In the following day, they are all busy with planning. Who should go to Draenor?Who should stay? What necessities should they bring? How long do they have to wait? Everyone kept arguing. At first it was just an exchange, then it gradually turned into an argument, and some people even started yelling at the end.For a moment, Turalyon even thought Alleria and Kurdran would fight over how to use the griffin. In the end, the crowd drew up a plan that everyone was more satisfied with. After that, some people, including Alleria, wanted to act now. "My rangers have night vision as good as the orcs," she pointed out, "and even if you humans can't see very well at night, moonlight can help."

"No." Turalyon said firmly. "Alleria, not everyone has as good eyesight as you. And we are also very tired now. The orcs must have an advantage at night. You must have noticed that they did not attack us now." Her eyes narrowed. "No, maybe they are resting, so that they can make a comeback tomorrow morning." Turalyon paused for a moment.Alleria soon realized that what she had just said was exactly what Turalyon meant. She frowned and remained silent. "Turalyon was right," Khadgar said. "We're all tired, and death is close at hand. Our goal now is not to charge into battle with everyone's battle cry, and kill as many orcs as possible. What we have to do now is to ensure that we can reach Germany without casualties." Rano, so as to stop their plot, and not just kill the few orcs who gathered at the Dark Portal."

Turalyon thought that even though what Khadgar said was not aimed at Alleria, she was embarrassed by what he had just said.Alleria's face turned red, then paper pale, and finally she walked out of the room.Turalyon automatically tried to follow, but Khadgar grabbed his arm. "Let her go," he whispered. "If you talk to her now, it's only going to make things worse. She's just as tired as we are, and can't think things through rationally. Let her come to you." Let her take the initiative to find you.As always, Turalyon wondered, how much did Khadgar know?Did he say this casually, or on purpose?

Under the starry sky, the moonlight shines on the Fortress. "Verina, wait." Alleria and her deputy left the drawing room and walked towards their barracks.Alleria let another elf follow her down the aisle.Verina complied silently, eyeing her officer questioningly. There is no doubt that Alleria will pass through the Dark Portal with the others at dawn tomorrow, while Verina and a few others will stay here. That way they can help the Sons of Lothar if something goes wrong. "I have a special mission for you that goes beyond your military duties," Alleria began. "I may never come back. All of us may not come back. We don't know what we're going to face in that world. It's not me being sentimental."

Verina and Alleria have been good friends for decades. At this moment, although she looked a little disturbed, she nodded. "yes." "If I really don't come back... If I can't go home... please send a message to my family, tell them, I went to the world of orcs to fight, to avenge Quel'Thalas, and to make our people We will all be safe in the future." She remembered Turalyon's impassioned words—they could not allow the Horde to threaten other innocents. Her throat suddenly choked up. "Tell them," her voice sounded less melodious than usual. "Tell them that I did my best to save other worlds. I pray that those worlds don't go through the same pain that we do. Tell them that I chose to do this completely voluntarily, regardless of what happened to me... ...my heart is always with them."

Alleria rummaged through a small pocket, and finally brought out three small necklaces, each with a beautiful sparkling gemstone inlaid on it.Green emerald, ruby, sapphire.Verina looked at them, took a deep breath, and it was obvious she knew the gems. "Yes, they're from a necklace my parents gave me," Alleria admitted. "I had someone in Stormwind melt that necklace and make three lockets out of it. I'll keep this one." She took the emerald necklace and tied it around her neck. "I want to give the remaining two to Vereesa and Cirvanas, in case I..." She bit her lower lip tightly. "Please. When you can go back, take them with you and give them to my sisters. Tell them that as long as this happens, no matter what happens... we will always be together."

Verina had tears in her eyes, rolling down her face.Alleria felt a tinge of jealousy that she could still cry.The elven ranger studied the inscription on the necklace: To Sylvanas.Love you forever, Alleria. To Vereesa.Love, Alleria.Alleria knew these words by heart. "You will return, and then you can give these pendants to your sister yourself. But for now, I will keep them safe until you return. I swear to you." Verina hugged her tightly.Alleria's body seemed a little stiff. It's been a long time since she let anyone have such intimate contact with her, at least not after that night...

