Chapter 19 Chapter Eighteen

Dark Portal 亚伦·罗森伯格 11092Words 2018-03-12
Khadgar walked slowly down the corridor, expanding his senses to study the area ahead. The ogre was still there, he knew, but he didn't seem to be doing anything—no spells being cast, no rituals of any kind.He is just waiting. Waiting for Khadgar's arrival. The walkway ends just before the tower.Khadgar walked in.The room he entered was very tall, but also of a strange structure, as if it had been carved from something rather than built by human hands. At the far end of the other end stood a monstrous seat that seemed to be cobbled together from gigantic skeletons—he shuddered, thinking what kind of beast could possess such a specimen. Its high back almost touches the vaulted ceiling above. The shadowy light of the torches flickered on either side. But the throne was empty.

"My master has left," came a deep voice, and a huge figure emerged from the shadows, stopping Khadgar.Of course, Khadgar had seen ogres before, but only when hordes of ogres appeared on the battlefield, and he stood in the distance with the other mages. It was the first time he had been this close to an ogre.As he looked up... and up, he began to breathe heavily. The creature's head brushed almost to the ceiling, and despite its savage features, its deep-set eyes shone with intelligence. Then he understood what it said, and felt a little grateful for the ring in his heart. It was the ring that allowed him to understand other languages. "left?"

The ogre laughed, his teeth small and sharp, and his canines huge. "That's right," he replied. "He's been away for a while. Now he's on his way to the ceremony, and you allies are still here fighting us." The creature scowled, jaw clenched. "We may die here, but our sacrifice will ensure that the Horde lives on, conquering other worlds endlessly." "Shit!" Khadgar cursed. He already understood what happened before: the orcs played them tricks! They let the Alliance attack so easily, just so that Ner'zhul could escape. "Nevertheless, if we are fast enough, we can catch them," he told the ogre defiantly.

"You can," the ogre agreed. "But first, you have to get past me." It held up its hands, each larger than Khadgar's head. Its hands began to glow with a disgusting green light that seemed to seep from its skin. "I am Dengta, from the Shadowmoon Clan." So it will be an honorable duel. "Khadgar, from Dalaran." Khadgar raised his staff, and a bright violet light began to emanate from its tip. The ogre bowed awkwardly before attacking. Its two large hands struck forward, as if to push Khadgar back.Green light poured from its hands, a wave of energy that seemed to surround and crush the human mage.Khadgar raised his staff, and the purple light intensified.Green light waves spread out in front of him, gradually turning into nothingness.

Next it was Khadgar's turn.He pointed his staff at the ogre's chest. The violet light thrust forward, stabbing the ogre in the heart. But Dengta swung that wave of light aside with his hands, which were still glowing green, protecting him from any negative effects. "We're evenly matched," the ogre commented, clapping his hands. When it spread its hands, the darkness rolled like a tidal wave, engulfing the entire room. "Perhaps," Khadgar replied. When darkness fell, he did not move.Within seconds, he, like everything else, was out of sight. His other senses were still able to help him locate the ogre.Khadgar waited again, remaining still, before slamming his staff against the floor. The shock wave from the staff shattered the darkness like a shattered black mirror, leaving tiny shards on the floor, and the ogre was knocked to the ground. The impact received when climbing the tower was almost the same as the shock wave just now.The ogre groaned in pain.

Khadgar quickly closed the distance between the two.The light around his staff grew until it was a solid beam, and although it still had a violet hue, it was too bright. He slammed the staff surrounded by purple light hard, and pressed it against the ogre's throat.Climbing the tower screamed, and everywhere the tip of the staff went, there were traces of scorched flesh and blood. It was not magic that saved the ogre's life, but his instinctive attack. He pushed Khadgar away and managed to get to his feet, still with a burning black mark on his neck.Denta roared, bared his fangs, and charged at Khadgar, head bowed. But the human mage took a step across and dodged his attack. As the ogre charged, Khadgar swung his sword, slashing the ogre's upper arm.

