At sea, in the evening. Captain Vaccaro came to Harry Stanford's cabin. "Mr. Stanford..." "What's up?" The captain pointed to the electronic route map on the wall. "I'm concerned about the growing winds and waves. The center of the southwest wind is in the Bonifacio Strait, which is where we're headed. I suggest we get to some safe haven first, and then..." Stanford cut him off. "It's a fine ship, and you're a good captain. I'm sure you'll steer it well." Vaccaro hesitated for a moment, then said, "At your command, sir. I will do my best."

"I believe it, Captain."