Alleria put her arms around her old friend, and it took a while before she left her arms.Verina wiped away the tears from her face, saluted Alleria, and hurried back to the barracks. Alleria wandered around, letting the breeze soothe her turbulent heart. Suddenly, her ears moved, and there was a sound of light footsteps in the distance. She quickly dived into the shadows. She frowned when she realized it was Turalyon.Turalyon walked to the high wall and stood with his back against it.Under the moonlight, his shoulders looked very heavy.Alleria heard someone calling her name, and her eyes saw the tears on Turalyon's face. She turned around, disappeared into the darkness, and walked back silently along the way she had just come. The conversation with Verina just now made her feel relieved, but if she talks to Turalyon now, all the achievements of her two years of hard work will be destroyed in one go.She won't take that risk.

Under the moonlight, the general of the Alliance army stood here alone.Although Turalyon had advised his soldiers to get a good night's sleep, he himself was suffering from insomnia. What Khadgar said and Alleria's expression lingered in his mind.He thought back, as he had done so many times over the past two years, to the night that had changed him completely. Turalyon could vaguely hear the soft whisper of raindrops on the tent. When he heard Alleria whispering to him, at first he thought it was just an auditory hallucination. "Turalyon?" He looked up.In the dim orange glow of the brazier, Turalyon saw Alleria, standing at the mouth of the tent. "Alelia! In the name of the Holy Light, you are drenched!"

Turalyon, clad only in a pair of linen breeches, sprang from his cot and ran to Alleria. The elf trembled all over, staring at him silently. Her eyes were wide open, and her flowing blond hair was now clinging to her head. Turalyon had a bunch of questions she wanted to ask her.Where did she just come from? What the hell happened? And more importantly, why was she here, alone in Turalyon's tent, at this late hour? All this will have to be considered later.Alleria was drenched, almost frozen, and when he reached out to remove her cloak, he found it as if it had just fallen into the water, completely wet. "Here," he said to her, throwing the damp cloak aside. "Stand by the brazier. I'll get you some dry clothes to wear."

She nodded, as if encouraged by Turalyon's pure spontaneity.Alleria spread her tiny hands over the still-glowing coals to keep warm.Turalyon frantically searched among the boxes, finally finding a shirt, a pair of breeches, a tunic, and a cloak.Although the clothes were too big for her, at least they were dry. Turalyon turned to find Alleria still motionless. There must be something wrong. "Come on," he said softly, leading her over and sitting her on the box.Compared with her usual self-controlled, even somewhat arrogant image, the current Alleria looks like a desperate child.Turalyon bit his lip, forcing himself not to ask.He knelt down and removed her shoes. There was almost an inch of water in those shoes, and her feet were as cold as ice.He vigorously rubbed Alleria's slender and pale feet until they had a little warmth.Afterwards, Turalyon rose to his feet, helping Alleria to her feet. "I got some dry clothes for you to wear," he said, turning her slightly so her back was facing the brazier. "Put on these clothes and I'll get you something warm to drink. Then we have to talk." Turalyon put the clothes in her hands and turned away, flushing slightly. He heard a soft noise behind him, and waited for Alleria to tell him when he could turn around. Turalyon took a quick breath as he felt a pair of small hands wrap around his wrists from behind, a slender figure leaning against his back.At that moment, Turalyon did not move. After that, Turalyon slowly grasped the pair of cold hands, raised them gently, and pressed those hands to his chest. His heart was beating violently. Turalyon felt her kiss on his shoulder, and trembling, he closed his eyes. How long had he been waiting for a moment?Or is it a dream of this scene?Early on, he found himself falling in love with Alleria, but he hadn't imagined that feeling would come back to him until recently.Over the past few weeks, it seemed that Alleria had been trying to get close to her, and often had physical contact with herself, although it was more like teasing. And now... "I...I'm cold..." she whispered. "It's cold." Turalyon could take it no longer, and he turned and embraced her tightly. His rough hands, callused from battle, slid along her smooth back.Turalyon marveled at how silky her pale skin was. In the dim light of the brazier, Turalyon could see a necklace hanging from her swan-like neck, with three gemstones inlaid on it, and her skin was softened by the firelight, with a Golden shine.Alleria looked up at him, Turalyon's vision blurred by the depth