antique middle game 马伯庸 23260Words 2018-03-23
When we entered the car repair shop, Brother Hu was repairing the car.He crawled out from under a tractor, his upper body was naked, the flesh of the shuttlecock was stained with streaks of black machine oil, only a string of gold chains hung around his neck, matching his red copper skin - he was wearing jade before, Later, I recognized it as inferior jade, so I changed it. "You've ruined my business, you're going to leave again, and now you're coming here to beg for things, isn't that a bit deceptive?" Brother Hu said sadly, sitting on a big forklift tire, the wrench in his hand was spinning flickeringly.Kido Kana put his hands on his knees and bowed: "We apologize for the trouble caused to you. I will make compensation in the next cultural fund investment."

Brother Hu shook his head and held up three fingers: "This kid ruined my face first, you bring out my uncle, okay, I won't pursue this." He put down one finger and continued: "He also spoiled me a few times. Ten thousand yuan, you said it was supplemented by the cultural fund. Forget about it.” He put down another finger and shook the remaining one: “The face and the money are exchanged with my uncle and the fund. The rest He bet on me for the last Longwen Jue. One yard is worth one yard, this cannot be counted among the first two." The implication is that he has to reap some benefits before he is willing to spit out Long Wenjue.Kido Kana was a little embarrassed, I knew that at this time I couldn't let another woman stand up for me, so I stepped forward: "Brother Hu, please make a price."

"Okay! It's refreshing enough!" Brother Hu stood up from the tire, walked up to me, touched his chin with his right hand, probably wondering what benefits he could squeeze from me.As soon as he leaned over, I suddenly opened my eyes wide, and I couldn't help arching forward.Brother Hu thought I was going to do it, and raised a wrench to smash it.I hastily said: "Don't worry!" Pointing to the gold necklace around his neck, I asked loudly, "Where did you get this necklace?" Brother Hu subconsciously grasped the necklace with his hands, and said angrily, "None of your business!" I threw all the money from the medicine or else from my pocket: "The money is yours. Tell me quickly, this Where did it come from!"

Brother Hu didn't expect that I would suddenly be interested in his necklace. He took two steps back and stared at me suspiciously: "My grandma invited me from Fengming Temple. What do you think?" Kido Kana was puzzled by my actions and asked in a low voice: "Xu San, what did you find?" I gestured excitedly, and Kana Kido cast her eyes on the gold necklace, and immediately widened her eyes and let out an "ah".Brother Hu's gold necklace is made of pure gold chains, and a small golden Buddha is tied at the end.The small golden Buddha is a seated Buddha, and the workmanship is a bit rough, but the style of the top of the Buddha's head is exactly the same as that of the Jade Buddha's head in Zetianming Hall. The two curtains hanging from the forehead of the Buddha are quite eye-catching.

From the photos of the Buddha head brought to us by Kido Kana, I judged that the stolen jade Buddha head has three major characteristics: one is that the face resembles the Lusana Buddha in the Longmen Grottoes, which is Wu Zetian himself; the other is that the shape of the Buddha statue tends to be The style of the Mathura school; the third is that the top of the Buddha's head is as strict as the early Tibetan Buddha statues, with a large curvature, and the outer decoration is layered and peeled off, and the curtain is opened on the Buddha's forehead. It is difficult to explain why Wu Zetian chose such a strict style that almost came out of nowhere. If this doubt is not resolved, it will be difficult to confirm the authenticity of the Buddha head—but I really didn’t expect to see almost the same Buddha statue in the strict style on the boss of a gangster with a gangster nature in Qishan in modern society, so Kido Kana and I lost our composure suddenly.

Brother Hu probably didn't want to offend Kido Kana too much. He picked up the money I threw out and put it away, and then reluctantly answered our trivial request.According to him, this gold necklace was his grandmother's dowry when she was married in the early years. The chain was made by someone else, and the Buddha statue was consecrated from the local Shengyan Temple. Kido and I took the gold necklace carefully and looked at it carefully. In terms of shape, this Buddha belongs to the Dharma statue, sitting cross-legged, with his right hand raised to form a ring, and his left hand flat on his knee. It is quite a common statue in Han.Only the Dingyan was particularly abrupt, as if a cucumber was forcibly grafted onto a potato.

