General Yang’s name will be remembered forever by the people of the whole country. I would like to express my condolences, and I hope that I will mourn for you. On January 15, 1950, the Southwest Military and Political Committee and people from all walks of life in Chongqing solemnly held the "Memory of General Yang Hucheng and the Martyrs' Meeting".Southwest party, government and military leaders Liu Bocheng, Deng Xiaoping, Zhang Jichun and Li Da sent elegiac couplets.After the memorial service, the coffins of the nine martyrs including General Yang and Song Qiyun were all covered with brightly colored national flags.
