Chapter 4 Chapter 3 Jiang Mao and Hong Yang in the prophecy

A mainland story from Hong Kong recently said that Jiang Zemin, the new head of state, became interested in the ancient Chinese prophecy book "Tui Bei Tu".This rumor may have been fabricated by good people. But even if it is true, it is not worth making a fuss about.May I ask Qin Huang, Han Wu, Tang Zong, Song Zu, and even our President Jiang and Chairman Mao—which of the rulers in our country did not believe in the act of prophecy and the art of Ziping?Mr. Sun Yat-sen, a Christian, also said that he "has a predestined relationship with Buddha".There were a lot of stories similar to "vision" in the background of Sun Gong's saying this!Didn't even Hu Shi, who absolutely believed in the "God's Extinction Theory", say that "there are ghosts in mahjong"?There are ghosts in mahjong, which is only played by four people; so how can there be no ghosts in mahjong, which is played by hundreds of millions of people? !Our rulers of all dynasties, including the most recent Chairman Jiang, want to find some ghosts and ghosts in this marijuana game. What is so rare? !My friend, although Mr. Jiang is a ninety-five-year-old man today, he is unspeakably valuable, but he is an engineer who graduated from Jiaotong University. In fact, he is not much different from my step and me.When you are in a good mood, talk about "Tui Bei Tu" and "Song of Shaobing", which is nothing like "promoting superstition". ——After tea and wine, we can talk, but he can't?It's just that after we talked, it was like a breeze; after Mr. Jiang talked, it would become "gossip".

[Note] Prophecy (chen) weft: It is a mixture of Confucian classics and feudal superstition.Prophecy is a book symbol record that uses mysterious cryptic words, prophecies, etc. as God's revelation to tell people good and bad fortune, and the rise and fall of chaos. In order to show its mystery, some special decorations are often made or dyed into a special color, so it is also called "Fu Ming" or "Fu Lu".Wei is an interpretation of Confucian classics from a religious point of view. Ziping's technique: At the beginning of the Song Dynasty, Xu Ziping wrote "Luoluzi's Three Fate News Fu Notes", which developed the predecessor Li Xuzhong's method of calculating fortune from the first birth year, month, and day to the year, month, day, and hour. The stems and branches are combined into "eight characters" to deduce good and bad fortune. The eight-character fortune-telling technique created by him is more important than the five-element calculation, and the method is more precise, which has a profound impact on later generations. Therefore, later generations often call the technique of "Bazi" to push fate as Ziping technique.

In fact, such things as "superstition" were originally an indispensable "institution" in society. ——Marilyn Monroe's baseball star husband, Di Maji, said that he married Monroe, not with a woman but with a "system". The influence of the world is not under the influence of the "system" of "women" (beauties)!King Taiping and Empress Dowager Cixi in the late Qing Dynasty, and Emperor Hongxian in the early Republic of China were its biggest victims. ——When they were harmed, we ordinary people were unlucky. But the superstition of "prophecy" exists in any culture in the world.Every time there is a strange experience. There is a prophecy in ancient Korea that said: Busan, a small fishing village in the East China Sea, will be the capital of the country in a certain era.Which Korean people have believed it in the past hundred years?Unexpectedly, when the Korean War broke out in 1950, the commander-in-chief Rhee was defeated and retreated southward, using Busan as a counterattack base.It became the capital of the country overnight.

Our country's prophecy book "Song of Biscuits" is even weirder. This "Song of Shaobing" has been sung from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty, and it is generally believed to be very effective. However, our new youths in the Republic of China have a reason to denounce it as "post-faking".However, there is a strange thing. In the era of the Republic of China that we experienced, it also sang something like "holding a steel knife ninety-nine, killing all the Hu'ers before giving up". May I ask, who is this guy "Ninety Nine"?The "Song of Biscuits" reprinted in Chongqing during the Anti-Japanese War, that is, some commentators interpreted it as "a person surnamed Bai".Covering ninety-nine is one hundred and one less. This "Chongqing Edition" was read by the author personally. It's really hard to say whether this "cracking" was a blessing or a curse to the internationally renowned general of the Guangxi Clan, General Zhuge Bai Chongxi Jr., and even his entire Guangxi Clan's political future.

