Ba Xueyuan was burned down in the Great Tokyo Air Raid in 1945.The school was established entirely from Mr. Kobayashi's personal property, so it took a long time to rebuild the school.After the war, Mr. Kobayashi first established a kindergarten on the ruins of Ba Xueyuan. At the same time, he assisted the National University of Music to establish the Department of Nursing (now the Department of Early Childhood Education), and taught rhythm at the National University of Music.When the elementary school here was established, the teacher also tried his best to help.However, Mr. passed away at the age of sixty-nine, before his dream of re-establishing an ideal elementary school of his own could come true.

There are many excellent educators in Japan.Everyone has ideals, love and dreams, but it is so difficult to turn these into reality.I also have a deep understanding of this point.The same is true for Mr. Kobayashi, who conducted years of research before founding Ba Xueyuan.As a complete school, Ba Xueyuan was founded in 1937, but it was destroyed by war in 1945, and it only existed for a very short period of time. Mr. Kobayashi's education policy has also been written in this book, which is what he often said: "No matter which child, when he is born, he has good qualities. In the process of his growth, he will be affected by many influences, from the surrounding environment and from adults. These good qualities may be affected damage. Therefore, we have to discover these 'good qualities' early on and let them flourish, so that children can be cultivated into individuals full of personality." Some people may ask, during the war, why did such a free elementary school exist with the permission of the Ministry of Education and the country?