"This is at Shengyan Temple, right?" Kido Kana asked, Brother Hu nodded, and then explained that Shengyan Temple is a local temple in Qishan, located in the southwest of Qishan County, and it has been abandoned for a long time, until recently The monk who lives in the temple. I said to Kido Kana: "It seems that we have to go to Shengyan Temple to see." Kido Kana gave a "hmm" and squeezed my hand.Since that strict style appeared on the head of the Golden Buddha, it means that the craftsmen must have reference when casting the Buddha, and this reference is likely to be in the Shengyan Temple.

Brother Hu received the money, he was in a good mood, and he turned around and shouted. Not long after, Second Master Qin, who was wrapped in bandages, turned around from behind, still holding Long Wenjue in his hand. When he saw it was me, there was a look of resentment in his eyes.Brother Hu grimaced and said, "You take them to Shengyan Temple tomorrow, no mistakes are allowed." Qin Erye had a face of reluctance, but he didn't dare to show any resistance. He handed Long Wenjue over to us, and walked away tremblingly, still limping, probably the last time he was beaten badly. That night, I slept at Ji Yunfu's house, and Kana Kido went back to the hotel in the county. On the second day, we drove the jeep, Qin Erye led the way, and drove towards Shengyan Temple at high speed.Along the way, Qin Erye didn't say a word except to guide the way, obviously holding a grudge.I wanted to strike up a conversation with him, but I was always pushed back by him saying "You are so good at pretending to be a pig and eating a tiger, I dare not say".

Shengyan Temple is located in the southwest of Qishan County, less than three kilometers away.Qin Erye didn't dare to lie about the direction, so he took us along the road and arrived at our destination in a short time.It is located on the top of the plateau on the north bank at the confluence of the Zhougong River and the Hengshui River. The terrain is quite high. In terms of Fengshui, it is indeed a good place to build a temple. When we arrived at the gate of Shengyan Temple, I asked Qin Erye if he would follow us in.Qin Erye twisted his neck: "No, I'll walk back by myself!" He turned around, spat hard on the ground, and limped away.

The gate of the ancient temple is half destroyed, and there are blue marks everywhere. Although it has been rebuilt, it is hard to hide the decadence. One of the two big trees in front of the temple gate has been half down, and the other has long since died, leaving bare dead branches hanging down, which have not been cleaned up.Standing in front of this temple, I can feel a sense of simplicity and desolation.Kido Kana muttered to herself, she didn't know what she was talking about, she took out her camera, and first took a photo of the mountain gate. Yesterday Kana Kido had requested relevant information from the Bureau of Cultural Heritage.Shengyan Temple is an ancient temple. It is impossible to test when it was built. The earliest reconstruction was in the seventh year of Jingtai in the Ming Dynasty. Rejuvenate.