However, after 1949, Chinese history has proved that neither Bai Chongxi nor Li Zongren had such blessings. At most as a supporting role.At that time, some people interpreted it as Mr. Jiang "Zhongzheng" and "Jieshi".Because the two names Jiang Gong also have nine pens each.Together, it is exactly Mr. "Nine Nine".This can be regarded as a "test".But later history proved that it was still only "partly correct" (partly correct); there are people who are more correct than his old man!It turns out that "Mr. Ninety-Nine" is also called "Student Twenty-Eight".Twenty-eight means nine plus ten plus nine (9+10+9=28) equals twenty-eight.

"Twenty-eight students" was originally Mao Zedong's pen name when he ran "Xiangjiang Review" in Changsha when he was a student; it was also the pen name he used when he contributed to "New Youth".Because the three traditional characters of "Mao Zedong" add up, there are 28 strokes in total, hence the name. In this way, it is quite fair that "Mr. Ninety-Nine" should be divided equally between the two national heroes, Jiang and Mao.However, if the two of them meet again today, and join hands to form the "third cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party", if Mao wants to take advantage of it, Jiang may not be able to refuse.Because Mao Gong still has two or three more "ninety-nine" which Jiang Gong does not have.

It turned out that in the autumn of 1949, when the CCP raised its flag in Beijing and founded the country, it is said that Mao Gong’s Feng Shui master advised him to choose a "big day" and move to Zhongnanhai.Mao chose September 9th.This "said" may be attached to the hair loss.Mao or no such intention. But even if it's a meeting, or Mr. Feng Shui's flattery, but on the day when Mao Gong finally went to see Marx, others can't flatter him, and he can't choose it himself. ——Mao Gong died on September 9, 1976, it must be a coincidence! Furthermore, Mrs. Mao ascended the throne in Beijing on October 1, 1949, and was the guest of honor at the Zhongnanhai Harem in 1976. He has also been the emperor in China for 28 years. What a coincidence!

The most incredible thing is that "Tui Bei Tu" also portrays Mao Gong in this respect. In the "Ode" of the forty-first image of "Tui Bei Tu", the prophet wrote the following four lines: A hat must be worn without a head, When will you stop messing around? Ninety-nine years made a big mistake, Calling the king is only in Qinzhou. Among these four sentences, except for the first sentence which is still undecipherable (or it can be interpreted as "wearing hats indiscriminately, blood debt without head"), the other three sentences do not describe Mao's 28-year rule of mainland China, To put it into three points, if we try to remove the lingo and restore the truth, we will rewrite these four sentences as:

Wearing caps indiscriminately with blood (debts) headless, When will you stop messing around? Twenty-eight years made a big mistake, Calling the king is only in Yan (An) state. Isn't this the correct comment on Mao Gong by modern historians? In the Yan'an era, Dong Biwu wrote in his poems praising Mao that "if you don't teach a good reputation, you will get out of Yanzhou".Mao Zedong did a good job in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region (ancient Qinzhou area) during the Yan'an era, and he has gained international reputation. And who knew that Mao Zedong was just a "talented talent".Once he takes over Beijing and becomes the emperor, he will be invincible. How about years of catastrophe?

The author of "Tui Bei Tu" was able to "prophet" it for us thousands of years ago. ——Even if it is "superstition", "forgery", or "coincidence"... No matter what, it is thought-provoking for those who have experienced this catastrophe to read it after their families have been destroyed! "Tui Bei Tu" is a strange book with images and prophecies. It is said that it was co-written by Li Chunfeng and Yuan Tiangang during the Zhenguan period (627-649) of Emperor Taizong of Tang Dynasty. There are biographies in the old and new "Book of Tang"; there are also records in "Song History? Yiwenzhi".Because the ruler disliked the chaos of government affairs, Zhao Kuangyin, the last great ancestor, was sentenced to death when he became emperor. However, this book has been circulated for hundreds of years, and it is not bad, the more it is banned, the more popular it becomes. As a last resort, the imperial court took the old version and turned the prophecies upside down and confused the readers, making it impossible to believe them. However, since ancient times, the books banned by the rulers (including Qin Shihuang) are only the books of the people. The really good books and paintings are out of print (such as the orphan version preserved by Princeton University in the United States today). Go to the "Royal View" in detail. Therefore, this Tang version of "Tui Bei Tu" survived in the Song, Yuan and Ming dynasties. It was not released from the palace until Chongzhen committed suicide and hanged himself. However, in the three dynasties of Kang, Yong, and Qian in the early Qing Dynasty, the literary network was very strict, and many literati did not dare to violate the ban.It was not until the "British-French Allied Forces" (1860) and the "Eight-Power Allied Forces" (1900) successively occupied Beijing, and after the cultural relics and national treasures of the Forbidden City were looted repeatedly, the ancient version of "Tui Bei Tu", just like the ancient version, flew into the ordinary people Home.

