Chapter 45 Chapter Forty-Five

Bella sat in a Louis XIII chair, her ankles crossed, her hands on her knees. In the marble fireplace to the left, a roaring flame crackles and a cup of Earl Gray tea sits at the elbow.Marisa was sitting on the hardcover sofa opposite, fiddling with a bunch of yellow silk embroidery in her hands, her movements were light and soundless. Bella just felt like screaming... She jumped up, the instinct in her body kicking, Thaddist... Thaddist was nearby. "What's wrong?" Marissa said. Footsteps at the front door sounded like drumbeats, and a moment later Sardiste was in the lounge. He was dressed in combat gear, with a pistol at his waist and daggers crossed across his chest. The dog servant came in after him and looked at him, his face stiff and expressionless with horror.

"Let us both talk alone," Saddiste said to Marisa. "And, take your servant away." Seeing Marisa's hesitation, Bella cleared her throat: "It's okay, I'm fine... let's go." Marisa nodded slightly: "I won't go far." Bella remained still, and the two were finally alone again. "I need you," Saddiste said suddenly. She could not help but narrow her eyes.God, that's what she's been wanting to hear. But it was too late, too cruel. "Ferry sucked your blood." "yes." "I need your help finding him."

"He's gone?" "He has your blood in his veins, I want you..." "Look for him, I heard it. Tell me why." But that short silence made her feel cold all over. "The second man got him. David got him." She just felt that all the air had left her lungs, and even her heartbeat had stopped: "Why...?" "I don't have time to explain." Sardiste stepped forward, as if to grab her hand, but stopped halfway, "Please, you are the only one who can let me find him, because your blood flowed in his body too." "Of course...Of course, I will help you find him."

By blood connection, she thought.Because of eating, she could sense Ferry's location. And, after she'd sucked blood from Sardiste's throat, he could track her down, too, for the same reason. He leaned in front of her: "I think after you find him, wait fifty meters away, don't get close, understand? Then you just disintegrate and teleport back." She stared into Sadist's eyes: "I won't let you down." "I wish there was another way to find him, too." Oh, that sentence hurts. "no doubt." She left the lounge, fetched her coat, and stood in the hall. She closed her eyes, and the sense cues came alive in the air, through the entrance wall, then the outbuildings of Haverth's house. She felt over bushes and lawns, through trees and houses...cars and trucks and buildings, over parks and rivers and streams, far to farms and mountains...

She found where Ferry was, and a scream of pain hit her, as if from his body. She swayed, and Sadist grabbed her arm. She pushed him away: "I found him. Oh, God...he..." Sardist grabbed her arm again, grasping very hard: "Fifty meters, can't get any closer. Do you understand?" "Got it, let me go now." Walking out the front door, she disintegrated and teleported, appearing about twenty meters away from a cabin in the woods. She felt Sadiste appear beside her. "Go." He whispered, "Get out of here." "but……" "If you want to help, get out of here so I don't have to worry about you. Let's go."

Bella took one last look at him, disintegrated and teleported away again. Sadist sneaked in quietly, approaching the wooden house, the icy air helped him expel a lot of remaining morphine from his body.He leaned against the rough-hewn wooden wall with his back, drew out his dagger, and peeked into the window. There was no one inside, just a few rough pieces of furniture and a computer. Anxiety was pounding his heart, raining ice into his blood. Then he heard noises, a thump, another thud. Twenty-five meters away there was another small, windowless house. He ran over, listened carefully for a moment, replaced the dagger with a Beretta pistol, and kicked open the door.

The scene in front of him seemed to be a repeat of his past: the man chained to the table was ripped apart, and another madman stood next to the victim. Ferry lifted his disfigured face, blood spilled from his swollen lips, his nose completely caved in.The second man was holding the brass shackles, and was a little confused for a moment. Sadist pointed the gun at the son of a bitch, but the killer was standing right in front of Ferry, and if he missed it the bullet would have hit his brother.Sadist had to lower his gun, aimed at the secondary man's leg and pulled the trigger. The bullet shattered his knee and the bastard yelled and fell to the ground.