This temple is not considered a tourist attraction, and no one charges. We walked inside and walked through the square all the way. Occasionally, a few villagers passed by, and they just glanced at it and continued on. We walked through the Bell Tower, Drum Tower and Tianwang Hall from the square, and we can see many common temple statues such as Buddha statues, Bodhisattva statues and Vajra statues at the corners of the side halls along the way. However, these stone statues were either smashed to a blurred face, or the entire head was cut off, and few of them were complete. When we came to the Daxiong Hall, the core of the temple, we found that there was only a messy stone foundation left in front of us, and all the wooden structures were gone—it is said that it was all destroyed by a fire during the "Cultural Revolution". Ironically, a small incense burner was placed in front of the hall by someone, and a few sticks of incense were stuck in it crookedly, half dead.It seems that there are still some villagers here who will come to offer incense, but I don't know why they are praying to the ruined walls. We continue to walk back.Functional buildings such as the Avalokitesvara Hall, the Sutra Library, the Huayan Hall, and the Zen Room in the back were also mostly damaged.Wooden statues, golden statues, and bronze statues are definitely not left. Fortunately, a small number of stone statues in secluded corners or in the recesses of the mountain wall still retain their original appearance.Kido Kana and I inspected carefully and found that these Buddha statues can be traced back to the Ming Dynasty, but the shapes are all typical Chinese style, and none of them are similar to the golden Buddha on Hu Ge's neck. We wandered around for a long time, but found nothing, and asked a few monks passing by.But they were all sent to Shengyan Temple to supervise the reconstruction recently, and they don't know anything about the previous things. "Xu Sang, what kind of Buddha is that?" Kido Kana suddenly pointed to a stone statue and asked. This stone statue is hidden behind a protruding rock, with a big poplar tree behind it and traces of an incense altar in front of it.The upper half of the stone statue's body is gone, only the body remains.I took a glance and saw that the stone statue was wearing a skirt armor, with a long weapon handle leaning against it, and a few strands of beard hanging down near the waist. I couldn't help laughing and said: "This man is in your Japanese , is also very famous, it can be said that it is a household name." "Ah? Really? A Chinese that everyone in Japan knows?" Kido Kana was surprised. "Because this is a statue of Guan Gong." I pointed at the beard hanging down from the stone statue.Among the gods enshrined in Chinese temples, apart from Guan Yu, there is no second person who has such a long beard. After I finished speaking, I stroked my beard with my right hand and held the knife in my left hand, posing a staring posture of Guan Yu in Peking Opera, and Kana Kido let out a "puchi" sound. "But why did Guan Yu appear in a Buddhist temple?" "Guan Yu is regarded as a patron saint in Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism, so in temples all over the world, there will be statues of Guan Yu God, which is similar to the Dharma Protector Jialan God. It is also a fusion of Chinese Buddhism and local traditions. testimony." "Then when did Guan Yu change from a human general to a Buddhist deity?" Kido Kana raised his face and asked curiously.I happened to have received a statue of Guan Yu before, so I studied several books on the evolution of Guan Yu worship, and knew a little about it, so I told her: "This is a long story. Add titles, and slowly change from a military general to a famous general, and then to a god general." "You really know a lot." Kido Kana was greatly admired.I blushed, not long ago I had a big somersault in front of Ji Yunfu, and I couldn't bear to hear this kind of compliment. "No way. This is also a business need... Let me tell you a story. I received a bronze statue of Guan Gong before. It was very exquisite, and it was said to be a Song product. I saw the words on the back of the bronze statue. "A few words, I'm happy, saying that you are definitely not from the Song Dynasty. Why? Because Guan Yu's title in the Song Dynasty was called "King Zhuang Miaoyi, Yongwu An Yingji". Later in the Yuan Dynasty, the word Zhuang Miao was not majestic enough. , it was changed to 'appearance'. Therefore, which dynasty and generation Guan Gong looks like, you can tell just by looking at the title." Kido Kana listened very seriously: "I have also seen traces of Guan Yu's worship in Japan, and it must have the same origin as China." "Well, that's right..." I agreed casually, and patted the dilapidated statue of Guan Gong. I was calm on the surface, but my heart was like boiled dumplings, ups and downs. It turns out that I have always had