of emotion in the tears in her eyes. "Alelia," he whispered, leaning into the elf's long, pointed ears.Suddenly, his arms tensed, drawing the elf close to him. "Let me warm you up," he said, panting heavily. "Whatever hurts you, makes you panic, let me take it away. I can't stand this feeling, I can't let you sink in pain." He didn't do anything, and didn't say anything, for fear that she might recover at any time, tell him that she was just playing with him, and then take a few steps back to discuss tactics and other things with him.Turalyon would have no complaints if that was really what she wanted to do.If that would help her recover, if that would bring hope and life to her eyes again, if that would dispel the eerie silence, he would not regret it. She didn't get away.Instead, she raised her hands, touched Turalyon's face, and whispered, "Turalyon," before saying in her native tongue, "help me to forget." (Translator's Note: The original text is "Vendel'o eranu.", and the English interpretation is "Help me forget") In response, Turalyon cupped Alleria's cheek in his palm, feeling the slender cheekbones. He realizes that, in addition to her skill, energy and passion, she is also vulnerable. She had never shown Turalyon her vulnerability before.Drops of water trickled down her cheeks. For a moment, Turalyon thought she was crying. After a moment, he realized that it was just a drop of rain, dripping from her wet hair.Turalyon bent down slowly, kissing her tentatively.Alleria responded instantly and passionately, wrapping her arms around Turalyon's neck.Alleria whispered, "Cold, so cold..." Turalyon took a step back, feeling dizzy in his head. Turalyon wrapped his arms around her, struck again by the lightness of her body.He put Alleria on the cot, pulling the fur up over them both. They warm each other up. Turalyon rubbed his tired eyes to stop the tears that welled up in their sockets, which he insisted were from fatigue. After that night, Alleria left the next morning.Alleria and her rangers had completed their scouting mission when he emerged from his tent. There was sympathy and pain in Turalyon's eyes that dim morning. He learned that the orcs invaded Quel'Thalas with a relentless offensive, and Alleria alone lost at least eighteen relatives. And those dead also included her younger brother. He hurried to Alleria, but she turned him away when his hand touched her shoulder. He tried to talk to her, but she ignored everything he said. It's as if they've never been lovers...or even as if they've never been friends. In that moment, Turalyon felt the scar he'd been trying to ignore and let itself heal open again. He was General of the Union, and he was a leader who couldn't allow himself to wallow in his personal pain. But that day, in Stormwind City, he saw the drenched Alleria again—at that time, he even expected... Well, it was really crazy for him to do so.But Turalyon thought, maybe it would be like this for the rest of his life.No matter what happened, he would always love Alleria Windrunner, and that night would be the most beautiful and moving memory of the first half of his short life. "Here they come." Rexxar's deep voice carried his usual calmness.Grom looked in the direction he was pointing and nodded. "You guys are really here." Hellscream grabbed the Gorehowl in his hand, his eyes were full of light expecting to kill. The army of orcs left in Azeroth is definitely not a display.Today, the Alliance will confront these fearsome foes head-on. He saw many Union soldiers crossing the land of the dead, flocking to the valley. His red eyes narrowed. The alliance is almost in full swing. But where was the leader, the man who had abandoned his soldiers to warn the Union armies?Grom seemed very interested in killing him himself. Beside Rexxar, Harasa was also howling excitedly.Rexxar smiled back at his pet wolf. "Come on, little alliance," Grom whispered. "Gorehowl hasn't tasted human blood for a long time." Turalyon took the reins.Their soldiers had cleared the ring of hills surrounding the basin, facing the Dark Portal. If the orcs are really retreating, there are quite a few of them left in Azeroth. The road to the Dark Portal is not easy. They needed to fight their way through, clearing away the vicious green orcs and the tall, pale creatures who stood with them. Two warriors caught Turalyon's attention. He wasn't even entirely sure that one of them was an orc.He looks the same, but his skin is tawny instead of green, and he's much taller than the other orcs.At the same time, his physique doesn't look like everyone else's.A wolf stood beside him.It should be as intimidating as its master, Turalyon thought. He is indeed a strong fighter, but he is not a leader. There. That orc.Taller than most orcs, he had black hair pulled into a topknot, a black chin, and red eyes that glowed. On his hands he wore heavy bracers adorned with some