Sadist rushed towards him, but just as he grabbed the undead monster, there was another gunshot. Painful shocks shot into Sadiste's shoulder. He knew he had been shot, but he didn't have time to think about it now.He was focused on controlling the Second Man's gun, and the bastard was trying to take Sadist's pistol as well. The two struggled and rolled to the ground, both trying to grab each other, regardless of the blood all over their bodies. The two fought each other, choked each other with their hands, and kicked their feet.During the fight, the two guns had fallen elsewhere.

Four minutes later, Sardiste's strength began to alarm, weakened, and the flag of surrender was raised, and he was pinned down, and the secondary man sat on his chest.Sadist pushed hard, directing his body to overturn the weight on him.Although the brain gave orders, the limbs refused to carry out.He looked over his shoulder, a bloody patch on his back. There was no doubt that the shot had hit an artery, and the pain-relieving effect of the dose of morphine was gone. During the interval of the battle, the second life was panting and trembling, as if his leg injury was tormenting him: "Fuck... who the hell are you...?"

"You are looking for...someone." Sadist returned a heavy punch, breathing equally heavily.Hell...he had to do everything in his power to keep his eyes clear, "I'm the one...to take her...from you." "How do I... know you are real?" "I watched the wound on her stomach...grow well, and watched the mark you left on her...disappear." The secondary person did not move. It felt good to have the upper hand, but Sardiste was getting worn out. "She's dead," the killer murmured. "No." "Her portrait." "She's alive and breathing. And you'll... never find her."