Denta's roar of rage turned into a wail of pain.Green light was produced from his hand again, although this time the light was constantly trembling, and at the same time, there were dots of scarlet light flashing in it.Dengta raised his hands again, filling them with energy, until finally a ball made of magic was formed, and the power of hatred was constantly churning in the ball. With all his might, he hurled the orb at Khadgar. Khadgar watched the rapidly approaching orb calmly, then drew his own sword from its sheath. He held out his hand, palm outward. The orb of light touched his flesh, hitting the palm of his hand—and then it disappeared, completely absorbed by Khadgar.

"Thank you," he said to the startled ogre. "I feel better now." He stomped his foot forward, and the slight concussion caused Dengta to fall again. The ogre fell heavily to his knees, bowing his head.He knew that his enemy was much stronger than himself.Khadgar didn't want to embarrass him again. He raised his sword, swung it down, and slashed at the ogre's exposed neck with all his might. The mage took a step back, watching the flesh and bone being cleanly separated. The ogre's head rolled on the ground, leaving a pool of blood. At that moment, he held his breath and looked around the throne room.Although he already knew that what Dengta said was true.He looked down at the ogre's body and nodded, feeling very satisfied.Cadde hurried out, looking for Turalyon.

They need to act fast. "Good news!" Turalyon began to shout to the mage when he caught sight of Khadgar for the first time. "We have control of the fortress!" "We've been tricked," Khadgar said bluntly. "Ner'zhul is not here. He left before the attack began, and took the fetishes with him. I don't know if he took the Skull of Gul'dan with him." Turalyon stared at him. "So, these are all tricks." "And we fell for their tricks," Khadgar confirmed. Turalyon frowned, wondering if they had gained any favors. "Anyway... There is no doubt that most of their warriors are here, and we have wiped them out. We have also taken their citadel, and although Ner'zhul is no longer here, it is still Their stronghold, which now belongs to us. The fragmentation of their military strength gives us a great advantage."

"Yes, they have been unable to muster another army," Danas said.He came to them just in time to hear Turalyon's last statement. There were many dents on his armor, and there were several scars on his arms, legs, and face, but judging from the way he jumped off after reining in his horse, he was in a normal state.Glad to see his lieutenant back alive, Turalyon patted Danath on the shoulder. "Nice job," he said to Danas. "But Khadgar has some bad news. Ner'zhul is not here - it seems he knew we were going to attack, so he left the fortress before we arrived. We think he took the fetish with him .”

Now they are joined by Alleria and Kurdran.Turalyon also informed them of the news. "Okay, then we'd better go after them, huh?" Kurdran replied. "Do you know where they went?" Alleria said. "I don't know," Khadgar said. "But I can feel it." He laughed. "From the war, I learned about Gul'dan's magical aura, and I also know the magic contained in the Eye of Dalaran." He closed his eyes and whispered something incantation.Seeing this, the others took a few steps back. There seemed to be a shimmer of light in the air around Khadgar.A gust of wind came from nowhere, shaking their hair and clothes. Then, the mage's eyes suddenly opened. At that moment, his eyes shone with a bright white light, and some strange sights were faintly visible in the eyes.Turalyon shuddered and looked away. When he looked back, his friend's eyes had returned to normal. "I found them," Khadgar said, leaning lightly on his staff. "It's not easy though. It turns out they appear in two very different orientations." Alleria shook her head. "The Skull of Gul'dan and the Eye of Dalaran aren't together? Why would Ner'zhul keep an artifact out of his sight?" "I don't know, but he did. The head is in the north, and the Eye of Dalaran is heading southwest, and it should be passing through Terokkar Forest now, I think it should be called that. I sense Medivh The Book of Gul'dan was there too, which made me think that's the way Ner'zhul should go. I thought he needed the help of the Skull of Gul'dan in his mind, just like I needed the Book of Medivh and the head Like to close the portal. But now he sent the head somewhere else, don't know why." "And