Seven days after the storm, the floodwaters finally receded.When everyone went to Kamogawa to visit, they saw that the bridge had been completely washed away, leaving a pillar on each side of the river. In order to build a new bridge, workers dug up the pillars and found a corpse under each pillar.In one of them, the fabric of floral rompers still remains, and each of the two skeletons holds a doll in their hands. Seimei suggested that the two puppets be buried under the pillars of the new bridge as the victims.It is said that since then, regardless of any floods, the bridge has remained solid as a rock for forty years.
