Chapter 106 postscript

In July and August of this year, I spent the most comfortable summer in my life in Kunming. This spring city in southern Xinjiang does not have a drastic change of seasons, and often gives people a sense of time stagnation, but the long river of history is running in my chest-I am writing a series of historical essays one after another. Just like the distant scenery in the mist is always beautiful in retrospect, the past era is always memorable, even in the troubled times of the Republic of China. No one likes turbulence and chaos, but people are always dissatisfied with ordinary life, so there is always a silent charm in troubled times.Starting from this general psychology, I began to enter the era of the Republic of China, which was more exciting than the Three Kingdoms; what I gained was far more than "true history that is more exciting than fake fiction."When very familiar names, facial makeup, symbols, concepts are transformed into flesh and blood, tactile images and scenes, the existing concepts are subverted from time to time, and even under shock, I realize that most of the time we are far from truly understanding the nation Distortion, prejudice, misunderstanding and simplistic understanding of the past have obscured many valuable things-especially in a complex era like the Republic of China, its light should not all disappear in the dark night sky of history.

I wanted to write such a book based on what I learned from studying the history of the Republic of China. It originated from the suggestion of Zhou Yu, my classmate when I was studying in Anqing Teachers College. After reading my article on the May 4th Movement, he was very excited, and repeatedly "encouraged" me to write a series on the past events of the Republic of China, until I was moved. After I started writing, I posted part of the first draft on the "Cooking Jiu Lun Shi" edition of the online Tianya community while writing.Unexpectedly, with people's enthusiastic support and encouragement, many netizens followed up day and night, urged frequently, wrote a large number of hot messages and comments, and reposted them to major Internet forums, so that in late September this year, the Internet That is to say, there are many pirated e-books that need to be paid for download but are far from complete and mature.I am not considered diligent, without everyone's praise and encouragement, it may be difficult to finish writing in one go.I am deeply grateful to my friends.

The Internet has helped me more than that. The main references of this book are listed in addition to the appendix, and some materials come from the Internet. The main material of the article "Once in Blood: Young Wang Jingwei's Assassination of the Regent" comes from the work of an overseas scholar surnamed Lin. I read this work from the Internet; Several paragraphs of related content from "Baidu Encyclopedia" are used; some scattered information is also obtained from the Internet. In addition, the convenience and quickness of the Internet in retrieving information and verifying memory greatly improves the progress and efficiency of writing.

Historical prose is not a fictional work. In addition to discussion, description, and lyrical content, historical materials must at least be sources that I think are reliable.Due to the complexity of the information, I cannot list all the sources in detail.Although historical prose is not a historical essay and does not have the same stringent requirements for citation annotation as academic essays, I still want to apologize and thank you for the raw material that was not mentioned. The tireless efforts of so many scholars have enabled our future generations to absorb rich nutrition; benefiting from the fruits of other people's labor, we cannot have the peace of mind of "resource sharing".

We should also thank Mr. Mei Yi (pen name Helian Bobo King), a famous historical writer who has written a lot.Mr. Mei wrote a passionate preface to this book, and gave me strong support with an evaluation that I can't afford. I take ancient literary theory as my research direction, and writing historical essays on the theme of the Republic of China should be regarded as a nonsense. My tutor, Professor Zhang Guoqing, is a rigorous and honest elder. In addition to supervising us to learn our majors well, he also provided us with a relaxed and free reading environment; after reading some of my articles, Mr. Zhang told me several times : "I really like watching your stuff." This is an encouragement to me.Mention should also be made of my father, whose knowledge of history has always put me as a liberal arts student to shame, and when I encountered difficulties in writing, I tried to call him several times.

How many things in the Republic of China are all jokes. In the midst of jokes, history will still show its heaviness and sorrow. This book is written in history, and writing this book has become history for me. I miss the time when I was busy and fulfilled, and my heart was surging with the writing. Thanks to the hard work of Mr. Zheng Chuangqi of Kyushu Publishing House and his colleagues, the book will be published in a short period of time. With this beginning, I will continue to move forward with more reverence for history and culture. Xie Yiqun At the beginning of November 2007 at Yunnan University