you need these two things? The head and the book?" Turalyon asked. "Yes," Khadgar replied. "Without them, I can't completely close those space rifts." Turalyon nodded. "Then we need to go after those two things," he decided.Turalyon looked at the others, making choices in his mind. "Danas, I think you want to kill some more orcs." "Of course, sir. Yes, I think." Turalyon sighed. It pains him to watch those he cherishes driven by a desire for vengeance. But why should he criticize others? He did not have personal experience of all his soldiers being slaughtered while he himself had to flee to seek help.Danas needs to use his own way to drive away the pain in his heart and regain inner peace, just like Alleria finally did.He needs to understand that when you fight, you can't have hatred in your heart—to fight for something, not against something. "Then, you go after Ner'zhul. He's already one step ahead of us, so Kurdran, you and your griffin riders go scouting ahead to find Ner'zhul and his accomplices. After seeing them , attack immediately - kill them, or at least delay their movement, and then report back to Danath. He will follow with ground troops." "Take some of my rangers to scout together," Alleria said. Turalyon thanked her with a slight smile, and then said to Danath, "Your task is to kill Ner'zhul and retrieve the three artifacts." "Just think I've done this, lad," Kurdran replied, turning back to his griffin.Danath nodded, saluted Turalyon, and then left the crowd to gather his soldiers and prepare them for the long journey. Turalyon turned to Alleria and Khadgar, "It is my duty to retrieve the Skull of Gul'dan and close the Dark Portal. Khadgar, you are the only one who can track that damn thing .Alelia..." He pursed his lips into a smile, "I promised you that I would never leave you behind and leave you alone." "Yes, you promised me, my love. I will never let you go again." He stretched out his hand and let Alleria hold it tightly. The two of them will never be separated again...until death at last. Maybe not that long. She smiled happily and said, "Let's go." The three turned and left the fort already occupied by the Alliance and the Dark Portal in the distance. They'll find that damned relic, close that rift, and be done.Or, sacrifice yourself in the process. "We have lost a full quarter of our strength," Kilrogg reported to Ner'zhul when he returned to Ner'zhul some time later. At this moment, the old shaman was leaning against a big tree and waiting for him. "Those dwarves know how to fight quickly and effectively, and they have the upper hand in the woods." From the old chieftain's tone, Ner'zhul could hear envy.A shrewd strategist, Kilrogg can't help but appreciate good strategy, even if it comes from his enemies. Then the blood demon came over. "The rest of their forces are still marching towards us," he confirmed. "Obviously, they sent these dwarves to lead the charge in order to inflict damage on us and slow us down." The death knight bared his teeth as he looked at the captive lying at Ner'zhul's feet. The dwarf had hummed many times, but he still did not wake up. "How far are they from us?" Ner'zhul asked. "There is still a day's journey, or two days. And judging from our current situation, we will definitely not be able to stop their offensive." Ner'zhul nodded. "Then we have only one way to go," he stated. "We must go to Auchindoun." Kilrogg was startled, his eyes popping out, though he must have known it was coming. "No...no!" he stammered. "No! We can't go there!" "Don't be like a child," Gorefiend taunted him. "We have no choice! This is the only way we can survive the Alliance army and reach the Black Temple!" But the one-eyed orc shook his head harshly. "There must be another way!" He grabbed the arms of Ner'zhul and Gorefiend with both hands. "There must be! We can't go to Aujin... we can't go there! It will be our end there!" "No," Ner'zhul replied coldly. He twisted the other's arm away and stared at the old orc. "Auchindoun is a loathsome ruin, a remnant of our ugly past, and that's all." Auchinton is more than that, that's for sure.Far more than that.Auchindoun had spent a hundred summers before Ner'zhul himself was just a baby.As always, Auchindoun at that time still belonged to the draenei, hidden deep in the Terokkar forest. The old shaman once told the young orcs that Auchindoun is the holy land of the Draenei, where they used to bury the dead and communicate with the ancestors