--I read Before I read it, I first read this passage: "-------In my personal opinion, among all the works translated into Chinese by Jelinek, it is the most difficult to translate. Mr. Shen Xiliang works hard, I have consulted a lot of philosophical materials and tried my best." This passage is from the article "Jelinek Walks into China" written by Mr. Cai Hongjun, the copyright agent of Jelinek's works and a famous translator. This article is appended to Mr. Shen behind the translation. It is the most difficult to translate, and certainly the most difficult to read. That's exactly what happened. However, my comparison is not derived from reading Jelinek's works, because I have not read all of Jelinek's works, so I have no way to compare them; I am comparing some foreign works that I have read.Fortunately, Mr. Shen's translated preface "Heidegger, Arendt's Love Story and Jelinek's Personal Fate" can help us interpret it.

This is a script. In our country, if someone writes such a script and submits it to a director, he will definitely be rejected; it is not a question of too much literature, but it does not meet the script writing requirements at all. It can only be regarded as an experimental theater troupe for college students. The product of this; there must have been such encounters. But because this is the work of a Nobel Prize winner, some directors will definitely try to direct this play, even if the direction is not good. ——There are many things in the world that pay attention to rules, but there are also some things that do not follow rules: order is hidden in disorder; including our thinking. No matter how a script is, it always appears to be orderly. If we can't understand it, it is still written down paragraph by paragraph, and we also read it paragraph by paragraph. In the 1980s, when I read the novel "The Old Man" by the former Soviet writer Yutrifonov, I said that its writing feature was "irregular", which was recognized by the translator Mr. Zhang Caoren. The characteristic is also "irregular".We rarely have such irregular pieces.Such writing rights are all left to foreigners. The thinking of our people is indeed "rules".I approve of this kind of irregular works, yes, we need such works. We live in a society of rules, we are surrounded by many rules, and even our free thoughts are always entangled left and right. The reason why we can’t understand the avant-garde works we see is because they cannot be expressed but must be expressed; the pseudo-vanguards are excluded.

I think why can't we produce such works, and why can't we write such works? These two questions were on my mind when I was reading Jelinek. This is my reading posture. The translator points out to us that in these four acts the woman writer illuminates what is important in the nonsense about the homeland. An elderly man, wearing a country-feeling ski suit, is strapped to a frame, and a face with a mustache proves that he is Heidegger.A middle-aged woman, dressed in urban travel clothes, is preparing to set off. She is his opponent Hannah Arendt. In the two protagonists in the play, locality and exile, self and foreignness, these two basic positions are demonstratively confronting each other. "Hometown" is presented as a state of tension, and the characters appearing in the play, hunters and guests, hostesses and tourism cultural and sports event organizers, farmers and dead mountaineering enthusiasts, "man wearing antelope wool hat" and elite athletes, They are in such a state. It is a tension between our world and other world, natural power and natural domination, "thinking" and sports, and even, in the final analysis, disease and health. As the "plot" develops, this tension becomes a battlefield in which only violence against alien objects can keep our worlds alive. ——According to the translator's explanation, it must be classified as an avant-garde experimental drama in our country; and Jelinek himself also believes that it is allowed and should be filmed in a completely amateur way.Amateurs here are often pioneers. It's just that our experimental drama has never reached such a height (is it?) Reading Jelinek's work is like entering a world of conjecture. Why can't our writers write such scripts? The key is whether the writer himself has such "anger and passion", maybe "national conditions" do not allow it? "National conditions" is really a very delicate word here, and everything can be pushed to "national conditions", as if in this way the writer has no responsibility at all.In fact, whether there are such writers, the key still depends on the individual writer.Reading foreign works gives me such a feeling. There are things that Chinese people can say, but why do foreigners have to say them?I mean we should have works like this too.The "complete amateur" advocated by Jelinek may not be practiced by our writers here, they hope to be professional; amateurs are looked down upon here. But as is often the case, amateurs are more professional than pros.why?Just because of the occupation (I use the term "profession" that we are used to call "professional", I think it is more in line with the actual situation) people are used to put themselves in a "box".I borrowed this "frame". ——The original meaning of a compulsive gathering, here is the conscious positioning. Therefore, occupations are often conservative, and amateurs are often pioneers.