a question that I can't figure out: Why did Xu Yicheng let Zheng Hu come to Qishan to cast bronze Guan Gong? What does this action have to do with the head of the Jade Buddha? Now, seeing this half-length statue of Guan Gong enshrined in Shengyan Temple, I vaguely captured a hint of inspiration. If I remember correctly, Guan Yu was formally introduced into Buddhism in the twelfth year of Emperor Kaihuang of the Sui Dynasty. At that time, the eminent monk Zhiji gave Bodhisattva precepts to Guan Yu's soul in Yuquan Mountain, making him a Buddhist disciple.During Wu Zetian’s time, Shenxiu, the founder of the Northern School of Zen—the deadly enemy of the Sixth Patriarch Huineng—built the Datong Zen Temple in Yuquan Mountain, and for the first time named Guan Yu the Dharma Protector Jialan God, officially introducing the Buddhist god system. And it was this Shenxiu who was later invited to Chang'an by Wu Zetian to make offerings. He was known as the "Lord of the Two Capitals" and "Teacher of the Three Empires". Since Shenxiu entered Chang'an, it is not surprising that the worship of Guan Yu entered the upper class; as Shenxiu was an authority in Buddhism, Wu Zetian would ask him for advice on building Buddha statues. This connection is very far-fetched, and there is still a lack of key evidence But after all, let me touch a little doorway. I was meditating as I walked, and I had to be careful not to let Kido Kana see it—she didn't know about Zheng Hu and Bronze Guan Gong.Kido Kana didn't feel suspicious, and kept taking pictures with the camera. At this time, an old Taoist stood in front of us. Yes, I read that right, it is an old Taoist priest in the monk's temple. This Taoist priest has gray hair, pair of eyes, a loose bun, and a dirty Taoist robe. He looks a bit like the Immortal Lu Li in TV dramas. He also carried a small flagpole and a small maza in his hand, and the word "fortune-telling" was written on the flagpole. "These two, do you want to come to have a fortune-telling? No money is not allowed." The old Taoist opened his mouth and spoke fluent Mandarin, as standard as a news broadcast announcer. Kido Kana and I were overjoyed, and I said, "You are a Taoist disciple, why did you come to the Buddhist temple to do this? Aren't you afraid that the Buddha will say that you are robbing business?" The old Taoist raised his chin and looked disdainful: "Let me tell you, serious monks don't know how to tell fortunes. In the 13,600 volumes of Buddhist scriptures, there is no sentence that teaches people to ask gods and divination. Therefore, all monks who ask for fortune tellers will not tell fortunes." They are wild monks who don’t follow the precepts, just fooling fools and thugs. We Taoist priests do fortune-telling, which is our job.” I heard what he said was interesting, so I simply stopped and reported my horoscope. The old Taoist poked the flagpole on the dirt, tied it with the little horse, and sat down with the golden sword of the big horse. He pinched his fingers and counted a few times, and opened his eyes with a "shua": "You have a good fate, you are cutting in the mountain road." I clicked. Someone told me my fortune before, and that's what I said.It seems that this old man really has two tricks.I quickly asked him: "Then can you see my recent fortune?" The old man squinted at Kido Kana: "I don't know anything else, I am sure that I will commit a crime." Kido Kana also came over curiously and asked him Palmistry. The old Taoist squeezed her hand, looked at her and said, "You are not a Chinese citizen, but rather someone from overseas." She was very surprised, and asked him how he could tell, the old Taoist smiled and said, "Your passport has been lost. It's..." Kido Kana quickly lowered her head and saw her passport with "Japanese Passport" written on it fell on the ground. We all laughed, thinking that the old man was really interesting. He said: "Seeing that you guys hit it off, I'm an old man. Let me tell you the truth. For fortune-telling, three points depend on the sky, and seven points depend on the look of your eyes. Look at your clothes and manners, and talk a few more words, and you can guess the origin. Ten. If you follow the history, basically you can’t go wrong.” "Are you not afraid that we will call you a liar if we don't give you money after hearing the truth?" "Old Daoist, I just looked over and knew that the two of you are not that kind of people." "Then who are we?" "Hey, you are all smart people. You may not believe me when I tell you the horoscope; but to tell you the truth, you must think I am interesting, and you will definitely give me money." I couldn't help laughing at what the old man said, and wanted to give him money, but when I touched my pocket, I remembered that I just threw it all at Brother Hu.Seeing this, Kido Kana took out a one hundred yuan ticket from her wallet and handed it to the old man.The old man was taken aback, and