when they came back, so they communicated with the orc shaman and their ancestors Same.Young Ner'zhul and his fellow clansmen once dived through this forest to explore its strange place. The first thing they saw was the towering stone dome. They challenged each other to see who had the guts to enter that holy place. They ran into the wide stone archway, groped around, and returned to their clan.None of them dared to enter there.Ner'zhul went further than most.He stalked into the entrance, running his palm over the rough stone. But he dared not go further into the distance. His clan's shaman once said, "The dead of the draenei guard it," and no one had ever attempted to trespass there. After that is war.The orcs are united and no longer fight each other with other clans. As a powerful whole, they attacked the peaceful Draenei and massacred them on a large scale.Ner'zhul tried not to remember his part in that catastrophic destruction, or the creature who ordered the attack on these peaceful and nonthreatening neighbors. When Ner'zhul refused to let his people be controlled by an outsider, when Ner'zhul resisted the so-called grand plan of the stranger, he was replaced by someone else. His own apprentice, Gul'dan, had voluntarily offered himself to the stranger, making a pact with him, swearing to be true to his will.In return, Gul'dan also gained great power.Gul'dan made the Horde bloodthirsty, turning the orcs into the savages they are today. After that, they destroyed the draenei and their culture.Only a few draenei escaped and hid in Auchindoun, hoping that the orcs would not follow them into their sanctuary. They are wrong.Gul'dan's thirst for power is insatiable. His new master had promised him unimaginable power if he could rid the world of the draenei. So Gul'dan selected a team of warlocks from his Shadow Council to complete this task.It is the Shadow Council who is behind the scenes controlling the Horde's Warchief, Blackhand. Rumor has it that beneath that sacred ground lies a draenei relic. Those warlocks are very sure of their success, and they have already begun to imagine the power of their artifacts in their hands. But eventually something went wrong. They found an ancient relic, but found that there was something strange in it-they set something free, although no one was sure whether it was intentional or due to their arrogance and carelessness. The escape of the creature brought the destruction of Auchindoun, the great stone dome crumbled, the magnificent temple within it was blown to pieces, and even the underground passages where the dead of the draenei were buried collapsed. The collapse of Auchindoun destroyed the forest within a few kilometers. Even the surrounding land was covered with the bones of the dead Draenei who had been resting in the underground cemetery. The land now looks even more special. desolate. Only a few members of the Shadow Council survived and escaped, returned to Gul'dan, and reported to him: the city of the graveyard is gone, and any draenei hiding in it must have been killed died. After that, no one came near it again, and to this day, orcs still deliberately avoid the Bone Wastes, the area surrounding Auchindoun. until now. "We have no other choice," Ner'zhul reiterated, staring first at Kilrogg and then at Gorefiend. "We have to go there. Some of the tunnels are sure to be undamaged, at least for a short distance. We might be able to defend them by hiding there. Without this protection, the Alliance would surely kill us all, and our race That's all for now." Kilrogg muttered in his mouth and didn't know what he was talking about. The Gorefiend looked at him disdainfully, his red eyes slightly narrowed. "Ner'zhul is right. We have no choice. But we must proceed with caution. I don't want to wake up something we can't fight." "It is so decided, then," Ner'zhul said. "Right, Kilrogg? I'd be sorry to leave you alone." The old chief swallowed hard and lowered his head. "Ner'zhul, you know I have no fear of the living, of what I can fight and tear them to pieces. But there..." He said heavily. "The Bloodbank clan will follow in Ner'zhul's footsteps." "Very well. We will be the best combination to deal with those who hide behind the high walls. Now, gather our warriors, and your death knights," he ordered his two lieutenants, "we must Get to the Wilderness of Bones as soon as possible." Kilrogg nodded and walked away.Gorefiend looked at his back, then saluted Ner'zhul, and followed