sort of strange symbol. He looked at the large number of Alliance troops, but was unmoved by them. The eyes of the two met.Turalyon saw the orc raise a monstrously large battle-axe in salute. "You bastards, this time we came prepared." Danas muttered. His eyes were very bright, and it could be seen that he was looking forward to this battle very much, just like every soldier present. "Sons of Lothar! Go!" Turalyon yelled.Every soldier shouted his own slogan and charged down from all directions. The drums of war sounded. Their plan was simple: head straight for the Dark Portal, killing as many orcs as possible in the process.Turalyon plunged into the fray valiantly, swinging his hammer from side to side, knocking down every screaming orc that came rushing up in his path.Alleria was right next to him, looking as ruthless as ever, but she also enjoyed this kind of battle very much. Turalyon's sixth sense made him look up, only to see that just as the elven ranger brought down an orc, another orc appeared behind her, a sledgehammer in his hand.Alleria didn't seem to notice the threat - there was so much excitement on her face as she drew her sword from the orc's corpse. She's too focused on revenge... "Alelia!" Turalyon kicked the horse under his crotch and galloped towards her.Alleria looked up, eyes wide, and tried to raise her blood-soaked sword to parry the orc's swing, but she was too slow. And Turalyon couldn't get to her in time... Turalyon quickly chanted a prayer and stretched out his hands.A white light shot forward, hitting the orc in the chest. He wobbled, and finally fell to the ground, and the sledgehammer in his hand fell feebly. For a split second, Turalyon and Alleria's eyes met.A moment later, Alleria turned to attack another orc beside her, and Turalyon returned to the fight. He looked again at the leader of the orcs he had noticed earlier. The orc seemed to be dancing a dance of death in the alliance army, the sound of the battle ax in his hand piercing the air and the screams of the soldiers falling. Now he stopped and started giving orders to the orcs. Despite his might, the Alliance soldiers far outnumber the Orcs.Judging by his facial expression, he knew it too.The Alliance kept pushing forward, gradually approaching the Dark Portal. The orc seemed to have made a decision. He turned and shouted something to a cloaked figure standing by the portal, who nodded. The orc chief yelled something else. All the orcs in the valley responded to his call and began to retreat gradually away from the alliance army and toward the dark portal. Turalyon's eyes caught movement elsewhere.A cloaked figure approached the right side of the Dark Portal and pulled something near the doorpost.Turalyon couldn't make out what it was, but it must have been some kind of metal, and it still glistened in the sunlight. The way the man handled the thing made Turalyon nervous. For some reason, he recalled the conversation he had had with the dwarf McCartock. "How safe can it be?" "...I bet you that it will eventually be as safe as our most secure inventions." Suddenly the orcs were all trying to get through the Dark Portal with all their might.Khadgar had confirmed that the orcs had the artifacts they needed, and seemed ready to— "I do!" Turalyon yelled. He just hoped he was wrong. He looked over the crowd of humans and orcs on the battlefield to see Khadgar and another group of mages.Turalyon rode toward them, shouting what he had seen. Khadgar listened, frowning. "If I were them, I'd start home too—but first I'd have to destroy the portal behind me so no one can affect me." "That's what I thought too. I figured it was some kind of engineered product—something like those gnomes make." "Or goblins," Khadgar said. They both knew that the gnomes had always been on the side of the Alliance, unlike the more recent goblins. As long as there is money to be made, goblins will sell the little things they make to both camps. "Last time, we destroyed the Dark Portal together, and they can surely destroy this one. Without the help of the Book of Medivh and the Skull of Gul'dan, I don't know if I would be able to open it again." "Then do it. I'll keep them in check," Turalyon said, turning his horse and heading for the Dark Portal, with Khadgar following behind.Turalyon seemed to go crazy, and shook the orcs blocking the way.Khadgar leaned back on his saddle and swung a blow at the cloaked foe.Although he was finally able to turn to face Khadgar, he couldn't avoid the blow to the neck.Although there was no fatal blow, the man still screamed in pain, threw away the device in his hand, and stretched his hands towards his neck. Khadgar jumped from his horse and ran to grab the strange device.About the size of a small shield, it's clearly some sort of mechanism, and it's making strange ticking noises. He analyzed the object as quickly as possible, but its structure was