kept saying that this was too much, I said you just accept it, it is also fate, so he took it tremblingly, folded it several times, and put it in his arms. With this hundred yuan at the bottom, we got acquainted quickly, and we simply sat down and chatted with the old man.The veteran did not shy away from talking about his own experience. His secular surname is Xie, and he was originally a young novice monk in Shengyan Temple. Later, he was too poor and quit, and went to Qingcheng Mountain in Sichuan to join the Taoist sect. During the "Cultural Revolution", Shengyan Temple was burned and the monks were dispersed, but Qingcheng Mountain remained motionless, allowing Xie Laodao to escape. After the reform and opening up, the religious circle was lifted and revitalized, so he ran back to Qishan and wandered around temples and Taoist temples. "So you are very familiar with the Shengyan Temple before it was burned down?" I asked casually. Xie Laodao patted his chest: "Needless to say, I'm as familiar as my own family." "Then you know what Buddha statues are there?" Xie Laodao said: "That's natural. When I was a little novice, I liked counting Buddha statues the most." I asked Kido Kana to show the photo of the head of the Jade Buddha to Xie Laodao: "Look, is there anything similar to this in this temple, especially this one." I specifically pointed to the location of Dingyan.Xie Laodao squinted his eyes and looked at it for a long time, and said: "It seems that there is such a statue... I remember that there was a Vairocana Buddha at the back of the Buddhist temple, and the top of the head is similar to this one." Kido Kana and I stared in horror. The old Taoist said again: "But looking at the face in the photo, it looks like the big Buddha at Longmen." "Oh? Have you seen the Great Buddha of Lushena in Longmen?" Xie Laodao looked angry: "You look down on people! When I was a monk, I studied Buddhism intensively, and it's not like I didn't have an order." He rubbed his nose and put on a lecture pose: "The Great Buddha of Lushe is It was carved according to Wu Zetian's appearance, you know that?" "Know." "But do you know why Wu Zetian chose Lusana Buddha as his statue?" Kido Kana and I shook our heads together. Xie Laodao was very proud, and turned his feet upwards: "Lushena Buddha is one of the three avatars of the Buddha, called Sambhogakaya Buddha, 'Lushena' in Sanskrit means vast wisdom, universal light, and Empress Wu Zetian. The word '茵' can be printed together." "Leave it alone for now, let's talk about the Vairocana Buddha you just mentioned." I'm afraid he's going too far. Xie Laodao stared at him: "No culture! When the Buddha established his name, he named Dharmakaya Buddha and Sambhogakaya Buddha together to express the essence of Dharma and Sambhen Buddha. Therefore, Lushana Buddha is Vairocana Buddha. The abbreviation of the two is the same thing. If you want to talk about Vairocana, how can you not mention Lushana?" My heart moved: "That is to say, Vairocana Buddha and Lushana Buddha have different names and the same body, and they are the exterior and interior of each other?" Xie Laodao said: "That's right. When it comes to Buddha statues, these two Buddhas are usually offered facing each other. If you worship Lushana Buddha in the open place, you must also worship a Vairocana Buddha in a remote place, and vice versa. One method, one Buddha. Only in this way is it in line with the profound meaning of Buddhism—but this Shengyan Temple is very strange. There was a stone statue of Vairocana Buddha at the back of the original temple. No one knows how many years old it is. But no one has seen it." "Is the august statue of Vairocana Buddha the same as the one in the photo?" "Almost. I remember quite clearly that the Buddha was very popular at that time, and many devotees went to worship it. The temple also sold a lot of small golden Buddhas that were consecrated, and they came according to its appearance. Vairocana The name "Buddha" is too awkward to pronounce, and the local people call it the "Golden Top Buddha" because of its austerity and uniqueness. "Can you show us around?" "Okay, anyway, I don't have much business today. But the Buddha statue has long since disappeared, and now there is only a big puddle left." Xie Laodao got up, put away the ponytail, and led us to the back of Shengyan Temple. He was familiar with the road, and took us to the back temple in a short while. This place used to be a secluded Buddhist monastery with all the abbots, but due to years of disrepair and overgrown weeds, several construction workers were slowly repairing the roof.Xie Laodao walked to a fence: "This is it." We took a look, and sure enough, as he said, there was only a large dry puddle left here, not to mention the Buddha statue, even the base was gone, and the red and yellow dry soil was exposed on the edge of the puddle. Compared with the surrounding grass, it looked like