,月明如昼,我独坐其室外,欲视回煞作何状,迄无见也。何尔乃有见也,然则尔不如我多矣。至今深愧此训也。 ●河豚惟天津至多,土人食之,如园蔬,然亦恒有死者,不必家家皆善烹治也。姨丈惕园牛公言,有一人嗜河豚,卒中毒死,死后见梦于妻子曰:祀我何以无河豚耶?此真死而无悔也。又姚安公言,里有人,粗温饱,后以博破家,临殁语其子曰:必以博具置棺中,如无鬼,与白骨同为土耳。于事何害;如有鬼,荒榛蔓草之间,非此何以消遣耶?比大殓,佥曰:死葬之以礼,乱命不可从也。其子曰:独不云事死如事生乎?生不能几谏,殁乃违之乎?我不讲学,诸公勿干预人家事。卒从其命。姚安公曰:非礼也,然亦孝思无已之心也。吾恶夫事事遵古礼,而思亲之心,则漠然者也。 ●一奴子业针工,其父母鬻身时,未鬻此子,故独别居于外,其妇年二十余,为狐所媚,岁余病瘵死。初不肯自言,病甚,乃言狐初来时为女形,自言新来邻舍也。留与语,渐涉谑,继而渐相逼,遽前拥抱,遂昏昏如魇,自是每夜辄来,必换一形,忽男忽女,忽老忽少,忽丑忽好,忽僧忽道,忽鬼忽神,忽今衣冠忽古衣冠岁,余无一重复者。至则四肢缓纵,口噤不能言,惟心目中了了而已。狐亦不交一言,不知为一狐所化,抑众狐更番而来也。其尤怪者,妇小姑偶入其室,突遇狐出,一跃即逝,小姑所见是方巾道袍人,白须瞏瞏,妇所见则黯黑垢腻,一卖煤人耳。同时异状,更不可思议耳。 ●及孺爱先生言——先生于余为疏从表侄,然幼时为余开蒙,故始终待以师礼:交河有人,田在冢旁,去家远,乃筑室就之,夜恒闻鬼语,习见不怪也。一夕,闻冢间呼曰:尔狼狈何至是?一人应曰:适路遇一女,携一童子行,见其面有衰气,死期已近,未之避也。不虞女忽一嚏,其气中人,如巨杵舂撞,伤而仆地,苏息良久乃得归,今胸鬲尚作楚也。此人默记其语。次日,耘者聚集,具述其异,因问昨日谁家女子傍晚行,致中途遇鬼,中一宋姓者曰:我女昨晚同我子自外家归,无遇鬼事也。众以为妄语,数日后,宋女为强暴所执,捍刃抗节死。乃知贞烈之气,虽届衰绝,尚刚劲如是也。鬼魅畏正人,殆以此夫。 ●张完质舍人言,有与狐为友者将商于外,以家事托狐,凡火烛盗贼,皆为警卫,童婢或作奸,皆摘发无遗,家政井井,逾于商未出时,惟其妇与邻人阗,狐若勿知。越两岁商归,甚德狐,久而微闻邻人事,又甚咎狐。狐谢曰:此神所判,吾人敢违也?商不服曰:鬼神祸淫,乃反导淫哉。狐曰:是有故。邻人前世为巨室,君为司出纳,因其倚信,侵食其多金,冥判以妇偿负,一夕准宿妓之价,销金五星,今所欠祗七十余金矣。销尽自绝,君何躁焉。君倘未信,试以所负偿之,观其如何耳。商乃诣邻人家曰:闻君贫甚,仆此次幸多赢,谨以八十金奉助,邻人感且愧,自是遂与妇绝。岁暮馈肴品示谢,甚精腆,计其所值,正合七十余金。所赢数乃知夙生债负,受者毫厘不能增,与者毫厘不能减也。是亦可畏也已。 ●族侄竹汀言,有农家妇少寡,矢志不嫁,养姑抚子有年矣。一日,华服少年从墙缺窥伺,以为过客误入,詈之去。次日复来,念近村无此少年,土人亦无此华服,心知是魅,持梃驱逐,乃复抛掷砖石,损坏器物。自是日日来,登墙自道相悦意,妇无计,哭诉于社公祠,亦无验。越七八日,白昼晦冥,雷击裂村南一古墓,魅乃绝,不知是狐是鬼也。以妖媚人,已干天律,况媚及柏舟之妇,其受殛也固宜。顾必迟久而后应,岂天人一理。事关殊死,亦待奏请而后刑,由社公辗转上闻,稍稽时日乎?然匹妇一哭,遽达天听,亦足见孝弟之通神明矣。 ●沧州一带海滨,煮盐之地,谓之灶炮。袤延数百里,并斥卤不可耕种。荒草粘天,略如塞外,故狼多窟穴于其中,捕之者掘地为阱,深数尺,广三四尺,以板覆其上,中凿圆孔如盂大,略如枷状,人蹲阱中,携犬子或豚子,击使嗥叫,狼闻声而至,必以足探孔中攫之,人即握其足立起,肩以归。