As for the details of how the book was banned, copied again, and finally flowed into the public in large quantities, bibliographers on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are still hard to say for a while. Therefore, many prophecies and prophecies that seem to be very effective, ordinary readers, of course including the author myself, still feel that they are absolutely unbelievable to this day.Because according to scientific principles and even the most superficial common sense, this kind of prophecy will not be accurate enough that even the real names of future rulers can be called out immediately. ——Unlike "ninety-nine" is just a "number". Let's look at the thirty-fourth image of "Tui Bei Tu"? Xun hexagram, the prophecy of "Taiping Heavenly Kingdom".The full text follows: The prophecy said: hairy, Clothes are afraid of white. peacetime, The king kills the king. Song said: Taiping saw blood flying again, The five-color chapters form the inner and outer coats. The flood is overwhelming, and the seedlings are not beautiful, The Central Plains once saw nothing but dreams. [Note] The punctuation marks are added by the author.Later, the original "Jin Shengtan said" was deleted. The book used by the author was originally collected in the posthumous book of Xianyue, and there is no publication mark.He bought a copy of "Seven Kinds of Prophecy" in Hong Kong, and there is no risk of publication, but the words and sentences are the same. The above "head with hair" is long hair, no need to explain. The uniforms worn by the long-haired "officials" are red and yellow. Therefore, red and yellow are the colors of "official uniforms", and folks are never allowed to use them. The user "beheads and never stays".Folks generally wear "variegated colors" such as blue, green, black and black.Civil servants and general cadres, especially the "old hairy" with primitive long hair, must wear white! This long-haired custom of "fearing white clothes" not only has no impression on ordinary readers, but also some experts and scholars who specialize in the history of Taiping history have never paid attention to it, and the authors of prophecy books made a fuss about it. ——In ancient my country, the Qin people favored black, and the Han people avoided white, all of which were related to superstition. "In peacetime, the king kills the king", which will be discussed in detail below. As for "five-color chapters make up the inner and outer clothes", this is also true. When Gai Hongxiuquan was crowned king in Yong'an, the five kings of the east, west, north, south, and north wings he enshrined also had five-color flags (the flag of the wing king is blue). So the author of this prophecy, even if it was "falsely written after the fact", is also a very promising party historian! If this prophetic poem is "falsified after the fact", the author is too bold. How can we learn from Professor Zhang Foqian, an old celebrity, and write "poems with embedded characters" in which the three characters "Hong Xiuquan" are really "embedded"? ——This will involve the two major entanglements of "theism" (theism) and "atheism" (atheism) in "philosophy" and "theology". Many great scientists, including Einstein, absolutely do not believe in the existence of "God". The author once saw him sitting in a church with his back to God, talking about his godless cosmology. But the vast majority of people in this world (including many top-notch scientists, and women who hold up half the sky) believe in God. Needless to say, "Heavenly Father, Lord, Emperor God"; even Guanyin Bodhisattva, who transformed the body of a man into a woman and rescued the common people from the sea of suffering, is also "omnipresent and omnipotent". ——Friends who believe in religion (they are "theists" will say: "Sincerity leads to spirit". If you really believe in God or Guanyin, you may sometimes perceive the "supernatural" phenomenon of "responsiveness to requests". But you are as dead If you don’t believe it (like Einstein), then you are an “atheist”. Since there is no god in your eyes, the two old men are also very democratic. Then you take your Yangguan way, and I take my single-plank bridge; the river does not violate the well Water.——You don’t usually burn incense, so don’t come to hold my Buddha’s feet just now! So, friends! If you are a theist and devoutly believe that everything in the universe is arranged by God, then the Almighty God is not as good as a white-haired old man Zhang Foqian?Professor Zhang can write "embedded poems", but God can't? ——To write poems with embedded characters, you need to have a good foundation in Sinology; is Guanyin Bodhisattva's foundation in Sinology not as good as that of Zhang Foqian?Do you want to submit a "student post" to Professor Zhang? Therefore, nothing in the world can be said too absolutely. We trust the arguments of "atheists" 99% of the time; we also give "theists" a 1% chance to say what they want. ——Should future textual research, bibliographers, and versionists really prove that the above-mentioned prophecy poems about the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom were indeed works