a A man had a rash on the top of his head. Kido Kana asked: "Since the incense of this Buddha is so strong, why should it be placed in the Zen courtyard instead of moving to the main hall or the front yard? This is the residence of the monks. Wouldn't it be very inconvenient for pilgrims to come to worship? " Xie Laodao was stunned by the question, and then he replied: "The body of the Tathagata Buddha has been enshrined in the main hall, so how can doves occupy the magpie's nest..." Xie Laodao realized that the idiom was used wrongly, knocked his head, and changed his words Said: "How good is one Buddha and two worships? Besides, it is said that the golden-topped Buddha stood there when the temple was established, and it has never been moved for so many years. Even if the monks in the temple want to move, the lamas will not move." Do it." "Lama? Isn't Shengyan Temple a Zen temple?" "It's not far from Linxia and Gannan, and lamas often come to visit. They don't do anything else, just come to worship Vairocana Buddha. They donated a lot of sesame oil, and the temple agreed." "Why did they do that?" Xie Laodao raised a finger: "Have you even forgotten this bit of common sense? What is the other name of Vairocana Buddha? Great Sun Tathagata! That is the highest god of Tibetan Tantric Buddhism!" Hearing this sentence, I felt as if I had been hit in the head, and I could hardly stand up. How could I be so stupid!Even this most basic common sense has been forgotten! The supreme Great Sun Tathagata enshrined in Tantric Buddhism is Vairocana Buddha! It is not surprising that the top of the Buddha's head is strict in Tibetan style. I am familiar with these Buddhist common senses. However, the head of the Jade Buddha is, after all, a work of the early Tang Dynasty. At that time, Buddhism had just sprouted in Tibet, and the face of the Great Sun Tathagata was quite different from the later shape, so I didn't recognize it at all.It wasn't until Laodao Xie reminded me that I suddenly remembered that there was still such a connection. The statue of Guan Yu, the protector of Jialan God. Then the jade-made Tathagata in the Tianming Hall. The austerity of Tibetan Buddhism. Vairocana Buddha and Lushena Buddha facing each other. These fragmentary clues swirl in my mind, forming a huge vortex, lingering.I try to fish them up, try to discover the connection, but I always feel powerless. Old Taoist Xie saw that my expression was not right, and asked me if I was not feeling well.He took out a bottle of pills from his pocket, and boasted that besides learning Taoism, he also studied medicine, combining the Taoist way of keeping in good health, he could combine elixirs and cure all kinds of diseases.I declined his kindness, and asked again: "You said that the two Buddhas made offerings to each other, so where is the Lusana Buddha who made offerings to Dari Tathagata in Shengyan Temple?" Xie Laodao thought about it in confusion, and replied: "No." "No?" Hearing my question, Xie Laodao's authority seemed to be hurt: "There are a total of 137 statues in Shengyan Temple. I remember every old Daoist clearly, and I can't make mistakes." I said "Oh", Nod your head and let him go. We left Shengyan Temple quickly, drove back to Qishan County, and sent Xie Laodao into the county town by the way.He rushed to us, turned around and got into a farmers' market, not knowing what business he was doing.Kido Kana asked me whether to go back to the hotel or where to go, I said to go to Xinhua Bookstore first. So we went to Xinhua Bookstore and bought a large-scale map of the vicinity of Baoji City, and bought a Chinese atlas by the way.Kido Kana looked puzzled, but didn't ask. After returning to the hotel, I spread the map on the bed, looked at the map for a long time with a magnifying glass, and measured it with a ruler. I raised my head and said to Kido Kana: "I think I know..." "What did Xu Sang know?" Kido Kana blinked. I said word by word: "I found out where our ancestors went in the two months when they disappeared in 1931." Kana Kido's hands trembled when he heard this, and he almost dropped the water glass on the ground.I checked the window of the hotel, closed the door again, turned around and said seriously: "Miss Kido, before that, I want to confirm one thing with you." "Please say." "What is your real purpose for returning the Jade Buddha head?" Before Kana Kido spoke, I added another sentence: "Please don't say such nonsense as friendship between the two countries or atonement for grandfather. I won't believe it." The atmosphere in the room suddenly became awkward. If she really wanted to return the Buddha head to atone for her grandfather's sins, the logical thing to do would be to make a statement in the media and then coordinate between the Chinese government and the Institute of Northeast Asian Studies. As the successor of the Buddha head, she should have enough influence to facilitate cooperation. In