too foreign to Khadgar. He couldn't make the thing stop.Whatever it's being used for, this thing looks like it's about to start working. The archmage roared, using his magic power to strengthen himself, lifted the thing up and threw it as far as possible. It streaked across the sky and appeared to almost brush the opposite cliff. The effect of the explosion shook the entire valley. Grom cursed secretly, and quickly squatted down to protect his head.Countless shattered stones hit his back and shoulders, causing bursts of tingling pain.He raised his head and walked towards the warlock, his heart filled with anger.Grom's fist slammed into Krakul.Krakow crouched back with panic in his eyes. "Traitor! You almost killed us all!" "No! No, I swear, they told me it was a shield, a shield that would protect us! I don't know anything!" Grom grabbed the cowering warlock with one hand and shook it, his vision turning scarlet. He wanted to crush the orc's windpipe, tear off his head and throw it away, just like the old human threw away this instrument that supposedly protected them, but ended up killing them all. "Who told you that? Tell me where he is, and see if I can't kill you!" Grom continued to shake the warlock, trying his best to control his bloodlust. "I don't know... Malka was sent to do this... He told me it was a shield—" Grom cursed, threw the poor warlock to the ground, and returned to the fight. Grom had been told that the device was a shield. With it, the Warsong clan could escape safely in their last moments. He was lied to.Someone in my power - Bloodfiend?Ner'zhul? ——Deliberately wanting these rear warriors to die here. Grom vowed to survive the war, and only then would someone pay for his mistakes, as unlikely as that seemed. After the explosion, both the Alliance and the Orcs were greatly affected, but the Alliance recovered faster than the Orc Horde.Grom was angry but helpless to see his people being driven to the southwest by humans like beasts, and there was nothing he could do about it.A group of Alliance soldiers rushed from one side, while another blocked the exit on the other side, forcing the orcs back into the mouth of a valley far away from the Dark Portal - far from their home. "So be it," Grom growled.Maybe the alliance won, but they will also pay a heavy price.Grom raised his head, opened his mouth wide, and let out a deafening scream from his mouth, making the two Union soldiers freeze in place. "Fight, Warsong Clan, fight like a true Orc! Let the lust of battle run on your blood! Rip 'em all to pieces! For the Horde!" "Somebody needs to stay here and watch," Turalyon said, reining in beside Alleria and Turalyon, waiting for Kudela to hover to a lower altitude where they could hear their conversation. "I will send some soldiers to garrison this valley entrance to prevent them from escaping again. Others..." He fell silent.Khadgar wasn't jealous of him.No one seriously wanted to go through the Dark Portal—although he had to admit that there was a part of him, the part that led him to eventually become a mage, that was full of curiosity about this unknown world. "All right," Turalyon said. "We all know our duty. Each of you, tell your soldiers that this is a voluntary expedition. If any soldier does not want to travel to another world, I will not force him. " Danas nodded, turned his horse's head and walked away, shouting slogans.Alleria turned her head to face her group of rangers, and whispered orders in the elves' unique musical language.Khadgar gave Turalyon an affirmative smile, though the paladin didn't return the smile. He whispered to Khadgar, "Alleria was nearly killed today. I almost failed to save her." "Turalyon," Khadgar whispered the same. "She is a well-trained warrior. Maybe she is stronger than you and me on the battlefield, and you know that." "It's not something I'm worried about. I know she can handle it, but that's just normal. She...she gets reckless a lot and becomes—" His voice began to tremble.Khadgar couldn't bear to look at his friend's pained face. "She puts the slaying of the orcs above her own safety," Khadgar said. "She's taking a pointless risk." Turalyon nodded sadly. "Well, Turalyon, now we're going to take the initiative and face the orcs. It's good for her, and it's good for both of you." Turalyon blushed slightly, but he didn't continue. Now, his eyes were on his soldiers.Turalyon came between them on his own horse. "Son of Lothar!" he shouted. "We have fought side by side. We have suffered casualties, we have lost and we have won. Now we will face the unknown." He saw the way Khadgar stared at him, and smiled slightly. "We're going to strike at the orcs and stop them so they don't bother us, or other innocent worlds, ever again. For the Alliance! For the Light!" He held up the warhammer in his hand, and it began to emit a dazzling white light. The crowd started to cheer.Khadgar nodded to