before 1856 (the "Tianjing Incident" of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom), then we have no doubts How to deal with this prophetic poem? Even as late as today, when science is flourishing, there are still many inexplicable things in the world. My senior friend General Li Zongren once told me that after his chief of staff, General Ye Qi, fell off his horse and died, he, Bai Chongxi and other old friends of Ye Qi visited a witch who could summon souls. In a coma, the witch actually uttered Ye Qi's voice; and explained Ye Qi's private affairs during her lifetime. The author's father-in-law, Mr. Wu Kaixian, also (and in his own words) "absolutely believes that human beings have a soul"; because he also had the same experience. The above is just the experience of two celebrities. In fact, similar examples are too numerous to mention in society. When the author was young, he once watched the "Fushi" of the villagers.Once, he was called to the altar of shamanism to "help" the gauze basket with a chopstick tied to it with a cousin. The chopsticks actually wrote many characters in the sand table below. These words are added together, and after the elders punctuate the sentence, it turns out to be a poem.I know that poem was not written by me; I also know that that poem was not written by my cousin. My cousin doesn't even understand <The Prime Minister's Will>, so how could he compose that elegant old-style poem? —But who composed this poem? It's a big question—one that, in my own experience, has been unresolved for decades.Readers who have reviewed my work to this point may assume that the author is also a "theist".Actually no.I just feel like my teacher, Mr. Hu Shizhi, that "there are ghosts in mahjong". ——Is there a god? There are many incredible things in the world. But man is a kind of animal that pretends to be smart. If you have a broom at home, you can enjoy the dry gold.Once a fool gets it, he will often use his foolishness to force others to follow himself and exercise "dictatorship" over others. ——Since human beings have civilization, it can be said that they have been living under dictatorship all the time. Human beings in the West, West Asia, South Asia, and Latin America in ancient and medieval times (including our own Hong Tianwang) can be created by themselves by various gods and great gods who are "omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent" The dictatorship is miserable.Their sages, philosophers, prophets, Messiahs, etc., are so poor in knowledge that they can't even make a small ant; but they boldly invented countless great Gods and gods who are omnipotent and omnipotent. It is unbelievable that other ethnic dictatorships last for more than a thousand years! In this regard, our Chinese culture is much more relaxed.Except for the confused Hong Tianwang, we have never shed blood for God.Our cultural tradition has always despised "strange power and chaos".But it is strange to say that we are also unable to extricate ourselves from the 2,000-year-old politics of gentlemen who oppose strange powers and chaos. Our dictatorship system that does not talk about strange powers and gods lasted until the Xianfeng period in the late Qing Dynasty, when a "monotheist" (monotheist) Hong Tianwang came out.He stood up and challenged this godless and low-level "pantheism" (pantheism polytheism).Leaving out a special term in social history, it means that people like Hong Xiuquan were influenced by the "Eastward Spread of Western Learning" and challenged the Godless Eastern Learning tradition with the divine Western tradition.Hong Yang and his group are indeed the first batch of pioneers engaged in "transformation" in the "second social transformation period" in the history of our country. It's just that these country brothers, reckless heroes, have too little knowledge. They don't know their own historical role in the "Second Great Transformation Movement of Chinese Society", and they are just rebellious little urchins who shake the big tree. Furthermore, the social transformation under the challenge of different cultures (that is, the "modernization or westernization movement") was gradual and distinct in stages. The earliest westernization (or "alienation") was often the most naive and polluted , is also the most dross. At the same time, it is also the time when his opponent, the centipede, the old tradition that is dead but not dead has the greatest resistance. - The little urchin is no match for the old stubborn; the little urchin is about to suffer. - Hong Yang's tragedy is has its historical inevitability. But Hung Urchin's inevitable failure does not guarantee that his opponent's dying beards will stay forever. The old man still has to continue his inevitable process of dying from old age. —Friends, this is also called "historical necessity"!Don't you see that the old tradition of "Zeng Yao" cannot continue under the challenge of "Western Learning".It has not been more than one Jiazi (sixty years), and the Kong family shop has been beaten to pieces again? Here comes the Red Guards. The three old graves of the Confucius family (Kong Qiu, Kong