the old soldier. Before he had gone too far, the other death knights had gathered around him.Ner'zhul also turned around, grasping the bag beside him with both hands, feeling the general shapes of the artifacts in the bag.Although he said a lot of big words just now, he couldn't help but think in his heart, what would they encounter in Auchindoun? Are those dead draenei still haunting it?Would they catch him and hold him accountable for the crimes he had committed as an apprentice?Or were they also aware of Gul'dan's betrayal? Can this weird ruin really serve as a shelter for them to avoid the alliance, or is it a more terrifying threat to the orcs?he does not know. But he can't think of another way, so they will find the answer to all this.Ner'zhul could only hope that he had not made a fatal decision. The tribal warriors stopped and looked ahead. They had just walked out of the end of the forest, and as far as the eye could see, it was the gray earth and scattered fragments on the ground. This is the wilderness of bones.Auchindoun stood in the middle of the wasteland, the remnants of a stone dome protruding from the ground like broken teeth.Looking further in, the broken temple was lying in the middle, looking like a smashed head half buried in the ground. Ner'zhul was also staring at Auchindoun. He couldn't help it.The last time he saw this place, the draenei's sacred and inviolable resting place was still so magnificent, so complete. But now, wide openings can be seen everywhere on the wall of the temple, and the entire part has been turned into the open air. The Terokkar forest that once bred it has also withered, and with the bones everywhere, he can hardly see it. Auchindoun in front of him was connected with the great ruins that had shocked him deeply in his childhood. The ground around me seemed to tremble. At first, Ner'zhul thought it was only because of his blood rushing in his veins, and his heart was beating violently because of the ancient city of the necropolis. Then he realized that the tremor didn't come from his body.He looked around, his orcs were either standing there quietly, or walking around silently. Some orcs were looking around, as if they were looking for the same thing as Ner'zhul. After that, he looked behind the orcs, and through the woods, he saw some swaying figures. "The League is right behind us!" he yelled.Without the obstruction of the trees, his voice was easily carried far away. "We must take cover! Enter Auchindoun! Quick!" "Move, you bastards, idiots!" Kilrogg echoed, slashing across his ax to a big tree beside him, so powerful that the trunk began to shake. The orc warriors who were still in a state of surprise just now were awakened by the sound and movement of the old chief, and ran towards the dilapidated entrance of the Draenei building one by one. Ner'zhul shuddered with terror as he passed through the great sloping doorway. Was this great cemetery still guarded by the same spirits it had been when he first came here so long ago?Or had they already left when Auchindoun collapsed? There was no time for him to think about these things now.He picked up speed, entered Auchindoun, passed through a hole, and entered what remained of the maze.Kilrogg and Gorefiend were by his side, and several of Kilrogg's most trusted fighters were around them.Auchindoun beneath the ground was larger than above, and its carvings more elaborate. Something, it seems, has survived, at least to an extent.A dilapidated archway that should have looked very elegant stood at the bottom of the stairs. On it, Ner'zhul saw some shapes. These eerily graceful carvings seemed to be more for expression than for displaying his beliefs.Thick pillars once supported the high summit here, only some of them are preserved now.Their rough, unadorned surfaces are in stark contrast to the intricately carved walls that surround them. There were many shrines carved into the walls, row after row, and within the niches something yellow and white told Ner'zhul what he would find here: bones.Apparently, all the walls contain the remains of these draenei, and it's these that have littered the Bone Wastes. Once upon a time, the ancestors of the draenei enjoyed the peace after death under the heavy stones, but later, they didn't even have this right. The floors here are also made of stone blocks. The craftsman formed a very delicate pattern with small tiles.A wide staircase connects the various floors. Ner'zhul looked down, and