Reading will generate many interesting conjectures. When I read the script, I imagine that I am a director, or I am an actor, how to deal with the long lines. "Now you are sitting there, almost settled in the sash." "The woman" said to the "old man", this "you" must be heard clearly by the audience; The "old man" is also "almost settled in the grid"-our lives are almost formatted-we can't tell how many grids there are. "College students are being whipped by an unemployed tannery boy who cuts their white sports underwear with a pumice stone and beats them up. Beautiful blood everywhere!" read one actor on stage When making sentences like this, should he know that his every word seems to be subverting something. "Beautiful blood everywhere!" If I were in the theater right now, I would definitely think of the mass riots that shocked the world caused by the accidental death of two children in Paris, France ----- This is not the script itself; this possible association also arouses our deeper conjecture: why did the author write it that way?Is it the answer to the new political landscape in Austria and Europe? "There is beautiful blood everywhere!" The meaning of its radiation is very deep and wide.I would rather read this play as a stage play than as a screenplay. (The translator said in the translation preface that this script is prose written for the stage, and at the same time it is an essay; and the hint in the script itself is: the film is allowed and should be filmed in a completely amateurish way.) The series of guesswork is very interesting. . ----- Jelinek often refuses other people's questions, but instead tells others that you can add your things.Like poetry, it is for imagination, participation and creation. The works of masters are like this, always a bit obscure. It's not just us who can't understand. People in German-speaking countries also can't understand.Even the author himself is sorry. What's more, the characters set by the author are two top-level thoughtful characters. They consider the essential issues of the world, existence and thinking. Such an abstract concept, such a rational character, should be emotionally restored to the stage for the audience to perceive. A big problem, as if we put Confucius and Laozi on the stage together, imagining their anxiety today-how many of us can keep up?I think there can be many angles to look at the problem. If you have to ask the author to determine one angle, that will definitely not work. In April 2005, a mysterious email in the "Physics Illuminating the World" beam delivery event held around the world contained 10 physics-related questions, one of which was "everyone has a unique shadow, In my impression, there seems to be only one kind of black shadow, is there a colored shadow in the world? If so, what color will it be? Can you design a colored shadow for yourself according to your appearance?" The purpose is Get people to think differently. This is how the world's top literature should be.It is "a colorful shadow" designed by the writer for himself. It's like an open universe, not a closed universe. We can use the concept of "infinity" to explain this literary phenomenon. It's like a black hole, and once we're inside, we're falling into some singularity.

Among the many feelings of uncertainty there is a great certainty that we can certainly feel. The master is here to convey this "great certainty". --------A writer's writing is like an object participating in several directions of movement at the same time. There seem to be multiple thinking dimensions in a monologue, which are independent of each other and combined. We can call this writing phenomenon as Thinking superimposed. No matter which passage you read in the novel, you can find this feeling.Internet writer Lu Xiaolang commented: There are wonderful and wise sentences everywhere.Heidegger in the book is a world-renowned philosopher, and the author fictionalizes a "clueless" incident between the philosopher and his lover on Todtnau Mountain. In their conversation, Jelinek was chattering gracefully as a woman, like an unskilled baker, making flour, eggs, and sugar into other things according to the instructions in the magic book. The explanation that is closer to the author's heart is The author's interpretation and commemoration of the self-emotionalization of the philosophical ancestors. ——Of course this is just the opinion of Lu Xiaolang's family. But it also partly expresses feelings similar to mine.I would rather read those long monologues as a single prose poem. From a pure language point of view, I don't necessarily appreciate it. As a Chinese, I certainly prefer Lu Xun's language. But reading Jelinek's works can naturally help us reach the state of Lu Xun; if this is the case, we have hope for "Lu Xun's rebirth" today.Lu Xun's name will not stay in the "wine bottle" to file a lawsuit.