Li, and Kong Ji) that were intact for thousands of years, were they all dug up? !This summer, Yu and his wife paid homage to the "Three Confucians" (Confucian Temple, Confucian Mansion, and Confucian Mausoleum). Seeing the green grass in their tombs, they knew that there was nothing under the soil. But to be born as a "human" is to be born with dictatorship.Following Confucius and Mencius, we have been under the dictatorship of Marxism-Leninism, class dictatorship, and democratic dictatorship for decades.Isn't the Muhammad dictatorship in the current world still in the ascendant?Isn't the joint dictatorship of Mr. De and Mr. Sai also in full swing? ! Do you believe it?Mr. Sai and Mr. De are just one of the ears.Mr. Hu Shizhi has a poem saying: "Which cat is not called Chun, and which gentleman does not speak?" In terms of speaking ability, Mr. Desai Er may not be stronger than Mr. Confucius, Mencius, Marxism-Leninism, and Yemu!Except for Marxism-Leninism in the three groups, each has a history of dictatorship for more than a thousand years; how many years has Mr. Said II been prosperous? "Talented people come out from generation to generation, each leading the coquettish for five hundred years." Everyone is in their own era, each leading the coquettish, who is better than whom?Who is the immutable "eternal truth"? ! Being ruled by a fashionable idea is inevitable for sages and heroes, let alone ordinary people of our generation? The hero who has never met an opponent when he fights against the sky, the earth, and the people, isn't he afraid to fight with horses and columns?Lao Dan said: "The world is not benevolent, and everything is a straw dog." To put it bluntly, the sages and heroes are just a bunch of grass (grass), just a dog. What free will do dogs have?Just listen to the master's arrangement. Look back at our extremely clever teacher Hu Shi!He clearly knew that there were ghosts in the mahjong played by the four of them. Why can't he deduce and speculate that there are even more ghosts in the marijuana game played by 40 million people?People with "knowledge" often have enough "learning" to learn. And its "knowledge" can be learned.Hu Shi is a person who has both "learning" and "knowledge"; why is his "knowledge" not as good as this?In fact, it's not that Hu's "knowledge" is insufficient; he is "learning" and dare not.He was an old man who kept "science" and "democracy" in mind all his life.He was dictatorship by Mr. Saide II, and he couldn't extricate himself for life! When it comes to anything "non-scientific" or "anti-democratic", he dare not touch it. Hu Shi does not love free will; he does not doubt it unless he has doubts. It's just free will. After being ruled by foreign will for a long time, "if you don't want to be free, you will be free." That's all. This is true for great thinkers who have shaken the past and present, not to mention those little writers lost in dogmatism, and ordinary us! The author writes a thousand words, and said so many digressions, which are nothing more than—to quote another famous saying of Mr. Hu Shizhi—"circling around the word method".When we govern the history of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, and even the entire modern Chinese officials, our attitude can be a little more generous. You can't stick to any specific "method" and let yourself be shackles.Sometimes we even have to give three points to "superstition" and don't sneer at it.Friends, you say that all "fairies" are inferior to you? Then you are too self-inflated. You play mahjong - now in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and overseas Chinese communities, and even in many towns on the mainland, every weekend, the sound of "touching" and "eating" resounds in the sky - you can't draw cards, lose money, you put the table Break through, or can't make up.But once the "ghost" of mahjong favors you, the "good cards" will rush towards you one after another; The wedding night in the bridal chamber, when the gold list is listed. It's so fun to be a shame, brother. Some gamblers with heart disease died from extreme joy. "There are ghosts in mahjong" is against science; but it is a universal "truth" that is universally applicable and universally applicable to experimentalists in scientific laboratories! But if we really regard the world as a table of mahjong, everything is arranged by God and the gods decide, that is not necessarily the case.Because the gods (such as those smart ghosts who wrote "Tui Bei Tu" and "Song of Shaobing") unfortunately said what they said, but he only "knows what it is, but doesn't know why it is."If you want to know why, even the gods have to look at how "social scientists" analyze it! Or ask: You don't talk about it, we can't let Mr. De (democracy) and Mr. Sai (science) lead us by the nose, why do we use the spear of the son to attack the shield of the son and talk about social science?Said: No.What I fear is dictatorship. The dictatorship of science and the dictatorship of democracy are both dead ends.Once under dictatorship, both the dictator and the dictator are completely different. ——Hu Shi is also a sage.Once it was