as far as he could see, there were at least six floors below. The deadly blast tore through their cores, leaving the rest exposed.Afterwards, the others pulled Ner'ozula into a wide tunnel that extended from this central area. "The walls here are still strong," Kilrogg said.He looked around and nodded in agreement.Ner'zhul was very pleased.Kilrogg was still scaring himself just now, which really worried him.But now it seems that Kilrogg has made up his mind, his heart is peaceful, and he will be loyal to himself. "A few places are down, but most of the ceiling is still there, and the floor can be passed by us. We can divide the soldiers into smaller groups, after all, there does not seem to be any potential threat here," he said. Point to the other end of the passage, where there is only a shadow.Ner'zhul knew he was right—there was less rubble there, and the ceiling didn't look like it had lost anything. "We can set up a defensive post here. Once we're in, it's much harder for the league to find us." "Some of the lower tunnels are still intact," Gorefiend pointed out. "Before we move forward, we should go and scout out the place. If there's nothing . . . there, maybe it would be a better idea to set up a fort there." Kilrog nodded, and ordered a few blood cave warriors to explore the rest of the tunnel, and sent a few orcs to search the nearby passages, but he also told them not to go too far. Finally, he sent the remaining orcs to move nearby rubble to the opening of the passage and build a wall as high as possible. Then he, Gorefiend, and Ner'zhul sat down, discussing the next battle strategy while they waited. A few hours later, a scout sent by Kilrogg returned. The soldier's eyes were wide open, but there was a faint smile on his face. "I've found something, you've got to see it for yourself!" "What did you find?" Ner'zhul asked. He stood up and slapped his palms on his thigh. He and the Gorefiend were discussing an emergency plan that might save them all, but they hadn't finished it yet. "I...we found something, boss," replied the warrior, his mouth now parting even further. This made Ner'zhul very excited.Whatever they found, it was clear the warrior didn't see it as a threat.Ner'zhul motioned for the orc to lead the way.He followed, out of the room they had just occupied, and down the long passage. The other orcs were gathered there, and when Ner'zhul entered, they all started to back away. "In the name of the ancestors!" Ner'zhul whispered, uttering the words from his parted lips, and took a deep breath. There were several figures standing in front of him, one was an ogre, and the others... were all orcs!Ner'zhul did not know them, and he had never seen the strange costumes and ornaments of these orcs. "Who are you?" He stopped a few steps in front of the strangers and asked. "What are you doing here? In the depths of Auchindoun?" An orc took a step forward. He was short and strong, very similar to the former Gul'dan.Judging from the stranger's facial features and standing posture, he could vaguely see the shadow of his former apprentice. The round head of the new orc glowed in the candlelight that the orc warriors had placed in the hall. The orc's long, fringed black beard was punctuated with bits of silver. The black robe he was wearing had some kind of weird rune printed on it, and there was an energy aura around him, and he held a gorgeous staff in his hand. "Ner'zhul?" he said softly, his voice rough. "Is that you? Where's Gul'dan?" "Gul'dan is dead, the traitor," Kilrogg yelled at the stranger, looking at him angrily with his one eye. "For his own ugly ambitions, he nearly sent us all to the brink. Ner'zhul ruled the Horde once again!" The stranger nodded, not looking surprised by the news. "Then I will obey your leadership, Ner'zhul," he said in a somewhat awkward manner, as if he hadn't spoken for a long time. "I'm Vorpil, I used to belong to the Shadow Council, but maybe you don't recognize me." "Vorpil!" Ner'zhul narrowed his eyes in the dim light, staring at the stranger.Yes, he is Vorpil, in his impression, he is a young Thunder King shaman with a bright future. But the Vorpil he remembered had a thick braid of hair that reached his back. His beard was also short and black. What happened to him that made him so old but also gave him such great power? Now, Gorefiend has taken a step forward, as he too was once part of Gul'dan's Shadow Council. "Vorpil?" he whispered. "Why are you here, old friend?" Vaupil