fact, instead of going back to Japan and the Institute of Northeast Asia to mediate, she only came to China with a bunch of old photos of the Jade Buddha's head to inquire about the news. things, at least not right now. After looking at the map just now, I have a fairly reliable guess. If this conjecture is confirmed, then the mystery of 1931 will be a big step forward. At this critical moment, I must be cautious. If Kido Kana can't be completely trusted, I'd rather not say it. Seeing my doubts, Kido Kana's expression became a little bitter. She lifted her hair roots, bit her lip, and sat on the sofa silently.I didn't press to ask, but looked at her coldly with my arms folded. After a long time, she raised her head: "If I tell you, Xu Sang, will you still be with me?" "It depends on what you're talking about." Kido Kana said: "Even if I tell the truth, how can I convince Xu Sang?" I replied, "Of course I can hear it." Kido Kana shook his head with a wry smile: "So, what about me?" Only then can I confirm that you, Xu Sang, have no reservations about me?" Her rhetorical question made me choke.Indeed, trust works both ways, and she certainly didn't tell me the full truth, and I didn't tell the whole truth.Do you want to show all your cards at this time?I hesitated for a moment, and then suddenly realized that I had been tricked! This is a temptation of Kido Kana. When she saw my flinching eyes, she knew right away that I also had something to hide from her. This woman is amazing.I wanted to be the first to sniff out her bottom line, but instead she made a move without showing any trace. But Kido Kana's big eyes were not proud, but still had a sad look of being misunderstood. She stared at me for a while, then suddenly suggested: "Xu Sang, I think there is a way for us to stop doubting each other and truly become reliable partners." "what?" "We, um, got married." Kido Kana whispered, her voice trembling slightly. "Get married!" I was taken aback by her unconstrained thinking, which must have jumped too much. Kido Kana blushed, but she still mustered up the courage to say: "Yes, get married. Our two families have had entanglements since our ancestors. After we become a couple, we will become one from now on, and we can share this destiny. Any estrangement." This woman's way of thinking is really different from ordinary people.I thought for a long time before murmuring: "Even if we want to get married, it's too late. My household registration is still in Beijing." Kido Kana said: "As long as we confirm the relationship, the legal procedures can be made later." My face became extremely strange: "How do you determine the relationship?" At this time, we were a man and a woman in the hotel room, and the atmosphere was a bit ambiguous.Kido Kana probably guessed my thoughts, shook his hands angrily and shyly, and said angrily, "I mean, get engaged first." I slapped my head and sighed secretly thinking too much.Kana Kido poured two glasses of white water and handed me a glass: "If Xu Sang doesn't mind, I invite you to drink this glass as a testimony of our engagement." I held the glass, not knowing what to say.Kana Kido tapped her cup lightly on mine and drank it all in one gulp. "We will work hard together with Xu Sang in the future, please take care of me." Kana Kido bowed deeply after seeing me finish drinking, showing a happy smile, like a married Nadeshiko Yamato. This well-behaved and docile appearance made me a little dizzy, and there was a subtle sense of unreality, just marrying a wife in such a muddle? Kido Kana put down the cup, sat on the edge of the bed, and held my hand with both hands: "Since Xu Sang is my fiance, I can share everything about me with you." "Well, I'm listening." I replied without pulling my hand away. Kido Kana said: "First of all, I have to make one thing clear. The information I provided to the Chinese side before, including what I told you, is all true and there is nothing false. It's just that I concealed one thing at the time. Something I can't tell outsiders." Speaking of this, Kido Kana gave me an ambiguous look, meaning that now I can tell you. "The relationship between our Kido family and this jade Buddha did not start with my grandfather, Professor Kido Yuzo..." Kido Kana said in a calm voice, as if he was defending a thesis in an academic hall. "According to the incomplete records left by the Kido family, the earliest probably dates back to the Tang Dynasty." "Tang Dynasty? Isn't that the same time as the production of the Jade Buddha?" I didn't expect it to be so early. "Well, it's almost there. According to my grandfather's research notes, there was an envoy from my family who sent Tang Dynasty to Tang Dynasty, and he accidentally saw this Jade Buddha in Luoyang. What happened between him and the Jade Buddha? The historical records are vague. But after he came back, he never forgot about the Jade Buddha, so he left this wish to his