himself. This was the uniqueness of Turalyon that both he and Anduin Lothar felt upon meeting Turalyon for the first time. Now it seems that that seems to be a thing of the past.At the time, both the Alliance Commander and the Archmage knew that the priest-turned-holy warrior was up to the challenge. He will combine his natural decency with a fierce determination that he can use to protect his people. He will lead an army through the Dark Portal and into a completely unknown new world.Khadgar wondered if his friend understood, really understood, that what he had done had greatly boosted the morale of the soldiers. And now, he's also inspiring someone special. She looked at Turalyon, defenseless against her beautiful elf face. Turalyon turned his horse's head, kicked his mount with his spurs, and crossed the rubble, heading towards the Dark Portal.Pushing, his horse hesitated, but Turalyon pulled on the reins, forcing it forward. The ever-swirling light in the door seemed to beckon him.He passed through the Dark Portal. At that moment, the green flash in the door surpassed the blinding white light on him. Then, he disappeared completely. Alleria and Khadgar followed closely behind him.The mage fought hard with his mount, and finally entered the space rift. His heart was full of curiosity.A feeling of icy traction reverberated on his body, as if a powerful current of water was pulling him.Khadgar felt chilled to the bone, and at that moment, darkness, starlight, and all kinds of strange colors mixed together before his eyes. Then, he began to materialize, and the warm air warmed his skin that had become extremely cold due to the short time travel just now. Bright...it's really bright here.Khadgar unconsciously raised a hand to shield his eyes.It was hot here too, a dry, relentless heat battering Khadgar, who seemed to have substance.Khadgar blinked, letting his eyes adjust to themselves—and took a sharp breath. If the portal of darkness they passed through before was completed in a hurry, then the huge portal in front of him is obviously the exquisite masterpiece of the orcs.Khadgar was standing on the stone at this moment, compared with the portal of darkness in front of him, he seemed so small. Two huge hooded stone statues towered on either side of him, and the stairs in front of him led to a courtyard.Huge braziers of dark flames lit the courtyard. Two flaming-topped pillars stand on a strange path, and... The red, barren, cracked plain stretched before them so familiar to everyone, because it looked exactly like the Blasted Lands.Khadgar stared into the distance, seeing the parched land burst open.Flames leaped upward from it, as if a hatching dragon had broken out of its shell. But Khadgar's eyes were still drawn to the sky.It was red, the kind of red that was the crimson of blood. In the distance is a scarlet sun fiercely shining on the earth, emitting scorching heat.More importantly, blessed by the Holy Light, this sky is so familiar to him. "No," his voice trembled. "No." He whispered again. "Not here! It shouldn't be like this!" "What's wrong?" Alleria asked him.He ignored him. It's all been there in that vision—the sky, the earth—"Khadgar! What's wrong?" He moved as if he had just woken up, but the horror before him was not dispelled. He shook his head and smiled feebly. "Nothing," he lied, but then, realizing how obviously false his words were, he corrected, "I've seen this place...in visions. I didn't expect...I didn't expect I'm going to face this so early. I...it just blew me away. I'm sorry." Alleria frowned, and she looked at him with concern, but found that he didn't want to continue explaining. "This is..." She closed her mouth, realizing that she didn't know what to say.She put one of her hands on her chest, as if her heart was broken. In that moment, Khadgar shook off his own despair and began to sympathize with her.She is an elf, a child of the forest and the trees and the healthy growing earth. She looked shocked and sad—sad just as Khadgar felt. A gust of wind blows from nowhere. There were no plants here to stabilize the soil, so the wind, blowing over the dying earth, raised countless dusts.Everyone started coughing, trying to get something, anything, to cover their mouths, noses and eyes. That's it.Khadgar suddenly realized that as he entered the Dark Portal, he also entered his destiny.Although he had thought it would happen a long time later. In that illusion, he looked the same as he did now: an old man.And now, he also came here.Fuck, I [****] am only twenty-two years old... am I going to die here?He felt sorry for the thought and tried to get back to normal. For a long time, I have wanted to live... The wind disappears as suddenly as it came. “恶心的地方,”达纳斯·托尔贝恩说,他咳嗽着,向众人走来。卡德加想要从走来的战士那里获得一点支持。“是不是就我这么想,还是诅咒之地真的和这里很像?” Khadgar nodded. "What's wrong?" “这条路……”艾蕾莉亚似乎找不到什么合适的词来形容。她再试了一次。“它……是用骨头铺成的。” Everyone was silent.