狼隔一板,爪牙无所施其利也。然或遇其群行,则亦能搏噬,故见人则以喙据地嗥,众狼毕集,若号令然。亦颇为行客道途患。有富室偶得二小狼,与家犬杂畜,亦与犬相安,稍长,亦颇驯,竟忘其为狼。一日,主人昼寝厅事,闻群犬呜呜作怒声,惊起周视无一人,再就枕将寐,犬又如前,乃伪睡以俟,则二狼伺其未觉,将啮其喉,犬阻之不使前也。乃杀而取其革。此事从侄虞惇言,狼子野心,信不诬哉。然野心不过遁逸耳,阳为亲昵,而阴怀不测,更不止于野心矣。兽不足道,此人何取而自贻患耶。 ●田村一农妇,甚贞静。一日馌饷,有书生遇于野,从乞瓶中水,妇不应,出金一锭投其袖,妇掷且詈。书生惶恐遁,晚告其夫物色之,无是人,疑其魅也。数日后,其夫外出,阻雨不得归,魅乃幻其夫形,作冒雨归者,入与寝处。草草息灯,遽相媟戏,忽电光射窗,照见乃向书生,妇恚甚,爪败其面,魅甫跃出窗,闻呦然一声,莫知所往。次早夫归,则门外一猴,脑裂死,如刃所中也。盖妖之媚人,皆因其怀春而媾合,若本无是心,而乘其不意,变幻以败其节,则罪当以与强污等。揆诸神理,自必不容。而较前记竹汀所说事,其报更速。或社公权微不能立断,此遇天神立殛之。抑彼尚未成,此则已玷,可以不请而诛欤。 ●同年邹道峰言,有韩生者,丁卯夏读书山中,窗外为悬崖,崖下为涧,涧绝陡,两岸虽近,然可望而不可至也。月明之夕,每见对岸有人影,虽知为鬼,度其不能越,亦不甚怖,久而见惯,试呼与语,亦响应,自言是堕涧鬼,在此待替。戏以余酒,凭窗洒涧内,鬼下就饮,亦极感谢,自此遂为谈友,诵肄之暇,颇消岑寂。一日试问,人言鬼前知,吾今岁应举,汝知我得失否。鬼曰:神不检籍,亦不能前知,何况于鬼?鬼但能以阳气之盛衰,知人年运;以神光之明晦,知人邪正耳。若夫禄命,则冥官执役之鬼,或旁窥窃听而知之;城市之鬼,或辗转相传而闻之,山野之鬼勿能也。城市之中,亦必捷巧之鬼乃闻之,钝鬼亦勿能也。譬君静坐此山,即官府之事不得知,况朝廷之机密乎?一夕闻隔涧呼曰:与君送喜。顷城隍巡山,与社公相语,似言今科解元是君也,生亦窃自贺。及榜发,解元乃韩作霖,鬼但闻其姓同。其生太息曰:乡中人传官里事,果若斯乎? ●王史亭编修言,有崔生者,以罪戍广东,恐携孥有意外,乃留其妻妾只身行。到戍后,穷愁抑郁,殊不自聊,且回思少妇登楼,弥增忉怛。偶遇一叟,自云姓董,字无念,言颇契,愍其流落,延为子师,亦甚相得。一夕宾主夜酌,楼高月满,忽动离怀,把酒倚栏,都忘酬酢。叟笑曰:君其有云鬟玉臂之感乎?托在契末,已早为经纪,但至否未可知,故先不奉告,旬月后当有耗耳。又半载,叟忽戒僮婢扫治别室,意甚匆遽,顷之,则三小肩舆至,妻妾及一婢揭帘出矣。惊喜怪问,皆曰:得君信相迓,嘱随某官眷属至,急不能久待,故草草来,家事托几房几兄代治,约岁得租米,岁岁鬻金寄至矣。问婢何来,曰:即某官之媵,嫡不能容,以贱价就舟中鬻得也。生感激拜叟,至于涕零,从此完聚成家,无复故园之梦。越数月,叟谓生曰:此婢中途邂逅,患难相从,当亦是有缘,似当共侍巾栉,无独使向隅也。又数载遇赦得归,生喜跃不能寝,而妻妾及婢俱惨惨有离别之色。生慰之曰:尔辈念主人恩耶?倘不死,会有日相报耳。皆不答,惟趣为生治装。濒行,翁治酒作饯,并呼三女出曰:今日事须明言矣。因拱手对生曰:老夫地仙也,过去生中,与君为同官,殁后君百计营求,归吾妻子,恒耿耿不忘,今君别鹤离鸾,自合为君料理,但山川绵邈,二孱弱女子,何以能来,因摄招花妖先至君家中半年,窥尊室容貌语言,摹拟具似,并刺知家中旧事,便君有证不疑,渠本三姊妹,故多增一婢耳,渠皆幻相,君勿复思,到家相对旧人,仍与此间无异矣。生请与三女俱归,叟曰:鬼神各有地界,可暂出不可久越也。三女握手作别,洒泪沾衣。俯仰间已俱不见,登舟时遥见立岸上,招之不至。
