Chapter 12 Chapter Eleven

The wedding was a joyous affair, held in the ballroom of the Moroccan Hotel.It seemed like half the city of Las Vegas was in attendance, including the entertainers, restaurateurs, and showgirls at every other hotel in town.In the center of the crowd were Al Caruso and his twenty or so friends.His friends were quiet and prim, and most of them didn't drink.There were flowers, bands, a huge buffet table and two wine cabinets stocked with champagne.Al Caruso has it all set up. All the guests sympathized with the bridegroom, whose arm had been broken by an accidental fall from some steps.However, everyone unanimously expressed heartfelt admiration for the beautiful bride and groom and the grand occasion of the wedding.

The doctor gave him some painkillers, which kept him in a dazed state.Throughout the whole process of the wedding, he was intoxicated and unable to control himself.Then the medicine began to wear off, and the pain came over him again.Anger and hatred welled up in his heart.He wanted to yell at everyone in the room and tell all the unspeakable shame that had been thrown at him.