let out a hiss and, like the others, jumped back.He took a good look at the death knight, fear beginning to show on his rough face. "Relax," Gorefiend raised a hand to comfort him. "It's me, Talon Gorefiend." For a while, Vorpil gazed at the Gorefiend. His eyes narrowed as he began to observe the death knight with his other senses as well. After a second, his eyes widened. "Talon Gorefiend?" he asked. "This... yes, this is your feeling, you are trapped in that pile of carrion," the orcs put down their weapons and looked at each other puzzled, but they still trusted their leader.Vorpil hesitated, and stepped forward, "What's the matter? What the hell is keeping your soul imprisoned here?" "I inhabit the body of a creature called a human," Gorefiend replied. He found that the eyes around him were still very dazed, so he added, "Gul'dan created a portal that allowed us to reach another world—Azeroth. This human is one of the many races we met there. one." "Another world?" Ner'zhul began to grow impatient. "When our world was about to be destroyed, Gul'dan opened a portal, allowing us to reach another world called Azeroth. There, we met these humans, and the soul of the Gorefiend occupied I'll tell you more in a moment, but for now, we want to hear your story, because it might help us with our predicament?" "What dilemma?" asked the larger figure that Ner'zhul had noticed earlier. He stepped forward and joined the conversation. "Are you under threat?" As Ner'zhul realized, the creature was an ogre, but he was not just an ogre. The reflection of the torch revealed a second head on his shoulder. The two-headed ogre was very rare, and the two-headed ogre magician—the dark energy emanating from the ogre told him that it was a warlock—even fewer.Ner'zhul remembered that in the upper echelons of the Shadow Council, there were only two two-headed ogres: one was Gul'dan's second-in-command, Cho'gall, and the other— "Blakeat," the Gorefiend whispered, apparently pushing that too. "Is it really you?" The creature nodded its own two heads, "Yes," one head replied, "though maybe not as you remember," the second head added. This is quite true.Ner'zhul had never communicated directly with Blackart—he recruited the ogre himself after Gul'dan took control of the Horde—but he had seen him more than once, the warrior-braided, A tall creature with piercing black eyes. That eye is gone. One of his heads has a weird metal patch over his right eye, apparently welded on, while the other has some sort of magical tattoo carved around it.His other head was covered with a hood and had only one eye, twice the size of a normal eyeball, above the nose.Blackart's body is covered in strange runes, with a huge pattern on his chest and two on each arm.The ogre wore a loose robe that covered his shoulders and then over his stomach, a belt supporting his garment. On his wrists are massive bracers, and in one overgrown hand he holds a heavy spiked warhammer.Bracata's strength and size have always been memorable, but now, he truly deserves the word savage. "I'll ask again," the ogre whispered. "What dilemma?" "The Alliance is right behind us," Kilrogg said. "Those humans we mentioned earlier, and other races who cooperate with them. They are far outnumbered by us, and we cannot fight them without help." "We can't just go down," Gorefiend added. "The fate of our people depends on Ner'zhul's success in reaching the Black Temple. There, he will perform a ritual that will save us all." He didn't explain further, but both Vorpil and Blackart nodded. "We've been here since Gul'dan sent us to sack it in Auchindoun," Vorpil told them, "surviving these passages and hoping to return to the Horde one day. Here we are. We know the ruins well, as it has been our home for many years." The others behind him nodded. "We will fight alongside you against these humans and help you defeat them." "I will kill anyone who stands in our way," Blackart agreed, raising his massive hammer. He lifted it so high that the spikes on the hammer touched the top of the hall. "We'll chop them up!" "Our ancestors smiled on us and sent you to us when we needed help," Ner'zhul said. "Understand that the Horde welcomes you once again, and welcomes you to share in the victory of our people!" The warriors around them cheered, shouting the names of "Ner'zhul!" .Ner'zhul smiled. Coming to Auchinton is really a right choice. With these newfound allies, he's sure to make it to the Black Temple in time.