under the dictatorship of science, it would not dare to speak falsely about ghosts and gods.In his later years, he studied the "Shui Jing Zhu", which was not worth drilling at all, but did not dare to study the "Ghosts in Mahjong", which is very promising. All things in the world are left to wait and see. Once "dictatorship" or "single worship", it will become what Buddhists call "fear" and go mad!So social scientists even tolerate "superstition" three points.that is it. As I said before, in the computers of social scientists, the "Taiping Heavenly Kingdom" that lasted for 14 years was only the "first stage" in the "second major transformation of Chinese society" in the past two thousand years. Today, in this wait-and-see process, we look back at this transformational movement. Since it started after the Opium War, it will take roughly 180 to 200 years before it can achieve its full success.Apparently it is now entering its final stages. If there are no major accidents, the next "stereotyped" society should be mature in the early quarter of the 21st century. ——National affairs seem to be predictable in the computers of social scientists! Furthermore, this "clearly staged" transformation movement is not going forward bravely and never retreating. It took three steps and two steps back; or even walked two steps back and three steps and slowly moved forward until today. This is also the formula of "opposite-unity" emphasized by the "dialectics"!Detours are inevitable; advancement is inevitable.Knowing this, we can put forward the "why" that can also be interpreted by social science when we "know why" that "the head has hair, but the clothes are afraid of being white; in peacetime, the king kills the king". It should be noted that the force and civilization of my "Han-centrism" have expanded outwards from north to south since ancient times. From the return of "Wu Yue" to the assimilation of "Southern Guangdong (Yue)", to the joining of "Vietnam", the procedure is clear. However, Lord Hong Yang led a large number of "Guangdong bandits" this time, went against the current, and launched the first "Northern Expedition" unprecedented in Chinese history! (The "1911 Revolution" led by Sun Yat-sen and the "Northern Expedition" led by Chiang Kai-shek were just unfinished business.) Hong Yang's Northern Expedition was so fierce that it was rarely seen in the history of the world. If we divide its fourteen-year history into sections, it can be roughly divided into three major stages: the period of migration (1851-1853); 6); it is called the period of encirclement and suppression and counter-encirclement and suppression (1856-1864).After 1864, the continued activities of the Nian Army and some societies in South China could only be regarded as the aftermath of the encirclement and counter-encirclement. The so-called "fleeing" people, in short, are the traditional struggle methods of Huang Chao and Zhang Xianzhong. After the peasants rose up, they changed from small stocks to large stocks, chasing each other with the officers and soldiers, not guarding a city or a place, and wandering around the country, advancing through gaps, dragging the officers and soldiers to death. This was the case in the first three years of the Hongyang Uprising. They were a group of "rogues" recorded in traditional Chinese history with no base, no logistics, and no fixed source of troops—the so-called peasant uprising in modern times. The reason why this kind of peasant uprising can become stronger and bigger with each battle is because of their special social conditions. That is political corruption, officials forcing people to rebel; society paralyzed, and people living in dire straits. In this disturbed country, the ordinary hungry people and their politically ambitious leaders are afraid that the world will not be chaotic.Once someone rises up, a single spark can quickly start a prairie fire (this is the title in "Selected Works of Mao"). In the spring of 1852, when Hong Yang broke through from Yong'an Prefecture and fled to the north, there were no more than two to three thousand people including women and children. ——Hong Yang experts among the readers, wait a minute... let me talk about some personal textual research first: Regarding the number of people who broke through in Yong'an, my teacher Mr. Guo Tingyi (the first authority on the history of Taiping in modern China), and later Mr. Jian Youwen and Luo Ergang all said that there were tens of thousands of people. The author questioned Master Guo more than 50 years ago in a university classroom in Shapingba.I think this number is too large. My reasons are twofold: The first is personal experience. At that time, I was also a youth in exile who looked like a bandit, and I "broke out" from the trapped area to the Southwest Mountain (Miao) area with thousands of exile partners.Personal experience tells us that it is difficult for a small southwest mountain city like Yong'an to accommodate "three thousand little children" like ourselves who fell from the sky.Let’s talk about food, drink, and shelter, and it’s not even able to hold the toilet! The second is the