Chapter 6 chapter Five
On a busy European street, the killer weaves through the crowd.The killer was powerful, dark-skinned, and cunning.That phone conversation still left him feeling tense in his muscles.
Things are going well, he told himself.Even though his employer had never let him see his face, the killer was honored that he showed up.Is it true that only fifteen days have passed since the first contact with the employer?The killer remembers every word of that phone call...
"I'm Janus," the caller had said. "We're both men of the Way. We have a common enemy. I hear you're a killer for sale."
"It depends on which road you are on." The killer replied.
The caller told him.
"are you joking?"
"You've heard our name, I know that," the caller replied.
"Of course, the fraternity's name is like a thunderbolt."
"Then you suspect that I'm an impostor?"
"Everyone knows the Brotherhood is gone."
"It's just a ruse. There is no more dangerous enemy than a man who fears no one."
The killer asked suspiciously: "The Brotherhood is still there?"
"It's just more secretive than ever. Our power can be said to be everywhere... even our people have penetrated into the stronghold of our sworn enemy."
"That's impossible. They can be called an impregnable wall."
"Our hands are long."
"No matter how long it is, it can't grow to that extent."
"You'll soon believe it. The power of the Brotherhood is unquestionable, and one thing has proven it."

The caller told him about it.
The killer was dumbfounded all of a sudden: "It's unbelievable."
