5 Gold Tickets "You mean people are really going to be allowed in that factory?" cried Grandpa Joe. "Quick! Read it to us!" "All right," replied Mr. Bucket, spreading out the newspaper, "listen: "Evening Bulletin" Mr. Willy Wonka, a confectionery genius who has not been seen for ten years, issued the following announcement today: I, Willy Wonka, have decided to allow five children - mind you, only five - to visit my factory this year. These five lucky ones will be accompanied by me personally and I will let them see the factory all the mysteries in it.After the visit, they will receive a special gift of chocolates and sweets for life!Please pay close attention to the golden ticket!Five golden tickets have been printed on gold paper, and these five golden tickets are hidden under the wrapping paper of five ordinary chocolates. In any store on any street in town - wherever Wonka's candy was sold, there was a chance of finding it.Only those 5 who find the golden tickets are eligible to visit my factory and see everything there!Good luck everyone, and happy hunting!

"They'd have to use a truck to carry that much chocolate!" Grandma Georgina said.

"It makes me sick to think about it," said Grandma Josephine. "Nonsense!" cried Grandpa Joe, "if you open a bar of chocolate and see a gold ticket in it, that's a very unusual thing!" "Of course, Grandpa. There's no hope," said Charlie sadly. "I only get one bar of chocolate in a year." "You don't understand at all, dear," said Grandma Georgina. "It's your birthday next week, and you've got the same chances as anyone else." "I'm afraid it's not such a national thing," said Grandpa George. "The kids who go looking for golden tickets are the ones who get to buy chocolate every day. But our Charlie only gets one a year. No hope."