historical archives. At that time, the total number of officers and troops encircling Yong'an was no more than 14,000; and those who were besieged always said afterwards that they were "besieged by enemies several times."In this case, the number of breakouts is only two or three, which is a reasonable number. Later, the author taught in an American university, and I read foreign books with my students, and suddenly became cheerful. It turned out that the "uncle" Lai Hanying, one of the important leaders who participated in the breakout of Yong'an at that time, said so.Hanying is the younger brother of Hong Xiuquan's original partner Lai "Niangniang"; he is also the cousin of Lai Wenguang, the outstanding leader of the Nian Army. From the Jintian Uprising, Shui'an breakout, marching into the Yangtze River, founding the capital Tianjing (Nanjing), and arriving in Luedi Jiangxi... It can be said that there is no service.Later, he was awarded the title of "Prime Minister Xia Guan", and he was of the highest rank; he was actually an important leader among the founding fathers of Taiping, second only to the Eight Kings. His records in official and private records have always been everywhere. As late as 1975, in his hometown of Hua County, there were still legends of him returning home after being injured. However, little is known about the history of Chinese and British diplomacy. He was the first Chinese diplomat to contact foreign envoys after Hong Yang laid his capital in Nanjing. It turns out that after Hong Yang regained control at the end of March 1853 and officially established Nanjing as his capital, the British government eagerly tried to contact the new dynasty and establish diplomatic relations (their actions were similar to the British activities in the Shanghai-Nanjing area in the autumn of 1949. , exactly the same as before and after). In late April of the same year, Samuel George Bonham, the British ambassador to China and the governor of Hong Kong, and his interpreter Thomas T. Meadows sailed directly to Nanjing on the British ship The Hermes.Due to the difficulty of diplomatic etiquette, the British envoy refused to meet Taiping officials, while Midi Le had extensive contacts. The official of the new dynasty that he saw and had a good impression of was Lai Hanying; the two of them were very speculative.Mie also presented Lai's European-made telescope as a souvenir. There are quite a lot of journalists in the relationship between the two of them, and Meady Le recorded it in detail; Professor Jian Youwen also added excerpts and translations.During the conversation between the two of them, Lai talked about the past of Yong'an's breakout, which is quite valuable in historical materials, but it has never been seen in Chinese books. In Jian Jun's translation, there is also a lack of selected translations. Lai said that the Taiping Army was under heavy siege when they were in Yong'an, and they ran out of ammunition and food, but their morale was extremely high.Inspired by the majesty of God, "the whole army of two or three thousand people, including women and children in the middle army, not only broke through the encirclement in one fell swoop, but also completely defeated the enemy army." (See Thomas Taylor Meadows, The Chinese and Their Rebellions. London: Smith, Elder, 1856; Reprinted by Stanford University Press, 1953; Reprinted in New York, 1972. p.282. See also Western Reports on The Taiping: a selection of Documents. Honolulu: University of Hawaii Press, 1982, p. 44n.) The "oral history" of Lai Guojiu recorded by Meadow is obviously credible; it is also in line with the facts. After the Taiping Army broke through from Yong'an (now Mengshan County), Guangxi (April 5, 1852), the number was small. But like a tiger out of its guard, it is unstoppable. The whole army was young and strong along the way, and its strength expanded rapidly.Heroes from all walks of life, radical workers and peasants, are even more attached. The typhoon swept across, and the vegetation was full of soldiers. In April and May, the siege of Guilin was not conquered, but they went north to massacre the city of Quanzhou (June 3rd).After entering Hunan, everything outside Changsha was invincible.Tens of thousands of party miners and boat people joined the army.At the turn of 52 and 53, it entered the three towns of Wuhan. So far, the whole division has brought Jiafan 75,000 people, which is called 500,000.In February 1953, tens of thousands of civilian boats in the three rivers and one lake (Xiangjiang, Hanshui and Dongting Lake) were captured and flowed eastward.Masts and sculls are like forests, and banners cover the sky.Going down to Jiujiang, Ke'anqing, and breaking through Wuhu is like entering an inaccessible realm. On March 19th, they invaded Nanjing and beheaded Lu Jianying, governor of the two rivers of the Qing court, and Fuzhu Hong'a, governor of Jiangnan. The next day they broke through the entire city of Nanjing and massacred 40,000 Manchu men, women, children and men under the Qing court's Jiangning general Xianghou and the deputy governor Huo Longwu. At the same time, the household registration