descendants, hoping that future generations can visit this Jade Buddha again one day." "That is to say, didn't Kido and Xu Yicheng accidentally discover this Jade Buddha head during their investigation? As soon as Kido Yusan came to China, he wanted to find the Jade Buddha?" "Yes. The 'China Fengtuhui' at that time formulated a plan. They collected all kinds of Chinese documents and records kept in Japan, and formulated a "China Antique Account", which listed more than one hundred items that have not yet appeared in the market. At the same time, there are precious ancient relics that can be traced with sporadic clues, including the Zetianmingtang Jade Buddha recorded in the documents of the Kido family. The people of the research association are very interested in the Zetianmingtang Jade Buddha, and think that its value is better than a museum .My grandfather came to China with this mission.” "Then he met my grandfather, and the two of them were like-minded, and they went to get the Jade Buddha head away together?" My voice was full of bitterness, helplessness and a hint of sarcasm. Kido Kana's body froze, and his voice suddenly became louder: "But, my grandfather's original intention was definitely not to go to other countries to steal antiques. He is a person who loves ancient things and doesn't care about politics. He just hopes to see The Jade Buddha that the Kido family dreamed of is enough." "But he brought the Jade Buddha back to Japan after all." "My father is a simple archaeologist. In his mind, the country and race are not as important as the study of cultural relics. What's more, the only thing my grandfather brought back to China was the Buddha's head. For this reason, he has been melancholy for a long time. Others think that he did not It's a pity to get all of the Jade Buddha, but I know that my grandfather is actually sad because he let a precious cultural relic be separated." Seeing my expression, Kana Kido was not very convinced, and added: "Didn't Ji Yunfu say that today? Your father, Professor Xu Heping, suddenly decided to go to Xi'an and brought two notebooks with him. I am a little suspicious now. The two notebooks were given to Xu Heping by my grandfather to atone for sins." I almost jumped up from the sofa: "What's going on?" "The Kido notebook was found in a secret compartment at home after my grandfather died of illness, and it was put into a private museum after discovery. But I checked later, and the size of the secret compartment was obviously customized according to the width of the notebook. Yes, but its depth is enough to hold three notebooks. I have always wondered if there is more than one notebook. Now after hearing what Ji Yunfu said, I am more sure. Two of the notebooks were returned to your father, so Professor Xu Heping went to Qishan." "But, why only give two copies instead of returning all three?" I still don't understand. "Probably he wants to keep some souvenirs for himself." Kido Kana sighed softly, "My grandfather was very lonely in his later years. The Buddha's head was collected by the Northeast Asian Research Institute. He hardly saw it, and his family almost ignored it. He. The only thing that carries the memory is this notebook. This time I said that I want to return the Buddha's head to China. The real purpose is to take this opportunity to fulfill the long-cherished wish of my family and my grandfather to find the Buddha's body that disappeared back then. Let the Jade Buddha combine two into one. As for the ownership of the Jade Buddha itself, it doesn’t matter whether it is in China or Japan. As long as the treasures are restored, my grandfather will be happy.” "For this matter, you did not hesitate to fall out with the people from the Northeast Asian Research Institute, and even traveled all the way to China to enter into a marriage contract with a strange man without authorization. How could you have such deep affection for a grandfather whom you have never met? Feelings?" "This is the blood of the so-called family. Isn't Xu Sang also working hard for the grandfather who has never met?" Kido Kana asked back. Our eyes met, and suddenly we all understood.Decades ago, two people from the Xu family and the Kido family embarked on a journey to find the Jade Buddha; decades later, the descendants of the same two families embarked on the same road. It is inevitable. In fact, we are all the same kind of people, with idealistic tendencies, and will stubbornly insist on some seemingly meaningless things, and pay all the price for it-this is the "family blood" that Kido Kana said. Kido Kana and I looked at each other and smiled.Only then did I realize that she had snuggled up to my shoulder unknowingly, leaning slightly towards me, maintaining an intimate and ambiguous posture. In order to avoid embarrassment, I coughed and said, Miss Kido, let me tell you about my discovery today. "what is that?" I breathed a sigh of relief.