The killer opened his mouth wide, and a roar like a shock wave erupted from his mouth. In the fog of noisy voices, Sadist calmed down instead.Suddenly, breathing becomes a breeze.Perhaps he had stopped breathing. He watched helplessly as the killer pulled out a black-bladed dagger from his body, clasped his hands together, and held it high above his head as if in slow motion. Sadist searched his thoughts cautiously, for he wondered what his last thought would be.He felt Ferry wanted to cry, and his brother would no doubt not live long.He always disappoints that man, doesn't he? Then he thought of Bella, saw her shaking in front of his eyes, tears couldn't stop falling... That figure was so clear and real... until behind the second person, her appearance really appeared. So real, as if she was really standing at the door. "I love you." Sadist muttered in a low voice, watching his knife stabbing towards his chest. "David." It was her voice. The secondary man turned around abruptly, the trajectory of the dagger's falling changed, and it landed on the floor next to Sadist's upper arm. "David, come here." Bella stretched out her arms, and the second man stood up unsteadily. "You're dead." The second man said with a trembling voice. "No." "I've been to your house... I saw the portrait. Oh, God..." The second man approached her and started to cry, leaving a long trail of black blood behind him, "I thought I killed you." "You didn't. Come here." Sadist was eager to speak, deeply doubting that this was not a scene in a dream. He wanted to yell, but what came out of his mouth was a moan of pain. Then, the second man had already thrown into Bella's arms, and began to cry regardless. Saddist watched Bella's hand wrap around the killer's back, a pocket pistol in her hand. That was the weapon he gave her when he went to her house last time. Oh, holy maiden... no! Bella was in an eerie calm, the gun raised slowly in her hand. She kept comforting her until the muzzle of the gun was level with David's head. She leaned back so that his ear was on the muzzle of the gun when he looked up at her. "I love you," he said. And at the same time, she pulled the trigger. The force of the gunpowder explosion hit her hand back, throwing off her arm and throwing her off balance. After the sound dissipated, she heard a "bang", and looked back, the secondary man was lying on the ground, still blinking. She had expected his head to blow off, or something, but the bullet left only a small, clean hole in his temple. She felt extremely sick, tried to ignore this feeling, stepped over the body, and walked towards Sadiste. Oh god, there's blood everywhere. "Bella..." His hand slowly lifted from the ground, his mouth opened weakly. She quickly stopped him, reached out and pulled out the remaining dagger from the sword sheath on his chest: "I'm going to aim at his heart, isn't it?" Ah, damn it, her voice sounded as weak as her body. "Run...from here..." "Aim for the heart, don't you? Or is he not dead yet? Thaddiste, answer me!" Sadist nodded, and she walked over to the second man, kicking him over on his side. His eyes stared blankly at her.She knew that for years to come she would encounter these eyes frequently in her nightmares. She gripped the dagger tightly with both hands, raised it above her head, and stabbed down hard.Resistance from the point of the knife made her want to vomit more, but the sound and flash of the explosion meant it was over. She fell backwards, slumped on the ground. After a few short breaths, she came to Sadiste again, took off her coat and sweater, wrapped them around his shoulders, then pulled off the belt, wrapped it around the thick clothes and tied them tightly. Sardist struggled and resisted throughout the process, urging her to leave and run away. "Shut up," she said to him, before biting her wrist, "drink my blood or die. But make up your mind quickly, because I have to check on Ferry and I To take both of you out." She stretched out her arm and placed it across his mouth.Blood gushed out, dripping onto his tightly closed lips. "You bastard." She cursed under her breath, "You're so annoying..." He suddenly raised his head and pressed against her veins, his cold lips seemed to tell her how close he was to death. At first, he sucked slowly, and then he began to swallow greedily, with a slight movement in his mouth. That kind of sound coming from such a huge warrior's body seemed very strange. It was like a starving kitten acting like a baby in front of the milk. He finally had enough, lowered his head, and closed his eyes. Her blood was seeping into him; Bella watched as he opened his mouth slightly, breathing freely. There was no time to stare at him stupidly. She got up and ran to the other side of the cabin to check on Ferry. He was chained to a table, unconscious and covered in blood.Fortunately, there are still ups and downs in the chest. Damn, those chains have the most complicated locks. She had to find a way to break the chain and get him out.She came to the left and saw a mass of macabre instruments of torture. Then she saw the body in the corner, a young girl with short blond hair. She wanted to check to see if the girl was still alive, but the tears couldn't be stopped, they flowed like a fountain. The girl has apparently fallen into the void.Bella wiped away tears and forced herself to concentrate. She had to get those who were still alive out. They're her priority, and after that...the fraternity will come here and take her... Oh my god...oh my god...oh my god. Her body trembled violently, almost hysterically. She picked up a chainsaw, pulled the switch, and dragged back and forth on the chains that bound Ferry. The harsh noise failed to wake Ferry up, which made her fear again. She glanced at Sadiste, who was struggling to lift his upper body off the floor. "I'm going to drive the truck next to the cabin," she said. "You stay here and get your strength back. I want you to help Ferry. He's cold, and the girl..." Her voice cracked , "We have to keep her..." Bella ran across the snow and into the cabin, desperate to find the keys to the truck, trying not to think about what she would do if she couldn't find them. Thanks to the mercy of the Holy Maiden, the key hangs on a hook by the door. She grabbed the keys, got into the truck, started the car and headed straight for the cabin. With a tail flick, the rear of the car faced the door. She was just about to get out of the car when she saw Sardiste staggering to the door as if drunk, with his arms around Ferry.Sadist might not be able to support the weight of two people for long. She pulled down the tailgate of the bed, and the two fell straight in.She used her feet to push their bodies, then jumped into the car bed, dragging their belts, pulling them further in.It wasn't until she was far enough inward that she rolled out of the car on the side, jumped to the ground, and slammed the fender shut. Then, he met the gaze of Upper Saddist. "Bella," his voice was soft enough to be heard, his lips pursed with sadness, "I don't want you to see these, these... ugly..." She just turned her back and didn't speak again.Moments later, she hit the gas pedal. The one-way street extending from the cabin was her only option. She had to hope she didn't run into anyone else along the way.The car turned into Highway 22 smoothly, and she prayed to the Chronicle Saintess in her heart to express her gratitude, and then drove desperately to Havers' clinic. Adjusting the rearview mirror, she looked at the truck bed.It must be cold in the back, but she dared not slow down. Maybe the cold would slow the bleeding for both of them. Oh... God. Ferry felt gusts of icy wind blow over his bald head and bare skin.He groaned and curled up.God, he's cold.Is this the experience of stepping into the void? Then thank the saint too, just once. Something moved beside him, an arm, an arm wrapped around him.Warmth passed through his arms. After shivering for a while, he allowed himself to be held tenderly in that person's arms. what is that soundClose to the ear... In addition to the howling wind, there is another sound. singing.Someone is singing to him. Ferry laughed, what a perfect ending. The angel who took him into the void had a beautiful voice. He thought of Sardiste, and compared the two, the carols he heard now were as good as the carols he had heard in life. Yeah, Sadist unexpectedly has an angelic voice, a real angelic voice.