of the Han people in Hecheng was investigated, and all those who had held public office in the Qing government were regarded as "monsters" and hunted and killed at will.Ordinary male and female citizens other than demons are ordered to be divided into "men's line" and "women's line".Young and strong men are incorporated into the military camp; women are incorporated into the "women's hall" to work with them.Hundreds of craftsmanship are also compiled into various "halls" according to the nature of their occupations. All public property is included in the "holy treasury"; citizens' private property is ordered to "pay tribute" and be confiscated.Family members are not allowed to gather in private; couples are not allowed to share the same bed. Those who violated the order were "beheaded and never left behind."Except for the princes and high-ranking officials, the whole city eats, lives and works together, and the whole city of Nanjing is like a big military camp. ——In Chinese history, before the CCP launched the "Great Leap Forward" (1958) a hundred years later, there was an unprecedented "people's commune"; the thorough implementation of communism with Chinese characteristics! Everything was on a rough scale. The Heavenly King Hong Xiuquan landed on a "dragon boat" from the Xiaguan River on March 29.What does this dragon boat look like?I think readers may have the same curiosity as the author.Let us just copy the report of an eyewitness at the time: Hong Xiuquan was on the boat, with a dragon's head carved on the prow and decorated with golden colors; a dragon's tail was installed between the rudders, falsely called the king's boat.Hold the yellow flag all over the place. There are more than ten artillery positions on both sides, one drum and two red lacquer dragon sticks.Thirty-six lamps were lit on the boat. (See Jian Youwen's "The Complete History of Taiping Tiantian", page 513, citing "Dunbi Suiwenlu".) As for the grandeur of Hong Tianwang when he first entered his capital "Tianjing"?Let us transcribe a dictation of the spectators who were present at the time: ... On that day, Eastern King Yang Xiuqing bowed and led all the kings, officials and holy soldiers to welcome the Heavenly King in a dragon boat on the Qianjiang River.Dongwang wears a red robe and a sable hat, just like a prime minister's attire. The rest of the leaders either wore official hats, or had chicken feathers erected, and led tens of thousands of soldiers, crowding around and kneeling to meet them.It was a bright day and the sky was covered by banners and flags; all the officials rode horses and led their troops forward bravely.Secondly, all the kings sat in yellow sedan chairs with a crane on top of the sedan chairs. Afterwards, the king's wife and the big-footed woman taught ten people to ride horses. The hat of the king of heaven is like the hat of Tang Minghuang in the play Changsheng Palace, yellow silk dragon robe, yellow silk dragon shoes, no boots, sitting in a big yellow sedan chair with five cranes facing the sky on the top of the sedan chair, and sixteen people carry it.The husbands are all yellow jackets and yellow hats. There are hundreds of pairs of banner guards in the front team. There are several teams of gong and drummers, and eight drummers for the second time, each wearing uniform. There are two princes (princes), one riding a horse and the other in the hands of a nurse.Behind the heavenly king's sedan chair, thirty-six women followed, all with big feet, short clothes and long trousers, no skirts, riding horses, and holding sunshine umbrellas. In the end, there are countless people who support soldiers and guards.Gai drove thousands of people, and made noise and anger for dozens of miles, but he was actually the lord of ten thousand chariots. (See page 512 of the same page quoted from "Yangzhuoxuan Notes".) [Notes] 舁 (yu): Carry things together.舁夫 (bearer; coffin bearer); Hong Xiuquan, a poor old boy and an old teacher in a private school in Sanjia Village, has exhausted his breath so far. He is proud of Mao Zedong, a primary school teacher who will stand on Tiananmen Square a hundred years later and shout that the Chinese people have stood up. It was brilliant before the screening. As for how many people and people he has in his heart, I don't know. But a man should be like this.In the end, those who rule history should not use the pen of blaming sages to measure reckless heroes. Since a hero enters the deep palace, it is inevitable to indulge in sensuality.According to the memories of the young master Xiao Tianwang before his death in the country: when Naifu rebelled in Jintian, there were already fifteen or six concubines. When breaking through Yong'an, the number of "Niangniang" had increased to thirty-six.In the Tianjing Harem, there are as many as eighty-eight people sharing the same bed.In such a crowd of fans, big feet and little feet can't handle it, so what is there to say about revolution?Ever since the palace wall was built and surrounded by itself, the founder of the country, regardless of life or death, never wanted to leave this land of gold powder with his whole body.
