Chapter 3 Chapter One

Double Forensic II 杰夫·林赛 1653Words 2018-03-21
I'm Dexter, Dexter Morgan. By day, I'm a blood pattern analyst for the Miami Police Department, probably one of the best blood analysts in the country. At night, I am the scavenger of this filthy city, and I pronounce the death sentence on the heinous. How did I find them if the law couldn't convict them? How can I confirm that they are guilty? That's a really good question. Part of the credit is to my adoptive dad Harry, who was once the best cop in the city, who taught me everything.Harry saw the stubborn murderous aura in me, and clearly realized that this murderous aura would never change, so he adopted me and trained me to be a killer who specializes in eliminating murderers.Dexter is a murder dog who disguises himself with a human face in order to track down serial killers who kill innocent people and dehumanize people.

He also taught me how to find these special game companions, and how to determine if they were worth visiting with Nightcrawler and me.He also taught me how to evade the law, which of course only a policeman like him can teach me.He helped me build a refuge in life, and repeatedly warned me to be good at adapting to the environment and follow the rules in everything. I was supposed to be a wild, all-out monster, leaving piles of rotting corpses along the country's sprawling road network, wanted by the police everywhere. But now I'm on the side of truth and justice and the American way. While I'm still a monster, I've reinvented myself as "our" monster, wearing a 100 percent synthetic moral coat in red, white, and blue.

On nights when the moon is calling the loudest, I'll find those who kill innocent people and don't play by the rules of the game, and turn them into carefully wrapped crumbs, and let them disappear from this world once and for all. On the other hand, I owe it to the Night Walker, who hides in the darkness and commands me. Every superhero has a nemesis, and I was no exception. Sergeant Doakes is my nemesis. Although I never messed with him, he kept his eyes on me and kept me and my nightwalker from doing the things we liked. It's ridiculous that I am a hard-working blood pattern analyst in the police department, and he also works in the police department, and we are actually in the same brigade. Is it fair that he chases after me just because I have a side job now and then?

I learned about Officer Doakes well beyond my professional relationships and even beyond my own expectations.I tried to know everything about him, for one simple reason: he never liked me, despite my charm and popularity. But Officer Doakes thinks I'm acting and everything is fake.I tried to be as sincere as I could to him, but he didn't take it at all. His attitude made me curious, genuinely curious: what kind of person wouldn't like debonair Dexter? It took me a while to find the answer. Officer Doakes, a forty-eight-year-old African-American, holds the department record for the most barbell lifts.According to the rumors I heard, he had been a veterinarian in the army and had been implicated in several shootings since he came to our bureau. However, the Ministry of the Interior classified these incidents as self-defense.

More importantly, I have first-hand information that behind his burning eyes is the same laughter as my night walker.Although the laughter was only as loud as the sound of a bell, I could hear it clearly.Doakes had a beast inside of him, just like me.Although the beast in his heart is very similar to the night walker. If mine is a tiger, then his is a leopard.Doakes is a cop, but also a ruthless killer.I have no hard evidence for this, but I am convinced. A person with rational thinking may think that he and I can have some common language, or we can have a cup of coffee together, compare the beasts in our hearts, talk about insider words, and talk about dismemberment techniques. But no, Doakes would have killed me; and I find it hard to agree with him.

Doakes had been working with Detective LaGuerta until she had a sudden and mysterious death.Since then, his attitude towards me has gone beyond simple disgust. He was convinced that LaGuerta's death had something to do with me.This is completely untrue and absolutely unfair.I just stood by and watched - what could be wrong with that?Yes, I did let the real murderer go, but what can you do?Who would betray his brother? Not to mention when he did his job so beautifully. Well, I always like to put this sentence on my lips: let others live if you live by yourself.Sergeant Doakes can think what he likes, I don't care.Right now there are very few laws restricting what other people can think, but I'm sure there are a lot of people in Washington who are working on it.Whatever the good policeman suspected of me, I welcomed his suspicions. But if he decides to take action against me, I can't keep silent.Cheating Dexter is turning into Mad Dexter fast.

why?How did all this chaos start? All I did was be myself.
