I admire and appreciate Brother Tengfei.Why do you admire?As teachers, we all know that "the one who knows is not as good as the one who is good, and the one who is good is not as good as the one who enjoys it" ("The Analects of Confucius Yong Ye") is the most effective and ideal way to lead a life of learning; "Entering "good" and "knowing" by "good" people is the highest level of teaching that all responsible and real teachers in the world should pursue. "Happy learning" is definitely not something that can be achieved by vigorously advocating it. We need to seriously think about the relationship between teaching and learning, devote ourselves to the teaching process, and unremittingly explore in and out of class to seek the most effective way. As for the historical events of the Song Dynasty mentioned by Brother Tengfei, they have a special status and value in Chinese history.Mr. Chen Yinke, a great master of a generation, said such a passage in the "Preface to the Textual Research of Deng Guangming's Official Chronicles of the Song Dynasty", which is worth reading again and again: "Our country's academic studies in recent years, such as archaeology, history, literature and art, and intellectual history, are based on the world situation. Due to Xun Xun’s study, there have been significant changes. It is impossible to judge what the future will be. But it can be said in one word that the revival of the Song Dynasty’s learning, or the establishment of the New Song Dynasty. The culture of the Chinese nation After thousands of years of evolution, it was created in the Zhao and Song Dynasties. After gradually declining, it will eventually revive. For example, although the trees in winter have fallen, their roots are not dead. In midsummer, the branches and leaves are sparse, and the pavilions are like car covers, and they can shelter hundreds of people. From this, the historical events of the Song Dynasty are what we should focus on today."With the splendor of "Two Songs" mentioned by Brother Tengfei, it will definitely attract young students to devote themselves to the great cause of establishing a new Song Dynasty.Such a result, who can say that it is small?

Brother Tengfei has a passage in the "Postscript" of this book, which I particularly admire: "Every time a child in the third year of high school graduates, I will write a passage on the blackboard for them. Zai said: Scholars establish their hearts for the world, establish their lives for the people, inherit their knowledge for the sages, and open peace for all generations. I tell my students that we must follow these four points of Old Master Zhang when we study. In fact, sometimes I am not sure. How many people can listen to it, but I feel that if even one child in a class can listen to it, I will not say it in vain.”

Zhang Zi's "Four Sentence Teachings" is a spiritual palace that Chinese scholars may not be able to come to but never forget.The first time I heard this "four-sentence teaching" was in a history class at the High School Attached to East China Normal University more than 20 years ago.My mentor Mr. Hao Lingsheng's cadenced recitation still echoes in my ears, infiltrating, and of course affecting my life. Like the viewers and readers who love Brother Tengfei, I am eagerly looking forward to the publication of the book.I will present the book to Mr. Hao, who is nearly eighty years old, at the first moment.I believe that my mentor will smile with relief when he sees that the career he has devoted his whole life to has a successor like Brother Tengfei.
